This location is AMAZING. I had an alert for tire pressure. Andres, quickly greeted me as I come in and let me know he will be with me once he was done with his existing customer. Acknowledging me when I first came in, was a big plus for me. That is a lost art in customer service these days. As promise once he was done, we immediately went to my car. I let him know what was going on & what I had experienced. He explained there could be a variety of reasons, but stated he will look into it right away and advise me to sit in the waiting area while he checked on my tires. After a short while later, he came to me explain everything. He did such as adding air to my tires explained.Sometimes they fluctuate with weather changes and recommended a possible wheel alignment, if the problem persists. I had my tires replaced here about a year ago, and recently I got a nail in one of them. I sent my girlfriend in to get it patched, and she was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait just for a simple nail repair. After waiting that long, they ended up saying they couldn't patch the tire because the tread was too low. The tread is clearly still good--well over 50% left--so the explanation didn't really make sense. The service was frustrating and felt like a waste of time for something that should've been a quick fix. Only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the manager did step in and apologize on behalf of the employee she was dealing with. read more

When the notification came up on my car a day later regarding the tire pressure being low, I brought it right back. At 27,211 miles I purchased 4 Yokohama advan sport tires for my car that came with a 65,000 mile warranty and I added the replacement warranty if tires go below 3/32nd tread for full replacement within 3 years on 9/7/23. However, since September 2025 I have been given the run around by Discount Tire and the store manager John. In September John offered to replace my 2 front tires and charge me for rear tires. However all 4 tires per Lexus El Cajon are at 3/32nds and need replacement. my vehicle was at 52,000 miles on 9/15/25 which under warranty should be covered in full. The reviews online show that these tires are defective and unsafe to drive. The latest response that I received from Discount Tire through the better business bureau is that someone from management will reach out to me. But no one has and better business closed their file. Called the store and spoke with Jeremy. I was looking for falcon wildpeak all terrain tires for my Tacoma. They happen to have it in stock but was holding it for someone who didn't show up. He told me to come on in and had my tires installed within 2 hours of my call. Also received a 10% discount for being a AAA member and another 8% off for using their credit card no interest for 6 months. Out the door for about $1100! Can't beat that for all terrains! He was very helpful, courteous and gave me a good tire pressure gauge that I needed and even checked the tire pressure on all 4 tires and didn't even charge even though I offered to pay him. Dear Discount Tire Customer Service, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your El Cajon location on Broadway on Friday, July 18, 2025. I brought in my son's vehicle, a 2025 Honda Civic, due to a flat tire. I informed the staff member that I suspected there was a nail in the tire. After waiting over two hours, I was told there was nothing wrong with the tire. Despite what I clearly saw, the technician dismissed my concern and said they found no issues. The following day, Saturday, July 19th, the tire lost air dramatically again. I took the vehicle to another local tire shop on Greenfield in El Cajon. They immediately confirmed that there was indeed a nail in the tire, and I documented this with photos and videos. I returned to the Discount Tire location to speak with a manager, but the sales associate said no manager was available. I explained what had happened, and he checked the system and insisted again that nothing was wrong with the tire. His tone and response made me feel like my concerns were being brushed off. When I saw the same staff member who had originally helped me on Friday, I reminded him that I had clearly pointed out the nail. He had no response and simply looked at me without saying anything. To make things worse, when I first came in on Friday, instead of focusing on addressing the issue, the staff seemed more interested in selling me a tire warranty and suggesting I replace the tires - even though the car is brand new. This felt like an upsell tactic rather than a genuine effort to help. I am a businessman, and I do not appreciate being treated this way. I believe in honest service and treating customers with respect - something that was clearly lacking in this experience. I'm especially concerned for young drivers or those who may not know much about cars and could easily be misled. I still respect Discount Tire as a company and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why I am so disappointed. I urge you to better train your employees not only on tire inspections but also on ethical customer service. Definitely the best DT location I've been to. They are friendly, professional, and quick. DT had a Labor Day sale so I ordered a set of tires online and had them shipped to the store, then scheduled an appointment to install them on the day of arrival. My tires came in 2 days earlier than expected and they called me to ask if I wanted to get them installed earlier. I declined, but had free time the day before my appointment so I decided to go in. They took me in no problem and got me out in less than an hour. Later that night, my TPMS light went on and my truck wasn't recognizing the sensors so I brought it in the next morning. There was a small line, but it moved quickly and when they got to me they assessed and fixed my problem in less than 15 minutes. This will always be my go-to location for my tire needs. read more

Came in on Monday 1/23 and spent $300 for two new tires. Went home. Came outside a few hours later to get dinner and BOTH of my new tires are completely flat. Now I have to miss work to go back into Discount Tire for them to fix it, which is going to cost me another $400 to $500 in missing pay. (I work for myself, I dont get PTO). So now I'm out nearly $800 for two tires. Y'all are tire guys. That what you're suppose to be pros at. On my commute home from work, my tire pressure light came on, didn't think much as this happens often as the weather fluctuates. Went straight home, my car was sitting for 10 minutes max, got back in my car to drive to put air in it and noticed I could hear that I was driving on a flat. Got out and looked at the flat and saw a nail in my tire. I immediately drove to discount tire to have them patch with only 10 minutes until they close. Got there with only 5 minutes to spare but they weren't able to check me in until after closing time. They STILL graciously still took me and fixed my tire. Couldn't appreciate them more!! read more

I was able to purchase my tires and Make a Next Day Appointment at 8:15AM. The app Text messaged me to confirm my appointment the night before and day of my appointment . I arrived at 8:15 and the bay looked full to me. Someone greeted me right away and was able to get my car back in the bay right away. I was quoted an hour, which is already phenomenal because I had to wait for it. They were able to get me in my car driving away by 8:45AM. In 30 minutes they replaced all 4 tires including Mounting and Balancing. Everyone was super helpful and Nice. I really appreciate good customer service these days. When it comes to car issues yo I never know what a nightmare it might be. EL Cajon Discount Tire took away those worries and made it a very pleasant experience. Nail in tire 4pm on a Saturday and I walk in. There were over 10 people in the shop but they took my SUV in right away. They closed at 5pm and they managed to get everyone taken care of. Excellent work ethic here. Two people in front of me also had nails in their tires and the workers found an extra two nails in one of the other customers car. These guys go the extra mile with no attitude. They were even nice to an elderly woman who came in almost at closing and they brought in a soft chair for her and told her to sit inside where it was warmer. Aww! Got their early and they were fairly busy. I am handy caped and access was easy. The counter people were just OK with service. I was advised to wander through a long parking lot and perhaps find my way back to have access to the pressure check lane. I know it is a "free" service but I have a problem driving around an entire massive parking lot to access this "service"! I gladly gave the nice man $5.00 for his help. I got to give it up to Discount Tire. This is one consistently good company, all the way from Utah to California. I first utilized Discount Tire in the early 2000s when I was stationed in Utah, and have used them all over Southern California ever since. And they have always done me right. I don't have to worry about them scratching my wheels or doing some kind of noob tomfoolery. Prices are transparent, right on the website and usually very competitive. I recently acquired a used Mercedes GLC 43. The previous owner had put the cheapest tires he could find when it came to replace the front tires. So I took a gamble and purchased a used set through Ebay. Turns out that the gamble paid off because I got them for a steal of a deal and they were in great condition. I brought them over to Discount, and David and the crew installed the tires flawlessly. I expect nothing more and nothing less from this company. Only several days later, I hit a curb in a moment of empty minded foolishness, and one of the new (as in just installed) front tires developed a weird distorted protusion in it, something I had never seen in a tire before. I brought the car over to him, and he told me that unfortunately it was an impact bubble and the tire had to be replaced. I was dismayed but told him to go ahead and get a replacement ordered. He had a new OE tire shipped in and on the car in less than 24 hours. Now that is what I call skills. It sucked to have to replace the tire I just got, but David and the crew at Discount made it as smooth and painless as it could be. Thank you gentlemen! read more

I noticed a bubble on my front left tire. Hell of a bummer going into the weekend. I've went to Discount Tire in another state and I thought I'd give them another try. I even compared prices vs Costco and Discount Tire's was $50 cheaper. I tried signing up online but it was giving me hell so I called. Eddie picked up and I told him what I wanted. When I got there the wheels I had picked out wasn't in stock but Eddie recommended another brand which was better than I picked out and it was still in my price range! I was told I would get a notice via text and it would take about an hour. All in all it was a really great service.
