George was right (eventually). 12 in a row!!! Go Brewers!

Call me crazy, but I love George Webb's (and their eternal prediction that the Milwaukee Brewers will win twelve games in a row). For a cheap burger that's awesome there's nothing better than a Double Webb with fried onions. The breakfasts are great, too. I love getting the corn beef hash with eggs and toast. Classic simple American food. They are located all over Southeastern Wisconsin and even the nicest ones are divey. It's not a place for a hot date, but it's a great way to soak up the local flavor. If you enjoy a "greasy spoon," George Webb's is Milwaukee's finest!

This location is old school compared to some of the other locations that I've been to. This location still uses an old cash register and order pads compared to an iPad ordering system Is location is quieter than most locations until you get the one guy who's talking super loud on a cell phone

Miss Daisy's has been open for just two weeks in the old Alpha Gyros location and word is already…read morespreading. I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.

We came early on a week night so it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. During sports on TV this place can fill up and be a bit noisy so if you're looking for quiet, prob not during a Packer game or other big sporting events. First off, they had Sprite Zero!! Not many places have sugarfree caffeine free soda so I was over the moon. We started with some cheese curds which were very good. They were batter dipped not breaded (I prefer batter dipped). I had the biria tacos. I did find them greasy (as biria tacos can be) but also didn't find a lot of flavor in the dipping consommé. For me these were just ok. Not sure I would get them again. There are plenty of other choices in the menu - you won't run out of things to try. My friend got the half sandwich and soup combo. It was a lot of food. She took quite a bit home. Over all it's a great place to go whether it's a planned night out or spur of the moment stop. Never had bad service here!

Smells amazing upon walking in! Super cute interior and friendly staff! Get here early or be…read moreprepared for a wait because this is a local favorite for having the best BBQ around. It's hard to keep a great thing a secret for too long! My go-to here is the smoked pulled chicken and I love their NC mustard sauce with it. The pork here is also amazing and I've yet to have a side I didn't like. Portions are a good size too and in-line with the prices. The old-fashioned is also tasty and a solid choice to round out your meal. Service is always fast and food is consistently good. I'm already looking forward to our next visit but as they've become busier, I wish there was a waitlist option. If you're lucky, you could catch their food truck out and about as well to get a taste of their menu! Yum!

I found some excellent Bar B Q in Wisconsin....Milwaukee to be exact. I had dinner at Double B's…read morerecently and it was a very satisfying visit. It's open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner. Parking is on the street and is free for 2 hours which is plenty of time to dine here. It's nice inside and has a full bar. I ordered the Smokehouse Half Chicken platter for $18. It came with cole slaw, cornbread and one of their side dishes. I chose the Smokehouse Beans and it took about 10 minutes for the meal to arrive. While I waited I checked out the 4 sauces that were on the table and liked the KC mild the best. When the food arrived I noticed the large 1/2 chicken and the sides. The chicken was juicy and delicious with a smokey flavor. Paired with the KC mild sauce, it was yummy (4). Yes, their chicken is very good but it was the side dishes that really impressed me. The beans were rich in flavor and savory. Perfect (5). The cole slaw was creamy and smooth tasting making an excellent palate cleanser (5). The cornbread was soft and warm with that original cornmeal aroma (5). And finally, I ate the 2 pickle slices added on the plate. Fresh tasting with a firm texture and perfect flavor (5). The table service by Maxie was friendly and efficient. I wish I could have had one more meal here to test other menu items before giving this score. My experience has found that many bar b q restaurants prepare very good meats but it's their side dishes that make some of them stand out. The chicken was very good and I would order it again but the side dishes really impressed me. Even the pickles! For those reasons, I give Double B's a 5 score. This is as good as it gets.
