I thought very carefully before I write this review. I didn't want to write just at the moment of anger. Don't like to place negative reviews/comments but hopefully owner of business will use this feedback in constructive way and make it better business for everyone. When I called this business person that who answer phone call was friendly. First good impression. I explained that I had nail in my tire and needs to be fixed and asked for price. I have been told price which I was happy about and stopped by in 10 minutes after initial call. When they took tire out and they discover multiple nails were in tire and told me that cost will be double of what I have been told. I would be okay with it if they were doing right fix. After 15 minutes work, they show me strip and nails were in my tire. Price increase made sense for labor and material wise. So far everything was way to be I expected. Than when they supposedly done patching tire and collected money they told me that this tire would not get too far and I should replace with new one. New individual tire cost was around 450 according to website they showed in the office. After I ride my car a day; I saw low tire pressure alert for same tire supposedly fixed. I went to different tire shop I explained my situation and experience . Tire shop in Linda Vista re patched/ fix what supposedly can not be fixed. I have been driving my car since and it has been 2 months. I hope that my experience was not their usual and others can get better service from this business. read more

So Bex gets to her car to go to work and UGH! Flat tire. I didn't want to replace just one, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on two. I've driven by Alvarez Tire a few times so I gave them a call. He happen to have two gently used 225/70R/17 tires in stock. Just what the doctor ordered! I drove down there (not even five minutes from home). Just one guy working by himself out of a small warehouse. Nice guy. He got right to work on Becky's car. He even finished tightening the lug nuts with a torque wrench, he didn't just impact gun the shit out of them so they are impossible to remove. Excellent work. I was out of there in less than 20 minutes for 80 bucks. Two quality Firestone tires that look almost new. Hell yeah I'll be back! read more

I brought in a tire for them to look at that had a small leak and he took one look at my tire and said look there is some rust on the wheel I don't want to even mess with it. I told him I'd pay for the tire to be removed and inspected I just needed it to be fixed as it had a small leak. Now if there is a reason you can't fix it, don't have he skills etc fine just tell me... I can take it to someone who knows how to fix a tire. Just don't be rude, dismissive and arrogant and just give me a valid reason you can't fix it. I don't appreciate the attitude and the unwarranted Foff attitude! I brought the tire to a place close by and they fixed it for FREE and it took him like 3 min! I tipped the guy 20$! Be nice and help me get hooked up tell me to eff off and make a brush away motion to me then get a bad review. The location is a no-frills warehouse but they have had a great used tire in the size I needed twice in the past few months. The first visit I had to wait for about 25 minutes. Today I was in and out in no time. Their prices are competitive with other used tire sellers, and the service is courteous and efficient. Carlos is legit. He knows his stuff and takes the time to give you all the info you need to make an informed decision. I'm no car expert, but I drive an Audi TT and needed new tires. He sat down at his computer with me and went over the pros and cons of all my options. This is the second time I've been there. The first was for a replacement tire. When he saw what the problem was on my original tire, he showed me how it just needed a patch instead of replacement. Got outta there in 20 min for $15. Much better than the $350 the other shop wanted cuz they only were interested in replacing the whole set. C'mon!! Anyway, this guy deserves way more business. Give him a shot. Carlos is a man of his word! I needed a couple of tires that he didn't stock, but would have them by 10.30AM the next morning. I called the next morning and the tires where there, he said bring the truck in and he would get it done while I waited. I drove over and 1/2 hour later drove out with the tires installed!
