6/29/2026 - based on the reviews I was skeptical of the business since it had a lot of 1 stars or would have done zero stars to then 5 stars. My friend was here for a 7:30 appnt and I'm glad he didn't listen to me. He was keeping me up to date then I had to take him there before they closed to pick his daughter's car up. He went there for a brake fluid change, tire alignment and front struts replacement. Total was about $1900. It was 44% cheaper than El Cajon BMWs estimate. Tony and Angel were exceptional with communication. Seems everything at the moment appears good with the car and the repairs. Time will tell. I would recommend this place based on the only my visit there. 5 stars overall. The one item which is odd they changed the driver setting 1 to another setting which wasn't necessary. Have to figure out the right seat position. Why they would save a complete different position to fix a car and not manually adjust it. I'm clueless. Never had this before. read more

Disappointed with Service and Scheduling I had an appointment at Tire Choice Auto Service Centers off Mission Gorge in Santee for a 4:30 PM alignment. When I arrived, I was told the alignment technician had already clocked out -- even though their posted business hours go until 6:00 PM. What's worse, the alignment guy was still sitting there, clearly not gone for the day. It's really frustrating to book an appointment, show up on time, and then be turned away because someone didn't feel like finishing their shift. If your business can't honor scheduled appointments during your open hours, you shouldn't offer those times in the first place. Poor communication and customer service. I won't be coming back. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change, and it took 2.5 hours... the staff was very nice and friendly, but I have NEVER had an oil change take so long. I wish I'd known it would be taking so long so that I could have made other arrangements to spend my time. After two hours I got up to ask for an estimated time frame, and they said they'd just ran to go get something they needed for the oil change... so apparently they didn't even get started on my car -even though I had an appointment- until two hours in. Again, they were nice and friendly, but I'll be going elsewhere for my next car service. read more

DO NOT LET THESE GUYS TOUCH YOUR TIRES! We have had other local places in Santee do a great job. Our usual place was busy so we came here 2 months ago for an oil change and tire rotation. Huge mistake! They damaged and cross threaded our lug nuts so badly that AAA couldn't remove our tire today without damaging the nuts. When we went back in to have them replaced they ordered the wrong ones. They tried to blame the whole problem on the lugnuts and not the tech who cross threaded and damaged them. Fortunately I have an automotive background and knew what happened but someone who doesn't know cars would've been totally taken advantage of. Poor quality of service and lack of taking responsibility for a mistake are things I try to avoid during vehicle repairs. There are other, better shops in Santee that are not corporate owned and care about good service. Choose them instead! read more

Stopped by here and the dude with braided hair was talking trash to his coworker. Always wanting to give everyone the benefit of the doubt I had him come out and he quickly said I need a new tire. They are almost new. I used to work at discount years ago so I asked him to look at it to see if it could be patched. He said "I'm not bullshitting you bro" in front of my little girl. Now I'm mad closed the door to my car and had a word with him. He said "fuck you" and I told him the same. Not acceptable in any place of business to talk like this to a customer, let alone in front of children. Went to discount and had absolutely the best customer service I could ask for. Turns out I did need a new tire but this was not the way to earn my business. If this were my business I would definitely be looking for a new salesman and let these guys go. He said, "You won't get a better deal, buddy,' and hung up. The irony is that the price he gave me was the highest out of the 6 shops I called. I took our Honda Fit in for front breaks and was hit with a $1500 quote for pads, rotors, back brake shoes, serpentine belt, and a tire. After my sticker shock, we determined that the serpentine belt was fine as were the back brake shoes. He got the price down to $971 for front pads, rotors and a single tire to replace a defective one. Here's where this place cheats the customer: They were charging $249.99 for pads ($74.99 at Auto Zone), $175 per rotor for $350 ($116 at Auto Zone), rear brake shoes at $85.82 ($33,99 at Auto Zone) and $71.97 for their tire kit over and above the $118 for the tire. I left and went to Family Auto Service a mile down the road and had the brakes done for $350 out the door. They even offered to let me bring my own parts which just shows they are fair. TireChoice would not allow that.... When I talked to the manager at TireChoice after paying for the tire, she explained that they had scripts to read to the customers to talk them into different levels of service (warranty). She actually showed me the laminated large print script sheets behind the counter. This company is a complete rip off and takes advantage of unsuspecting persons. If you live in Santee, you must try Family Auto Service which is a fair class act operation. read more

I was very pleased with the service and professionalism from this location. Gentleman named Chris assisted my wife and made her feel very comfortable when her car was giving her trouble. They fixed the wheel issue quickly and affordably. I felt like they could have given her the run around and overcharged her for services but Chris explained to her in detail what was wrong and what it would take to fix. I got a screw in my tire on the holiday. Nobody was open.. but seen their sign saying they were open on the holiday. Sales person was extremely friendly and helpful. And Fast. Remove the Tire showed me that the screw when he pulled it out was short and did not penetrate the tire. And it's not leaking . Put tire back on. And did not charge me anything. I am handicapped and appreciate good service, and will have them do my scheduled services coming up. You should try them too. read more

This morning I had noticed my tire was slashed so I couldn't drive to work , had to use my wife's car , I was stressing at work all day because I just wanted to get it done ! As soon as I called here they told me come in as soon as possible and they'll take care of me . CHRIS was awesome and straight to the point , he took all my anxiety away I'm telling you ! They were able to change my tire in 20 minutes !! if I could leave no star I would . went there to get tire rotation and cost f alignment. they said it would take a few minutes. they did @bsolutely nothing for 45 minutes and then after I nsisted my car be taken off the rack and keys returned an unpleasant looking man lowered the car and wouldn't give me my key saying the charge was $50. didn't do anything and no agreement made by me. after I offered to call the Police he gave me my car and I drove off. what an experience. Went in and was introduced to Chris, great man and very greeting. he down the process with me and explained it all. By the end of it all we had a deal and was very satisfied. If I could leave ZERO stars I would! I purchased my tires there at 69000 miles on my car. EVERY single 5000 miles religiously, I would take my car in to this location and thought I was having my tires rotated, etc and all service done on my car THERE including oil change etc. At 104,000 my tires had uneven wear as my tires, I was told were never need rotated or aligned, and had to have the front tires replaced. The gentleman behind the counter would not apply the warranty of the tires and the 70,000 miles tires only had 35,000 on them but I had no choice but to purchase BRAND NEW TIRES. WHAT A SCAM. Cost me 1200.00. Do not purchase tires there! Do not rely on them to do the service they are paid to do. They should at the very least refund 50% of the tires that I had on my car as part of the warranty on the tires. Instead I got nothing! There was no manager on site and the two gentleman on site didn't know how to reach one. it was a horrible outfit. I had been going there for a long time so now I need to go back and look at my other vehicles' and check what kind of racket they pulled on my other cars. Also forgot to mention that I had paid for LIFETIME brake pads which they tired to charge me for which good thing I remembered and said something to them. Had a flat tire on Mission Gorge Road I had no choice had to pull into tire choice. he said he could fix it right then and there he wasn't busy. he wanted me to sign the paper and I noticed the price to fix a flat was $46. When I asked what for he said he had to replace the TIre Pressure Monitor System. I told him I didn't have that and he insisted I did. Unfortunately I had to give this place only two stars. We took the car in because the brakes were making noise. $1600 later we replaced all rotors, brakes, etc. We had to take it back 3 times because they were still making noise. They said it was possible the rotors were warped from the factory, ok it happens, let's fix it. After the third time of it not being fixed we took it somewhere else and they fixed it right away. I know, I should have asked for some money back but we were over it. The only thing that was good about this place is that the staff was very nice and apologetic. I have had brakes replaced, oil changes, and general health checkups for my vehicle which has many miles. I wanted to share with Manager Chris and the entire staff at Tire Choice their professionalism and service did not go unnoticed. Because of the customer service delivered and services provided, I have no problem referring Tire Choice to others. I visited when the shop was busy. I called on a Tuesday to setup my Saturday appt for an oil change and a fuel filter change on my Ram 1500. Called back two more times to make sure especially when they said they'd call me and didn't. I should have realized then they didn't have they're act together. I only went with them cause the dealer was closed as well as other places on my list. I got there early and they hadn't ordered the filters. After a 2 hr wait I wondered about the fuel filter chg and when they would do that. They didn't have it written down. So another 20 mins for a filter to arrive from Autozone. Then they couldn't removed the cover didn't have the proper tool. Another call and 20 minute wait for delivery of a tool. Four plus hours later they finished and not a sorry one and a $238 bill. I just hope I have any issues. While they were draining the oil with my truck up in the air they tipped the pan and spilled oil all over the ground and on one of the guys. They may be good for tires but that's it. read more

I have a rental car from Enterprise which needed an oil change. They said bring it to Tire Choice in Santee. I called, made an appointment and brought it in. When I made the appointment, I was told it would take 30-40 minutes. I walked in to drop off my keys and talked to Chris, the manager. I asked about the 40 minute wait and he said nope, 2 hours. I told him I was told 40 minutes and he got very angry. He yelled that "this person is before you and this person is before you" and he wasn't going to let me cut in line, which I never asked to do. I told him to not speak to me this way, and he got more aggressive. I asked his name and started walking out, again telling him I didn't appreciate his poor attitude and having him yell things like "Christ!" at me. He said he wasn't going to work on my car anymore and to get my keys. I did, visibly upset. He then followed me out the door into the parking lot as if he wanted to fight. I thought cool I'll take a lil walk around santee. I came back at 2:00 and they said it's not ready meanwhile people that I know came in after me were getting taken care of and leaving. On February 23, 2020 we went in to get all 4 new tires for our vehicle. Then we take our vehicle to another location the next day for wheel alignment and find out the tires are 4years old, not only that but they have a weird bulges on the sides. We called back to Tire Choice, they told they were going to order some replacement tires. We wait and wait to hear from them then on March 9 we get a call back only now we have to call Goodyear and talk to them about the tires. This is a pain in the neck as I paid a good amount of money to get new tires not ones that are old and have bulges. I'm reading these bulges can be a hazard. Please check check the year of your tires. Had I know that i was in for a nightmare, I would have NOT gone to Tire Choice and stuck with my usual tire place which is Costco. I hope that we can resolve this but buyer beware. read more
