My family and I dined in for a late lunch and there was no wait at all. We were seated in about 5 minutes after they set the table for our group of 8. Our waitress was so gracious and helpful throughout our visit. We ordered everything from alligator bites, gumbo, seafood pasta, fried catfish poboys, and more! Everything came out in a reasonable time! As a Louisianan, I was spectacle to how authentic the food would be, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food and service were great and the restaurant is full of culture, paintings, and music.

Wow-what an interesting and fabulous place and menu. We stopped by for a celebration. There is ample parking, seating, and a large space indoors. We had made reservations to make sure. Service was great, authentic food and ambiance. I had the Blackened seafood tacos and they were delicious - 3 tacos and I had enough to take home for leftovers. Recommend.

We stopped at Crawdaddy's hungry and needing to kill some time. In spite of it being 2pm , the dining room was half full. One waitress ,Terry, was on her own, but she was a pro. She gave excellent menu advice and insisted that we should have the beignets first. Great tip. They were amazing, and we would have been too full to enjoy them as one should after our meals. I chose blackened cod with asparagus and wild rice. It was fresh and so tasty. My husband's chicken and biscuits were good.

First time eating here and I was sorry that I waited so long to try it! It is a beautiful space! There are multiple dining areas, a bar and a patio. Staff were all very friendly and helpful! I ordered a small French onion soup and a French onion dip sandwich with rough cut fries. The soup was a bit thicker than what I have had before, but it was very good. The cheese was melted very nicely over the top and browned up as well. The French onion dip sandwich was incredible. Best one I have ever had! Many times when I have had it at other restaurants, it has been where the bread and/or meat have been on the dry side. Their sandwich the bread was soft and the meat was tender and moist. Excellent! I couldn't help but notice the dishes being delivered to the tables around me and everything looked incredible! Looking forward to trying other dishes and the fried chicken on Monday nights! Highly recommend this place!

    Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee!!! Yessss

My husband and I ended up here on a random week night because I googled crème brûlée near me and I'm so glad we did!! We sat at the bar just for dessert and cocktails. We were greeted right away by the bartender and put in our order. It came out quickly and was warmed perfectly! 10/10 The bartender overheard us talking about how it was my birthday with another guest at the bar and without saying anything she brought me a birthday dessert plate with a candle and really blew me away with her customer service!! We will absolutely be back to experience a full dinner service another time! Such a happy accidental pop in! very cute New Orleans vibes inside!

Met a gf here for drinks and gossip and of course food! Our server was so awesome! She made it even better, if that's possible. The whole place makes you feel like you're in Nawlins! I had the mahi tacos, we shared the boudin balls, and she got the catfish po boy. We both also got the crab and corn bisque to go for lunch at work the next day. Everything was SO delicious. I can't wait to come back. My stomach ate before my phone, sorry y'all! You won't regret coming here.

Frog legs. Fascinating; taste like chicken.

Date of visit: 11/29/23 My only experience with Crawdaddy's was an event they did many years ago downtown where you could sample a variety of things from a number of establishments; I recall their white chicken chili being fantastic, so I was excited to try their new location on Greenfield, which wasn't all too far from work. This was my first experience with frog legs and I wouldn't call them my favorite thing on the menu, they weren't bad and I was glad to have had the opportunity to try them, especially being of French heritage myself. My Croque Madame was just okay; nothing amazing but also not terrible, either. I've had better and I have certainly had worse. The star of the show was really the beignets, warm and oh so sugary! Our server, Terri, was friendly and focused. Almost too focused; if you wanted her attention you practically had to throw a plate at her to get her attention! I can appreciate that level of commitment though it made the meal last a bit longer than it needed to when I was looking for a quick lunch break!

Had a great meal tonight. Our server was attentive and charming. The food was oh so good. We started with the Crawfish Rangoons--WOW! So good with a subtle heat and fantastic dipping sauce. My guy had the Blackened Cod with wild rice. It was absolutely delicious. Seasoned perfectly and moist. I had the fried chicken which comes with mashed potatoes + a tasso gravy (so good you want to drink it) and I subbed out the greens for red beans & rice. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not a dry bite in the mix. Just like grandma used to make and fantastic. Red beans & rice--on point, as always. I look forward to every visit here.

Since moving here from the South, I've been craving Southern cooking. I was searching for restaurants in the surrounding area, and this popped up, so of course, I had to stop in. My expectations were low since we are in the Midwest, and I've had authentic Southern cooking. Can I say WOW, this was incredible. I started with the crab and corn bisque (I know I should have gotten the gumbo). It was delicious! Perfect amount of crab and creamy soup goodness. I also wanted to try their crawfish Rangoons, which I've never seen before. They were delicious as well. For an entree, I had to try their fried chicken. It's half a bird and fried to perfection. I'm a sucker for some good crispy fried skin, and I would scarf it down more if I didn't eat heavily before on appetizers. The chicken came with a side of potatoes, gravy, and greens. I swapped out the greens for red beans and rice, which were also delicious. I've said delicious multiple times already, but it indeed was. I also got the beignets to go so I could eat them with powdered sugar all over my face in peace. Paired with the raspberry sauce, it was incredible. I'm glad I found a go-to place for some good Southern cooking.

Stopped here on st pattys day with my 2 daughters. We had raw oysters..oysters rockerfeller..blackened shrimp...mac and cheese..fried chicken,,,blackbed cod and grilled salmon..we also had creme brele for desert. The food was good service was decent. I had to ask for dinner rolls which i would have expected them to be offered with all the dinners we orders. The food was all pretty good...our favorites were the creme brele..oysters rockerfeller...mac and cheese and did i mention the creme brele! It was actually amazing..its had been 10plus yrs since id last been to crawdaddys..they were still in their old location! I will def go back again and try a few more things that looked good! And creme brule will be ordered everytime!

Loved our dinner here over the weekend. We stopped by for the happy hour (even on the weekends) from 4-6pm. It's not a great happy hour (BOGO 50%) but it helps when the hurricanes are $10/each. We saw the restaurant filling up so we grabbed a table. Started with the fries gator bites and loved them. Good seasoning and tastes great with or without the hot honey dipping sauce. Ordered the fried chicken and a po boy so we got some bread due to our wait for the chicken (takes about 20 minutes). We didn't mind the wait and our server, Kylie, checked in on us and refilled waters. Fun atmosphere with bourbon street vibes. Reminded us of our fun times in NOLA. The po boy was good but got messy. Be prepared with a napkin. The fried chicken was amazing - perfectly seasoned and crunchy. The gravy was a little chunky but good flavor. I liked the greens more than I thought I would - sweet and savory at the same time. Heard they also have live music so we will have to come back for that sometime. Great service, great ambiance and excellent food! Definitely recommend!!

Okay, I'm going to dish in a second. But overall - Maxie's…read moreis a super cool vibe. The colors, the well-placed low lighting, the appropriate volume of cajun music ... all done in excellent taste. The waitstaff is INCREDIBLE. They all seem to be having a great time, when it's slow, and when it's busy, which is important to see; plus, they help each other out. Waiters, bartenders, bussers, hosts, food-runners - they're often smiling and helpful to anyone. Not only did our waiter Scotty take amazing care of us (a group of 10 on a Saturday night, all arriving at different times; and he had many other tables besides us), but his teammates helped bring drinks, clear the table, and our deliver our food. Everything was timely, fresh, and as far as I know, no errors were made with drinks or food. We were all quite satisfied with our meal. The reason I give 3 stars is, for some reason I do not understand, near the end of our meal, we heard a man yelling quite loudly from the kitchen area AT OUR SERVER. The man (manager I assume) was insisting that Scotty was not attentive to us (and I can't discern a single reason why this would be claimed). Even if he noticed something we didn't -- it could have been a moment of quiet criticism, but this dude turned it into a screaming fit. And he could not have been more wrong. In fact overhearing this exchange (right around the corner, within full earshot of us and the back half of the restaurant) was the ONLY thing that soured our otherwise amazing experience. We then watched who I assume was the same guy (red-faced and angry) sit down at a table very close to us, and our server return a moment later somewhat shaken up. It was awful. We made sure to congratulate him loudly on his impeccable service after that. I don't know if the manager heard or not. But one can hope. This was not my first time here, but it was the first time I've experienced anything like this. Like I said, the team seems solid, our service is always timely and kind (and often, incredibly FUN) even when they're PACKED, the food is bangin', the oysters are fresh and delicious, and EVERYTHING is well priced & spiced! So we will be back. But we really hated seeing our waiter treated like that. For anyone who doesn't know - waiters in WI currently make $2.33/hour. This is below the federal wage rate of $7.25/hour for the same job. They survive off your tips. If they're good, they're great, and GOD BLESS THEM - they must do what they do because they love people. This manager did not seem to appreciate what he had right in front of him. But we did!!!! GO SCOTTY GOOOOO

Needless to say, it was crowded and lively, but our table was waiting for us and we were sat immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with our menu choices, which were limited due to their Madi Gras-only offerings, but also plentiful and varied. My husband decided on the jambalaya, I went with the crawfish étouffée, and we split the roasted Cajun cauliflower as an appetizer. While it's hard for this kind of stew-like, saucy, veggie/sausage/seafood over rice mixtures to present beautifully, everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The jambalaya had a little more of a kick than I prefer, but my husband loved it and my crawfish étouffée had the perfect amount of spice without being spicy. The roasted cauliflower was cooked to perfection and was the perfect way to start the meal. Not pictured is the bananas foster bread pudding that was the perfect way to end it. We both left with extra food to take home and the memory of a wonderful meal and great experience.

This was a 4-piece half chicken dinner with coleslaw, fries and Italian bread. It was a lot of food especially for the price. The chicken was juicy and the batter was nicely salty. The fries were the crinkle variety--nothing special on their own but a nice potato-ey complement to the chicken. The cole slaw was solid--a little sweet and not too mayonnaise heavy. One should not eat fried chicken every day of course, but I would definitely come back for a treat.
