I came for food and the staff was wonderful. Hannah and Vinny were super interactive and attentive. First time here and I will return. The atmosphere, food, and vibes were amazing. Bathroom was clean.

Highlights/Lowlights 1. Friendly Service 2. Reservations Not Needed* 3. Good Food Full disclosure - I visited Lowcountry on a Tuesday night after attempting to walk in eat at the bar at nearby Vagabond (it was completely packed). I had sort of been holding on trying Lowcountry until the weather warms up because the pictures online of the patio look amazing! We visited (without reservations) before a show at the Marcus Center and surprisingly only a few tables of the expansive Lowcountry space were full. We immediately were able to grab seats at the bar and were greeted by a friendly server. The menu is fairly limited to seafood mains (shrimp, crab legs etc.) as well as chicken wings and ton of side choices. My friend and I split one of the combos which included 10 chicken wings, cornbread and fries. It was only $22 and perfect for 2! The food was pretty good! I wouldn't say they were the best wings and sides Ive ever had but I felt they were fair for the price. This was so convenient to eat before our show that we couldn't pass it up. I will be back to try the patio this summer!

loved the quality of the seafood, and they do a good job on that seafood boil. Highly recommend ordering the garlic noodles for the boil on the side.

This place is soooooo incredibly good. I frequent New Orleans so I typically avoid Cajun style food because it's never right. But this place was exactly that casual taste. Seafood was fresh, decor was beautiful. It's huge too so can accommodate large groups.

Lowcountry milwaukee (there's what I'm assuming is a sister establishment called "Lowcountry Chicago" in of course Chicago) is one of those informal seafood boil places that have sprung up all over in the last couple years. This one sits right on water st in the old bar louie location. They've done up the inside in kind of a outdoor backyard BBQ type of feel with lampposts, picket fences, and picnic tables all over. Due to covid you order at the counter, get a number and they bring you your food as well as a bucket for shells, and a not lobster but crab bib. If you've never been to these places it's messy but that's part of the fun. There's a main Station with a sink for hand washin, utensils, to-go containers and even disposable gloves. They bring your seafood boil in a giant plastic bag on a tray. I didn't really look at the menu that much, just went with combo a - pound of shrimp, 3 potatoes, 2 corns and 2 pieces of corn bread...plus you got a soda with this one for 27 dollars. I would check for signs for specials at the register - after I ordered I noticed a 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 another seafood special at the counter for like 29 bucks. You can choose your heat level...im wimpy so I went with the lowest heat level. Seasoning choices were lemon peppers, garlic or Cajun. I did garlic and it was fine. This isn't a cheap meal obviously but I had leftovers to take home, they split the shrimp for you and they were fresh, and seafood can be pricey even at the grocery store. I'd love to go back and try something else here - great meal.

So this place is a treasure! I got the Combo C with everything sauce (a pound of crab, a pound of shrimp, potatoes, corn and cornbread) and I am still dreaming about how delicious it was. The corn was so soft and delicious. The potatoes were well cooked. The everything sauce was where all the good stuff was. The crab and shrimp soaked in that sauce were a game changer. The crab legs were to die for and the shrimp were soft and sumptuous. The restaurant inside was beautiful with that southern Nola vibes. I plan on trying their beignet next time. They follow all Covid social distancing protocols.

I dined here and sat at the bar. The food was pretty good, I just got crawfish, corn and potato. The service was my main issue as they were just very unprofessional and were taking nonstop shots with the patrons. Typically I'd be fine with it but it was more of a party scene. They offered me shots and I politely declined and it seemed to upset the waitress. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally was able to tonight! Walking in it's very open and very bright. I love how they have remodeled it and all of the different seating selections they have. They seat you, give you a menu, when you are ready you go up to the counter and order then they bring it out to your table. Very easy process and the food doesn't take too long to come out. My friend and I ordered the crab and crawfish combo and added shrimp. It was plenty of food for us to share easily, almost too much. Comes with corn, potatoes and jalapeño cornbread. We ordered all seasonings hot spice level. That was plenty of heat for me, anything higher I don't think I would have been able to eat it. The manager was walking through and asked us if he could get us anything and how we were doing. He was extremely nice. I would definitely come up here again. I live these types of restaurants.

We loved ii! We came in a Sunday right away at 4pm. before the crowd got there. They were nice enough to let us in a few minutes early. A hostess explained how to order. They give you a menu to browse at the table and you go to the counter to order. You choose your protein, veggies, sauce, and add ons. We had a special with shrimp, a small lobster, crab legs, corn, and potatoes. We also added sausage links and garlic noodles. You get corn bread included. There are several sauces to choose from. We had the everythang sauce which is a mixture of all the sauces. They bring the bag to the table and cut it open in front of you. They offer bibs and gloves so you don't stain your clothes. It was the two of us and we were happy with portion size and the flavor was off the charts! They recommended using the noodles to stop up the sauce. I'd love to try the other options. desserts were fried Oreos or benights. We will be back for sure.

The colors, the well-placed low lighting, the appropriate volume of cajun music ... all done in excellent taste. The waitstaff is INCREDIBLE. They all seem to be having a great time, when it's slow, and when it's busy, which is important to see; plus, they help each other out. Waiters, bartenders, bussers, hosts, food-runners - they're often smiling and helpful to anyone. Not only did our waiter Scotty take amazing care of us (a group of 10 on a Saturday night, all arriving at different times; and he had many other tables besides us), but his teammates helped bring drinks, clear the table, and our deliver our food. Everything was timely, fresh, and as far as I know, no errors were made with drinks or food. We were all quite satisfied with our meal. The reason I give 3 stars is, for some reason I do not understand, near the end of our meal, we heard a man yelling quite loudly from the kitchen area AT OUR SERVER. The man (manager I assume) was insisting that Scotty was not attentive to us (and I can't discern a single reason why this would be claimed). Even if he noticed something we didn't -- it could have been a moment of quiet criticism, but this dude turned it into a screaming fit. And he could not have been more wrong. In fact overhearing this exchange (right around the corner, within full earshot of us and the back half of the restaurant) was the ONLY thing that soured our otherwise amazing experience. We then watched who I assume was the same guy (red-faced and angry) sit down at a table very close to us, and our server return a moment later somewhat shaken up. It was awful. We made sure to congratulate him loudly on his impeccable service after that. I don't know if the manager heard or not. But one can hope. This was not my first time here, but it was the first time I've experienced anything like this. Like I said, the team seems solid, our service is always timely and kind (and often, incredibly FUN) even when they're PACKED, the food is bangin', the oysters are fresh and delicious, and EVERYTHING is well priced & spiced! So we will be back. But we really hated seeing our waiter treated like that. For anyone who doesn't know - waiters in WI currently make $2.33/hour. This is below the federal wage rate of $7.25/hour for the same job. They survive off your tips. If they're good, they're great, and GOD BLESS THEM - they must do what they do because they love people. This manager did not seem to appreciate what he had right in front of him. But we did!!!! GO SCOTTY GOOOOO

Needless to say, it was crowded and lively, but our table was waiting for us and we were sat immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with our menu choices, which were limited due to their Madi Gras-only offerings, but also plentiful and varied. My husband decided on the jambalaya, I went with the crawfish étouffée, and we split the roasted Cajun cauliflower as an appetizer. While it's hard for this kind of stew-like, saucy, veggie/sausage/seafood over rice mixtures to present beautifully, everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The jambalaya had a little more of a kick than I prefer, but my husband loved it and my crawfish étouffée had the perfect amount of spice without being spicy. The roasted cauliflower was cooked to perfection and was the perfect way to start the meal. Not pictured is the bananas foster bread pudding that was the perfect way to end it. We both left with extra food to take home and the memory of a wonderful meal and great experience.

The meal came with a cornbread muffin. Their soft drinks here are canned and with one and tax my bill was $17 and change. The prices here are reasonable. While the vegetables were hot and good tasting the chicken was barely warm. It was a victim of the dreaded non heated serving pan it was in and being kept out on the line too long. Came on a Monday night with a friend. Food: Really like the menu. Lots of diversity to choose from, and the prices are reasonable. We started with a couple of specialty cocktails. I had the Sazerac, and my friend had the OG Old Fashioned. Both were well made, and there was plenty of alcohol in each. For an appetizer, we got the Frogs on the Mound, which, as you can imagine, is 1/2 lb of frog legs on haystack onion rings. I haven't had frog legs in a while, and I thought these were very good. The breading was light, well seasoned, and not overcooked. The haystack onion rings were just okay. They could have been hotter and maybe seasoned (or just salted) a bit more. For our entrees, I got the Blackened Catfish, and he got the Grouper Tacos. Both of these meals were also very good. The blackened fish was the best part of my meal. It was excellently seasoned, cooked to the right temperature, and moist and flaky. Delicious! The collard greens were good, but would have been better with just a bit more pork. More pork is always better. The rice and beans were good too, but the temperature was less than hot. My friend enjoyed his Grouper Tacos, and the bite he shared with me was very good, except for the green peppers. I much prefer orange or yellow peppers, but I realize that's a personal taste issue. The tacos tasted fresh, the fish was tender, and the portions were good. Service: The place was about a quarter full. Even though we weren't in a hurry, the service got off to a bit of a slow start. After getting waters and menus, it took a while for our server to get back to us. I started to worry that this might be an issue for the rest of the evening, so I made a point of getting their attention. After that, things went smoothly. After ordering appetizers and entrees, the food came out in a timely fashion. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. Thanks, Sarah 1 and Sarah 2 :) Atmosphere: Besides the separate bar area, the dining room is a big open space with lots of four-top tables spread around. Around the walls there are posters, art pieces, and plenty of Mardi Gras beads. I wasn't sure at the time, but there was something a bit cramped about the interior. After looking at the pictures, I think it might have to do with the low, tiled ceiling. (I think this is the first time I have ever mentioned something about a tiled ceiling.) On this night, it was quiet and easy to have a comfortable conversation. Glad that we finally stopped in for a meal. With the exception of the initial service delay and some small issues with a couple of food items, it was a very good meal. Would definitely want to stop back again to try other parts of the menu.
