We always pass this place but never ate here. We decided to eat there tonight and had a 2 for 1 coupon . I had the tenderloin sandwich and she had the roast beef with blue cheese . Service was average but when we got the bill they only took $8 off the $11 entree . We questioned it and the fine print stated $8 max . I went there today for the fish fry. I decided to order an appetizer first. I decided on the three cheese wontons. I didn't find a lot of value in them. I would call them mediocre at best and overpriced for sure. They did taste good though. I ordered the all you can eat fish fry. The first plate came out with a decent amount of french fries, four very large pieces of fish, a buttered piece marble rye bread, 3 tartar sauces, and some very very mediocre coleslaw. The fish was good, crispy but not overdone. The prices were very basic but not bad. The tartar sauce is a little strong in flavoring. I don't mind it, but I could see some people may not like it. My waitress was very good. I got great service. When it was time for more fish, my waitress got me more. I've been places where they don't want to bring you more. Hubby and I did the drive thru Friday fish fry upon recommendation from a local Facebook foodie group. There was really not much we liked about our meal, but two stars for the fish inside of it's coating. The fish batter had no flavor, the potato pancakes were rubbery with no potato taste. Very cool place. Airplane themed. Huge cow is just hanging out outside. Plane on top of the place. Airplane seats in the lobby. Really cool stuff! The place is super busy, which is great! The food was excellent. I had the Chicken Parmesan and my husband had the Sicilian New York Sandwich, which we both loved. My chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and my husband's steak was very tender. I had the pear hard cider, yummy! My husband had the bourbon ale, which he enjoyed also. The music was fabulous. We didn't get our bread basket, but I didn't complain as I knew we'd have enough food without it. The waitress asked my husband what kind of potato he wanted and he ended up with parsley noodles. I don't post often but when I do it's for a good reason. I want to sincerely thank Final Approach for helping to make my Milwaukee trip bearable. I'm here on a 9 day stretch and this is my fourth visit. I haven't had a bad meal and most were actually really good with lots of house made items. I recommend the nightly specials, every one I had was great. I tend to sit at the bar when I'm traveling and the bar service here is better than most table service. If I have to come back to Milwaukee I will come back here. They've made me feel like family while I'm 500 miles from mine. read more

My grandma and I stopped here last Friday around 5:30. We figured where ever we went, it'd be crowded and we'd wait. Luckily, we were seated right away though the place did fill up fast. Apparently they are going to remodel soon. A little dark inside but they have remodeled once before which helped a lot. I've been here a few times and the waitstaff never seems to change. They are all very nice. Our food was really really good. I was not expecting such a good meal from this place. I had a steak sandwich that was cooked to perfection, yum! My grandma had a Reuben which she really enjoyed. The carrot cake was also Delish! My friend swears by their chicken Marsala. Overall, glad we stopped in. We'll be back. Big bar area too. read more

My husband and I had to wait for our luggage to arrive so we decided to get dinner across the street at the recommended, "Final Approach". The restaurant is a Wisconsin supper club which has a cozy airplane-theme throughout. Our waitress Tiffany greated us immediately. When they arrived they were huge portions of the best, sweet-fresh, battered, tasting fish I have had in years!! We come home every year to visit our family in Wisconsin and try different fish fries...The Final Approach nailed it! We were in fish fry heaven! Tiffany, our waitress, has worked at this establishment for 13 years. She has a pleasant, laid back personality with a pleasant sense of humor. She glides around the restaurant with calm and ease making sure that everyone is taken care of and has everything they need. We went back to The Final Approach the night before we flew out and took my husband's sister...she loved it as well. We asked for Tiffany to be our waitress again and she remembered us. GREAT SERVICE! In response to some of the negative posts...Wisconsin has passed a NON-SMOKING LAW...so cigarette smoke is no longer an issue in this establishment. The establishment is clean and well maintained. I also noticed that someone wanted healthier options...they do offer grilled fish with vegetables & rice, etc. But for us, when in Milwaukee and on vacation...we go for the good 'ol supper club fish fry! This was a place we found on the internet to have a Friday night fish fry. It's a local place that you can tell well established with the locals. Inside you can see it's been there for a while decor is old and has not changed in years. Had it wait about 30 minutes to sit, but it was busy Friday night. We got our table, service was good and took our order. Food came out in a reasonable time, and very good portion of food. Beer battered fried cod was really good along with the fries. Only complaint would be that I have is that I order a soda with dinner came in a small glass tumbler filled with ice which was finished in no time and took a while to get a refill, and change me 2.75 for it. What a great restaurant. After asking a few questions we discovered this is an ALL SCRATCH kitchen. The chef makes his own sauces, dressings, entrees, no walk in freezer full of junk. We also discovered they get fresh food deliveries daily and the walk in freezer is devoted primarily to just french fries as virtually everything else is made from scratch daily on site.
