Second time here and enjoyed it as much as the first time. Our server was great and had an excellent personality. The food was very good, severed hot, and had nice size portions. The Pub burger was outstanding. Mac and cheese patty plus sharp cheddar cheese and warm beer cheese sauce is perfect for a true Wisconsinite! The Prime Rib Dip was also excellent. The ambiance is warm and inviting to complement your experience.

Wife was here before and she said it was good, so off we went from Holy Hill. Seen the monthly/weekly special burger and it was right up my alley. Service was speedy and the food came out at a good clip. My wife had the Bang Bang shrimp wrap. It was more lettuce than shrimp. My burger was good, but not like OMG good. The fries and tots were warm, but not hot. It seems like the food is hammered out with the quickness and may have some food in readiness for the rush. It was quite busy and the servers were on top of it. Now the prices. I may be out of touch, but my burger was $22 with the "upgraded" waffle fries (burger price was not on specials menu.) We both had one $7-$8 drinks and the bill with tip was $70+. I must be out of touch with pricing, but yo mama if I am going to pay that again for a couple of average meals. 3.5 is my rating, because it is an organized machine and very efficient. Joe Mama food is just an average Mama. Culvers is better IMO.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It almost an hour drive from home but 1000% worth it. Everything we've ever had was delicious. But what makes it worth the drive to me is the unique specials. There's the Mac of the week which is what usually gets me as well as a burger of the week. I haven't found anywhere else that has anything like their Macs, including the Munch Mac for the week of 4-20...so good and so much food I took home enough for a whole second meal.

Always a great time at Joe Mamas. Tried the new truffle fries and they are really good! I swapped out the chips for haystacks with my wrap and holy moly was not expecting that large of a portion!! Plus the wrap itself is like two meals! The tots were also really good. Food is always fantastic here.

Joe Mama's is a fam favorite. There is something for everyone from their famous mac n cheese, to burgers, pizza, ribs - good American food. The food is fresh and so was the nice service. There was 6 of us and we were hungry so we ordered the truffle fries and avocado fries. The truffle fries were new to a few folks but very crisp and good flavor. The avocado were new to all and didn't really have flavor but came with a spicy sauce. We had to try but I think we'll skip next the avocado fries next time. We were so happy with all the main courses. A few of us ordered hay stack onion rings were a huge mound. Highly recommend and we will be back for family dinners. Enjoy

One of my favorite places! This bar has all the vibes needed for a dinner out. The bartenders are always so damn nice and work hard. It was a fall night and we sat outside and saw they also have a movie night outside. The best app menu ever. The Mac in the Mac bombs is so delicious and creamy, and the extra cheese sauce to dip them in is completely unnecessary till you realize they have the best cheese sauce... the other apps are packed with flavor and the corned beef in the Ruben rolls has no business being such great quality and is so worth it. I love a wedge salad, and they don't skimp on toppings and their ranch makes it perfect.

First time here…read more Food: It was a Friday evening, around 8:00, and we decided to try some of the fish specials. I ordered the Pan-Seared Walleye, and she chose the Lake Perch Fry. Since our entrées included access to the salad bar, we started there. The appearance of the salad bar was disappointing. I realize it was later in the evening, but there were literally salad bar fixings all over the place. Some items were mixed together, some had spilled onto the enclosure, and there was food on the floor as well. Much of what was offered looked like it had come straight out of a can. The walleye wasn't bad. However, the mixed vegetables were a pile of mush, and although I had requested the potato pancake be extra crispy, it was still undercooked in the middle. The perch fry was okay, but nothing special. For dessert, she ordered the Brandy Alexander, and I had the LemonBerry Cake. The Brandy Alexander was very good, while the LemonBerry Cake was mediocre. Service: Our server did a nice job getting us settled in. Water and drinks arrived promptly, and they were friendly and pleasant throughout the evening. However, they became involved in a lengthy conversation at another table, so getting our check took quite a while. Atmosphere: To be honest, the place looks a bit run-down and could probably benefit from some TLC. Since it was later in the evening, there weren't many other diners, and the restaurant was relatively quiet. The view of the lake through the windows is spectacular and makes it a great place to watch the sunset. I wish the food had been better. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we are likely to return to.

It is just so very good. I ordered the Panzanella Salad topped with brisket. The salad itself was excellent, and the addition of the brisket made it an outstanding choice. Our table shared an order of the Texas Twinkies. They were delicious, but definitely on the spicy side. In fact, some of us were literally in tears! So, know what you're getting. The others ordered the Mac & Cheese with BBQ Chicken, the Sloppy Joe, and the Double Smashburger. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but no one was raving about them...except me and the brisket. I tried the Smashburger and found it a bit underwhelming. The beef didn't have much flavor, and there wasn't enough char to create those delicious lacy edges that make a smashburger special. The side of haystack onion rings was very good: hot, flavorful, and generously portioned. Service: Our server was polite, but not especially friendly. Even though there were very few people in the restaurant, there were a couple of times when I had to flag them down for things like more water or another drink. A couple of our drinks, including a Bourbon Old Fashioned and a Bloody Mary, were served with an elaborate smoked presentation using a wooden smoke box. It's an interesting idea, but it felt a bit over the top. Atmosphere: I like the feel of the dining room. It's small and full of character. Our table in the corner was a tight fit, but once we were seated, it was comfortable enough. Tip: Get the brisket!

Second time here in the last couple of months…read more Food: As much as I love the history of this place, the beautiful woods surrounding it, and the charm of the building, I have been very disappointed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this second dinner was even worse than the first. The rice was undercooked, the short ribs were dry, and the scallops were gritty. I realize that, for some people, the Buy One, Get One promotion is a big draw. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.

Buckle up and keep your arms and hands inside this review…read more.. I was in town for a special occasion where my friends wanted to take me somewhere for a great steak dinner. One of my good friends was recommended F&H's, so that's where he choose to take me. First off the restaurant looks wonderful. Think country club, lodge, or your wealthy uncles house in the burbs...no complaints We arrived around 7pm on a Thursday night. I should have seen the red flags when we were first sat down. Red flag #1, the restaurant was somewhat empty for a dinner night. Red flag #2, the menu was a bit pricey, but understandable considering that this was supposed to be a premier steak house. Red flag #3, paper napkins and cheap silverware *think school cafeteria. When ordering, we should have picked up on the quality of what we were getting ourselves into was going to be low, when we learned that the $68 ribeye steak dinner, or any of the steak dinners were BOGO (Buy One Get One free). My friend ordered his steak well done (I know sacrilegious), and I had ordered mine medium...our steaks came out at the same time. The entrees were plentiful and picture worthy (I don't take pics of my food, I eat it!) I cut into my steak anticipating a soft, buttery bite and it was a little tough. I didn't give it much of a thought, I continued to slice through anticipating a more tender bite...nope. I tried another...nope. I tried a different side of the steak...nope. It actually got worse! I typically am not the kind of guest who complains, but in theory this was a $68 steak! This should have been tender to the knife, easy in the mouth, and full of flavor. The steak was one of the worse steaks I've had in a very long time! I couldn't hold back, so I mentioned something to the server. He was apologetic of my comments and immediately called one of the managers over to hopefully rectify the issue. The manager tried his best to defend the kitchen, and to justify that once in a while it happens, and guiltily offered to remake my meal, but stating, "well you know that it would take at least 15 minutes to remake"...I honestly was put off about the quality of the first one, and the look of my friends I was fine not eating. The manager then comes back and says, "well since these are BOGO, I won't be able to take it off the check...you'll still have to pay full price for the one"...so he then re-offered to have the kitchen remake the meal. I told him, "no thank you, I'm good", but then I thought to myself, NO! I had them make another meal to go for my friend to take home. In theory, the manager should have saved his offer, not wasted the time or food in remaking it. He should have discounted the one steak that my friend ended up eating, had just apologized, and have moved on. Now I've had a few days to ponder on it, and use the power of the internet to voice my experience. I have many friends and family who live in the area. I will spread my experience, and they will continue to spread what they had heard, and ultimately what could have been made right should have been done that night. Super easy fix...serve a delicious, well cooked piece of meat. Fix/Solve a guests/customers concern right away, no questions asked. Leave the guests/customers feeling satisfied, so that they leave happy, and the possibility to give you a second chance. My review won't prevent anyone from visiting your restaurant, but it will absolutely make them debate if it's worth the effort

My oldest liked his chicken strips and fries, but I don't know if he's come across chicken strips and fries that he doesn't like, so take that with a grain of salt. The hash browns were ok. They were just fried potato with no other flavor or add-in like onions. I added salt and pepper because they needed it. I got American cheese on the scrambled eggs and they were as you'd expect. The tenderloin was fine. Obviously not as good of a cut as New York strip or ribeye would have been. I ended up sharing a portion of it with my oldest and he ate it without complaints too.
