The most incredible dinning experienced. The food is exquisite. The ambiance is breathtaking and the service is very friendly. This beautiful place transports you back in time to the 1800's once you step into what once was a barn and today's is called Jacks cafe. You have a variety of choices on the lunch menu and it has boutique wines and Wisconsin beer. Our server David was incredible , very welcoming and super friendly. Let's not forget the killer bread you can not have enough of it .

This place makes you feel like you stepped back in time with the ambiance and little village hidden off of Bluemound Rd close to industrial parks- I never realized it was there! The food was good too! I had the Caeser salad that had guac on it for an extra little something special. My friend had the chicken and rice soup which she really liked. Great place for lunch but they do have limited hours.

Cleanliness: 4 Stars. Very clean. The salt and pepper shakers could have used a good wipe down. Decor: 5 Stars. This historic building is furnished in similar chairs and tables. Not many tables so if they are busy you will be waiting for awhile. Location: 4 Stars. Easy to find. Easy in and out. Only open for lunch. Service: 5 Stars. Waitress was very helpful, willing to give advice. Kept us happy and even was able to up-sale us on dessert. Food: 4 Stars. I had the Jack Special, one of the best sandwiches I have had. I was not a fan of the coleslaw. The bread pudding was pretty good but nothing special.

    Any vegan options?

There's a veggie deluxe sandwich! It comes with cream cheese but you can substitute for guacamole or mustard if you want!

It's a busy place so we had to wait about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning, but I was OK with it. The building itself is pretty good sized. They have a couple of different rooms with lots of tables and booths. They also have some tables outside to wait at, but I'm not sure if they have an actual outdoor patio to eat at. The service was great and everyone was friendly. They all definitely work well as a team. I started out with just a plain black coffee. They also have iced coffees and Frappuccino type coffees. I believe they have juices and can even make some cocktails like mimosas. They did offer me sugar and cream with my coffee, but I just like my coffee black so that's how I ordered it. For my entrée, I ordered the village omelette and added gyro. It comes with spinach, tomatoes, and feta so the gyro meat sounded delightful in it. It also came with a choice of side, and I opted for fresh fruit. And then finally, you can choose between pancakes or toast. I went with plain sourdough toast. Everything was great and super fresh. The omelette was filling and well-made. They have a gyro sandwich and based on that omelette, I would definitely get the sandwich. The meat was tender and flavorful. And the feta gave the perfect little salty tang. I actually want to re-create the omelette that I had there here in Kansas City because it was so so good. The fruit was fresh and was mainly just honeydew and cantaloupe. And the toast was a perfect vehicle for some of the omelette to my mouth. Overall, I loved this brunch spot. If I lived in the area, I would go pretty regularly. If you are up north in Wisconsin stop in and check them out because you will not be disappointed.

Well - there was *nothing* to worry about, other than where I was going to put all of the delicious food I was consuming. There was not a single item/chaffer that wen't empty for more than a few minutes. Everything was hot, fresh and well-made. Desserts were plentiful, too. Linda was our server, and although she was new, she did a fantastic job and checked on us many times. Thanks, TB!!!

We both have always loved the salad and soup bar there (matter of fact, I'll often just order that for lunch or dinner), and as always, the soups were hot and tasty and the salad bar offerings were fresh, and the area was well maintained and cleaned. There were several choices for both breakfast and lunch entrees; I enjoyed the fried fish and beef burgundy, while my husband said both the fried chicken and the beef (I think it was prime rib) were good, but the beef was on the tough side. The French toast was puffy and moist, but the Belgian waffles were hard and bone dry. The scrambled eggs were rather dense, but the bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes were, we agreed, flavorful. The dessert selection was meager, primarily cookies and some bar cookies, and the breakfast pastry selections were rather tasteless and beginning to harden. I'd guess they'd been out for awhile. Our pleasant server was prompt with keeping our beverages topped off and clearing the table. This restaurant, due to its rustic look, is always darker than most restaurants; as this was daytime and our dining air had few windows, brighter lighting would have been nice.

I enjoyed the sandwich though my tastes were ready for a lightly browned cheese instead of a lava like cheese sauce though the flavor was terrific. The beef sliders were well seasoned and flavorful. 3 sliders ( not overly inventive )were a perfect savory meal. Do not miss the creamed corn! The bacon added texture and a nice hint of salt. The goat cheese flat bread was maybe the best offering for the evening..the goat cheese was melted wonderfully and the balsamic vinegar infused complexity all contained on the flat bread. The brownie with ice cream was a nice sweet ending to a great farm to table experience. Eli, our server knew the perfect inflection points to check in without becoming a helicopter server! I had Farmer Johnny's Pasta, which was described as "Rosemary lemon butter sauce, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, cheese blend." I would say the taste was good, but I think it would have been better with a few more vegetables among the pasta. Two had the pot pie, which really did look good, and is what I will try next time. Another had roasted red bell pepper, which I have also had in the past. It looked as good as ever. I like the fact that a lot of produce is local. The restaurant was comfortable. The service was accommodating. We all enjoyed our food!
