Nice people & if you are hungry, they are open 24/7. So it is a convenience to those who get up early before they go into work or have an early flight where hotels don't offer breakfast at such an early time. Solid breakfast and food. It gets the job done read more

George Webb Restaurant - Country-Style Breakfast - American Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Fairly standard diner that serves all the favorite breakfast, sandwich, side, and sweet items in a quick and efficient manner. Parking isn't too difficult to get here and the decor is what you'd expect out of a diner. The food was prepared hot and to expectation with the usual set of butter and syrup. I tried the french toast and pancakes here and the result was fairly similar what I'd expect to get at a Denny's or IHOP. Overall, a reasonable stop for quick diner food. read more

Took 25 minutes to get something we could have made at home. Granted, it looked like they were busy but when the food came it was all but dropped on the table, seriously greasy and not that good. For what I paid for three people we won't be back. Been to better Webb restaurants. read more

The food was completely inadequate tasteless and disgusting The only good thing that came from that horrible time was my waiter Will he's the only reason why I will come back read more

I was looking for a diner for a quick meal, and George Webb Restaurant fit the bill. The server was incredibly nice. I ordered pancakes and sausage. It satisfied my craving for pancakes and breakfast food. We ordered chocolate cake al a mode fit dessert. It was good but was very expensive for what you get, almost $8.00. I left George Webb Restaurant satisfied, and it comes recommended. read more

My sister and I were out late and decided to stop for dinner at 2:40am on 7/25/26. I usually love the service and food at the Howell Ave GW, but it was a very poor experience. There were 3 women behind the grill and a man waiting tables. We put our order in at 2:45. I ordered a hamburger with a few fried onions, french fries and pickles on the side. My sister ordered a bowl of chili. She was asked if she wanted onions and sour cream to which she said yes. There were several tables with customers and one at the counter, along with a Door Dash. It was 3am and we had not received our food so my sister asked if our order was almost ready. The man at the counter was also asking when his food was going to be ready. The waiter said oh, I'll check; then didn't come back for several minutes until he saw my sister looking at him. He said they were finishing up my fries. He brought the plate and then questioned again what my sister wanted on the chili. My hamburger was barely lukewarm, the fries weren't done, and the pickles were on the hamburger. My sister's chili was room temperature (something wrong with the soup warmer?) and the onions were big chunks rather than being diced. I don't know if training was being done but this was not up to the usual excellent service and food I normally enjoy. As I was getting in my car, I watched one of the women behind the grill run her hands through her hair. Gross! read more

I was hoping merely to avoid catastrophe when I pulled up on what seemed at first glance a climate challenged house of waffles boasting 24-hour food service and a no refund policy... really? why and how does that get posted in the store? I totally get it, but still??? walked in anyway and sat down on a too low, too close to the counter stool and had a look at the menu as coffee and iced water arrived. skillet? nope. pancakes? nope. omelet? nope. the All American is eggs, taters, sausages, and toast! just right!! I hope :-\ my food arrives much, much sooner than expected and looks pretty normal... bright yellow yolks, lightly browned hashed potatoes, ample sausage patties, and plain white toast (wanted dry but it never seems to work out that way) a blast of hot sauce on the eggs and drag the hash browns through. bites of whites and taters and sausage in rotation and then toast to finish! wasn't expecting much but they seriously overperformed: clean restaurant, polite efficient service, hot coffees, food fastly, good value... I will totally eat here again when I return in the spring :-) read more

Overpriced. Little ass plates skillets and completes. But want basically 20 dollars a plate. Now. U crazy.

Not sure who the ladies are working here but they did amazing with how jam packed it is. With DoorDash orders coming in and orders left and right, these two ladies deserve a raise. They were the only two working, one waitress and one chef. Def a stressful situation, but they did a great job. I was here on 8/25/25 read more

I go out of my way to go to this location to get one of the "Free burger vouchers" this morning for the Brewers winning 12 games in a row. I get there and the worker said we don't have them yet. This is 7:30 am and they were running all the FREE PROMO on FOX6 local MEDIA AND NEWS outlets. I'm mad because if YOU want to take ADVANTAGE OF THE LOCAL MEDIAS FREE PROMO that u get with your vice president all posing for the cameras saying yeah we ready. No u are not. I angry because George webbs used to do better. Heck, it was my first job at 14 years old and I went on to have a 20 plus yrs as a Executive Chef in the Milwaukee restaurant scene. Please please please reach back to me. This is horrible. When I came in she said 15 people came right before me and she had to turn them away. This should have been handled properly since the local news was blasting it starting at 430 am. Smh. Kyle W read more

I had to pick someone up from the airport in the wee hours of the morning after their flight was delayed multiple times. Milwaukee was having bad weather, so I left much earlier than I apparently needed to because I got to the area with an hour to spare. Given the lack of places open after midnight by the airport, I chose to stop at George Webb's and get a couple of things to help pass the time. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a bowl of chicken flavored noodles. The mozzarella sticks were Italian breaded, which I like, but they were still cold on the inner most part. Not sure why that's hard to screw up, but ok. Chicken flavored noodles is George Webb's take on chicken noodle soup, but literally with just a neon yellow chicken flavored broth and noodles. I shouldn't have expected much given the disdain I had for Webb's before this stop, but my god this soup is just lazy. If you don't want to include bits of chicken in it, at least add some carrots and celery. Pathetic. read more

George Webb serves it purpose. It's a late night oasis for folks who have been drinking, working hard, or have issues sleeping. It would be depicted in an Edward Hopper painting. I went back on my first night after moving back to Milwaukee following a 12 year absence. The cheeseburgers and fries tasted the same. I enjoyed my meal and the food helped absorb the Rehorst Vodka. It was Milwaukee gestalt, an apt name for the painting. read more

The servers who work at this location are always so kind and courteous. Their customer service skills exceed what anyones expectations might ever be. As I'm not a "regular", I don't honestly know what to get. Each time I've been here (this is my 3rd experience) the servers have helped me out. I've had the pleasure of being helped by 2 different people in these trips. Both ladies were top notch! Tonight's server is Angie, and I've had her twice. Angie is one of the best servers I've ever seen. Polite, helpful, and not just to me- but every customer I watched her greet and serve. The aroma of good food at a great price wafts in the air. When you combine the two- it's magic! Highly recommend!!! read more

Food and service are still awesome but there is a sharp increase in price. A regular single burger went up to $7.00? We used to stop for breakfast every week but haven't because of the pandemic. Our bill was about $5.00 more than usual. With tip two burgers, fries, two cups of chili and soda was nearly $25.00. a nice treat but not a weekly thing. read more

Stopped in after a 14 hour work shift for carryout. They staple the bag closed before they hand it to you. Now i know why. I live at least 20 minutes away. When i got home my order was completely wrong. I ordered a BACON double cheeseburger - No Bacon The Big breakfast - with Scrambled eggs with cheese melted on top - Did't get any cheese Hashbrowns -with onion, green peppers, ham and cheese - Only got PLAIN hashbrowns. I'm so pissed off and tired of getting ripped off from this place. This isn't the first time this happened. I had to pay EXTRA for the cheese and stuff. Quality control is non existent. No wonder they're closing all the stores. DO NOT EAT HERE. You are warned... read more

Service has been going down since I started coming here. Today as an example, I had to ask for napkins when I got my chili. I had to ask for silverware when I got my meal. I got no refills on my soda or water. I am now sitting here trying to get the attention of the server to get my check. I love George Webb, but the service is terrible and I will be finding another place to eat. read more

WAS my go to spot to relax back in early 2000s and have a nice bkfst before going to work--back then staffed with really nice grandmas who could really run the place--today it's very corporate feeling, cold abrupt attitudes-- 25% smaller portions-- just a get in get out type of place which really takes away from that welcoming Milw feel-- only the merch you can buy reminds me of how it used to be-- sad read more

Pretty good food, close to hotel, great service, decent prices. Have to sit at different tables if more than a party of 4.

Service was great, food was horrible. Went to George webs as a kid and remember it being better. Burger was thin as penny and burnt to a crisp, eggs were worse than military chow hall eggs (tasted like the powdered liquid mix bull shit). I've had better eggs on deployment. Place really went downhill seems like. Sucks cuz I was hoping for a nostalgic trip down memory lane. read more

Same delicious food that was the staple of my existence after High School 28 years ago. Come for the coffee and chili but stayed for the show. Breakfast for dinner. Dinner for breakfast this place is INSANELY GOOD!! They're open 23 hrs and 59 minutes a day 365 days of the year and if you don't know what time it is, they have two clocks. It's like taking a step back in time. The only thing that would make it better is if it was styled like an old cafe with a long countertop and stools with booth seats behind you. Like Gibbs favorite restaurant in NCIS. read more

Didn't even make it to my seat before the waitress yelled, "there will be a long wait!" After my fiancé asked how long will the wait be the waitress replied, "15 minutes!!" Great chili. Burgers ok. Service friendly and excellent. Been numerous times. Never an issue.

I love George Webb and have always come to this location. Yesterday Sunday 03/07/21 I had a horrible experience with one of their servers. A fair comparison would be with Denny's or Perkins, the only other two restaurants open around here after evening classes are done. George Webb is better. George Webb Restaurant - Kind of a Milwaukee version of "Nighthawks" - American Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

George Webb turned away, in a very dehumanizing way, a homeless man who was brought in but a paying customer for a warm meal during a big, freezing winter storm. They were rude and flat out mean. When I called to ask about this, the corporate location assured me this was not policy and they felt as deeply concerned about this as I did. Then I received text messages from another number that said they don't allow undesirable behavior, the man was only sitting down waiting to order, not bothering anyone. The only behavior that is undesirable was that of the restaurants and I will refuse to give this business any further support in any fashion. read more

When in MKE.......I've driven by the GW chain, heard about it at the Brewer games but never had stepped foot in the chain ....until last Saturday night. Where else are you going to go at 3AM after closing down the neighborhood tap and get good cheap food?!?!?!? The food is okay and the prices cheap, but the service here is so terrible that I just don't go there, EVER. The people that work there look unprofessional, dirty, and their attitudes match it. Service was excellent! My wife and I both had burgers, and they were pretty darn good! The fries that came with the burgers weren't anything special, but they were good steak fries.
