Best tire shop in San Diego !!! They Always go above and beyond, can't recommend you guys !!

This place need to do their customers better. I went in there to have two front tires replaced, knowing all well all my lug nuts where there. Well only come to find out while driving down the 8 the lug nut comes flying off hits the underneath of my car causing my to almost get into an accident. One of the guys claims there is only 4 on one of my tires nah, I know there was 5 I know my car! SO GARCIAS JUST KNOW YOU WILL NO LONG GET MINE OR MY HUSBANDS BUSINESS! That's a crappy doing on y'all's end. And then when asked for a spare one to put on it, YALL SUPPOSEDLY DONT HAVE ANY?!? All because your crappy workers are lazy and just wanted to run off and get lunch. WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE? MIND YOU IM NOT THE FIRST PERSON THAT YALL HAVE DONE THIS TO! I want to Say a Hige Thank You to the People at Garcias tire shop. I went in today to have them check a tire I had recently purchased since my 2003 Pt Cruiser was shimming and pulling to the right when driven. Not only did the young man who was helping me find a bubble in my Left rear tire which was not apparent to me. He removed the tire and place the previously Left front tire on the rear. I went to get a used tire and they said $30 dollars and when I went to check my bank they charged me 61 dollars, I then went back and The lady said they charge 30 dollars for tire and 30 dollars service charge. And said that i probably didn't understand. They did give me the 30 dollars back. But what a rip off for a used tire to pay $60! read more

Garcia's rules and the hard core show was bad ass. Such a sick way for the local kids to get some energy out. Had an old school punk rock feel.No good venues willing to put on those shows in lakeside, and Garcia's, thank you for that. Also, 60 bucks for a used tire is a smoking deal. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!! I gave this place way too many chances. I Bought some tires here a couple of weeks ago and both kept losing air. I had to repair them. Today, one blew up on me on the freeway. Same thing happened to my wife's tires she purchased here. They kept losing air! DO NOT buy from here. Read the other reviews! I used this shop for repairs and buying used tires for many years. Recently a woman is now in charge in the office she says no men work there and no negotiating prices. Too many tire shops in this neighborhood that have a good customer service and willing to negotiate on pricing. For the Man HATE and non negotiating. I called earlier in the day to swap out all five tires on my jeep wrangler I talk to Rosa and she was the only tire shop that could get me in the same day. I didn't call back until an hour to closing but she still told me I could come in as long as I got there by 4:30. I got there and they got all five rooms on my jeep swapped out to new rims and did an excellent job. They accidentally kept my spare which they promptly gave back to me. I was confused on the tire sensors and they took the time to explain it to me patiently I couldn't be happier with this company. It is a hole in the wall that I drive by every day and never noticed. I recommend this shop and I will be coming back here for all my tire needs. Thank you to Rosa and the installer that helped me out yesterday. They had four cars in their Bay and a minivan in front of me also. They unmounted my off-road tire but were unable to mount the new tires. When asked to remount the old tire the guy said "I don't want to". I asked for a refund but was told "he tried" and was not given a refund. I will be disputing the charges. read more

Bought 4 used tires from them. One came out defective. Had a small hole on the sidewall that you cant patch. I paid 50$ for it. They should inspect there tires before selling defective ones. No guarantee or refund for used tires btw read more

Didn't want to spend 800$ on a new set of tires for my truck, so I came here and got a really nice set of BFG all terrain tires for 312$ out the door with mounting and balancing. Sadly my truck didn't like the tires after driving it around for a day so I went back to see what they could do for me, they changed my tires out for ones that fit better and just as good tread as the other pair for free. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a nice set of tires for a good price read more

These guys saved the day... I own a small business and I was in the company van when I pulled up to a customers site in Lakeside with a flat tire... Real bummer. I asked the customer if there was a tire place close by... She told me Garcia's! First of all, it's always a good sign when someone can provide a referral right off the top of their head. I called them up an a very nice lady told me they could have me back on the road in 20 minutes. Fortunately I had a can of fix-a-flat that held me over the little under one mile to Garcia's. On a second stroke of luck they had only one new tire left that would fit my van! The tire cost me only $45 and they had me out of there in just over 20 minutes... Someone got there just before me so I had to wait a little longer. I was more than happy with the price and I would have payed double or triple that amount in order to get back on the road in such a short amount of time. I rarely if ever shop on price rather opting for convenience - especially not having a long wait - I HATE WAITING... Now that I think about it, I feel like a cheapskate because I only gave the tech a $5 tip! They also had a picture on the wall of their shop dating back to 1987. Per my calculations, that's about 25 years in business. This isn't the newest or cleanest place in the world but they get it done and get it done fast. I guess that's why folks know them by name. If I lived in Lakeside as opposed to Ocean Beach, I would most certainly go there for all my tire needs! read more

Gotta say that I am BIG BIG BIG on customer service and on a Sunday late afternoon right before closing, I stopped in to ask for one used steel rim for my spare tire. The mechanic and I sorted through 100 rims with no luck to match my car. He had to remove and replace my wheel in order to get the bolt pattern, etc for the match. This was my third time here and these have been nothing but fast, knowledgeable and very well priced and not reasonable but flat out cheap. Five stars all around. Once I didn't even get charged because the guy said ur tires are good, I had a nail in one but didn't go all the way through, so no leak. HORRIBLE. If I could give it negative stars I would. Came here to get 4 used tires, have gone here before and service was okay. This time they "finished" putting my tires on, I paid, and headed on my way. When I was driving down the road my car felt weird and unstable, I then heard popping and out of no where the entire wheel came off!!! YES THE WHEEL CAME OFF MY VEHICLE!!!! I was very lucky that I wasn't hit from behind as the cars behind me swerved out of the lane avoiding collision, and I was able to pull off to a side parking lot. This was the most unprofessional, horrible service I have ever had, I could not believe it. They "forgot" to put on the lug-nuts, yet they are "professionals" okay. They came to my location down the road and jacked up my car and put the tire back on, when I asked for a refund the manager told me "If you go somewhere else, have them take our tires off and bring them back to me I will refund you" haha what a joke! She ended up giving me $35 back!! Kidding me! UNPROFESSIONAL. Would not recommend this shop to anyone, unless you want your wheel to come off while you're driving! read more

Garcia's Tire Shop is a small, unpretentious shop with a good stock of new and used tires on hand. I took my daughter in to get a couple used tires within her tight budget. They showed us the selection to choose from, and allowed plenty of time for us to make our pick. Two decent used tires for a mid-sized car came in at $70 out the door, including balancing, mounting, old tire disposal, and tax. They did the job in about 35 minutes, while we waited, and double-teamed the job to get us out quickly. They were respectful, and my daughter was comfortable there, which is not always the case for ladies in auto repair-type shops. There was a bit of a language barrier with some, but not all, employees. The waiting room is neat, simple, and relatively cool, though it does not offer a customer restroom. The shop is open M - F 8:00 to 6:00, Sat. 8:00 - 4:30, and Sun. 9:00 - 3:00. They are located on Woodside Ave. between the Riverford and Wintergarden exits off the 67 freeway, and almost directly across the street from the KFC restaurant. read more

Long time customer, since early 2000's. I buy my tires online and bring them here to be installed. The shop has also repaired my flats throughout the years with no complaints. The problem is they don't use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts. I always loosen them and torque the lugs at home with a torque wrench, and the lugs are always over-torqued. This can damage components by leading to warp rotors, warped wheels, and stripped lugs. The last time I had new tires installed, I took my torque wrench with me and installed the tires/wheels myself. read more

Garcia's popped my used tire cherry....and it was soooo goood.... I'll be honest, I was REALLY nervous about getting used tires....I went back and forth in my head, deciding on if I wanted to throw down big bucks for new tires for my truck or save some cash and try getting used ones for the first time. I didn't have time to wait...I had recently discovered that I was crusing around with steel chord showing on my driver's side tire...how'd that happen?? so I was anxious to get some new rubber....quick.....I've also had some mechanical issues with my truck = possible ticking time bomb so I didn't really want to throw $300+ in to new tires if my truck was going to crap out on me ina year...ya dig??? Sooooo I decided to call Garcia's...I drive by them all the time and am a fan of supporting local busniesses when possible. When I called they told me they had 2 tires in my size but they weren't matching BUT they were getting a shipment in later and they would likely have 2 that matched come in so I should call back to check. They also told me that they would likely be $49 a tire...shoooot, only 49 a tire??? I'm DEF calling back! THey also had new ones in stock for $135...also a good price compared to the big name places. 4 hours went by and I called back....they had 2 matching tires in and the price was the same. I asked how long it would take...expecting an answer of 1-1.5 hours...I was told 20 minutes as long as they weren't busy! They were open until 6 and I got off work at 430 so I told them I'd swing by after work if that wasn't too late...they said no problem. So I had decided....I was going for used.....I was nervous......I was wondering what the tires were going to look like..... I pulled into Garcia's, they weren't busy. They rolled the tires out and to my SHOCK they were BF Goodrich All Terrain in GREAT condition...and almost the same as the ones I've got on the back....I was PUMPED! I was totally expecting some off name brand for that cheap.....nope. The only bummer was the waiting room was HOT with this god awful weather we've had, but they offered me a free drink :) I was back on the road with bomb bitching gently used, new to me tires in 20 minutes!!! and the total cost??? $98...TOTAL...no extra fees, service charge, disposal fees...nothing....the $49 per tire that they quoted me....PERIOD. I will go back here for all my tire needs and if you're in Lakeside, you should too! read more
