Stopped in with a group of 5 for a fish fry at 4:30 and were seated right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A beautiful view of the lake and nice interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A pleasant server took our drink orders. I had a brandy old fashioned that was good, but had no muddling or garnish. I ordered the perch with a potato pancake, which came with the salad bar. The salad bar had a nice variety of salad fixings and side salads and soups. I had the German potato salad which was excellent; just like Grandma used to make, and very good couscous tomato and blue cheese salad. I also had a cup of clam chowder that was ok; not a lot of clam. I received a large Serving of perch which was good, though the batter was a little tough; Couldn't cut it with a fork. Had to take a couple of pieces home so I had room for dessert. The potato pancake was good, as was the marble rye bread. My wife's baked cod had a creamy white sauce and was delicious. My carrot cake was awesome. So, overall very good and everyone was pleased with the experience.

Service was friendly & excellent from finding a seat for 2 without reservations, to waitress and table staff- [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice interior decor & large windows with picturesque view of Friess Lake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ( [[HIGHLIGHT]]patio closed due to mosquitos & bees[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]) I had the macadamia Nut encrusted grouper with zucchini & side of mushroom risotto ... plus spinach salad was tasty, warm, prompt & filling! My friend liked the hamburger and fries (very crisp, not greasy!) Thank you! Will be back ...

Celebrating my birthday at a new place for me. Ordered the calamari appetizer and unfortunately it wasn't very edible. It just tasted and looked like thin tiny specs. Didn't even take a pic as it was so disappointing. But then came the soup! Delicious and creamy chicken with gnocchi. Scallops over fresh spinach hit the spot as well as the filet melted like butter! Service was excellent and friendly as well as the bartender. Cordon bleu was perfectly stuffed with ham and cheese and sizable. Green verbs cooked to perfection with excellent seasoning.

I have been trying to stop in this establishment for 5 years. Life has made that challenging. Let's start with curb appeal? Beautiful! Now walking in the front door oh ahahah! Gorgeous! The bar decor fresh rich decor not over the top but very elegantly done. Dining room warm inviting freshly updated modern. A respectable wine list. Appetizers plenty of delicious options to choose from. We went with the Portabella mushroom. OMGGGG the cheese blend the breadcrumb crunch the freshness of the Portabella all blending in perfect harmony. Delicious! It is served on a platter of fresh spinach leaves. A perfect complement to all the flavors on the dish. I thought it was an old fashioned supper club but I guess I was wrong no relish tray. Warm rolls good with a very tasty pretzel after taste. Pizza soup extremely interesting never heard of it before but it takes soup to a whole new level try it youuuu will like it ! The Portabella mushroom appetizer is the perfect platter to blend with the pizza soup! So now for our main course. Saturday night prime rib for my wife very delicious not stringy fork tender better than most Saturday night specials but the twice baked potatoes over cooked dried out and my selection osso buco bone in so tender it falls off the bone before your fork even touches it and so delicious too with mashed potatoes and asparagus definitely the better of the two meals this evening A special thank you to our waitress Lauren this evening for her Exemplary, efficient high quality of service! We were definitely pleasantly surprised at the high quality, fair moderately priced menu, great atmosphere, high quality service. We definitely were not let down and will be back. Highly recommend this establishment. Bon appétit!!

How well can a person with a walker or cane navigate this restaurant? This diner would also be the driver therefore parking lot accessibility is very important.

There are only a couple of steps to the door as well as a ramp to access the door. There is plenty of of parking close to the restaurant.

Besides a strong preference for local non-chain eateries, I'm not coming all the way to Wisconsin and not getting cheese curds. Found this place on Yelp. Aaaaand.....I'm in love. The dark atmosphere and heavy, dark all-wood decor gives a vibe you can't find at any chain eatery. Our server, Bailey, was great at just simply interacting on a human level and making us out-of-towners feel welcome in what is obviously a locals hang-out. And yes, I got my cheese curds. But the star of the night was the beer cheese burger. Quite honestly one of the best, if not THE best burger I've ever had. Get one. You NEED this in your life. Trust me.

I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!

Unfortunately, this second dinner was even worse than the first. The rice was undercooked, the short ribs were dry, and the scallops were gritty. I realize that, for some people, the Buy One, Get One promotion is a big draw. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.

Buckle up and keep your arms and hands inside this review…read more.. I was in town for a special occasion where my friends wanted to take me somewhere for a great steak dinner. One of my good friends was recommended F&H's, so that's where he choose to take me. First off the restaurant looks wonderful. Think country club, lodge, or your wealthy uncles house in the burbs...no complaints We arrived around 7pm on a Thursday night. I should have seen the red flags when we were first sat down. Red flag #1, the restaurant was somewhat empty for a dinner night. Red flag #2, the menu was a bit pricey, but understandable considering that this was supposed to be a premier steak house. Red flag #3, paper napkins and cheap silverware *think school cafeteria. When ordering, we should have picked up on the quality of what we were getting ourselves into was going to be low, when we learned that the $68 ribeye steak dinner, or any of the steak dinners were BOGO (Buy One Get One free). My friend ordered his steak well done (I know sacrilegious), and I had ordered mine medium...our steaks came out at the same time. The entrees were plentiful and picture worthy (I don't take pics of my food, I eat it!) I cut into my steak anticipating a soft, buttery bite and it was a little tough. I didn't give it much of a thought, I continued to slice through anticipating a more tender bite...nope. I tried another...nope. I tried a different side of the steak...nope. It actually got worse! I typically am not the kind of guest who complains, but in theory this was a $68 steak! This should have been tender to the knife, easy in the mouth, and full of flavor. The steak was one of the worse steaks I've had in a very long time! I couldn't hold back, so I mentioned something to the server. He was apologetic of my comments and immediately called one of the managers over to hopefully rectify the issue. The manager tried his best to defend the kitchen, and to justify that once in a while it happens, and guiltily offered to remake my meal, but stating, "well you know that it would take at least 15 minutes to remake"...I honestly was put off about the quality of the first one, and the look of my friends I was fine not eating. The manager then comes back and says, "well since these are BOGO, I won't be able to take it off the check...you'll still have to pay full price for the one"...so he then re-offered to have the kitchen remake the meal. I told him, "no thank you, I'm good", but then I thought to myself, NO! I had them make another meal to go for my friend to take home. In theory, the manager should have saved his offer, not wasted the time or food in remaking it. He should have discounted the one steak that my friend ended up eating, had just apologized, and have moved on. Now I've had a few days to ponder on it, and use the power of the internet to voice my experience. I have many friends and family who live in the area. I will spread my experience, and they will continue to spread what they had heard, and ultimately what could have been made right should have been done that night. Super easy fix...serve a delicious, well cooked piece of meat. Fix/Solve a guests/customers concern right away, no questions asked. Leave the guests/customers feeling satisfied, so that they leave happy, and the possibility to give you a second chance. My review won't prevent anyone from visiting your restaurant, but it will absolutely make them debate if it's worth the effort

Decent size parking lot available for diners! This spot is a bit rurally located, but a treasure in the rough. The bartender was friendly and conversational, yet kept his distance when not needed! The Old Fashioned menu was large, with unique spins on the classic Brandy-forward drink in this neck of the woods! I went with the Haunted Brothel, which had a lovely nuance of chamomile tea and ginger beer to give it a distinct taste! I'd absolutely go back to try another one of the many offerings on the menu!

They have a robust old fashioned menu--all made the Wisconsin style. We ordered the barrel aged old fashioned and asked if it could be made in the classic style (and specified without soda). Not a huge deal and we did enjoy but a word of warning to those who favor a classic old fashioned with no wash--might have a hard time with that here. For our second cocktail, we got Manhattans which were better! For an appetizer, we were waffling between the spinach artichoke dip and the brussels sprouts. Our server recommended the spinach artichoke dip so we went with that. The dip was flavorful and the tortilla chips are house made. It was good! For my main, I got their eggplant parm, which was ample, saucy, and served on a bed of pasta. I definitely couldn't eat it all in one sitting. It was delicious. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and inviting. Bryant's is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding or small celebration, and having the outdoor seating area open gave guests another beautiful space to gather and enjoy the evening. The food was absolutely outstanding. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the appetizers - especially the incredible seafood and cream cheese appetizer with sweet chili sauce - and everything from the creamy risotto to the stuffed chicken was delicious and beautifully prepared. It was one of those meals people were still talking about long after dinner was over. What made the evening especially memorable, though, was the hospitality. Everyone was genuinely kind, friendly, and personable, making us feel less like customers and more like family. The owner was so gracious and even shared how much he appreciated my dad, which meant a great deal to our family.
