Mickey Mouse Pancakes
Kimberly N.

Great family place with excellent food! The kids got Mickey Mouse pancakes for dinner and my husband and I got Mexican dishes (chimichanga & tacos), everything was delicious. Super friendly staff too, the bus boy kept coming by to cheer up my 1yr old who was not happy about being in her high chair, and the waitstaff was great too. Lots of variety on the menu so looking forward to the next time we stop in. Also great that it's connected to a strip mall, when the 1yr old just wouldn't stop screaming my husband went out with her to walk the halls so we still ended on a good note.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It's a down-homey place with friendly staff, a great cook, great food, and good prices.

Glenda's Cafe - Good Morning burrito

Food=4stars Service=3stars…read moreAmbiance=3stars It's a Small space for 20 diners. 1 person controls seating, food delivery and check cash out. It might be ok to add another person. I don't want breakfast to take an hour. I've been here many times. Just wanted things to faster today. I dislike waiting.

After a morning hike we decided we needed some food. Glenda's was the closest option and I have…read morebeen wanting to try this small town cafe. The outside is cute and looks like it is straight off of a country road. The inside is small, I would estimate about 10 tables and 5 bar stool seats as half the counter is used for food prep. When we got there at 8:30 toe, four person table were unoccupied, but marked as reserved. We were too hungry to wait and decided to take a seat at the bar. I caution you on this as there is exactly zero padding in those stools. Do yourself a favor and wait for a table. We ordered pretty quickly, and my coffee was constantly refilled which any coffee drinker knows is a huge plus. You really get the small town service with a smile at Glenda's. The chef cooks right in front of everyone so you can see all of the dishes coming out. I love this because I often choose my meal based on what has been plated and walks by. We ordered the Good Morning Burrito ($8) with hashbrowns and eggs, hashbrowns, and choice of meat ($7.50). The burrito was the clear winner in terms of volume and flavor! Absolutely delicious and it came with a side of salsa. The eggs were good and cooked well. The sausage patties were pretty standard issue (you can also get sausage links, bacon, ham). The hashbrowns were your average hashbrowns, but what set them apart was the fact that they were crispy! It is hard to find crispy hashbrown when you go out for breakfast. We will return to try a couple more menu items!

Pros: -Huge menu…read more-Good, consistent food -Servers have always been nice -Quick seating when not a special day (Mother's/Father's Day/etc.) Cons: -Crowded on special days There are a few things on this menu that have never let me down (knock on wood) and they are: Turkey Avocado BLT - the homemade focaccia hoagie brings this home in a big way! Great Morning Wrap - always has the right ratio of ingredients so you get a little of everything in each bite. PRO TIP: ask for an extra side of the chipotle mayo. Other things that we have tried and enjoyed: Chicken Dumpling Soup -- always recommended by those who have tried it. Steak and Eggs - good portion for the price and well seasoned. Eggs Benedict - really rich hollandaise sauce, and the fresh arugala balances well against that richness. This is one of my wife's favs. Biscuits & Gravy - this definitely ranges, better sometimes vs. others, but that range is great (4.5*) to good (3.5*). It just depends on the day that you go I have probably eaten at Maxim's 12-15 times and have never had an unsatisfying experience. I am sure that they will treat you right too!

We ordered a few different things for lunch. The French onion soup was very salty, but the brisket sandwich that they had on the menu was amazing. The brisket was like butter. I had a large Cobb salad, which some of the things in it tasted very chemical like. The lettuce and the cucumbers, especially had some strange chemical taste. Slightly acidic. I can't put my finger on it. I would not recommend. All in all, if you're looking for a place for brunch while you're in Oconomowoc, you might wanna stop in here just for an experience once. I don't know that we will be back, but you never know. I will say there is a large variety across three menus. So somebody should be able to find something that they like.

They also have different specialty cocktails throughout the year. -Cheese curds...I know, it's Wisconsin, but these are right up there with the elite. Cons: -I'll let you know when I find some. We've been to Crafty Cow several times over the last year, probably four or five times, and we've always been impressed by how friendly the waitstaff and bar staff are. The owner is also very nice and clearly involved, which I think is cool. I almost always order the same thing: the chicken strip meal, which comes with three huge strips and a large side of fries. The chicken here is really interesting because it's marinated in pickle brine. You can definitely taste the brine, and it adds something you didn't even realize was missing. My wife used to order the same thing, but now she tries something different each time because she knows she can share my strips. Everything she has tried has been good. Also worth mentioning: they have really good ranch dressing. I was surprised when I looked up Crafty Cow on Yelp and saw that it had less than four stars. Looking at some of the older reviews, I'm guessing it may have had a bit of a rocky start. But based on our experiences, Crafty Cow has been consistently great, and we'll definitely keep coming back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Working with clients in Oconomowoc, I…read morerecently lunched at Crafty Cow Burgers & Fried Chicken; we had a terrific experience! The interior decor is very 'pub' like with expanses of dark wood and many art prints/framed works on the walls; there is a large bar in the front area with several tables/high-tops. In the back, the aesthetic is more 'industrial' with exposed brickwork and beams. We were greeted by the bartender (?) and seated immediately; our waitress brought us menus, reviewed the specials with us, and then brought our drinks. Crafty Cow specialises in 'craft' sodas and I enjoyed a very nice diet 'cola' drink with lemon; it was delicious. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the 'Nashville Hot' seasoning (because, hello, Nashville Hot) and it arrived piping hot with lots of shoe-string fries, also piping hot. The flavours were absolutely wonderful, full of contrast and balance. The 'heat' from the chicken was excellent; the chicken was plump and juicy, and had been perfectly breaded and fried. The slaw was also excellent: just the right balance of sweet and crunchy to offset the hot chicken. My clients and I enjoyed our visit to Crafty Cow Burgers & Fried Chicken and plan to return! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
