    - delicious food, good service, cozy ambiance - no…read morereservation can be made for brunch - excited to come back for a sweet option Happy to get a seat at this tasty diner! With their rotating menu items and weekly specials, I am definitely coming back after having such a flavorful and fun meal. Waited about an hour on a busy Saturday since one of their locations was closed, but the food was well worth it! I had gotten Wolfie's Patty Melt and it was filling and a great start to our morning. The bread was nice and crisp from the buttered griddle and held everything together perfectly. Inside the crunchy sandwich were 2 seasoned patties and enough gooey cheese to make it rich, but not heavy. To contrast the fatty flavor, there was a slightly tart bacon jam and onions that were truly caramelized. Overall really tasty sandwich with no notes! In the description it says there is a sauce, but I could only taste the onions and jam, so I'm not too sure what it added. The side of fries was ok, but I think some crispy thinner ones would have been better with the sandwich. For my drink, I got a hot Ube Chai. The chai was strong and had a spicy kick to each sip. Already a subtle flavor, the ube was not very strong with the chai mixed in, but still added fun color. The design on top was also very cute and added another dink of sweetness. My girlfriend got the Spamelette for her main and it was pretty pretty and delish. Not too often that you see Spam, but when you see it, trust it earned its spot on a menu! The big chunks of Spam and accouterments gave each bite a pleasant feel and one full of flavor. I was skeptic of the mushrooms at first, but they were seasoned well and added another kind of texture to the meal. I think my favorite toppings were the drizzle of kewpie and the green onions... not sure if it counts as a topping, but the tamari glaze of the spam made it delish. Taste aside, it was also a pretty meal! Pook got a Hot Chocolate for her drink. Nice simple drink for the cold weather. We would have liked to see some more chocolatey flavor, but still a good milky drink for the meal. This drink also had a fun design and nice cream top, yum yum yum. This was such a tasty meal and they have lots of other options that I was debating on getting - I guess we gotta come back! It was a really cold day, but the cozy atmosphere and hot drinks with our food made it a great experience. We had originally planned on going to the Downtown location, but it was closed because of heating problems. I wish there was a bit more uniformity between their menus, especially since the Brewers Hill menu has different items and is smaller, so it feels like there is quite the difference between locations. Going off of that point, I am excited to try their dinner menu when it releases and see how it compares to when we ate Downtown! I am not sure how the places differ, but I felt the food here to be more flavorful than the other location. In addition to the dining area, they had a small shop and coffee area in the back while you waited for your table. It was fun and made time pass faster, but I feel as though that area is also perfect for dining. Maybe there are specific reasons why it isn't, but just a thought. Hope to come back soon!

Our server was fun to chat with and definitely made the experience a bit more interesting. I stopped in for brunch on a Wednesday around 11am and snagged the last open table. Ordered the Steak & Eggs and was impressed by the value; healthy portion, reasonable price. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak with chimichurri, crispy-runny eggs, and excellent potatoes holding it all together. The food is thoughtfully plated without trying too hard, and the prices feel fair for the quality. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been. Another lil Milwaukee gem!

Food: Chick on Fire -- Have you ever taken a bite of something and couldn't even describe the flavor because it was just that good? That's what I'm always chasing when I try a new restaurant, and I finally found it. This sandwich is an explosion of flavor. The combination of lemongrass, slaw, and whatever magic they put into it creates one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. And don't worry, Wisconsin... it's not spicy. After tasting this, I'd order anything they put on their specials menu without hesitation. I even had to grab a photo with the chefs in the background. Well done, team! Service: Rin and her team were absolutely wonderful. I was in town for a funeral, and everyone showed genuine kindness and compassion. They offered their condolences, made great conversation, and somehow turned a difficult day into a much brighter one. Hospitality like that is rare. Ambiance: Exactly what a brunch spot should be--clean, cozy, welcoming, and full of character. I especially loved the EL bar. It's the kind of place you immediately feel comfortable in. This has officially earned a permanent spot on my list. Whether you're local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here. You won't regret it.

It was an interesting take on a BLT and was SO GOOD. Came with roasted potatoes. My son ordered the pancakes and also enjoyed them. The cold station had a great variety of hummus and dips served with pita bread--my son loved it so much he ate thirteen pieces of pita! I'm usually not a big fan of raw oysters, but they looked so fresh that I decided to try them... and I couldn't stop eating them. They also had traditional Easter red eggs and egg salad, which was a nice touch. The hot food selection was very impressive as well, including freshly carved prime rib and ham, roasted lamb leg, and sausages. There were also breakfast favorites like French toast and scrambled eggs. Desserts were excellent too--cakes, fresh fruits, and yogurt rounded out the meal perfectly. The setting is just as lovely--the restaurant has an outdoor patio that would be especially enjoyable in the summer, with a great view of the city skyline. It's also a perfect spot for photos. On top of all that, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a perfect dining experience and a memorable Easter celebration.

I got the Manhattan off their specialty menu and my husband got their autumn barrel Manhattan. After trying both--highly recommend the one off their specialty menu. It was definitely superior quality. It's served over a block of ice so if you want it up, you may want to mention that when ordering. It tasted more like a classic old fashioned than a Manhattan but I'm not complaining because I love classic bourbon old fashioned cocktails as well. For a starter we got their much raved about bang bang shrimp. It came on a bed of greens and was good! For my dinner I got their seasonal chicken and dumpling soup and a side salad. Both were solid. The salad was definitely more ample than I was expecting. My husband got some sort of salmon alfredo pasta dish that came with roasted asparagus mixed in. I had a bite and he ordered well--it was decadently buttery and delicious. The service was super kind throughout our stay. Our server checked in on us regularly without being overbearing. Get to it!

This was at lunchtime when it wasn't very busy at all. I started to think they had actually forgotten about the order. There was also a pesky fly that just wouldn't go away. When the food came, it was pretty good. The thin crust pizza was very tasty and loaded with toppings. And the Greek salad, which came well after the pizza, was great. Fresh lettuce, Kalamata olives, tomato, feta and abundant Greek dressing on the side. We ordered the $4.95 protein-shrimp on top. Asked for them grilled and they came out beautifully. Correctly grilled and tasty. Large jumbo shrimp, a whopping 9 of them on top of a small salad. I'm guessing they may have been frozen, which is why it took so long to make the food. And perhaps they gave us extra since we waited so long. But the add on process is the same for either a small or large salad, so that could play a role. Overall, the food was tasty but the wait for it (despite ordering almost immediately upon being seated) was very long. Don't risk it if you're in a rush to get back to work! Will give it another try when we have much time to spare.

I ordered a cheese burger with an extra patty and sour cream & chive fries, my wife got a cheeseburger with tater tots, my oldest kid got a cheeseburger with regular fries, and my youngest got a grilled cheese with regular fries. We also got cheese sticks and six wings with Jamaican jerk sauce. The cheese sticks weren't huge, but we got eight in the order. The cheese was on the sharp side, so clearly not mozzarella. They were fine, but not my favorite. I vastly prefer rub to sauce on wings, but I'm a sucker for Jamaican jerk flavor so I wanted to try them anyway. There was plenty of heat and some Jamaican jerk flavor, but like the cheese sticks, they weren't my favorite. I wouldn't get this flavor again if I get the wings again at all. The kids grilled cheese looks like it was a good size. He ate it without complaints. The tater tots, sour cream & chive fries, and regular fries were all good. The regular fries seemed like they might have been lightly battered and were my preference of the three. We all thought the burgers were great. The patties seemed like they were hand formed and not out of a frozen box, which is very appreciated. I thought the seasoning tasted like McCormick Montreal steak seasoning, which is fine in small amounts, but can overpower a burger real quick if overseasoned. The Monday deal is $4 for a quarter pound burger and you can add a side for $4 more. Make sure you specify that when you order and don't just say "a cheeseburger with fries" because they will charge you the regular menu price for a larger burger with fries. My wife and oldest son didn't think to specify the $4 burger and the server didn't clarify which size they wanted, so we didn't discover the mix up until we got the bill and it was $10 more than expected. They were able to adjust it for us, so it all worked out in the end. I look forward to coming again on Mondays for the $4 burger deal and checking out their other menu items and specials, especially the Friday fish fry.
