Waited about an hour on a busy Saturday since one of their locations was closed, but the food was well worth it! I had gotten Wolfie's Patty Melt and it was filling and a great start to our morning. The bread was nice and crisp from the buttered griddle and held everything together perfectly. Inside the crunchy sandwich were 2 seasoned patties and enough gooey cheese to make it rich, but not heavy. To contrast the fatty flavor, there was a slightly tart bacon jam and onions that were truly caramelized. Overall really tasty sandwich with no notes! In the description it says there is a sauce, but I could only taste the onions and jam, so I'm not too sure what it added. The side of fries was ok, but I think some crispy thinner ones would have been better with the sandwich. For my drink, I got a hot Ube Chai. The chai was strong and had a spicy kick to each sip. Already a subtle flavor, the ube was not very strong with the chai mixed in, but still added fun color. The design on top was also very cute and added another dink of sweetness. My girlfriend got the Spamelette for her main and it was pretty pretty and delish. Not too often that you see Spam, but when you see it, trust it earned its spot on a menu! The big chunks of Spam and accouterments gave each bite a pleasant feel and one full of flavor. I was skeptic of the mushrooms at first, but they were seasoned well and added another kind of texture to the meal. I think my favorite toppings were the drizzle of kewpie and the green onions... not sure if it counts as a topping, but the tamari glaze of the spam made it delish. Taste aside, it was also a pretty meal! Pook got a Hot Chocolate for her drink. Nice simple drink for the cold weather. We would have liked to see some more chocolatey flavor, but still a good milky drink for the meal. This drink also had a fun design and nice cream top, yum yum yum. This was such a tasty meal and they have lots of other options that I was debating on getting - I guess we gotta come back! It was a really cold day, but the cozy atmosphere and hot drinks with our food made it a great experience. We had originally planned on going to the Downtown location, but it was closed because of heating problems. I wish there was a bit more uniformity between their menus, especially since the Brewers Hill menu has different items and is smaller, so it feels like there is quite the difference between locations. Going off of that point, I am excited to try their dinner menu when it releases and see how it compares to when we ate Downtown! I am not sure how the places differ, but I felt the food here to be more flavorful than the other location. We've skipped it in the past because we were too hungry to wait, and honestly, that might still be a factor for future visits. The space itself is cozy and on the smaller side, with the bar area taking up a good portion of the restaurant. It has a lively atmosphere, but because it was completely packed and music was playing, it got pretty loud, loud enough that it was hard to hear each other at times, and even a bit difficult to catch everything our server was saying. That said, the waitstaff were friendly and doing their best in a busy environment. As for the food and drinks, definitely the highlight. We ordered an ube latte and a chai, both of which were enjoyable. The standout dish was the breakfast burger with bacon jam. It was fantastic, rich, messy, and indulgent in the best way. The bacon jam added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory, greasy goodness, and I was completely on board with it. We also ordered a few of their breakfast plates, which came with massive smashed potatoes. However, there is additional seating beyond the kitchen and up a small flight of stairs, just past the quaint the little store full of cute little finds (jewelry, purses, fragrances, hats and more). That seating includes larger tables inside a glass enclosure and and an outdoor patio with a few round tables and chairs. I ordered the 16 oz Candy Capped Mushroom Latte and the Beltch sandwich. The Latte, though could have been a little hotter, was delicious. I drink mushroom coffee daily, so was excited to find a breakfast place that offered it. The Beltch was a generous size and incredibly flavorsome, with the sambal aioli adding a nice bite of spice to this classic breakfast sandwich. I chose a side of sweet potatoes, which were tender and also seasoned very well. However, I think they could get away with downsizing the portion a bit. My husband ordered a latte and the Big Wolf Breakfast. The bacon (which delectable smell permeated the restaurant) was made perfectly crispy for him. The "Tavern Potatoes" were unlike any traditional potato side I've seen. Think small, smashed and seasoned potatoes fried up on the grill. Very different, but very good! Visited Uncle Wolfie's original location in Brewer's Hill for a Saturday Brunch! I called 30 min before arriving and was told there was no wait but they were starting to fill up; there may be a max 20 minute wait by the time we got there. By the time I arrived at 10am, there was already a 30-45 minute wait. Parking is a lot easier and free at this location but the inside is extremely small. One can wait in a back shopping area and preorder a coffee, tea, or drink as you wait. We did wait the full 45 minutes but used the time to decide on what we wanted to order. Once we sat down, we ordered a chai latte and brown butter miso latte to enjoy. The brown butter miso was the perfect flavor for a cold, snowy Saturday. All their syrups are made in house and are fresh. My husband's chai also tasted fresh and house made. It was a good balance of sweet and spiced yet very light. For food, we got the Biscuits and Gravy & Wolfie's Breakfast Poutine. The food actually came to the table before the lattes as they only had one barista on staff. I did see our lattes sit on the counter for about three minutes before we asked and they were brought to our table. Either way, their food flavors were great! The poutine had so much depth of flavor with each component added. The biscuits and gravy also have a flavor unlike any other type I've tried: sweet yet savory. Overall, Uncle Wolfie's continues to have very impressive food offerings and food quality. I prefer the aesthetics of their downtown location over brewer's hill. While our items ordered were great, the service was sadly a but lacking this visit. Either way, I highly recommend giving them a try! Date of visit: April 13, 2025 Our monthly bakery/brunch visit brought us to this bustling Riverwest spot, and while I loathe a wait (45 minutes before 9 a.m.), it was more or less worth it! If it's not too cold out you can use the patio heaters to stay warm as well, so keep that in mind if you don't catch a lucky break and get in quickly. Also, they will bring you a coffee outside while you wait to keep you warm. Our server, Jax, was fine, but definitely all business and was not interested in the witty banter and after we started ordering drinks remembered to tell us that they were out of several of the drink options which scrambled our order a bit but we were able to recover. I switched to a drip coffee since my preferred drink was out and I really enjoyed the regular joe so I probably saved both money and calories this way. In the food department, I went with the Paw Paw French Toast which was both large and imposing, but I love a challenge. For the price I would have like a side of some kind of protein but as the dish was very good, I wasn't too disappointed. Truth be told, this trendy Brewer's Hill neighborhood was the source of heartbreak for me a while back. I was meeting a dear friend for breakfast very near this business, and got lost (Siri didn't know her way in the newly transformed neighborhood) and once I got there and drove around for 10 minutes to find a parking place I arrived 30 minutes late. She had left earlier, ending our friendship because of my chronic tardiness. Be forewarned: if you're not familiar with this hood, it can be hard to navigate. Parking is a challenge but not difficult; just give yourself extra time. And once you arrive you may have up to an hour's wait. The space is truly lovely with lots of light and character. There's a small shop you can hang in in the rear. Carefully curated items have price tags that gave me pause; felt like Gwyneth Paltrow and the Goop staff are advising. Tables are close together and you're pretty much shoulder to shoulder with folks. But everyone seemed happy to be there, a mixed crowd of well-heeled elders and multiple generations straight out of central casting for the original Friends series. Yep - there's a New York vibe here, with a sophisticated menu for discerning diners. Everything on the menu is amazing, complimented by home made condiments and craft cocktails. Coffee is very deep, dark and delicious. Servers appear to be art design and film school grads. Very high energy and exceptional waitstaff. I've been there twice and it's a long wait for food when they're really busy. You also feel the pressure to surrender your table to the many anxious patrons waiting in line. The bill for our party of 3 was more than I would normally pay for brunch. Nearly $100 without tip. Please try Uncle Wolfies at least once to celebrate a birthday or landing a job. Such a lovely spot for brunch. Very welcoming interior and friendly staff. The food (including kids meals) was delicious and our drinks were great as well. The shop next door is co-owned and has a very cute selection of items. We also stayed at the AirBnb they run next door which includes a food voucher with your stay. read more

They say if you can keep your restaurant buzzing on a Monday or Tuesday, you've truly made it! Walking into Uncle Wolfie's around 10:30 this morning, it was impossible to miss the vibrant energy in the air--this place is a hotspot! We hit the jackpot, arriving just as a table for four was cleared, ready for my parents and I to dive into the deliciousness. The enthusiastic staff let us know they just needed a couple of minutes to sanitize and set up the table, and they suggested we take a stroll to Orange and Blue next door. Wow, what a gem! This adorable shop is overflowing with charming aesthetic items, from vintage bags to stunning jewelry--perfect for a little pre-brunch shopping spree! After a short excursion, our server brought us back to our table, and I was wanting to venture outside my usual order. I decided to go for the Wolfundido. This dish came out in beautifully arranged sections, and I enjoyed savoring each part before turning it into a delightful, gooey yummy mess. Every bite was a heavenly experience! My dad couldn't resist the Little Phatty and polished it off in no time--he was in food heaven! My mom, keeping it light, chose two eggs with toast, which came with the most incredible homemade strawberry rhubarb jelly that perfectly complemented the crusty sourdough. This was only my second visit to Uncle Wolfie's, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone heading to or living in Milwaukee.
