I would like to first say that the service I had was wonderful. The waitress was quick, efficient, and very friendly. Another good thing was that the ambiance on the patio was very nice. That is all of the good things I could possibly say here. My sister ordered the onion rings and they were cold. They came out quickly? Not sure how they could be deep fried and cold. No flavor other than fry oil but very disappointing.. The prices, are grossly over what is fair for the quality and portion of what is delivered. Two hockey pucks of deep fried cat food "whitefish" for $29?!? Criminal. Is the person cooking the food a microwave? That would be more understandable. Thank god for the tartar sauce that came with the fish cakes or this would have been wholly inedible. $16 for a side of what was the most bland spatzel of my life also felt criminally expensive but was a step down from the let down of the crab cakes. I think the menu could use a revamp? Someone check on the team in the kitchen, I think someone might be asleep at the fryer.. For now, I wouldn't return until some serious improvements could be made to food quality.

The food here was so comforting and really tasted homemade. Huge portions. Lots of options! Would recommend!

I felt transported to a village inn somewhere in Britain. The interior looked vintage but it wasn't moldy or old. Clean curtains, white table cloths, fresh carnation in a vase, wonderfully placed silverware and beautiful plate wear. Even looking out to the patio gardens was a flowered feast for the eyes. I had the roladen which was so soft, I never needed a knife. A fork will more than suffice. Wonderful flavors. This is NOT a diner and NOT a place for a quick bite to eat. It's a place to relax, to talk and to enjoy your meal. Soft orchestral sounds in the background. Server was a sweetheart. Big parking lot. Small ladies restroom. There is a separate bar/seating area. Lots of parking.

I was expecting an "ok" dinner here based on the hit or miss reviews but we had a definite hit of a meal. The interior is "old timey up north chalet" with lots of wood, beer steins and old photos. It reminds me a lot of a place I worked in high school - family run, old school. Dinners start with a dish of garlic bread chips which are delicious. You'll choose from soup or salad - I had salad which was your pretty standard side salad. Fine but nothing special. For a main, I had wiener schnitzel ($32) which netted me 3 good sized, perfectly crispy cutlets topped with a fried egg. Homemade spaetzle was perfectly cooked. They make a homemade kraut which is pretty sweet and not for me, but that's subjective. The mister had the prime rib special (King cut $40) and it's probably one of the best prime ribs either of us had had. Perfectly cooked, super tender and with a terrific crust. Honestly, not fatty either! We ended with their homemade chocolate mousse pie which was spectacular. Light, not too sweet - just perfect. The dining room was full with a large party (26 ppl) but we still had good service. Honestly, I was really impressed. I'll definitely be back when I'm feeling like some prime rib.

Jack Pandl's has been around for many years and decided to try it on one my visits to Milwaukee. Got the schnitzels and cup of chili. It had 3 big pieces of schnitzels fried nicely. Would recommend for anyone to get it. The chili was amazing. I couldn't believe how good it was. Wish I could have taken some home with me. Service was really good and always present. The only con is the access to get into the restaurant. If you're in a wheelchair or have difficulty walking up steps it's tough. The building is old and was grandfathered in and not needing a ramp, but I would hope the owner would rethink this policy and add a ramp.

    Queen portion- delicious prime rin

We had a group of 8 and were seated right away on a Wednesday. We got there in time to order a few $5 apps from the happy hour menu. We all liked the elote fritters! The walleye and crab cakes were also good. We all tried something different. Between the NOLA Salmon, Ahi Tacos, Shrimp Cobb, Spicy Pasta, and even the cheeseburger sliders. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. They even brought out an Apple Pie for my dad's birthday! The only complaint I had is it was very slow. From ordering, to getting our food, and the longest wait was for our bill. With a 1.5 year old, we were eager to get going but waited about a half hour after finishing dinner to get the bill. Prices are pretty fair for the quality and quantity you get. Definitely would still go back, just not if we were in a rush!

Meh. But sandwich was solid. Others had chicken and waffles and double smash burger. Both were clean plated. Chicken and waffles were huge too! Surprised my bud finished them. We ordered our lunches, a wrap and salmon salad. It took quite a while to get our lunches. There was a large party dining at the same time, so maybe that was the reason, but my friend had to get back to work and was getting a bit anxious. She said that her wrap was good. But my salmon salad was amazing! It had a perfectly cooked plant of salmon, with fresh spinach leaves, segments of orange and grapefruit, diced beats and a delicious horseradish dressing. It was served in a bowl, nothing to look at , but so tasty. It think serving it on a plate would have shown off the ingredients better. We had to wait a bit to get our check, too. If you don't have much time, I wouldn't recommend, but if you have time, please try The Bay. (A third member of our party had to leave after ordering her wrap due to a family emergency. My husband and I shared the cubano sandwich and the buffalo cauliflower bites. Those cauli bites were fire, I could order those everytime and be happy! Wasn't the biggest fan of the cubano though. Date of visit: November 20, 2025…read more We had not been here in years, but came with some friends for the Milwaukee County Historical Society trivia. It definitely seemed that the staff here were simply not prepared for the volume of people that came out to celebrate the area and support the Historical Society. Emma, our server, was definitely trying, but not always succeeding, neglecting to enter in some parts of the order until far later into the evening (our friends didn't receive their order of garlic bread for about 45 minutes after their entrees were delivered) though oddly enough, she was always ready to bring someone another alcoholic beverage. Thankfully the food I had was pretty good, the grilled cheese sandwich paired well with their tomato bisque soup--I took a chance on the soup not being a traditional tomato soup fan (Campbell's? Gross!) but I found Three Lions version to be hearty and flavorful, definitely a combo that I would get again in the future. I would just come on a night when they could keep up with the crowds far better! Pro tip: Ask for croutons for the soup, they elevated a good soup to an amazing soup.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. It had quickly spiraled me into an arugula phase for several weeks after haha I'm a fiend for fries, and I will stand by the fact that these were a solid 10/10- crisp edges, cut for the soft potato inside and golden brown outside-hit the spot. They're relatively quick with getting orders together, but honestly if you had to wait a little longer than you wanted to, worth the wait. I will say the parking is kinda nice for the summers in the sense that you park your car as close to the lake as you can, walk to eat, and then leave to get your steps in and let your food coma bathe in the sun.
