Arrived early for reservation. Bartender was gracious and attentive and funny. Got seated prior to our reservation time. This was our second time here. Service was attentive both times. Ordered the almondine trout special and beef tenderloin. We were given last night's dark rye bread instead of the warm fresh baked white bread that usually comes with dinners. That's what we were given last time. Everyone else in the room had the thick white bread. We were given store bought white bread when I asked for the fresh bread. When we asked for the homemade bread, we were told by our server that "the menu just says bread" and we had bread. So we let it go. Note that the menu says "bakery bread". I guess all bread is baked in a bakery. But don't treat diners disparately. Not a good look. If you're out of it, just tell me and I will completely understand. Trout was okay. Veggies were a bit undercooked. The mushroom soup was okay but almost too thick to be called soup and lacked depth of flavor. Salad was good. One issue was that both soup and salad plates were covered in dark rye croutons. Many people dislike the very strong flavor of dark rye. Tenderloin was ordered medium and butterflied but was a bit tough and served slightly overcooked. Onions and mushrooms were good. Wine seemed overpriced for house wine at over $8 a glass compared with food price point. Live music started at 6:30. It was a man with electronic gear and preprogrammed music playing as he sang along. Karaoke style. No specific genre. No instruments. All different types of songs from many different eras. Might give it another try. Might not.

This place is an absolute madhouse on a Friday night. It is very chaotic. There are people scattered in the entrance and on the patio. You have to walk in and go past the bar to check in with the hostess. The bar is packed so you can't even order a drink at the bar to take and wait. The tables on the patio are first come first serve and a waiter comes around out there. We waited an hour for our table. The fish fry is good but not worth the wait. Food is decent but again not worth the wait.

Had lunch ordered perch and cod combo and it was fantastic. Fish, fries and coleslaw were great. Service was as you would expect, very good.

This was our first visit, on a Thursday night. The menu is very different depending on the day of the week so be aware of this and check their online menu when you make your reservation. It also appears they offer a fish fry on more days than just Friday. The location is very secluded, nestled in beautiful trees and a minor view of Pewaukee Lake, and has both inside and outside tables. Unfortunately, we asked for an outside table on this warm night but were told they didn't have the staff to make it happen. On our way out there were people dining outside so that was disappointing. Our server Michelle and busser Tea did a great job and even tho they were both super busy we were well taken care of. Being a Thursday night we had some interesting options including the specials. We decided to try the Ribeye with veggies and a baked potato and it was delicious and a good size serving. We also ordered the full rack of Ribs and that was different. They were well cooked but the sauce was more tomato paste than BBQ sauce taste. While it wasn't bad it was not as visually pleasing and did not taste as expected. This is a personal preference so if you like a hardy BBQ sauce please ask for a taste test before ordering to make sure it will meet your expectations. (The special Beef Ribs roasted had a different and non-BBQ sauce, so be sure to test that one also. It didn't interest me so I avoided it.) The french fries served were all over the place in being cooked, but that's because they were all different sizes from tiny and crispy to large and limp. There is a large drink menu to choose from and the servings are nice. However, we were too full to have one of the tasty-looking desserts. All in all our bill for two women was just over $103 before tips. Not bad for the amount of food served but each dish was a bit of a surprise. We will probably try again because the service was excellent and there are more items we would like to try. But it was not a night to remember, just one to eat out and take home leftovers. The decor is typical supper club style but somehow the room is not too dark. And even tho they have just celebrated their 95th Anniversary, the atmosphere is not old, but more traditional. Lots of windows is nice. One thing to know is that the staff has been here forever; our server for over 25 years, and a long-standing staff speaks well of the owners/management. Many generations have held this Club and you can tell they care. Give it a try and judge for yourself. I think it is worth it.

Was in the area and my cousin invited me for a Friday Fish Fry. The setting is back off the road but has plenty of parking. Friday nights appear to be extremely popular so expect a wait, which we did not mind as we had not seen each other in about 4 years so it gave us time to catch up (noise level allowed this with now problem). We were a party of 8, and when we were brought to the table it was set with the cole slaw (VERY GOOD vinegar based) and bread. Our server was prompt and always Che king if any refills were needed. I was surprised to see Du l Wings on the appetizer menu, and being a lover of wings, we tried them. These were perfect! They had a wonderful crunch to them and served with a sweet chili sauce. I got the cod fish fry, which was amazing. The fish batter was not overwhelming like many places do. Seasoned perfectly. The ambience was true Wisconsin with the winter sports items all over. I especially liked the vintage bars signs hanging around the bar. I definitely recommend stopping by if in the area.

When the restaurant is busy we get carry out. Most times they can have your food ready in 10-20 mins for pick up.

I never thought I'd be reviewing a restaurant that's built into a hotel. The fare at such places…read moreis, in my mind, created to appease hungry/lazy travelers who don't want to shell out the extra cash for a cab/rental and are just looking to knock off a meal without too much effort. One would think, then, that the quality of food would reflect this "well, I guess I should eat something," attitude, but then one would think wrong. Coppers is built into the Country Springs Hotel and is visible immediately upon entering the lobby. It has the feeling of a classic pub and immediately lives up to the atmosphere with a menu boasting exactly 100 different varieties of bottled beer. This was a hugely welcome surprise to my group, all of whom hailed from Denver and appreciated their microbrews. We all ordered something local to Wisconsin (which were helpfully written in a different color of font) and awaited our food. One of the first things we all noted was how remarkably knowledgeable our server was. Not only did he take our orders without writing a single thing down, but he knew every single beer on their list and which number it was - both in numerical order and in terms of popularity. He was a complete asset to our group of Wisconsin beer newbies, and immediately set the tone for a solid meal. We knew it wouldn't be too long before we were eating dinner (we had all arrived on a late afternoon flight), and so we limited our meal to some shared appetizers, a burger, and the french onion soup. The nachos started us off, and started us off well. Piled high with chips and cheese alike, the plate rewarded us handsomely for replacing a meal with an appetizer. We only ordered cheese on the first round, but would later try - and enjoy - the chicken. Guac and cheese accompany the appetizer in a chip bowl, and round the whole thing off nicely. I only tried a little of the french onion soup, but was just as impressed with the quality as I was with the nachos. Coppers does not phone in any of the ingredients, and you're given a hearty, warm soup perfect for battling Wisconsin winters. The burger was the least impressive of the three dishes, but only because it was very simple and had few frills to separate it from the burger herd. They cut it and all the ingredients precisely in half on hearing we were sharing it, and I really have no complaints save the bottom bun was a little soggy. As we continued to eat our meal, other members of our group (and a huge group it was as we were all going to the same wedding) showed up to join us in a drink. Our waiter tirelessly combined tables, took orders, and continued giving recommendations to the latest additions. And then he did it again when a few more people showed up. And again. And AGAIN. Soon we had grown from a party of four to about a party of 16, spread across 5 tables pushed together. Rather than becoming harried through these constant expansions, the staff easily accommodated us all. They even went so far as to give us a few complimentary beers to sample when they learned of our interest in local brews. The whole experience turned from what should have been a routine "let's just get some food into our systems" into a raucous reunion, a transition made possible entirely by the staff and menu. If you find yourself in the area, consider dropping by. If you're staying at the Country Springs Hotel and have a mind to try some new beer, DEFINITELY stop by. As a final note, I debated between the single and double dollar price range. In truth, a lot of the items offered at lunch were just shy of $10...but if you're going to take my advice and pick up a beer with your meal, expect to push closer to the $20 range!

Good food, great beer selection. Bartender was so busy on his phone he couldn't take care of…read morecustomers. He actually sat at the bar while customers were at the bar instead of being behind the bar and communicating with patrons. Seemed like customers were an inconvenience to him. I honestly felt like an inconvenience as a customer. Not sure why they pay him to play games on his phone!
