I went in on a wing Wednesday where they have a $1 per wing special! Their wings were saucy and very well cooked. We tried their Cajun flavor and Nashville hot, both were good and had a good heat level. Their staff was great and accommodating when we requested for a different game in the baseball playoffs at the time. There was also bingo going on which was a good time as well. Overall, the ambiance was a great and I'm happy it's down the street from us to check it out again.

I have been to Magoos many times when they are packed for the Brewers games and shuttles. This is the first time I went during the day when an event wasn't happening. I had a lovely conversation with a blonde bartender, Dana. She's hilarious! I love when Magoos is busy, but also really enjoyed the slower pace of a non- game day meal.

I met some friends here to watch the St. Patrick's day parade and while I was here grab some lunch. I was really looking forward to a corned beef sandwich but when I looked at the specials for the day they were offering $12 Reuben baskets. I normally order Reubens without the dressing and light kraut if a regular corned beef sandwich is not available. I let the waitress know this is what I wanted to order along with fries. When I received my order it looked good, but when I took a bite I noticed there was quite a bit of sauerkraut. I took one of the slices of rye bread off and there wasn't light kraut on it as I requested so I just scrapped come of it off. The corned beef wasn't bad, but my only criticism is that they cut the brisket with the grain instead of against so the meat was stringy. The fries you get is plenty and was hot and crispy to where I had to let them cool off a bit. I will go back to give other items a try on their menu. My friend's boyfriend ordered the smash burger and said it was pretty good so I figure I will order that next or give the fish fry a try.

Went here on 5/9/24 @3pm I went here with a friend and had never been here before. We got here a little early and they did not open until 3pm. Great place- check them out. They are known for generous portions and I can see why. Food is reasonably priced. This establishment is simply awesome and I am already planning on going here again. Highly recomendad. My friend had a drink. I just got an ice water. We split the homemade potato chips with pulled pork - very good &came up fresh and hot. Make sure u check out the pics. If you are a Brewer fan they have 4 tvs and the bar area. But there are rv's all over. They also have pool tables if u like pool. Also- need a ride to the game, they will take care if the ride for you to and from the game right back to the establishment. I don't drink but was told the bartender did. Great job. I have a few refills in my water. Place was clean inside. Locally owned. Make sure you get out and support them. They are simply awesome.

I think I found my new favorite "hometown" bar in the city. Every single thing I ordered was so tasty. And then I saw on their menu that they are a scratch kitchen! You really can tell, the food tasted fresh. The jalapeños have to be grown by them because of how large they are. Even the pickles on the burger tasted homemade, very dilly. Our waitress was very sweet and knew before I could even ask for more lol she was on point. Plus with all of the tv screens everywhere, I'll definitely be coming for a packer game. They have games all over, darts and pool tables. It's a great place to watch a game, hang with friends, or eat amazing food. Oh and try the clam chowder, it's that taste of comfort and home you want on a cold night.

Heading to a Brewers game and wanted to get the free shuttle. I arrived about 11AM for an afternoon start and there wasn't a big crowd . Sat at the bar and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. They had a very nice sized menu, with quite a bit of interesting choices. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with fries. It came out in good time, and it filled the plate. The shrimp were huge and cooked just fine. But there's no easy way to eat this like a sandwich. Knife and fork time for certain. Asked about the routine to get the shuttle and it was easy peasy. They provide parking in a lot, and there were plenty of on street parking available in a nice neighborhood. Magoo's gets my vote.

Since I work in the area, it's nice to have this location as an option for shuttles to Brewers games again. It also helps that I can enjoy them for lunch when they open early for Brewers day games. I recently did just that and ordered both the cheese curds and bourbon BBQ chicken thighs. The curds retained more grease that I would have liked, but they were very good. The amount of batter on the curds and the amount of beer in the batter were both spot on. If you like the taste of bourbon, you'll love the bourbon BBQ. It's very pronounced in the sauce. Whether they serve chicken thighs by choice or by necessity because the cost of chicken wings is ridiculous right now, they made the right decision. I feel you get more meat by going with chunks of thighs compared to wings and I personally prefer dark meat chicken to white meat chicken.

    Parade pre-game. #cheers

Bartender was great the wings were not. Worth a try for the drinks and casual vibe. I was torn between three stars, and four stars, but added that extra star for the service.

    Fish fry

Great service fair prices. Went there for the fish fry fish was burnt but amazing the fish inside was still flaky and moist still slight burnt flavor.

As always, five star food. And also some of the nicest bartenders in the city. I wish I could buy the coleslaw by the quart.

The place is a good kind of dive bar because it looks old with lots of wood. I would have a summer shanty and a third space for my beer options which were ok on a lazy Monday. The menu isn't large but it has all the usual suspects as far as bar food goes and I would get a burger that comes with frys. I ordered the Good A Burger rare which is bacon, jalapeños and Gouda cheese just because I have not seen that combination before. The burger looked good with lots of frys. The frys were hot cooked to order and seasoned nicely. The burger was good on a fresh toasted bun and as rare as you could get with the thin patty that was somewhat juicy. The beef had a nice grill flavor that complemented the bacon nicely but the jalapeños were can/jar and not fresh. Overall I can't complain about anything because the service was good and the food was fresh and hot on a lazy Monday afternoon.

My wife and I both ordered the turkey club sandwich, one kid got a cheeseburger and one got a grilled cheese. The kids like their meals. Yay. The problem is both my wife and I had mold on the bread for our club sandwiches. The bartender was super apologetic, said our meal was free, made a point to explain that they have more bread available downstairs, then asked if there was anything else we wanted. We both said no, assuming he meant something else while we waited for our food to be remade or a different item completely. Almost half an hour passed by and I got tired of waiting for our remade food, so I flagged the bartender down. Apparently he took us saying no as we didn't want anything at all because they never bothered to start remaking our food. Our kids were already done with theirs and were getting bored, so we just left even more frustrated and hungry than necessary. I was also super embarrassed because I talk up how good their food is and this experience makes neither of us want to stop back again. Guess I'll not be ordering the turkey club for work lunches anymore either now that it's clear they don't sell enough to turn over their supply of bread before it gets moldy.

I came here to watch a game with some friends on a snowy night. It was pretty quiet when we got there around 5 but picked up as the night went on The decor...first thing in noticed is there isn't too much sports memorabilia on the walls. People have commented on that and I'm torn..the walls do look a little bare but overall its a nice clean look that eliminates that kind of junky look sports bars some times take on. TVs..lots of them! Its easy to watch a game here and the high top tables and chairs were very comfy...bar seats looked similar. We got appetizers to share at the table..fried pickles (whole picke spears!), quesadillas, and wings. The wings came eith with both blue cheese and ranch that were very good and lots of carrots and celery. All the apps were decent but wings were my favorite. They had a happy hour special (I think $2 off most drinks?) They had a decent amount of NA drinks and I had an athletic IPA and Heineken 0. Our server was the nicest girl and she got us our food super quick and accommodated all our requests. Another great perk is the parking lot in the back! North Ave can be busy for parking alot of times Final result - im a fan! Great game watching spot in east Tosa.

I asked what time the kitchen closed--got a flat "10" from the bartender. It was almost 11, so fine. Then I asked about their Bloody Mary mix. Instead of a simple answer, he launched into some condescending monologue about how they make their own, but only for the daytime crowd--when people "actually drink Bloodies." Cool, thanks for the attitude. It was clear pretty fast that this guy had no interest in being remotely welcoming. I pivoted and ordered the Lambeau Leap Mule. Turns out they were out of melon liqueur--whatever, it happens--but instead of offering literally any substitute (ever heard of schnapps?), he just dropped the other ingredients on the bar and walked away. No comment. No effort. Then, because this trainwreck wasn't done, he got into a heated scheduling argument with his younger coworker right in front of us. Completely unprofessional and incredibly awkward. I mentioned we might leave, and he scoffed. Like we were the problem. Round Two, better than the first but still mediocre at best. I am relatively certain this was a different person but the vibes were the same, think hipstery gatekeeping bartender meets bare minimum effort. Unsure if I will try again.

The space feels refreshed while still keeping that classic sports bar vibe. We were invited to a birthday party that happened to fall on the same night as a Packers playoff game, so the place was absolutely packed. Parking was scarce, and we ended up parking several blocks away. That said, the setup for the party was great--we had our own area with plenty of TVs to watch the game and reserved tables facing the front of the bar. Pizza was served for the party (we didn't try it), but it looked good--cheesy with a thin crust. We ordered a patty melt and a cheese curd burger, and both were excellent and very large portions. Service was good, especially considering how extremely busy it was. I'd definitely come back on a calmer day or night to try more of the food.
