Love, love, love this place! I enjoyed a delicious New Year's Day brunch with my husband and a close friend. The menu offered a lot of variety and prices were reasonable. We ordered the Irene Sandwich, Crab Soup, gyro, steak fries, Cranberry-Brie grilled sandwich and fried green tomatoes. All of it was scrumptious! Services was good, but a bit slow. They were, however, very busy. We decided to split a muffin as a dessert. They list that order in the busy shuffle, and when we finally got it, it was...overly sweet and a little dry. I have only had a lunch here that was not buffet style so can't really give an opinion on the dinner or breakfast menu. I love the staff here and the owner is very nice. My meal was delicious and the the portion was huge. My husbands meal was just as good and huge as mine. The best part of the restaurant is their service to our hero's community. They have veterans eat free breakfasts on Tuesday mornings I believe and my dad and husband are huge fans. I am not sure of all the requirements or who all qualifies but I do know it is such a blessing to have this restaurant in our community. read more

This is a standard but newer brunch place. The inside reminds me of Joanna and Chip Gaines design style. I get really picky on new places who don't have a little modern interior design when built. This has it so that's nice. Not that dated look. If I had to be picky. There isn't any natural lighting. That's fine but lifting inside has to be good. It looks like they put the ceiling pot lights in without thought to table placement, so it was dinner mood lighting rather than breakfast brunch mood lighting. The pot lights weren't over the tables but they were perpendicular. But really, the real reason we are here is because of the food, which is great. I've been here twice. The first time was an omelet but this time I had the brisket smash burger. Super good. Highly recommended. Mine had double patties, I didn't realize. I ate the whole thing. Service: This is a grab a menu then go up and order. It isn't table service. They do run your food to the table though. They are very friendly. Food: Really good. This was a really great find for me. It was packed on Tuesday at 10am and I came to find out veterans eat free every Tuesday! I had a sausage, mushroom and Swiss omelet with tater tot's and rye toast. All very good. You order at the counter and find your seat. It was super busy so I chose to sit at the counter since I was alone and had nice chats with the servers. Everyone was friendly and helpful! I don't know when I'll be back in Prince Frederick but if I am I would definitely come back! read more

The staff is friendly and courteous. While the menu is limited, that lets them focus on the few things they do have. This was such a cute local spot that I got to visit on a staycation with a group of friends! They were very accommodating to seating us especially since it's a place where you come in and pick where you want to sit. The staff was friendly and the owner came up and talked with us for a little about him and his wife owning the restaurant. We came in for brunch and all ordered a couple different things. I specifically ordered the chicken and waffles. My chicken was slightly over cooked and chewy and the meat was grey :( The waffle however was nice and fluffy and good amount of sweetness. Now the star of the show had to be the hot chocolate! So creamy and loved the hometown touch of putting it in different styles of mugs. read more

This is a cute little cafe hidden in a strip mall. I ordered the BLT fried green tomato and it was so delicious! The loaded potato salad was the best potato salad I've ever had! It had chucks of potato and was seasoned perfectly. I will definitely return here for lunch when I can. I also liked that they had a variety of soda options, not limited to coke or Pepsi. I ordered my meal for take out and I was pleased about the short time I had to wait (about 10-15 min.). We decided to check out Bulrushes again for lunch. We had tried it when they first opened and were not impressed. This time I ordered the Sassafras burger with steak fries as my side-it was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. My husband ordered the chicken salad on rye with a side of potato salad. He said the sandwich was very good but didn't realize that the potato salad was loaded potato salad. It had cheese, bacon and green onion-he really didn't care for it. read more

I've been a handful of times. The food was always delicious. The first couple of times prices were on the menu. The last two times, no prices (maybe this has changed since I was last in there). I asked if there was a menu with prices and was told the prices change too often to have them listed, but I could just ask. I decided not to stick around for that meal. We are fortunate to be able to eat out once a week, but we consider it a treat and still try to be mindful of how much we spend. To me, not having prices just screams "we care more about making as much money as possible than posting prices for our customers". I understand some items at other restaurants will be listed as "market price", but that's understandable when high end seafood prices fluctuate on a daily basis. It just doesn't make much sense to me for a small breakfast/lunch spot to have to change prices so frequently that they can't list prices on their menu. Most restaurants don't seem to struggle with being able to make a profit despite any fluctuating ingredient cost. Overall, this business choice didn't sit well with me and I think it may be helpful for any like minded people. I understand that costs are increasing for everyone, but that would seem to be a good reason to still post prices on menus so customers can make informed choices without having to ask for prices for every dish they're considering ordering. read more

Came in for a quick lunch. It was packed (to their COVID safe capacity)! Hubby had the fried green tomatoes sandwich (their take on a blt) with the loaded potato salad. He liked them both. I had the Monte Cristo with a side of their broccoli slaw. YUMMY! The Monte Cristo wasn't deep fried, but more like French toast sandwich. Slaw was sweet and reminded me of an Amish broc slaw. I love this place. Eat here atleast once a week. Breakfast is always awesome but yesterday I had the breakfast special (the brisket bomb). They smoked the brisket themselves and it was fantastic. I would order again. I also like the gyro, and the Cuban sliders were awesome yesterday. My office staff all love the muffins. If you go on Tuesday and Fridays they have Gluten Free muffins. We orders the Denver Omelet with potatoes and onions, Sausage and Gravy and biscuits and a Belgium Waffle. The potatoes and onions tastes just as it is...no seasoning at all, was very bland. To my disappointment, the sausage gravy was bland and the biscuit tasted like sweetened bread! It broke down too easily with the gravy and changed the gravy to a sweeter traste. It definitely was not the southern staple one would expect when eating sausage gravy and biscuits The Belgian waffle was good but dense, definitely would have been great with fried chicken! This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Located in the space of a former Mexican restaurant that I really liked and was sad to see go out of business. The decor is certainly different and the booths have been removed to make way for some four top tables. It's not a large restaurant in this strip Mall store front, but you should be able to find a seat unless it's a weekend brunch after the local church empties out. The menu is not extensive but it is interesting. You order at the counter and then find a seat and they will bring you your meal. I really wanted to try the lamb burger which I had seen on their internet menu but it was unavailable. So I went with the stuffed ham sandwich because you can't always get this Maryland delicacy. The sandwich was grilled on wheat bread and came with an order of fries. I really enjoyed it and our party of four were all happy with their food. Service was pretty rapid and friendly. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant to include the restrooms, is very clean. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

I love eggs benedict, but was disappointed, the eggs were poached but hard poached. The Bernese sauce was the real deal with tarragon but the eggs were over cooked. Let's start with the cinnamon roll...it was huge. The taste was excellent, not to sweet. I literally only ate about 5 bites and then stopped myself so I didn't over eat. I'll be snacking on that for the next day. I also got the egg and cheese biscuit. Very large in size. The biscuit was phenomenal! I could just eat that. Again due to size I only ate about half. It's been a little over a 2 months since my first trip and they open, I'm sad to see the service is still not any better. You stand in line to place your order and order your drinks. They say they will bring them out but then get busy taking other orders, answering the phone and handling pick up orders. The food is good, the wait to get the food is long, everything is cooked to order. It would not be bad but give us a drink. We got our food but try to get a drink refill or a to go box is not happening. It was not busy at all and I know why. read more
