I placed an order for a Venti Chai Latte through DoorDash for a total of $16.95. Unfortunately, the drink arrived with almost no chai flavor, and the whole milk tasted sour and was diluted. Because I work on a locked inpatient unit, I am not permitted to leave my workplace to request a replacement, and security had to bring the delivery up to me. I requested compensation for the drink only, and they refused, sending me to DOOR DASH, who refused because I did not take a picture of the tainted item. I've been here twice. Both in the am before big morning rushes. First visit things went flawlessly. Perfect coffee, perfect snack and perfect service. Second visit was a train wreck. I order a venti coffee and I was politely informed they are out of the sweetened syrup, I figure no problem, I can work with the sugar free today. Then I begin looking in the snack section and no coffee cake. No coffee cake at a coffee shop at 6:30 in the morning. What's next, no chicken at Chik-fil-A? So they make "my" drink and put it on the counter. I do a double take and then look behind me to see if someone else might be claiming that cup because Grande certainly isn't Venti. Strike three... I ask what I was charged for and he said Grande and would be able to fix it, but it was already too late. I'm willing to give them another try because of the first visit. I have been coming to this Starbucks occasionally to moderately often in the past 4.5 years, mainly because it is near my workplace. They seem to know their people very well that come here often. They are usually friendly, but the tall dude who has been there forever rarely cracks a smile. Let's talk about coffee. It's pretty standard. I don't find the cappuccinos or flat whites to be particularly extraordinary. But I don't blame this location. I blame the community for ordering the most mundane drinks like PSLs and frappuccinos. This coffeehouse has been conditioned to making the same stuff in bulk, with a lack of variation and focus on other mainstays. If you do want something more sophisticated, there is a likelihood that it will be made well, but don't bet on it every time. Now, let's talk about service. Service is generally good. Over the past few years, the efficiency has dropped. This could be mainly due to workflow changes (such as online orders which tend to distract flow), but I think it's also a change in staff. Previous staff have been very efficient, but also strategic in using the LEAN process to maintain a flow. What this really means is that the staff is superb, but don't try to come here right before work to grab an espresso drink without an online order. Random thoughts/points: - In the morning before work, people drive like crazy around this location and park wherever they want - including law enforcement. Beware the traffic in the lot. - Pike place is served in the afternoon - no other roasts - No extra food options other than bakery items -- but a lot of novelty foods available - especially if you like Siggi's vanilla yogurt. Generally, I do like this location because it is close to my workplace and has a small-town feel where the people may get to know your name. It's worth a try, if you're in the area. read more

This is the second time i have purchased coffee from this location and had a horrible experience . My coffee taste terrible and poorly made. This is disappointing since this is the main Starbucks in Prince Frederick . The staff are not friendly at all which is unusual for Starbucks . I am hoping that the managers would pay attention to these reviews and improve the services rendered to this location. Comparing this store to the Lusby one really emphasizes how good this one is! The employees are fast and friendly. The store is clean and although it's kind of poorly organized (lines longer than a couple people get complicated), the experience is consistently pleasant. We usually go on a weekend morning and never have to wait long. Drinks are always correct (although I saw another customer get an incorrect one...his drink was too large!). Coffee is good quality, like Starbucks usually is. If you have the choice between this location and Lusby, go here. read more

So normally this Starbucks has decent service. These last few times I've been however, haven't been pleasant. There is one gentleman there that always looks bothered when he needs to take an order but the one gentleman today takes the cake for being the ultimate jerk. I did a large mobile order this morning. Walked in to pick it up and there are three other people waiting for this 'barista' to turn around and acknowledge all of us waiting to grab our orders. When he finally turns around, all he could say was 'yes?' With a bothered expression. He works his way through the others and when I walk up to counter he hands me my order and I politely asked for some cream cheese for the bagels I ordered since the app didn't let me add them on as an option. He sighs and as he walks over to the fridge and he says all loud and in a rude fashion, 'Typically we charge for these.' All snotty like, with a lobby full of people. I was slightly embarrassed cause bro, I'm not trying to get away with not paying for some cream cheese so I replied that I would pay for them and he didn't respond and only handed them to me. I said again, I will pay for them! It's not a big deal. He turns his back to me and mumbles no it's fine all snotty like again..poor customer service. Terrible. Take that guy away from greeting customers and taking orders. Put more friendly people at the front please, especially someone who will not treat customers like they are trying to get free stuff! I stopped at 7pm on a Friday night while I waited for my kids to get done with an event. I was excited to sit and read and enjoy a coffee. As soon as I walked in I knew I wouldn't be staying. They looked like they were shutting the place down even though it was still two hours until close. There was trash littered all over the floor like it hadn't been swept in days. Bags of garbage, waiting to be taken out, were piled at the front door. The pastry display case was completely emptied out. There isn't much else to do in this area on a Friday night - you would think they would be a little more receptive to people coming in during the evening. The entire store isn't very welcoming anyway. First it's hard to find. They have a sign on the front of the building facing the main road, but you can access the building from that road. You have to come around back to a service road where there are NO signs to indicate were it is. Then the seating is odd and limited. There are about six seats at the "bar" directly behind the espresso machine. The only other place to sit is a few small tables with straight back chairs right along the main walkway. It is not all all a relaxing atmosphere. I ended up sitting in my car in the parking lot wishing I had gone some place else. read more

This place shouldn't have the Starbucks name on it. I live in Prince Frederick and I've gone there more times than I can count. It wasn't an issue until this past year. I am writing this on day three of being snowbound in Southern Maryland and boy do I miss my daily Starbucks fix at the Prince Frederick location next to Pizza Hut. They start my drink when they see me in the parking lot OR if there is a line, they start my (listen to this moutful) non fat, exta hot, decaf cafe latte without waiting for me to get to the cashier so I can stay on the run for my Southern Maryland Real Estate appointments. Hi everyone, i had to share this cause I never had been treated so disrespectfully at any place before, this Starbucks stand was so far the worst idea me and the kids have had, we went there cause they really wanted a frappuccino, and so we order 2 of them and ice coffee and a hot chocolate for all of us, wen we reavive them, the frappuccinos where so watery they truly tasted horribly, the hut chocolate didn't taste like chocolate, more like hut milk and in general it was all a big mess so the kids went to tell the lady what happened and she went crazy on them, screaming, pissed cause we dare to say something about the crappy drinks she made she stared telling me that she will give me back my money witch I would have gladly taken if it wasn't cause the manager came over to se that instead we get ours drinks remake, at the end of all this we did got our drinks remake but the lady thru it to the kids aggressively and yell at me wen I confronted her for it, I will just tell you to save you're money and go somewhere else, this woman is the worst waist of time and space in life and you do not deserve to deal with this kind of lowlife people, to be honest I hope i never get to se her horrible site in my life.... read more

Normally really quick, but sometimes if they're busy, there is a short wait - but great coffee isn't instantaneous, and it's never a long wait. Their travel mugs are some of the best I've ever used, and if you drink coffee like I do, it pays for itself (Caution: They keep your hot drinks hot for quite a long time). read more

I stop in almost every morning. Typically I use my app to order before I leave the house so it's ready and waiting when I get there. Every once and a while there are issues with the app saying an item is available or not available when it's really the opposite in-store. However, I'm sure it's impossible for it to always sync correctly because I believe they manually turn the food availability on/off when they are running low or close to it. There is a new member on the team who isn't always the most welcoming, but that could be because they're still learning the ropes and aren't 100% comfortable working the register. read more

Only issue I have is that this place closes at 9:00pm and even earlier on Sundays. I would prefer if they closed at 11:00 like some others I've been to. Other than that they give free samples to customers. It is small but is great for studying. read more
