Very good chips on Mac and cheese. We have enjoyed many of the dishes that offered and are reasonably priced.

Wife was here before and she said it was good, so off we went from Holy Hill. Seen the monthly/weekly special burger and it was right up my alley. Service was speedy and the food came out at a good clip. My wife had the Bang Bang shrimp wrap. It was more lettuce than shrimp. My burger was good, but not like OMG good. The fries and tots were warm, but not hot. It seems like the food is hammered out with the quickness and may have some food in readiness for the rush. It was quite busy and the servers were on top of it. Now the prices. I may be out of touch, but my burger was $22 with the "upgraded" waffle fries (burger price was not on specials menu.) We both had one $7-$8 drinks and the bill with tip was $70+. I must be out of touch with pricing, but yo mama if I am going to pay that again for a couple of average meals. 3.5 is my rating, because it is an organized machine and very efficient. Joe Mama food is just an average Mama. Culvers is better IMO. read more

We stopped in around 8pm on a Friday and were seated right away out on their patio. Very casual, relaxed vibes, and the weather was perfect to be outside. Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered the prime rib dip with tots and the big bang black bean burger with haystack onions. Our food was brought out REALLY quickly. The only issue was the haystack onions probably came out of the fryer a little too soon, so they were soggy. But overall the food was hot and very good - very generous portions. Bonus points for having 3 NA beer options on the menu! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It almost an hour drive from home but 1000% worth it. Everything we've ever had was delicious. But what makes it worth the drive to me is the unique specials. There's the Mac of the week which is what usually gets me as well as a burger of the week. I haven't found anywhere else that has anything like their Macs, including the Munch Mac for the week of 4-20...so good and so much food I took home enough for a whole second meal. read more

I'm really disappointed in this place - - THAT IT ISN'T CLOSER TO MY HOUSE. For bar food, it is exceptional. Been here several times and it has always been very good. We arrived at 5:30 on a Monday and it was busy. Got a table right away, with menu and our drink order. The server did an excellent job with helping us out and getting our orders. We ordered the cheese curds to get started. Then ordered a couple of the specials, Chicken Wonton Salad, and Thanksgiving Sandwich (Turkey, Dressing and Mashed Potatoes), and a Portobello Swiss Burger. Stopped in one night for a later supper. Ordered boneless wings and what I received was chicken nuggets. These must have been sitting there for a while due to how hardnest! I couldn't eat them. I tried to get a drink at the bar but was ignored multiple times and when I did get the bartenders attention- it appeared to be too much work to wait on me. Won't be going back! read more

Joe Mama's is a fam favorite. There is something for everyone from their famous mac n cheese, to burgers, pizza, ribs - good American food. The food is fresh and so was the nice service. There was 6 of us and we were hungry so we ordered the truffle fries and avocado fries. The truffle fries were new to a few folks but very crisp and good flavor. The avocado were new to all and didn't really have flavor but came with a spicy sauce. We had to try but I think we'll skip next the avocado fries next time. We were so happy with all the main courses. A few of us ordered hay stack onion rings were a huge mound. Highly recommend and we will be back for family dinners. Enjoy read more

One of my favorite places! This bar has all the vibes needed for a dinner out. The bartenders are always so damn nice and work hard. It was a fall night and we sat outside and saw they also have a movie night outside. The best app menu ever. The Mac in the Mac bombs is so delicious and creamy, and the extra cheese sauce to dip them in is completely unnecessary till you realize they have the best cheese sauce... the other apps are packed with flavor and the corned beef in the Ruben rolls has no business being such great quality and is so worth it. I love a wedge salad, and they don't skimp on toppings and their ranch makes it perfect. read more

Great food. Portions are large so if you're not a big eater then you're either taking some home or would advise splitting it. Servers are always pleasant but it's often busy. Only gripe I would have is it's extremely loud inside. Hard to hold a conversation. When the weather is warmer I'd rather be outside. read more

Although their food is amazing and always offer new options throughout the year, their community involvement is beyond generous. Joe is one of the most kind hearted person who is always supported to his community, law enforcement, and Veterans Organization. If I could give this place more than 5 starts, I totally would. This place has a grasp on my like no other. I'm not sure if it's the staff, the food, or Joe that keeps me coming back. Everything about this place is just amazing. The staff is always kind and friendly, the food always blows me away with the creativity of flavors and the portion sizes, and of course the owner Joe. He can be seen serving tables or be behind the bar and makes sure that everyone is taken care of and is enjoying their time. I love coming here for their cheese curds and fish fry!! Cool bar and grill with a wide menu with something for everyone. They're mostly known for the sandwiches and macs and have weekly special flavors of each. Two reasons I removed stars: 1. We sat in the patio and it stunk like a septic tank. Not sure if this is common or a short-term issue, but they shouldn't seat tables outside if that's the case. 2. Their specials don't have prices listed, which wouldn't be an issue if they were within range of the rest of the menu. I got the special brisket Mac wrap and it was $23! Most of their sandwiches are $16, so it's fair to say it's beyond what I expected to pay. I'd probably come back if in the area to try a pizza or something else in the future, but hope they address these issues. read more

Being from the area you'd think I would have been to Joe Momma's before, but I hadn't. Every time I drive by the place is packed and I will admit that is what kept me away, but now that I have gone I simply must continue to return. I went twice in the last month, and I only order the special because...everything else you can get anytime! Both times I went I went at a time of day that would almost ensure a table right away, 5:00pm for dinner and 11:30am for lunch. We had to sit at the bar when we went for lunch but did not mind at all. The service was great both times! Helpful, patient, and your glass is never empty (unless you want it to be :) ). I cannot say enough about the staff, they are are going 110 mph all day long and do so with a smile on their faces. The inside is a bar and grill type atmosphere. Walk into the bar and the other side of the building is where the tables are. The only thing I don't love about it is waiting for a table, you'd have to be in the bar area and there will not be anywhere to sit. It is on the louder side because it is one open space, but i would expect that at a bar and grill. The FOOD, oh the food. Everything we have had was very good and the portion sizes will feed you for 2 to 3 meals so if you do not want leftovers I would recommend sharing. The Mac & Cheese is to die for. I have not had a bad one and for me it is 3 meals. CBR Mac is on the regular menu and my son ordered it, he loved it! I tried it as well and it was very good however, I love spice and was eating Napoleon Dynamite at the time and it was fantastic. I highly recommend you try Joe Momma's at least once...I know I cannot wait to go back in summer and sit outside in the sun to enjoy the food! Edit: Another week, another Mac & Cheese. First time here, was torn between a number of options including the fish fry, mac n cheese and brisket so I went with the special, a brisket and mac and cheese wrap. It was very good, filling, especially with the large side of tater tots. My friend got the bluegill fish fry (it was Friday), he liked that as well. I've been hearing how great Joe Mama's is. That their Mac n Cheese is the best. I finally got a chance to try the pulled pork and fried onions piled on top of their signature mac n cheese. With the BBQ sauce mixed in, it was delicious! I'm also a lover of dill pickles, so I really enjoyed the fried pickle appetizer. It really hit with its crispy, salty, savory flavors. Very good. Oh Mama, what a meal!! Joe Mamas is one of our all time favorite places. No meal ever disappoints and the portion sizes are very generous. They have such a unique menu which makes it so fun every time we go. I try and have something new each time, however my all time favs include: - hog heaven (if you're craving barbecue) - messy mama (if you're craving a unique sandwich) - any of the Mac and cheeses - Wings!! If you have a group don't go here. We had a group of 10 family members plus a baby celebrating after a dance recital. It was around 3pm they were pretty dead compared to other times, we asked for another table because they had us squeezed into two small tables. At the end of the meal, the bill comes and they won't split the bill but they will take multiple cards to pay for it.....then why can't you just split the bill...oh also they will take multiple cards but we are expected to do the math and tell them how much on each card. I mean if the customer has to do your job no wonder they don't leave tips and no wonder you won't split checks because you want to get paid for bad service instead of changing the service. This review was a 5 star from 2 years ago to be fair and the food is good but it's a terrible experience whenever we have brought groups. read more

Great bar/restaurant on Lake Five! We ate lunch here on a rainy Tuesday. We sat at the bar, bartender was great, very friendly! We started with cheese curds, they were pretty good! We had different options for dulling sauces, my husband picked marinara, I think their Ho-sauce would have been a better choice. I had the Mac n cheese, brisket, onion ring Tuesday taco special and had to take one whole taco to go. My husband had the beef tacos and was quite full himself. Between the two of us we had more than one helping of chips left. The portion of pico served is less than enough for the portion of chips given. We do love Joe mamas, great burgers but we tried the daily special juicy Lucy burger partly great but was missing the bacon on both of ours but was probably good thing as with each bite the Texas toast (instead of a bun) did not hold up, my husband had to eat with knife and fork, mine lasted little longer. I probably would not have bothered with a review but bit pricey for for not much more than one of their regular burgers ( which we really like)hesitant to try another special but will definitely be back for our usuals read more

We visited for dinner on a Monday at 5:30pm. There was no wait for a table but they will not seat you until your whole party has arrived. The place was full the whole time we were there, but tables seemed to turn over quickly enough. Service throughout the evening was great, our server was very friendly and the drinks and food came out quickly. The food was delicious - bar food perfected. We started with the Reuben Rolls to share, which were delicious. Three of us ordered the Monday wing special, a dozen traditional wings for $11.95 with a choice of two sauces. They did have boneless wings available as well. The wings were delicious, a good portion, and nicely cooked and sauced. We tried the Honey BBQ, Dill Pickle dry rub, Spicy Smokey BBQ dry rub, and the Mama's Sassy Sauce. I will say if you like spice, go for the top few on the list of options. The Mama's Sassy Sauce was spicy, but very reasonable. I enjoyed the other flavors but found myself wishing we had tried the couple most spicy ones! We love spicy food though - now we just have an excuse to go back. One of our friends ordered the crispy chicken wrap, which they said was really good too. For a couple of drinks each, four entrees, and an appetizer our bill was about $130, which seemed a little high for the location but I would say was worth it. If you are looking for delicious bar food in a very casual atmosphere this is a great option. If you are concerned about COVID this would not be a good place to go - not a mask in sight. We're local. My husband is a regular. I come in with him upon occasion. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat late on a Sunday. Had to sit at the far end of the bar because the Championship NFL game was on. The bartender was rather busy, but Danielle in the seating area went above and beyond getting us drinks and taking our food order. She came back a few times to check on us.
