Colossal miss on the Smashburgers! Total bummer, but both our smashburgers were overcooked, dry & flavorless despite having cheese, pickle, onion & mushrooms. Bun was definitely too dry (day old? Or stale as it is hot out?) Overdone burger wasn't seasoned so didn't bring out any flavor sadly. Small amount of cheddar cheese - nothing oozing out like in others review photos. We struggled to finish them actually. I can honestly say these are Bad Burgers and it takes A LOT for me to not like a burger. Went here with a few friends for happy hour on Monday! Loved sitting on their patio and enjoying the nice weather. They have tvs out there as well so it'd be great for a game day. With a patio that was turned into a three-season room, The Elbow Room was a good spot for a quick lunch on a weekend. My husband & I ordered the salad with chicken and it was great. Our third visit to Elbow Room, and overall, we really like this place. The **vibe and atmosphere are great**, especially the patio setup. The **service has been outstanding** every time -- the staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely seems to care about taking good care of their guests. The food, however, has been a little hit or miss. So why 3 stars? **The biggest issue is the ventilation inside.** We've sat inside twice, and both times the fryer/cooking smell became overwhelming. The kitchen is tucked into a corner with very little ventilation, and at times our eyes were actually watering from the smoke and smell. We mentioned it at the bar, and even the staff acknowledged that it can get pretty bad. Unfortunately, the smell doesn't just disappear when you leave. Our clothes were still saturated with the fryer smell the next day, and my wife's purse took **over a week** to completely lose the odor. That's a significant issue because otherwise, we really enjoy Elbow Room. We're happy to have a place like this in the area and will definitely come back -- **but we'll be sticking to the patio or outdoor seating rather than sitting inside at the bar.** Hopefully they can address the ventilation, because that would make a big difference. First experience, terrible! Ordered Mahi tacos requested no cheese. The server brought them out WITH cheese. They weren't remade they just picked the cheese off stating it was "slaw" and returned the same plate. The trust and accountability was broken. I was offered to have something else, I declined because I didn't trust it would be made right and the server also stated the kitchen was closing soon. Server began to clean up tables around us proving that they were soon closing which leads me to believe this is why they didn't want to remake the order all over again. Spoke with "manager" AJ he said he'd compensate the tacos. OBVIOUSLY, you can't charge me for something that I didn't consume. No other efforts were made to accommodate us. 0/10. We had the best time at Elbow Room! We had a group of four and were able to sit on the outside patio. The restaurant is majority patio seating, with some limited seating inside. Some of us got cocktails and some didn't, but they have great options for both food and drink. Our server was so friendly and helpful! She even was able to bring out the chef, Max, who helped us out with something on the menu. The food was amazing, you cannot go wrong. There are different deals on different days and there was live music playing throughout our meal. We have just moved to the area and will be adding this to our rotation! read more

They have a nice outside patio with a lot of seating, however, the seating inside is limited. We went on a Thursday and there was a wait for a table so expect it to be busy! I was originally going to give this place a single star. The food was incredibly bad. Our starters included $14 nachos with cheese reminiscent of Velveeta and $13 eggplant spears. There was a large amount of chips without that much cheese. The amount of tasteless eggplant spears did not warrant the price either. The entrees were also unremarkable, really not much to say about them. The additional star is due to the great waitress we had and the whole ambiance and vibe of the location. I chose this because they have a smash-burger on their menu. I was very disappointed. They cook their burgers to one temperature and this was way over done not juicy at all like smash burgers are supposed to be, you could not even appreciate the flavors of the meat. The waiter also did not mention it does not come with lettuce and tomato, you have to pay extra for that which I would have. Indoor seating has About 15 seats around the bar and 4 high top seating which isn't very comfortable since you're literally inches away from the next high top table. One should be taken out for easier access to sit and move around especially when the wait staff comes. On a stunning day like today, my friend and I were itching to find the perfect patio to soak up the sun! Our second stop on our adventure was the charming Old Room. We barely had to wait before they whisked us to our table, just in time to dive into their amazing all-day happy hour on Mondays! We were both treated to delicious double Tito's drinks that were refreshing, but with a sneaky kick that could turn the day into a wild one--thankfully, we had the day off to enjoy! We kicked things off with their incredible truffle fries, which were a fantastic start! Each of us ordered our wings, and I was in heaven with my garlic parmesan wings that were perfectly garnished. Update! Came back and figured I'd add a couple more thoughts and updates. The food was much better this time cause I got the smash burger that was juicy and made well. The fries were also great. The chips and French onion dip were good but the dip was a little hard and difficult to actually dip. The pinsa/pizza was incredible and I'd highly recommend it! I'm still giving four stars and honestly I even considered 3 cause when they are busy the wait times they give seem completely random. The people at the front always say "20 minutes." I actually almost left cause they kept saying 20 minutes and didn't tell me I was both next o the list and they were about to clean our table. My husband saw the open table and asked then they said "oh right - we can seat you now." Overall it's good but I've had enough frustrating waiting experiences there that I probably won't come back. Tried this place for the first time last night! Overall a good experience but a few bumps. We ordered chips and dip to start, but they came out with our meal instead. Our server and her trainee didn't introduce themselves and forgot silverware and water -- we had to ask for both. We originally wanted the Mahi tacos for Friday fish but they were out, so we went with the BBQ chicken pickle pizza (amazing!!) and the birria grilled cheese, which tasted more like shredded roast beef and really needed an au jus sauce. They asked if we wanted fries or chips with the grilled cheese and we said truffle fries without being informed it was a 6 dollar up charge! Most servers let their patrons know if there is an up charge in anything. Drinks were mixed -- the lemon drop martini was super sweet and could've used more tartness , but the smoked Manhattan was spot on. Ambience was 10/10, service about a 5/10, food an 8/10. It had a great patio so we sat outside. Soon after getting our drinks we looked down to see a fly in one. Gross but understandable for being outside. We told the waitress and she got us a new drink, no problem, which was really nice of her. Yesterday, we spent our Sunday Funday at The Elbow Room in Brookfield! We had such a great time! The staff was so friendly and kind! My favorite items in particular were the birria grilled cheese, the pizza, and their French fries. Everything had such a nice touch! The chicken potstickers were very flavorful, the nachos were creamy / cheesy, and the burger had a nice buttery taste to it. The bourbon flight also made us feel extra special! I wanted to love this place but unfortunately our group did not have a good experience here. I came here for my birthday dinner with some friends as we wanted to sit outside on a nice patio. We were seated right away and placed our order within 15 minutes of arriving. Unfortunately an hour later we still did not have our food. We asked how much longer it would take and were told 5 more minutes. The other 2 people in my group got their food about 10 minutes later, and I had to take mine in a to go box because it was not ready for another 30 minutes. I would have posted pictures of the pizza I got, but I didnt even have a chance to eat my food until after I drove home with it. The staff was nice but didn't tell us that they only had 1 chef working the entire night until after we got our food and didn't even offer anything after I had to take my food to go. We had to ask who our server was to ask to order something and then we finally had to flag someone down to pay. The food was great. I had the buffalo chicken wrap. It was well balanced in taste and ingredients. No iceberg lettuce here! Slightly soured greens and cucumber were great with the spicy chicken and blue cheese. It was so full that a toothpick might have been nice to hold it together. We ordered our food with our drinks. The food took an Hour and 20 minutes to get to us with 3 tickets in front of us. The people who sat after us with more people got their food before us. Truthfully, not worth the price or the wait but my boyfriend loved the wings. Dan, our bartender, was patient and understanding. Will we be back? Absolutely not. My recommendation to the managers is that if you have bingo night, music on the patio and it's both Big 10 and Big 12 football days, staff accordingly and don't dilly dally while your staff struggles. read more
