Came for an oil change and realized later that day that there was a weird smell coming from my hood. I saw white smoke coming from my hood as well. I lifted the hood to find that the oil cap was NEVER REPLACED after the oil change was done. I had oil splashed all over the parts and underneath the padding of the interior hood. I couldn't believe the guy made such a rookie mistake! When I called the shop, to tell them about my problem, no one answered the phone, even though it was 4:50 and they closed at 5. They were closed on Saturday too. I had to wait the whole labor day weekend to go to this shop again. When I went again, the mechanic (older guy) was very defensive and couldn't believe that the oil cap wasn't replaced. I told him I could show him pictures of the damage, but right away he refused to see any. Then he started playing mind games, asking me, "Who cleaned your car?" when the car was visibly dirty. When I used my index finger to wipe the outside of the engine and show him the grim and oil, he told me that the car "was like that before." I told him that it wasn't and told him I took pictures and videos. He then asked me, "what do you want me to do?" How about some accountability? Apology? How about saying that you'll at the least clean the exterior of the engine? I asked him to clean the parts underneath the hood. He told me to COME BACK! He literally told me to come back in 2 or 3 days! Wow. Do you think I would let him touch my car after his unwillingness, deception, and rude behavior? I came to this auto shop because it was highly rated on Yelp, but I could not believe the horrible service that I got. I called another day to ask to speak to the owner, but the mechanic refused to even give me his name. In fact, he lied and said that HE was the owner!!! But I saw the owner on the day I went in for the oil change. Don't come here unless you want a rude, unaccountable jerk to ruin your car. read more

I arrived at lunchtime... The young man at the counter was having his lunch, so I just stood there waiting for him to acknowledge me (which he never did). I understand you're on your lunch break, but it would be nice to be acknowledged. I finally stuck my head around the corner and spoke to one of the mechanics. Yes, they were on their lunch break, and he said he would get to me as soon as they were finished. I didn't have an appointment, and they were able to get me in and change my oil with no problem. My 16 year old daughter went to get an oil change here. Since I called a few days ahead and was told they don't take appointments, I sent my daughter in on her own for a walk in oil change. She was told it would take 15 minutes. After sitting there for 45 minutes in the hot office she calls me to tell me they can't change her oil because they're too busy working on another car. I wish they would have told her this from the get go instead of wasting her time because she could have picked up a shift for work that she passed up. Wow, thankful I did my research and found a good mechanic. I have been in search of a new mechanic for about a year and from the moment I first spoke to them to the completion of a $1500 job I have been extremely satisfied with their service. I called in about upper and lower ball joints, oil change and the serpentine belt. I went in for an inspection they confirmed there was issues with both items. They gave me a very fair estimate on site and a couple good pieces of advice. We scheduled the work and the job was completed on time. These are good honest people with integrity. I was recommended here by a friend after I was quoted over $1500 by a dealer for some regular maintenance. Not only did they manage to get everything repaired within the day (rear brake pads, spark plugs, and a whole hose that was causing my check engine light to illuminate), but it was nearly half what the dealer quoted. They don't push extra maintenance that they don't think is absolutely necessary, and they'll show you the parts they removed. Don't expect them to go out of their way. I have been coming to them for about a year for repairs and oil changes. The last time I went for oil change, I didn't keep the window sticker of when to come again as I usually write that down elsewhere. Anyway, I called them today to see if they could look up my record for the mileage I needed to come back in at. I spoke to Raad (one of the owners) who told me they didn't have time to look that up that they were short handed that I either needed to look at the last invoice (which I don't have) or on the window sticker. He was kinda rude about it too. Like how dare I interrupt his work to ask him a stupid question like that. I asked him if that meant he wouldn't look it up later either and he confirmed that. I told him if he couldn't do a small service like that for a good customer that I would go somewhere else and his attitude was good riddance. What kind of business does not help out a customer especially when that would mean more money in their pocket later. Up to now, I had been happy with them. They had even referred us to a great business, action cylinder, that did work that they didn't handle. Awesome service! Brought in my car to get an oil changed here. Unfortunately the mechanic hit a small bump. The mechanic came to me being honest that my car oil filter cover was too tight and it got cracked. So they went out of their way and went to get the part replaced quickly and upgraded my filter cover with a better one with no extra charge. My friend recommended this place and she sure was right! Ive used this place a lot for oil changes but this is twice they have turned me away. I pulled up at 4:27, came straight from work and asked for an oil change and he told me it was too late. THEY CLOSE AT 5!! Im not asking for a free service TAKE MY CASH AND CHANGE MY OIL, it's a 10 minute job. I said but you don't close for 30 minutes, he says " we have stuff to do before we close". I just walked away. I get that it's close to closing time but it's just a effin oil change. Amazing mechanic! This shop specializes in Mustangs. Although it is a busy shop and it could take a little bit longer to get your car back than standard shops, the prices are exceedingly cheap and the work is top quality. Before I brought my mustang in I had taken my car in to two different mechanics for a diagnostic and neither one of these shops were able to diagnose the problem with my car. Pierre was able to diagnose the problem and fix everything for a fraction of any other shop I was able to get a quote from. If you have a Mustang and need more than an oil change or very basic work it's definitely worth the drive out to Lakeside to have your car worked on. read more
