Had a check engine light come on and stopped by here to get some help. The manager, Jeremy was outstanding. He helped me hook up the code reader. And then took it inside to get a printout of what the issue was, and then he helped me get the parts and spray that I needed to fix my air filter. I often have people tell me Thanks for my service from being in the military,But I really was happy that customer service at this location was great and I can tell friends to go to this location and be treated well when it seems that soooo many businesses have lost that touch. read more

Stopped in on 10/16 at 6:00 pm to grab a quick part. The line was about 7 deep and there was only one cashier. He was doing a good job but definitely needed help. Several customers were getting upset because of the wait. One of them asked if he was the only one working and he said his manager was in the back "making the schedule". After another 10 minutes waiting I asked him if he could ask his manager to help him. He went to the back for a few minutes then came back. He said his manager wasn't back there, and he didn't know where he was. I finally got up to the counter and the young man apologized for the delay. I let him know it was not his fault. I spent 30 minutes total in Autozone. At least I got my part. Three others in line waited as long as I did, only to find out their part was not in stock. It's possible that the labor shortage is affecting Autozone like many other businesses. However the manager should have been available to help his team member. I doubt I'll be returning to this location. read more

The Folks here are nice but are a little confused or dont understand what customer service is.Rushing to the store to get there at their opening at 7.30 am and see many 5-6 people still waiting at 8.15 am for the store to open with no employees in sight..Then again at 10 am we stopped back with a sign to open at 11 am..Get out of bed and open the store for our loyal customers. Gas in $6 a gallon so be there for your customers or pay their gas. People need to boycott this place until they get a little courtesy. I will give them one more try but after that will go to a place that wants your business. read more

I would like to start by saying that I will never ever go back to any AutoZone store because of the terrible experience I had at this store located at 1795 e main st, El Cajon. I went in to buy an AC service bottle for my car and when I got home i realized that they gave me the wrong item which didn't fit to my car to add AC Freon so I went back to return it and get the right item that fits on my car. I spoke to The clerk "Aron Delgado" (manager) which helped me the first time. Shockingly and Unfortunately this manager was very unprofessional and told me that he can give me a different brand that will fit my car which was about $11 cheaper than the one I bought at first. I told him sure I can return the one I bought and get the one that's cheaper (that fits my car), however "Aron" did not want to make a refund for the first item I bought and just wanted to swap both items even though he is giving me the $10 cheaper one. So I told him that's fine but then I realized that he did not want to give me $10 difference between both brands. I was very shocked that he was trying to keep the $10 even though I didn't even open the first item I bought because it didn't fit on my car anyways. I told him that's not right and that I wanted to speak with his supervisor and he was so rude and said that no one is going to help me. I was so disappointed and humiliated of the way he spoke to me in front of all the customers that were there at the time. After that I refused to leave until he either exchange the item or return the $10 difference and I take the cheaper brand, he then tells me that he called the police on me, so I said great because I would like for them to come so I can explain to them that he is trying to keep $10 difference even though I'm returning or exchanging the product with another brand. I wasn't going to let him rob me with $10 so I called the corporate while I was there waiting for the police and I explained the situation. The corporate apologized and called "Aron" and told him to swap the item and give me the $10 difference. Then I was surprised again when I heard "Aron" telling the corporate that I was lying and was assaulting the customers there. At the end, the police never showed (Aron was lying about calling them as he lied to the corporate that I assaulted a customer) even though he was bothering the customers and had asked at least 3 people that came in for their full names and phone number as witnesses. Then I went outside to my car and decided to take the item and receipt and go to a different autozone store. I walk to my car and I see "Aron" following me to my car and took pictures of me and my car and license plate". The way he handled this situation and humiliated in front of the customers and the time he made waste was not acceptable for me or any other person. I ended up going to another autozone store and told them what happened, they were so kind and professional and apologized to me and returned the item within seconds. I then decided to go to "oreally". The time I spent writing this long review shows how much this situation had gotten to me and how disrespected and humiliated by this UNPROFESSIONAL SO CALLED MANAGER "ARON DELGADO". No one should go through something like this. I hope the corporate and as many people as possible can see my review and understand how terrible this manager dealt with this matter. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO AUTOZONE! read more

I've been here about three times and usually it's to get windshield wash, fuel injector and my first time here was to get a sun visor. I bought it and immediately returned it because it ripped. Quality of sun visors have definitely gone down while the price has gone up. The staff behind the register are usually like a hit or miss. On my recent visit I bought my windshield washer, paid in cash but the gentleman who rang me up was a young fellow that continued to cross talk to the other gentleman and a different register about their cars and how they wanted this and that and it took him forever to give me back my 64 cents change because he was too busy yapping. I found that a tad rude and disrespectful because as a paying customer who gave cash there was no need to delay my change as he could've easily counted the money but instead he was distracted trying to hold a conversation and exchange phone numbers with another customer. If that was the case he should've handled his business with that other person first and then came to me when he was ready. Leave it up to the young fellows to lead in this manner while the more seasoned people know that when you come in most of the time if you don't need help from them on the floor or getting a part in the back, then you just want to get your stuff and go. Nevertheless it's a newer store and it's very clean inside. They have ample parking. Like I said I don't really buy much for them but I have come in to this location before but the only issue I had was that sun visor that I took back and I like to buy my B 12 fuel injector and windshield wash. read more

Great service, Aaron and Daniel explained how to use the tool to check it, then explained the parts I needed and what they do in the car. Turns out I had replaced the part a fees years ago and was still under warranty! If those two hadnt helped I would have been out a few hundred dollars, going somewhere else. Only bad thing was there was a bit of a wait, its smaller then most stores, but that gives it a real personal feel. Next payday I'll be going back for a battery! read more

We get a lot of parts at autozone. However the last 2 times we've tried to return a warrantied item, mysteriously it had disappeared from their computer system. And this occurs ONLY at this Autozone.! The one on E. Main across from the .99 cent store. Today was no exception. The manager was an ass and treated us poorly. Said he could not find the item in question on our history therefore would not exchange it under warranty so we had to pay for a new alternator. Frustrated and angry we came home and found the receipt to prove we had only purchased it a month earlier. There is something shady going on at this location. Fraudulent if you ask me. And to have a manager be such an ass to a frequent customer is unforgivable. Though we don't know his name for sure (Gary)? His cashier # on the receipt is #52. Probably won't ever go there again. This store definitely deserves a 0 star! The most terrible service I've ever experience. Car had died on the freeway & got it towed to the nearest AutoZone to where it broke down at around 11pm. The next day we went back to the vehicle & wanted to diagnose the car to fix it. First off my window got smashed from leaving it there over night. Okay, excepted it! It was a bad area. We asked the worker if they had a alternator specifically for my vehicle which the AAA tower had mentioned it may be. This location declined to help diagnose my car to actually figure out the problem. They sent us to the AutoZone Lakeside location to buy the alternator. Once we went to the Lakeside location they mentioned that the whole time this location had the alternator in stock?! Not cool!! The workers in this location are lazy, rude & not knowledgeable in their skills. BRING YOUR SERVICE TO THE LAKESIDE LOCATION! The staff are great, helpful & friendly! read more

Always have a great experience here. Very friendly customer service and a great selection. Small chance you'll have to go to a bigger store for some various items but I've been very surprised at what they had in stock for the various vehicles I've worked on. If they don't have an item they can usually get it within a day. My go to location. read more

I bought a pair of struts from this location and went to pick it up a week later, and the the rep tells me that one of the struts is there and the they've canceled the other one. Strange, because i've already paid for the item. They went ahead and canceled the other piece without notifying me until i walk up to the counter in the store. Even stranger, since i used my debit card for the purchase, i had to wait for 2-5 business days to get refunded. My first incident with the store was when i placed an order via the phone and instructed to pick up the item in three days, but when i got there, they didn't have any record of the order. Won't recommend this store. Learn from my mistake or experience it yourself. read more
