I have been to fire wings around 3 or 4 times now, and it's been a quality experience every single time. Like clockwork, I assess the draft beer situation and make my selection from the 12+ beers on draft. I then immerse myself in a big ahh pile of their garlic noodles and shovel their boneless wings into my face. Side note, excellent sauces, far superior to any of the major chains (dont make me say names bc you know who the big national chicken slingers are these days cmon now). Favorite place to pick up wings. I've been there twice now. The 3 flavors I consistently get is the Cali, buffalo and Thai chili. Thai chili easily the best though. Probably the best flavor I've ever tasted on a wing. They've been cooked to perfection each time (not soggy, not dry, and had crisp to them). I always get the Peking and dragon flavors. I've tried the Keanu butter before at the Berkeley and Alameda locations. They're not bad; very verrrrry subtle taste but not my flavor profile. The only downside to this location, is that you have to order online. They even have a message prompt saying that due to COVID, they're unable to answer the phone. Like what? That makes 0 sense to me but whatever. I orders via Grubhub, and the food was finished maybe within...20min? By far one of the worst Fire Wings location I have gone to. And I actually LOVE fire wings. I made an online order this afternoon and apparently it goes through DoorDash. I wasn't notified that my order was ready until after I picked it up. I arrived after a difficult time looking for parking at 2nd&Pch...they just handed me my order since it was paid for. But I was trying to rush through trying to make sure everything was there. I also had to ask for utensils. Once I got home I noticed my garlic fries were missing. This was really upsetting. I called the location right away and asked to speak to their manager. Lack of professionalism, he answered the phone puzzled and did not even introduce himself. I made him aware of my order. He came at me weird and responded "That's funny, I actually made the order..." Um okay dude but did you pack it?? Clearly not. Not sure why I would make this up. He asked me to inconveniently drive back for an order of fries and I said no. He said he was unable to refund me since it was a part of an order. He decides to give me a $10 store credit and wasn't really clear on what I needed to do to redeem this. It was just an awkward conversation and it seemed like he didn't know how to handle this situation. Lastly, these wings were SO dry..it was just nothing like the fire wing experiences I've had previously at other locations. Even the garlic noodles lacked flavor. tonight i came in at 10:30 after a hard workout famished and ready to eat a chicken sandwich. knowing that the establishment closes at 11, i was fully expecting a little bit of attitude because they did close in 30 minutes. instead, i was fully turned down by savannah right as i walked into the doors. she immediately asked if i was picking up an order and when i told her no she had said that they stopped taking orders. i was very disappointed with this customer service especially because i myself work in the service industry as well so i understand how annoying it is when customers come in last minute, but i still always welcome them in with a warm smile, willing to help them out. if this is a store policy (which i highly doubt) they should post on their hours that they take last call at 10:30. hopefully management sees this review and enforces some change so other guests aren't as let down as i was. read more
