The waffle fries are a savory and salty time in my mouth. The chick fil a sauce to complement it is even better. All of the food here is clean, delicious, and well made. The employees are next level. Promote them all to corporate level jobs. All of these fake 1 star reviews are just haters. I have been coming here for 50++ years and I can full-heartedly say that this is a top notch 5 star Michelin establishment. The atmosphere is welcoming, family friendly, and fast paced. All of the tables are well cleaned and they even have a fancy trashcan. Overall, this has to be my favorite place in the world. I would like to thank all of the employees that have served me and have left me with many memorable times. It's odd being in this location. You can tell they did a remodel with the intention of creating a flow in here, but that completely backfired. It was evident that they intended for people to enter what was probably the front door at one point and make your way up to the counter for ordering. Having an aisle there and all and the Mobile Order pick up station initially put there. But it didn't work. When you have a parking lot by the side door people funnel in that way. Having minimum parking out front an it right up next to the drive thru lane kind of negated that entrance. So much so that they ended up getting shelves for Mobil Orders at the side door. While I was scoping out the place, my food arrived. I honestly thought they were going to shout my name when it was ready. But they brought it right to my table. Last night I was going to fix it for dinner when I opened it the ham has a very thick slimy and gooey. It had a nicked sticker on it so I thought they would take it back without a receipt, it was under $7. So I went in and spoke with the manager told him about it first thing he asked for is a receipt, no I don't but it has your pricing sticker you can see I purchased it here. He wouldn't even look at it just wanted a receipt, said he could look it up if I used a charge card. I shop here a few times a week, I hardly ever purchase meat ahead of time to use later except for bacon I get 5lbs at a time and meat like the packaged ham steaks or whole yams that have a longer use by date for planned ahead meals , I stop in pickup what ever meat I'm fixing for dinner that night. This is the second time since this store has opened up that a meat I purchased from here had an issue with it and this was the first time I was asked for a receipt. I've been shopping at a Nicks since I was a kid my grandmother use to take me to the one in Clinton once a week, then when I started working I would stop in Nicks of Clinton to get a sub for lunch. It was really nice when the one opened in St-Charles off of Rt 5 and Mattawoman-Beantown Rd. I started purchasing meat for my own family and then this one opened in Calvert made it even more convenient to shop at. I guess I'll have to learn to take a picture of my receipt from here in case this happens again or I can just continue to be a loyal shopper here and just take the loss and move on. I'm not going to stop shopping here since this is only the 2nd time getting a bad product for as long as I've been a shopping at a Nick's.
