Finally made it in here in a warmer month. Restaurant is cute, but we sat outside on the spacious patio. Service was ok, but food was a bit of a failure. I ordered the La Bandera and it was overly salty. Now, I don't know if this is the norm for this dish, or if the chef that night was heavy handed. The first bite seemed ok, but the more I ate, the saltier it became, it seemed. Hubs had the short rib sandwich and was not impressed. We also had the queso dip, which I liked very much, and a pitcher of margaritas, which we both enjoyed. I would try this place again, because you never know if someone is having an off night and deserves a second chance. Stopped here for brunch on a whim and were generally impressed with the great atmosphere and staff. We arrived right around 10a and were promptly seated. The dining room was colorful collection of pictures, garlands and banners which added to the cheery atmosphere. I had the fiesta burrito with chorizo. As stated, it comes smothered with their house made sauces, one green, maybe cilantro or avocado, the either a red sauce. Not listed in the description was also corn, carrot and peas. Don't be surprised when you cut into it and you see that. On the side was a coleslaw that brought some nice heat and brightness to the plate as well. Maybe the biggest surprise of the entire meal was the house coffee they served up. Today I believe it was their sauvecito. While I was surprised that they would serve such a strongly flavored house coffee, it packed a nice cocoa flavor that rounded out the meal nicely. read more

Stopped in for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning and had a pretty good time. Once the hostess saw us we were seated promptly, and our server was very attentive and friendly. The beverage selection is great if you like alcohol, and the non-alcoholic Mango Muchacho was absolutely delicious. However, I was a little disappointed that you couldn't order a specialty coffee or tea beverage from Día Café since you literally have to walk through it to get to Noche Restaurant & Bar. A missed opportunity, in my opinion. I opted for the Tres Leches Pancakes for my meal. They were alright and really just tasted like extra sugary pancakes. Nothing special. Nonetheless, I do really appreciate that they include a side of fruit with their sweeter brunch options. It freshened things up a bit. The ambiance is fine. It was pretty chilly inside the restaurant itself. The layout of Noche Restaurant & Bar and Día Café can be a little confusing since the two are connected and, like I mentioned above, you have to walk through one to get to the other. Coming from the Día side, the hostess stand was kind of hidden, and I nearly walked past it as I was trying to find someone to seat us. I made a reservation for a group of us to eat at lunch. The restaurant was very accommodating, and the waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered one of their quesadillas with a few changes, as I prefer vegetarian. They made it as I requested. . Pretty much everyone in our group really liked their food. What a fun and surprising find! Nestled near the downtown Greendale this location has ample parking a gorgeous outdoor fire pit and open doors concept weather permitting! Quite an extensive menu that was hard to decide but the shrimp taco hit the spot as did the Mexican corn, which comes in a nice fun bowl with lots of crema goodness! The atmosphere and vibe here are interesting. I will say we were seated at a booth with a poster of a Rio advertisement. It had three ladies scantily dressed with their behinds facing the camera. Fine for adults, but I would not recommend bringing your children or parents if you are seated near this picture. This restaurant is a little overpriced for the quality of food you get. I understand it is downtown Greendale, so it tends to be a bit pricier, but the portions are a little small for what they charge. The service is decent. Our server was polite. The Brazilian lemonade is good. Not too bitter or tart, but eight dollars for it is quite steep, especially since there is no alcohol. We went here on a Friday night around 4:30 and it was pretty empty. We got the chicken taco plate with rice and black beans. Pretty flavorful and well-seasoned. We also got their fish fry. The fish was tender and had a unique flavor, but the beer flavor from the batter was still very strong. The Mexican slaw was also extremely sour. My issue was when we got the check the fish fry was charged as $17. The small menu on the table said the Friday special was $16.50. Fifty cents really isn't a big deal, but I believe if you are going to advertise something, then you should honor the price by principle. All in all, I may come back to give it another shot just for the happy hour on Monday-Thursday. Other than that, I am not sure it is completely worth it. Came in for their Galentines event and it was my first time there. The vibe makes you feel like you're on vacation! They have quite the array of items on their menu, representing multiple cultures so there is plenty of opportunities to try something new! Nestled right in the heart of the sweetest little town, this restaurant is an obvious local favorite. We visit their cafe @diacoffees regularly, which is another staple. Noche has a very tropical vibe, bright colors + plants.. what's better? Their patio outside is lovely during the summer months, with the cute string lights making it feel magical. I love that they have THC derived cocktails, the Puff Puff Punch is very tasty! This drink has zero THC flavor. So refreshing + brings you to the beach. I felt great from the drink The guacamole was some of the best I've tried. Chunky, which I love. The salsa was also delicious, very fresh. The chips y'all.. the CHIPS. So perfect. I judge Mexican restaurants based on their chips and Noche passed by far. The steak fajitas were huge!! So much food for $20. Delicious steak, tender and flavored perfectly. I've been to Noche on a couple different occasions now and have enjoyed each of our visits. We've dined both inside and outside and while both are nice, if the weather is at all pleasant, their patio is especially lovely. On our recent visit, we stopped by for a late night dinner (9pm-ish) and the patio was perfect. With plenty of fire features, greenery, and flowers, it was a delightful space to enjoy our dinner and cocktails. On both visits, I ordered their pisco sour, which is solid. The food, though, is the real star of the show. On an earlier trip there, I ordered their paisa vegana, which was a beautifully hearty vegan dish with red beans, rice and avocado. It's a relatively simple dish that makes it's flavorful deliciousness all the more surprising. On my last visit, I got their ensalada fresca, which is a basic garden salad, topped with cheese, some of their incredibly flavorful pulled chicken, as well as sliced avocado. It was an ample portion and completely delicious. The service has been prompt and friendly on each of our visits as well. Oh...and be sure to save room for their tres leches cake...outta this world! It is on the pricier side so take that in mind, which is main reason for the 4. Honestly, not really a great location for the price point. The waitress was very nice. Energetic. I loved the Jerk Chicken but definitely not really $21 from a filling perspective but you can't find Jerk chicken nearby, my girlfriend got the Panameño & while looked really good & fresh, for $24 in Greendale it isn't the most filling. Don't get me wrong, the food had great flavor but I don't think I see the place having many regulars. It was 6pm on Friday night Labor Day Weekend & there were maybe 4 other tables. The place is very nice inside & has a patio, but for how big it is they have to know they are pricing themselves out of most customer's willingness to eat out. I would add that one thing I liked was they gave you water pitchers, which would have been great if they filled them when you got there. The pitcher was room temperature & when we asked for more water they just replaced it with another one sitting at an empty table that was also room temperature. Each of the 20 empty tables had a water pitcher on it. Music is also a tad too loud. I get they are targeting the Latin theme but people don't want to eat with their date or significant other not being able to hear them. We had a group of six and my friend was able to make reservations in advance. Our table was ready right when we arrived which was very appreciated (doesn't always happen with reservations!). I love that the menu is Latin American inspired. The brunch menu was loaded with delicious options. I landed on the chilaquiles but instead of toast you could get a fresh Salvadoran tortilla (such a cool touch!). Our group also got a mimosa bucket which came with a bottle of champagne and a carafe of orange juice. Perfect for a group! We actually broke a glass on accident and the staff were SO quick to clean it up and very understanding of our mishap! We thought they were incredibly kind. I have been meaning to try Noche for awhile, and I finally made it in! We didn't have reservations for a Friday night, but thankfully we were able to get in for two people without too long of a wait. I love the decor and how cozy it is. It was definitely a little louder / livelier, as you'd expect of any Latin American restaurant. We had a high school student as our waiter, and while very nice, he did accidentally bring champagne when we ordered Chardonnay, but oh well. We started with the Baja Shrimp Coctel which is actually ceviche served with tortilla chips which is a fun take on the dish. We also got the Mexican Street Corn, also served with tortilla chips, which did not disappoint. As an entree, I opted for the Chicken Mole, which was very tender bone-in chicken, but one of the sweetest mole sauces I've ever had. read more

He never once checked on us after bringing us the food. I had to practically push my dishes off the table edge because our waiter walked by SIX times without even acknowledging us after we were finished eating. The hostess noticed, and cleared our table before sending the waiter over. He brought our check and then disappeared again. I had to go up to the bar to find someone to ring us up. Just went to Noche for lunch. TLDR: the vibe is cool, the service was kind quick and correct, but the food ranges from fine to low quality resort food at a steep price. I really wanted to like Noche, and was encouraged when I walked in. The vibe was on point, the decor was fun. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and the food came quick. My husband's short rib sandwich was pretty good, but small for $17, and I'm not sure how different it tasted from a non Caribbean style short rib sandwich it was. My carne asada burrito was very disappointing. Low quality grey meat with no seasoning, unmelted supermarket Mexican blend cheese, all wrapped in a small package made for a disappointing $19 order. There's a lot of things going for Noche, but they need to get their act together on the food, because that burrito was enough to convince me not to try again. read more

Tonight we had tapas- arepas de queso, patacon pisao, empenada columbiana (all from Columbia) Dobladas from Guatemala Empanada Cubano (from Cuba- obvi). Also ordered tostones with the guacamole. All delish. Probably will change the menu before we get back- we hope not. The empanadas were both different and delish. Columbias was more corn outside and the Cuban one was what we consider more traditional with a tasty crispy breading outside. BOTH were outstanding. I finally made it to Noche yesterday, and it lived up to its reputation. Dia Cafe is open during the day for coffee and lighter items, and Noche is connected but separate and open for dinner with a focus on Caribbean and Latin American fare. I believe the menu changes monthly with dishes representing rotating countries, 3 at a time! The current menu festures Costa Rica, Bahamas, and Peru. Since I've had a lot of Peruvian food, I suggested to my friend that we focus on the other two countries, but first we ordered a drink called a Clerico, which originate from Uruguay, according to the menu. It is essentially their take on a white sangria, and we thought it was refreshing and delicious! The menu has three columns of dishes, one for each country, and each column has a selection of 3-4 Tapas and 4-6 Platillos (entrees). There is also a section for soups and sides, and a dessert section. We ordered the Crab Fritters and Calamari from the Bahamas Tapas list and the Chifrijo and Hamburguesas Costa from the Costa Rica Tapas section. The Crab Fritters were crispy and served on a small bed of salsa. The filling was creamy, but lacked any evidence of crab. My friend wished there was a little more salsa to enjoy with each bite. The Calamari was perfectly cooked and topped with truffle oil and shaved parmesan with a side of remoulade. It was a good dish that would have been great with a lighter use of the powerful truffle oil. The Chifrijo was excellent! A casserole dish with white rice, black beans, avocado, and small chunks of crispy "chicharron" which I believe were actually pork belly pieces, is served with perfectly crisp tortilla chips. We loved everything about this dish! Finally the Hamburguesas Costa are small sandwiches with choice of marinated, roasted, and shredded chicken or pork, served on a "bun" of tostones (fried green plantains), very similar to a Puerto Rican Jibarito sandwich. We loved this dish as well! We ordered tje pork and the chicken. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender and flavorful, but we gave a slight edge to the pork, which had more flavor and some pieces were crispy (think carnitas). The tostones were perfectly seasoned and had a nice crunch. This was my favorite dish of the four we ordered! I almost forgot, we ordered dessert. The Parchita, Flan, Tres Leches, and Dulce Señorita all looked great, but we chose flan, so I could compare it to orhers. This was a rum flan topped with cherry sauce and a cherry, which was a great detail to add. I didn't taste rum, and I thought the texture of the flan was too firm for flan, but the flavor was still good, and I liked the cherry sauce, which I thought was unique. I'll try Tres Leches next time, and maybe the popular Dulce Señorita, too. The service was also very good. When the hostess seated someone else and I stood looking lost, a server came to greet me and started the check-in process with me. Our server was Zach. He seemed fairly new to serving in a restaurant, but was very attentive and committed to ensuring we had a great experience. He answered questions, checked with the kitchen if he didn't know the answer, and help us make decisions on dishes based on his experience with a dish or told us which dishes were most popular with other customers. Zach gets 5 stars! So, I am definitely going back again, and I hope to work Noche into my regular rotation if they continue to execute like they did yesterday because I love the concept! A small adjustment here and there will make this a 5 star place for me. read more

A friend recommended this place so we headed there on a weeknight for dinner. Our reservation seated us inside, but since the weather was nicer than expected, it was no problem to move to the outside patio. We started with drinks - a caipirinha and the frutas con chile mocktail - both were delicious! We shared several appetizers: pinchos with pork, chicken empanadas, ceviche, and the tostada with beef. The standouts were the pinchos and the amazing sauce it comes with and the flaky empanadas. We probably could have gotten a second drink and dessert, but they weren't offered so we decided to call it a night. The food was filling anyway. Our server explained that they change up the menu every few months and explore cuisines from different countries. I'll be back to try more things for sure. read more

The old lady and I went out for some Friday night fun, and Noche was the destination! We had reservations for 5:30 PM, but we got there early. They still sat us immediately. No, we aren't old, we were just very hungry. That's why we ate so early. Please no judgement. Our waitress was incredibly kind to us right off the bat. She was a silly goose in a quirky way, and the old ball and chain and I really enjoyed her energy. She was patient with us as we explored the menu. It was like we were from another planet and had never eaten out before. We have, but we had a lot of questions, so I could see how maybe she thought we were from Mars or something. But we're not. I had the Spicy Señorita drink and I hated it. I don't like mezcal, so I don't why I ordered it. Oh well. My partner had a drink that I don't remember, but she liked it. APPETIZER TIME! We got the crab cakes and the ceviche. Holy F***ING S**T were they good!! The ceviche had a lot of fish and shrimp in there. Wasn't very limy though, which made us very sad. UH OH, NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE MAIN COURSE! I had the Vatapa, which is a shrimp stew with coconut milk and various other goodies. It was fantastic. My girl had the curried lamb, and she loved it. All in all, we had a great meal, and our relationship is still good. If it had been a bad meal, we might not be here right now. I love her and I love Noche. I don't usually leave reviews for Mexican restaurants, because I am from Arizona and my tastes are different. But this was especially bad. Two of us paid ~$11 just for salsa-over 20% of our bill. You have to buy chips and salsa here, which is OK, but - yikes - $11 for three little bowls of salsa (one was quite yummy). The irony is that you need salsa because the food is very bland. They put shellfish in the black beans, so it's a bad place for vegetarians. When I got my food and tasted how bland it was, I decided to rely on the hot salsa and a beer, but I couldn't find our server to order a beer and more hot salsa. When I wanted to leave, I had to stand up on seat and waive my arms like a cheerleader to get his attention. I realize they have to hire kids, but then at least lower the prices to match the poor service. Bad bland food, poor service, and high prices-a recipe for my not ever coming back and writing this warn people there's better (haven't found my go-to Mexican restaurant yet), but almost all I have been have more flavor and at least get you what you want-oh because other places have taught servers that they make money selling beer and more food. read more

Stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. We were looking for something different and we found it! They specialize in food from South America, Central America & the Caribbean. Sounded good to me! They were not busy and we got a table right away, which is always nice! We started with a couple of drinks, the pisco sour and the Serrano margarita. The pisco sour was just ok, but the Serrano margarita was wonderful! It had a hint of spice which I really enjoyed. Note it isn't on the menu. I asked the waitress what her favorite was and that is how I found out about it. They should really put it on the menu I my opinion. We decided to order several tapas, as I love a variety of food to try. We ordered the CROQUETAS DE POLLO, YUKA FRITA, AGUACATE REYENOS, DOMINICAN PINCHOS. Sorry for the all caps but I copied and pasted from their website as my autocorrect was giving me grief! Everything was good. If my stomach could have held more, I would have loved to try more of them. I did manage to save a little space to share the plantain creme brûlée. The brunch here is amazing! Holds up super well for to go orders! I ordered the avocado toast, comes with potatoes and fruit. It was all so good! A day later and I'm still thinking about that avocado toast. The desayuno quesadilla is also a great meal. You can choose chorizo or ham for your quesadilla. The rice that comes with it is the best rice I've ever had. So flavorful. They're outside seating is also open so I look forward to dining al fresco some day soon! read more

I don't want to give out 3 stars for this place, but I left feeling slightly overwhelmed. Positive notes were the friendly staff and fun atmosphere. I'll definitely give them another try maybe for dinner. We visited this restaurant for the character breakfast (Moana) so it was pretty busy. Maybe another reason the food was just ok. I ordered the chilaquiles which was very different. Red sauce with peppers over eggs, beans, and plantains. My daughter had the special Moana pancakes. Everything was ok. Not great not bad. The event was fun! I'm not sure I would have heard about this restaurant if not for the Moana lunch since I don't frequent Greendale much. This place is lovely inside and out. There is ample seating and it is clean and well-kept. The staff seemed young, but everyone was really nice and accommodating. My husband ordered the basic breakfast with eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast. He seemed to enjoy it. He also ordered a regular horchata, but they had a boozy option and a caffeinated option if you like horchata. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich. It was good, but messy. The jerk chicken is not one big piece, but chopped up and served on toasted bread which sort of fell apart on me and wasn't really a good bite as a whole. It would have been better if it was one piece and served on a stronger bread to keep up with the moist chicken. I ordered a Bloody Mary, which was good, but I wish it had more spice. We also got some churros as an appetizer. It is enough for two to three people, as there are six in a serving. We ordered the sauces on the side. The churros are amazing and covered in cinnamon sugar. They are a little messy though as a lot of the sugar fell off when taking a bite. I guess they run out of them frequently, so be forewarned. All in all, it was a good experience and I would definitely go back again and order something new. read more
