Though there was a wait, the wait was much shorter than expected. The food and drinks came out quickly and were all delicious and unique.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place doesn't look like much from the outside. The signage is minimal, so it'd be easy to miss if you're driving by quickly (or in our case, if delivery trucks are blocking the view of the front door).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In fact, I had to call after we parked, because I wasn't sure we were in the right place. Thankfully, we were. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a rather small space, with a U-shaped bar and tables for two lining the windowed walls. However, there is additional seating beyond the kitchen and up a small flight of stairs, just past the quaint the little store full of cute little finds (jewelry, purses, fragrances, hats and more). That seating includes larger tables inside a glass enclosure and and an outdoor patio with a few round tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the 16 oz Candy Capped Mushroom Latte and the Beltch sandwich. The Latte, though could have been a little hotter, was delicious. I drink mushroom coffee daily, so was excited to find a breakfast place that offered it. The Beltch was a generous size and incredibly flavorsome, with the sambal aioli adding a nice bite of spice to this classic breakfast sandwich. I chose a side of sweet potatoes, which were tender and also seasoned very well. However, I think they could get away with downsizing the portion a bit. My husband ordered a latte and the Big Wolf Breakfast. The bacon (which delectable smell permeated the restaurant) was made perfectly crispy for him. The "Tavern Potatoes" were unlike any traditional potato side I've seen. Think small, smashed and seasoned potatoes fried up on the grill. Very different, but very good! I'd been wanting to try this place out for a while, and I was happy to have the chance. The menu is full of unexpected, creative and sophisticated tastes worth exploring.
This is the best brunch or lunch you will ever have. I almost always get the Wolfundido but today I got the brisket Birria brunch wrap and it changed my life. I got a bloody that I was able to sub out vodka with mezcal for no extra charge which was incredible. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is very cute and aesthetically pleasing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food comes out in an average amount of time but there is always a SUPER long wait to get a table (1 hour typically) so make sure you put your name in early and then circle back for when you want to eat!

You have to find street parking and wait in your car until they text you when your table is ready. Unfortunately, we were out of towners and had no car and it was raining.... The service was stupendous! Very attentive and welcoming. The coffee and food was delicious! A little pricey but definitely good food. I would go back to try other dishes.
Finally made it to Uncle Wolfie's for brunch! We tried the Wolfundido, the Lil' Phatty, Kale Caesar with chicken, a johnny cake for the table, a hibby dibby, (they had a nice selection of NA beverage options), and a maple latte. Everything was very good - there were quite a few things on the menu we were debating on ordering! They were able to accommodate our gluten-free diner without any issues . [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is smaller, so visiting with a smaller party (4 or less) is recommended.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is no space to wait in front - you are directed to wait in the back where you can peruse Orange + Blue Co or sit in the enclosed patio space and order a drink while you wait.
Can't believe it took me so long to try Uncle Wolfies. We came on a weekday around 11am to avoid the long weekend wait. We were seated immediately. Staff was great, very helpful and had good recommendations. We were very well taken care of. I loved my breakfast, the Wolfundido. Very flavorful and filling. I got the beer cheese on the side, and glad I did. I think the dish would've felt heavy with the cheese. Can't wait to come back and try something new.
Visited Uncle Wolfie's original location in Brewer's Hill for a Saturday Brunch! I called 30 min before arriving and was told there was no wait but they were starting to fill up; there may be a max 20 minute wait by the time we got there. By the time I arrived at 10am, there was already a 30-45 minute wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Parking is a lot easier and free at this location but the inside is extremely small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One can wait in a back shopping area and preorder a coffee, tea, or drink as you wait. We did wait the full 45 minutes but used the time to decide on what we wanted to order. Once we sat down, we ordered a chai latte and brown butter miso latte to enjoy. The brown butter miso was the perfect flavor for a cold, snowy Saturday. All their syrups are made in house and are fresh. My husband's chai also tasted fresh and house made. It was a good balance of sweet and spiced yet very light. For food, we got the Biscuits and Gravy & Wolfie's Breakfast Poutine. The food actually came to the table before the lattes as they only had one barista on staff. I did see our lattes sit on the counter for about three minutes before we asked and they were brought to our table. Either way, their food flavors were great! The poutine had so much depth of flavor with each component added. The biscuits and gravy also have a flavor unlike any other type I've tried: sweet yet savory. Overall, Uncle Wolfie's continues to have very impressive food offerings and food quality. I prefer the aesthetics of their downtown location over brewer's hill. While our items ordered were great, the service was sadly a but lacking this visit. Either way, I highly recommend giving them a try! Tip: Uncle Wolfies does not take reservations nor have an online wait list to join. Come early to avoid long wait times and limit the amount of people you come with to 4 or less.
Great food as always. My order was not what I asked for but they did come back with some of the correct order later. Coffee was good! Potatoes were well cooked and very salty! Great/sweet pancake.

We've been here a few times and I'm finally reviewing it! This is seriously one of the best places to get breakfast in Milwaukee. There has always been a wait when we get there, but they help make the time fly by making it easy to order drinks while you wait. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. They were as prompt as can be without being too much so. The serve great coffee and also have some really nice cocktails such as Bloody Marys. This last time, I got the special, an egg sandwich that had a crab cake on it. Plus smashed potatoes. Excellent all around. Honestly, couldn't come up with a negative on Uncle Wolfie's if I tried.
Uncle Wolfie's, hyped and....rightly so. Inside it's a small seating area so large parties might not get seated easily, service was very friendly from the hostess who moved us to a bigger table to accommodate our son (high chair) to the server who answered all my questions well. It's a dimly lit (sunlight is king) atmosphere but is great for breakfast. I ordered the Brunch Burger. What a masterpiece. Perfectly toasted bun, absolutely impeccable smash patties and a glorious onion jam combined for sweet, some heat and the pickle for the perfect amount of acid. The potatoes were fantastic. Ughhhh sooo good! I can't to come back :) we went on a Thursday around noon and only waited 20 min. They have a cute little waiting area with a store you can shop in. Everyone I was with loved their meal! The service was excellent as well!
This place reminds me of a brunch spot in Arizona called Prep & Pastry, and it's one of my favorite brunch spots in Arizona. The experience was pretty good from the get-go and we were seated pretty quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decorations are very contemporary and I will remember them for a while![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

He went early to get our bake on the list and they were spot on with the wait time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We did sit outside which I think sped things up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all ordered an assortment of coffee beverages. There are so many great options on the menu and I was torn between three. Luckily one of my friends was torn between two of the same ones I was looking at so she split them. The spam omelette was delicious and paired well with the Johnny cakes. The Johnny cakes are massive and we ended up both taking leftovers home of that. The orange blossom syrup was really good with it. Our server was attentive and stayed on top of water refills which was appreciated as it was a warm day to be eating outside. Gave Uncle Wolfie's a shot while back home in Milwaukee and it gets the stamp of approval. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is calm, honest, and easygoing. They clearly care, but nothing feels forced.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was fun to chat with and definitely made the experience a bit more interesting. I stopped in for brunch on a Wednesday around 11am and snagged the last open table. Ordered the Steak & Eggs and was impressed by the value; healthy portion, reasonable price. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak with chimichurri, crispy-runny eggs, and excellent potatoes holding it all together. The food is thoughtfully plated without trying too hard, and the prices feel fair for the quality. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been. Another lil Milwaukee gem! read more

We finally made it to Uncle Wolfie's in Milwaukee for brunch after having it on our list for a while, and overall it was a solid experience with a few trade-offs. When we arrived (about two hours after opening), we were quoted a 1.5-hour wait. Not totally surprising given how popular the spot is, but definitely something to plan around. We've skipped it in the past because we were too hungry to wait, and honestly, that might still be a factor for future visits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space itself is cozy and on the smaller side, with the bar area taking up a good portion of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a lively atmosphere, but because it was completely packed and music was playing, it got pretty loud, loud enough that it was hard to hear each other at times, and even a bit difficult to catch everything our server was saying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said, the waitstaff were friendly and doing their best in a busy environment. As for the food and drinks, definitely the highlight. We ordered an ube latte and a chai, both of which were enjoyable. The standout dish was the breakfast burger with bacon jam. It was fantastic, rich, messy, and indulgent in the best way. The bacon jam added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory, greasy goodness, and I was completely on board with it. We also ordered a few of their breakfast plates, which came with massive smashed potatoes. This place remains a fantastic breakfast/brunch restaurant with super friendly service. I got the breakfast poutine ($18), and it was sooo heavy & filling. It came with a bunch of fries, beer cheese, sausage gravy, bacon bits, pickled red onions, cheese curds, and a sunny side up egg on top. It was a sloppy, delicious mess of a dish. I saw that there was an option to add fried chicken to the breakfast poutine, which I could not imagine doing because the breakfast poutine as it is left me STUFFED. The server was super friendly and attentive. He came to check up on us a few times, and he always made sure that our glasses of water were filled to the top. read more

Hello, This is a very unique place. In a trendy part of town. The place is quite small, but everyone seemed to enjoy the foods served. Along with their cappuccino's, latte's, espresso's and or house made libations. They place is not to quiet but bustling. They staff and had their nice friendly way of paying attention to details. The lady behind the bar was even weighing the ground beans for espresso's, taking a little off and or onto the freshly ground beans to make the perfect drink. My SPAM omelette was great as well. I would say go if u have a chance. Good stuff and well done! I will be back! read more

It's been a minuteee since I've visited Wolfie's, and this was a delightful return! My friend and I went on a Thursday late morning for brunch, and per usual there was a bit of a wait. Fear not though, because it's always nice to browse Orange & Blue - their small boutique attached to the restaurant. After about 20 minutes we were sat and greeted by our friendly waitress. I love their cafe drinks, and went for a match latte this time around. My friend has the brown butter miso iced latte from their seasonal drink menu and loved it. But the food, oh boy..! I'm not one to normally order sweet breakfast items but we decided to get the paw paw french toast to share. This dish is immaculate. Beautiful. And so darn tasty. I mean how could you not enjoy stuffed french toast. It was smothered in custard, maple sugar, and toasted coconut. Also some kind of cookie crumble? Damn. Needless to say we couldn't finish it, esepcially as we'd ordered two other dishes. I loved the california steak & egg burrito also. A solid menu item to share because it's huge! House made hot sauce for dipping was perfect. Lastly was the breakfast poutine. Also huge! Stacked with house-cut fries and beer cheese, gravy, bacon bites, cheese curds, sunny side up egg, pickled onion anddd we added avocado. We were hungry, okay!? Date of visit: April 13, 2025 Our monthly bakery/brunch visit brought us to this bustling Riverwest spot, and while I loathe a wait (45 minutes before 9 a.m.), it was more or less worth it! If it's not too cold out you can use the patio heaters to stay warm as well, so keep that in mind if you don't catch a lucky break and get in quickly. Also, they will bring you a coffee outside while you wait to keep you warm. Our server, Jax, was fine, but definitely all business and was not interested in the witty banter and after we started ordering drinks remembered to tell us that they were out of several of the drink options which scrambled our order a bit but we were able to recover. I switched to a drip coffee since my preferred drink was out and I really enjoyed the regular joe so I probably saved both money and calories this way. In the food department, I went with the Paw Paw French Toast which was both large and imposing, but I love a challenge. For the price I would have like a side of some kind of protein but as the dish was very good, I wasn't too disappointed. I had one of my husband's sausage patties from his Big Wolf Breakfast and it was very good and hopefully reheats well, too! read more

my friends and I were passing through Milwaukee and decided to stop by Uncle Wolfie's for some ramen. This ramen was life changing. it was SO delicious. I've included a picture of the soft boiled egg in all its perfection. Would definitely recommend this ramen to anyone in the area. The restaurant itself was super cute and casual. Phenomenal! 10/10! Visited Uncle Wolfie's for breakfast, it was bumping when we got there but we were able to get seated quickly at the bar. The staff was so friendly. For food, everything was so good. Zero complaints. We ordered the Ube Lemon Poppy French Toast which was DEVINE! My husband had the hash which he loved as well. And, of course, we had to get potatoes and bacon, both crispy! If you need breakfast in Milwaukee, this is your spot! read more
I had the Wolfundito. It's good. Not lacking on flavor. The beer cheese is the dominant flavor. At 18.00 and 2.00 per additional sauce I'd expect more chorizo. Hence the 3 stars. Shorting a key ingredient. Interesting place. Quaint. If you want to sit right away get there early. 'In your face politics' in the windows. Service was stand offish after showing up and the hostess told us to step back outside. Built a bridge and got over it. After going outside to find heaters on the sidewalk with other people waiting for the same thing. First question? Is it worth it? Spoke with a fine young man from New Jersey who was standing post while his parents and wife huddled in the car. Definitely worth it I was told. This spot is small, but very much big in taste and atmosphere. We came at little after noon so we sat right away and put in our food. It didn't take long for everything to come out and the staff were very welcoming and great with recommendations. The pricing is a little steep especially my California steak bowl (no steak) it was still $22 even without the steak which I thought was odd. None the less, the atmosphere and flavor was still remarkable so I def would give them a try. read more

After a few months of living in Milwaukee my wife and I finally made the plunge to try Uncle Wolfie's and let me tell you it was worth the hype. For a Sunday brunch there was a bit of a wait as they take no reservations but the wait was worth it. The crab cakes benedict was a hard hitter - super fresh, packed with real crab, not filler, and topped with a rich, perfectly balanced hollandaise. the paw paw french toast was something i've never heard of before, and it was unreal. Thick, soft, custardy slices with the tropical pawpaw flavor coming out without being too sweet. The cinnamon toast crunch on top added a nice touch as well. Service was attentive, friendly and relaxed despite it being a busy time for brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is very Milwaukee - homey, stylish, and a little eclectic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a spot in MKE to kick it for brunch, Uncle Wolfies is your spot, i'd go back for that french toast alone. read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot when visiting my daughter at school in Milwaukee. Service, food and ambiance are all amazing. I would just suggest getting there early since it's a smaller place, or you'll just have a bit of a wait. But 100% worth the wait! read more

This is the top brunch place that pops up on yelp. Wait was pretty long but food came out pretty quickly when we got seated. Inside is limited seating, the store in the back was nice to wait in. We all got different items but I ate mine so fast. Flavorful, and filling. Pancakes were huge and I liked how it could be a side. Took half of it home. Highly recommend Uncle Wolfie's. The food is great and the Service was delightful! Excellent customer service! We enjoyed our meals and definitely plan on taking some home. We sat at the counter which turned out to be the best for conversation with other diners, especially when three Bucks athletes came and sat next to us. The little shop in the back is delightful and well staffed with unique gift items. read more

Yes they do and everything we ordered was excellent
Do you accept reservations?
They'll put you on a waiting list but by no means do the honor anything they tell you for a wait time
Is Uncle Wolfie's kid friendly?
It's too busy usually for kids. Very noisy and probably sensory overload. I would take them to simple cafe.
