Ambiance is very lively and warm. Lots of families coming here for a meal and also friends for drinks. The wait was pretty long even though we were first on the list (~20-30min). We were a party of 6 though so that also may be why. The sweet potato waffle fries are sooo good!! my friends really liked the cheese curds. I ordered the baked cod with salad. Everything was great and I liked the fresh veggies. The rye bread was ok. I tried th potato pancakes as well which were a pleasant surprise- I didn't expect them to be good! They recently moved into their new building and it is an awesome place to meet friends, customers, etc. Great location, it was extremely hot the day we went, so the roll up doors were closed, but they do have outdoor seating when weather permits. Parking is tight when it gets crowded. The staff is amazing, the food is great and the beer is ice cold!!! We really enjoyed our fish fry. I would strongly recommend as good size portions and friendly staff.

It was almost a 4 star review! The loaded tots were amazing! The wings were a 7.1 on a scale of "one bite everyone knows the rules." Bloody Mary was good, but should have a spicy option. Now the bad. The chicken tenders were not good. Very dry. And sadly the Diet Coke lacked carbonation. Both of those things are likely easy fixes. Hope to update this review to 4 or 5 stars one day! read more

We stopped in for lunch just after they opened so we were the first customers of the day. This is normally a red flag for me but the bartender/server (Nicole) was so friendly and welcoming we stayed. Most of the tables are high tops, but she directed us to the lone low top in the back. This made my 82 year old mother very happy. The lunch special was sliders for $2 each. They had four: BLT, pulled pork, brisket and cheeseburger. My mom chose twi cheese burgers and with fries was more than enough. I had the pulled pork and brisket with fries. Both were good, although the brisket was oversauced. The fries were incredible! They do a light beer batter on them and they are so crunchy and flavorful. It looks like a fun place at night and it's right on the lake for the summer. read more

Visited the new location for the first time on a Friday for lunch (1:00). We were told that the baked fish wasn't available and the catfish wasn't available. I asked if I could have the taco salad served on a plate and whether they could substitute the usual tortilla shell for a few tortilla chips. The answer was no, no substitutions. I ordered a basic grilled chicken sandwich. When it arrived, I asked for a little mayonnaise on the side. Then I waited. My friend ordered the shrimp Po boy and fries. They brought her tater tots in error, so the server took it back to the kitchen. And she waited. My friend's sandwich came out again with the fries on the plate. I continued to wait for some mayonnaise And my chicken sandwich was getting cold. Server told me "she only had two hands" She'd be right back. Finally got a mayonnaise The chicken sandwich was very good but lukewarm at this point. Since the term "TIP" means to ensure prompt service, her tip reflected her lack of care. Her apologies. Came at the end of our meal, felt like she was trying to redeem herself and get a decent tip. I would give the food a four-star but due to the service, dropped it to three stars. We were not allowed to eat inside because my child had her trained medical service dog. We were told by owner that he had special permission from the county to ignore federal ADA laws. He claimed he had the right to refuse us service because it would hurt his business to allow a child with a medical alert dog to eat indoors. He also claimed he had staff that was uncomfortable and allergic to dogs. Not a valid excuse with ADA laws. Then he told us the owner of the building refused medical alert dogs. So heads up special needs community- you are NOT welcome here! read more

Good bar with great food. It's a really good place to watch a game. Owner and staff are very friendly and we're very accommodating to our group looking to watch the Bears game which was at the same time as the Packers game. They even included us in the free shots for Packers TDs. Been here a few times and will be back. Only wish they had more parking from the lake. read more

Kick Switch for the win. Was looking for a fish fry last night. So glad the place I usually go was packed and had a wait. So many different choices for fish. The baked cod did not disappoint. It was hot, flakey and melt in your mouth goodness. I also enjoy that I was not forced to pick a starch to pair with my fish, but instead could have a side salad! The salad was amazing, so great to see other vegetables on a side salad! The green pepper and onion was a welcome change to the typical side salads at most places! The service was also amazing, fast and friendly. Also being able to sit outside was great. It was a beautiful night and what better way to enjoy a delicious meal! This might me my new go to! This place is great for casual dining, not very classy and more like a bar with restaurant grade food! Unfortunately understaffed but they still managed to make a great dinner. The food portions were large and perfect for a hungry stomach. Waitress was super friendly (and funny) while still keeping it professional. I would definitely recommend to a friend and will be back soon! read more

A co-worker recommend this place for Friday night fish fry. Didn't make it out Friday, but decided to give it a try. It looks like the place was recently remodeled. Rustic and classy. We started with the Bloody Mary's. Very good, made fresh from scratch. We split the nachos with pulled pork. OMG awesome! The pulled pork with their signature BBQ sauce was fricken delicious. I went to pick up Friday fish fry, which is excellent, on July 31. It's seriously delicious. However, there were about 100 people in the place and I was the only person wearing a mask. The bar was packed, all the tables were full, it was honestly shocking. Unfortunately, even though the staff were friendly and the food is great, I can only give it one star due to their terrible handling of the current pandemic. If I hear that they make some adjustments to this, I'll happily add some stars to my review. read more

It looks like this restaurant has new management already from the last time I went there. My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich and he ended up pulling a long hair out of it. The hair was actually holding the sandwich together. The new management offers to make him a new sandwich, and by the time it came 20 minutes later, I was done eating and had to wait for him. My boyfriend picks up the new sandwich, and there is a new long hair sticking to the bottom of the bun. I couldn't believe it. I showed the manager and she removed the sandwich from the bill, which we didn't care about because we had a Groupon anyway. We stopped in shortly after opening on a Monday (for either a late lunch or early dinner), and not surprisingly the only ones in the place at first. You know how sometimes when that happens the service finds a way to neglect you even though the place is empty? Well, this was NOT our experience. The server/bartender, Morgan, was great. She didn't treat us differently when we ordered water to drink and showed up with a Groupon. We ordered a pretty good sampling of food, and I was overall really happy. There's a cool section on the menu where you can add a small portion of something to your meal, so we added some wings and tiger shrimp. Both were great, but I especially loved both the buffalo and garlic parm wings. The buff chicken salad was pretty solid, a little different than the online description I read, but good. We also got the brisket plate with fries. Fries don't usually stand out, but these were great. The brisket sauce had good flavor, but the meat missed the mark a little for me. (I'm serious about my bbq.) There's one more thing I just can't let go. My first impression was the outdoor signage that read "Hipster Gig." I'm not sure what's going on here. It was a pretty standard suburban bar. They were playing pop country. The only other patrons were middle-aged regulars, none of whom wore trucker hats or sported tattoos. Maybe it's so very anti-hipster that it's hipster? Either way, good food. read more

Hidden away in Okauchee, this is a local gem. Waitress aimed to please. Prices are terrific for the very ample portions. My sister had a BBQ brisket and took home 5 slices. The French fries had wonderful crispy edges but not over-done. You can order hamburgers medium rare and they will do it. I had the French dip. There was close to a full pound of shaved roast beef because I took home over 8oz. The sandwich was more than 2" wide with mushrooms, onions, green peppers and I had swiss cheese. Bit of a Philly cheesesteak flavor. Decent size cup of homemade coleslaw was also very good. Will definitely be back to try one of the other entrees. read more

Wow! The food was fantastic and service was much better! Nachos were very good. Went well with a Red's Apple and an O'so porter. Hard call between chips or fries with a sandwich. The wife stayed traditional with a great Mushroom and Swiss burger. This time I had a sandwich that not only had the pulled pork on it but had brisket and bacon on it. I will get this again. I've got my feet up and am reminiscing about what great food we had. The BBQ reminds me of some of the great stuff I had in TN. read more

It is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire Milwaukee area and one you should definitely try. I plan on visiting on other evenings also. My family and I decided to try this place for the first time on a Monday night. My son and I arrive a little bit ahead of my wife. As we sat down at a table I noticed the lack of anyone working. No bartender, no wait staff. After 5 minutes I finally see a bartender which I then went to the bar and asked if there is any wait staff working tonight. She said that she is the bartender and wait staff. 1 person running the show. There were maybe 4-5 people at the bar and at least 4 tables of people that were there for food. She told me she has to get one order from a table and then would be over. By that time my wife arrived. We watched at the bartender/waitress took an order from a table and then she proceeded to fulfill the drink order for that table. Multitasking was not her strong suite. After an additional 15 minutes, we had it and walked out. A total of 20 minutes and on a Monday and didn't even get to order drinks let alone dinner. Off to Foolerys we went where there was plenty of people working both wait staff and bartenders and had a great meal. read more
