On 08/17/2022, I had a good experience with one of the quickest oil changes I've had here in the past 4 yrs. I was in and out in about an hr and 10min. I arrived on Wednesday at 1230pm and it was the perfect time. The tech was Ryan Shaw and he did everything as expected. Thank you Ryan!!!! When at the counter I was greeted by John who took all my info. Thank you John and to all the staffs at the counter. On that day (8/17/2022) everyone there was friendly and actually spoke. That was a nice treat because at times when they are soooo swamped that the verbal customer service is bare minimum, but that day it was standard. If anything was above standard I'd give that shout out to the tech Ryan Shaw for efficient service to my car. There was no stalling; he got to work and did what was needed, timely. read more

I came in with a 2023 Kia Forte. I had just hit over 7500 miles so my car was telling me it needed service. Once arriving everyone there was so helpful in showing me where to go and the front desk was very genuine. This may be on me or the dealership, but I was originally told that my maintenance for this specific thing was going to be covered. Finding out it wasn't I was a little upset only because I could not afford what was being asked. Instead of letting me leave, the boss/supervisor came out and was able to talk to me and I explained the situation. He then proceeded to explain that he would not feel comfortable with me out on the road and would take a look and get it squared away for me. My family has always chosen Ford and trusted the dealerships as my family has worked at their headquarters as engineers, however I was not impressed when I went in for my oil change this time. I went in for a The Works Oil Change which includes tire rotation and inspection. The initial interaction was fine, I had prepped the car by clearing out the trunk, pulling out the wheel lock, and bringing in the keys. After checking in as a walk-in, I requested as an addition to the works oil change for them to check all the tires and inflate the spare tire as well, and at the end if they could run it through the car wash. After waiting for a bit (no worries, I arrived during their lunch break and I brought work to do and they have wifi) they informed me there was an additional $8 charge for drain plug as it was torn and would leak oil. Fair assessment, no problem. After a few more minutes, when I am 2 minutes from hopping on a work call (headset on and logged on to the computer and wifi), I am handed an itemized invoice totaling about $1000. The "concerns" included replacing the air filter, both rear rotors and brake pads, and the front engine mount. After a phone call with the engineer in my family, I had to request the Vehicle Inspection Report where everything is ranked with a green, yellow, or red check based on if attention is required (see attached photo). All of the items had green check marks except for the air filter and cabin filter (only one of which was on the itemized invoice and I can easily replace at home). The brake pads that needed to be replaced were even green and measured well above the 6 mm for a good brake pad (as advertised in their waiting room - see attached photo). Ultimately, I accepted the drain plug replacement and the works oil change I initially came in for and declined all additional services. I then signed off that I had "declined the additional recommendations for my car". I cannot say I plan to go back to this Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center. read more

The manager at Quick Lane; David, has zero customer service nor does he have integrity! Went their Monday because our tire looked like it had a defect. For a moment I thought he was going to take care of us replacing our brand new tire. He walked up to the girl at the registered and told her to put a ticket it for our tire as a defect. We noticed the girl was too busy on her cell phone. When we were leaving we asked her if she placed the order for our tire, she said no, David was going to handle it and call us later. We waited until the next day to call David to get status, he was too busy and would call us back. We called the next day and was told he was too busy and a guy took our number and said he would call us by the end of the day. It's Saturday still no call back! I will now have to go and try another Ford since we bought a maintenance package for our Bronco, and we can only hope they have management there that takes care of their customers, stands by their word and has integrity! read more

Took my Ford Escape that I bought at El Cajon Ford in August here for the 5,000 mile service. Walked in at 9am with no appointment, and even though they were busy, I was outta there in under an hour. The customer service desk was great, and Dylan the Service Tech did a fantastic job checking and working on my car and explaining the 3 page report. And it cost me zero dollars because it's covered by the purchase warranty. Bring any car you have here for fast, thorough, qualified service...and ask for Dylan to do the work. I have a newer car so I generally don't need it serviced other than a oil change. I purchased my car from El Cajon Ford so I only get it serviced here. I will not take my car to a quickly oil change place. There oil change service is impeccable. I know my car is being worked on by a qualified service technician. Only gripe I have is after my car is serviced and I see my car being returned to the parking lot and the service technician hands my keys over to the cashier the cashier is busy texting somebody for 10 mnutes instead of calling my name to settle the bill. Still will bring my car here. -1 for the customer service. read more

So I came here for an oil change, hoping to pay $60. They called me 2 hours later invoicing me for $1200! They said that I need the oil pan to be replaced because THEY cross threaded the oil pan plug. And if I don't pay these $1200, I need to tow my car out immediately. I was shocked. I called towing company and moved the car to a mechanic I knew. And they still charged me for the oil change! (minus $15 for the oil itself). Ford El Cajon is just a scam! By the way, my mechanic put a helicoil in the thread and charged only $60 (much better than $1200, right?). Needless to say, I was really mad. Just look for a place with better mechanics and service. I bet buying a new car here is not a great idea either if they let themselves acting like this. read more

After yesterday's experience and the poor service we recieved from Nicholas S at quick lane, we will never come back here. You would think if you were making an almost $700 purchase for an oil change/tune up and new tires that we would have been treated better! Trash. Quote was $360, for the quoted work the final charge was $440, I did not add any additional work to the original work to be done at any point. The excuse was tax. Told them that made no sense so they gave me a "deal" by knocking off $50 of the $440, which was still more than the quote. Do yourself a favor and do easy maintenance on your own if you can. At the very least go to a real shop. read more

Nick is very helpful. He gets 4 from me. However, Joel is a complete shyster and deserves NEGATIVE stars. Every time I have been to El Cajon Ford for service which is now Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center for service Joel has sold vehicle batteries to unsuspecting victims claiming there is no way to know how much battery life is left in the vehicle which is complete B.S. because the battery reader generates a number. If the battery falls below a certain number then you generally need to have it replaced. However, Joel would tell people he didn't know what the number was and recommend having it replaced "because you never know when" it will die. I saw him do this to 3 people in a row when I was waiting for an oil change to get done. I saw him do the same thing again when I brought the same vehicle in for service. I will NEVER use this facility again until Joel no longer works there. read more

Took my car in for a oil change was told the wait time would be about 2 hours but shouldn't take that long. I waited there for 2 and 1/2 hours and my car never saw the mechanic! As the 3rd hour approached I decide to go someplace else. Went down the street my car was in and out in 20 minutes!!!! Shame on you El Cajon Ford Tony would be so disappointed. I'm rating this place on customer service and the longevity of the wait. All I need is an oil change, I've already waited over their quote time of an hour, and I'm the only person left in the waiting room from an hour ago. Customer service is horrible! The lady up front said that the person suppose to help me is on break and she can't help. Then I see her picking her face and putting her food away from break. Other people are now waiting too. Then an older gentleman comes behind the counter and another customer asks about the status of his vehicle and the older gentleman says he can't help because he's new, then precedes to watch the tv displayed in the waiting room. The only lady working comes back from break and is doing everything she possibly can, but its an un needed wait for as many people that are working. Lies on the wait time are told to keep you here but you stay longer. I will never come back here again. If you have time to wait about three hours for an oil change, go for it. read more
