I'm disappointed with the food. I mean the restaurant had a lot of potential and could still be better but the flavors are mediocre at best. "Fire Wings" they could have introduced new hot flavors but they chose to do fusion with honey and sweet in everything. The chicken was super dry and the overall wings were trash. The service was alright, the cashier didn't even know how to describe what the flavor tasted like. I tried the Korean kick (why so sweet?), Thai chili (tasted like chemicals) and salt and pepper (bland). The garlic fries tasted good but they were super oily. The veggie sticks were so gigantic, can we cut those into pieces which are bite size? The sauces on the side were that great either. Ranch specially was meh. I'll never go back to this location ever again. We've gone to the Downey location a few times and though they're always busy, we've never had any issues. While out and about, we decided to order to-go from this location at 2nd & PCH, and boy, was that a mistake. I paid extra for all flats, and requested all my wings be extra wet. I got all flats, but they were fried to hell. I'm talking meat dried out like jerky with a bone in it. I didn't even ask for them to be fried hard. They were also dry as hell on the outside, with no sign of the "extra wet" that I paid for with each flavor. At least if they had extra sauce, it could've softened the dried out texture. 75% of my order was inedible, and I have absolutely no recourse other than yelp. The phone number doesn't actually connect to a live person, and my customer service inquiry has gone ignored for weeks now. I guess it's back to Love Baked Wings for me! read more

Came in after realizing the store opened after 2-3 years in construction. The workers were so nice! They gave us samples with chicken and the various sauces. We even got free coupons. We finally got around to trying the new place on 2nd and PCH called "Fire Wings" Have to say, not impressive. Marcis sandwich was so impossible to chew through she couldn't finish. The whole thing couldn't be pulled apart and the really weird thing was the meat was the thigh or ( dark meat) which I have never had on a fried hot chicken sandwich. I thought Marci was being picky, but I tried to chew through the chicken myself and couldn't bite through it.. Needless to say most of that went in the garbage. I spoke to the staff about it, but they didn't offer to do anything, not even come out and acknowledge what was happening. The girl running the counter didn't have any power, but she apologized, but nothing else.. 15.00 dollars down the drain .. I had straight wings. They were ok. Nothing to write home about. The original sauce is Ray's Wing sauce and Peking sauce was also something uber sweet and deeply red dyed, no doubt from a bottle as well. I really wanted this place to be good because I love the location, but it looks like it's going to be very average at best. We did make up for our dissatisfaction with a scoop of Van Leeuwen ice cream which is new to that location and superlative ice cream. If you want killer wings go to Shlap Muan on South street. I think Moms touch is also really good, but for some unknown reason they couldn't keep it going in Long Beach.. Their location in NLB was total garbage.. Traffic there is just impossible.. Love this place. Clean, good service, and most importantly delicious food. I always get the garlic Parmesan and lemon pepper (bone in) which is amazing. Their season fries are delicious. They also have really good blue cheese, which I always get as my dipping sauce. I'm here once a week and it's always a good experience. I went to order there from a friend referral. I ordered to go. They had one person working the counter - was busy and she had to hand out orders. Did not read my order back. I was in the store 20 minutes just giving my order and waited 30 minutes for pick up. I got home my wings were dry, cold, and my order was incorrect. I had to drive back to the restaurant and the manager said it was my fault that the order was wrong "because they read everything back". Did not offer to fix my order or make anything right. Had to try this place, as I love good wings. Well...... First, the floor is sticky. As in, they are using the wrong cleaning products. Second, we order wings and try to order soda. Oh no, the soda machine is broken. (wow) We ordered 20 pc wings. We got original, chipotle, and Korean. They were okay. Yah, they were okay. Not great, but okay. Except, they only gave us 19 wings. I say "did you know that we were shorted and we only got 19 wings?". He says "do you want me to make you one more wing"? No, we are on our way out. Do you do anything for customers you have shortchanged??? A coupon for next time, or anything?? No. But he did make sure he said in a kind of snotty tone of voice "Have a nice day".
