This place makes you feel like you stepped back in time with the ambiance and little village hidden off of Bluemound Rd close to industrial parks- I never realized it was there! The food was good too! I had the Caeser salad that had guac on it for an extra little something special. My friend had the chicken and rice soup which she really liked. Great place for lunch but they do have limited hours.

The most incredible dinning experienced. The food is exquisite. The ambiance is breathtaking and the service is very friendly. This beautiful place transports you back in time to the 1800's once you step into what once was a barn and today's is called Jacks cafe. You have a variety of choices on the lunch menu and it has boutique wines and Wisconsin beer. Our server David was incredible , very welcoming and super friendly. Let's not forget the killer bread you can not have enough of it .

Cleanliness: 4 Stars. Very clean. The salt and pepper shakers could have used a good wipe down. Decor: 5 Stars. This historic building is furnished in similar chairs and tables. Not many tables so if they are busy you will be waiting for awhile. Location: 4 Stars. Easy to find. Easy in and out. Only open for lunch. Service: 5 Stars. Waitress was very helpful, willing to give advice. Kept us happy and even was able to up-sale us on dessert. Food: 4 Stars. I had the Jack Special, one of the best sandwiches I have had. I was not a fan of the coleslaw. The bread pudding was pretty good but nothing special.

The food is always delicious, the service is truly impeccable with well trained, friendly servers, and it's very clean and homey. I had an egg special, and my choices included two (perfectly cooked) poached eggs, three crisp on the outside sausages, a well balanced fruit bowl with fresh pineapple, melons, and grapes, and a short stack of their light and fluffy pancakes. My husband had over easy eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit, plus we both had The Coop's rich, deeply flavorful coffee. Everything was excellent and at a most affordable price. Fast forward several hours: my daughter and her young sons were in the area on an errand, so we met up and of course the boys were hungry, so as The Coop was, once again, very close, we went there. My daughter was very happy to see decidedly different menu options for kids' meals than the usual. Two of them had grilled cheese sandwiches with fruit cups, the third had a scrambled egg, sausage, a pancake and fruit, my daughter had French toast, and I had two cheeseburger sliders with fries. Everyone loved their food and the atmosphere, and they all want to go back. Two great experiences in one day!

Well - there was *nothing* to worry about, other than where I was going to put all of the delicious food I was consuming. There was not a single item/chaffer that wen't empty for more than a few minutes. Everything was hot, fresh and well-made. Desserts were plentiful, too. Linda was our server, and although she was new, she did a fantastic job and checked on us many times. Thanks, TB!!!

My husband and I decided last moment to go to Thunder Bay for Sunday brunch recently, and we were…read morehappy that we could be seated immediately. We both have always loved the salad and soup bar there (matter of fact, I'll often just order that for lunch or dinner), and as always, the soups were hot and tasty and the salad bar offerings were fresh, and the area was well maintained and cleaned. There were several choices for both breakfast and lunch entrees; I enjoyed the fried fish and beef burgundy, while my husband said both the fried chicken and the beef (I think it was prime rib) were good, but the beef was on the tough side. The French toast was puffy and moist, but the Belgian waffles were hard and bone dry. The scrambled eggs were rather dense, but the bacon, sausage, and cheesy potatoes were, we agreed, flavorful. The dessert selection was meager, primarily cookies and some bar cookies, and the breakfast pastry selections were rather tasteless and beginning to harden. I'd guess they'd been out for awhile. Our pleasant server was prompt with keeping our beverages topped off and clearing the table. This restaurant, due to its rustic look, is always darker than most restaurants; as this was daytime and our dining air had few windows, brighter lighting would have been nice.

I searched on Yelp and came across Parkside 23. It sounded perfect. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was very crowded. I called in to the restaurant to make sure they'd have room for us, and was told that yes, they had just had a cancellation for a table for two, so come on in. We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. I'm also making plans to bring my husband up there sometime, because I think he will love it, too. A great find!

I've always loved the shrimp & grits, the flavor was good, but I didn't realize the grits would be a hard brick of polenta. There were exactly 5 shrimp on the plate, they were not large or jumbo, just 5 little shrimp. The flavor was good. I felt for 28.00 I could have had a few more shrimp. Honestly jumbo or colossal would have been a nicer presentation, with so few shrimp. My husband had the filet sliders, he was not pleased, our son's parkside burger was better. Our server was fantastic, polite, cordial, and attentive . The service is always good. It's close to home that's a plus, the quality of the food is not always in agreement with the price. I'll sit at the bar with a cocktail and an appetizer in the future.

They have a very nice simple and clean salad bar that is free with any entree. The chicken was also super delicious - very tender and perfectly cooked. The roasted red potatoes were also an A+... Also comes with a large loaf of homemade bread which was really good. We also had a total of 3 Old Fashions and 2 beers (Spotted Cow of course). Their Old Fashions are done perfectly! The total bill came to $130 which to me is an incredible bargain - 2 dinners (chicken, steak, ribs, potatoes, bread, 2 salad bars), 3 cocktails and 2 beers... plus amazing service - MARY ROCKS!
