Cod fish fry with French fries

Grabbed lunch outside on a beautiful fall day. Quick and friendly service, food was great. The new parking lot is a great add.

Celebrating 5 years after diagnosis and doing well (party for a friend)

My friend celebrated her 5 year cancerversary here (stomach cancer stage 4).She and her husband know the amazing owners. They went all out for them. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This restaurant has great space first of all. It's a sports bar, so it's loud and there are tons of TVs. (Side note I bet it wasn't that loud when the Bears beat them so deliciously - Go Bears!) I was impressed with the amount of seating and that they were to accommodate a party of about 40 people with kids. It was a comfortable space to sit / roam around. We enjoyed: Appetizers : cheese curds , chicken tenders , Reuben rolls , salad Main : a taco bar (shredded chicken , ground beef) with flour tortillas , pico, sour cream and guac. Rice and beans too. Dessert : chocolate chip cookies Everything was delicious but the biggest hits I think were the Reuben rolls and the cookies. I loved the taco bar and was pleasantly surprised by the little kick in the pico. The service was incredible. They were friendly , welcoming, always keeping up with us, looking after us. The bartenders were fast and made great drinks. We all enjoyed a raspberry tart at the end to toast Our Queen. Whether you are here for lunch , dinner , happy hour , end of day drinks , or a lonesome meal at the bar watching the Packers lose (kidding - I know you win sometimes, too) - you will be well taken care of and you'll get a good meal out of it. I know why my friends chose this place! Those who live here are lucky to have this place to enjoy! - written by a fellow stomach cancer survivor who still can enjoy good food and drinks not having a stomach. My friend is more amazing though. She beat the grim odds and continues to thrive at stage 4. I was stage 1 (but it was diffuse and I was lucky it was found early)! Symptoms are vague but always be on alert for new GI issues , GERD, h pylori infection, bloody stools etc. Endoscopies are the best test because CT scans don't always pick up diffuse cancers. Take care and stay healthy my Yelpers!

Cheesesteak and chips

Hopping little neighborhood bar and grill with local hospitality and good selection of food. I was in from out of town so I went only on Yelp reviews. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the Cheesesteak and it was pretty tasty. Prices are reasonable and guests treated me like a local. Good conversation and drinks and food. I'd stop back here again.

I was on the fence about going to the Social Haus for a late lunch /early dinner but am so glad we ended up here. The service was friendly and food came out hot & fast but most importantly for me this day was how GOOD my food tasted! I ordered a buffalo chicken flatbread and it was probably one of the best flatbreads I've ever had. I was craving some buffalo chicken so this definitely hit the spot and then some because it also had the perfect amount of hot sauce, melty blue cheese (not just dressing on the side), chunks of chicken, scallions and carrots too. The flavor combination well exceeded my expectations, so much so that I'd order this the next time I'm out this way. It did appear to be a special so hopefully it becomes more of a regular item on the menu! The bar itself was nicely decorated for the Halloween season but was a bright space with large garage doors and a long fireplace near the front of the room. Lots to look at with TV screens in every direction but also daily /monthly specials advertised on various screens. There seemed to be something for everyone here. Lots of fun and family friendly too. The Social Haus was a great experience overall and I hope to be back soon!

Best food and Bloody Marys! Service was great. Amazing atmosphere. Love visiting here all the was from Texas!

Stopped here with my wife after we drove to the area from Chicago. We got there around 5:30 PM on a Wednesday and the place was crowded and the bar was packed. We sat down at one of the high-top tables and our server (sorry - I cannot remember her name) brought us water and menus. My wife ordered a plain grilled chicken breast sandwich and I had the Nashville hot crispy chicken sandwich (both came with fries) and we had the southwest chicken rolls for an appetizer. My wife enjoyed her sandwich but I thought mine was very ordinary, plus the (shoestring) fries were not very hot and were undercooked so were in no way golden brown. The southwest chicken rolls were VERY good - gigantic egg rolls with chicken, corn, spinach, black beans, etc. inside. There were four of them in a basket and honestly, they were the biggest egg rolls I have ever seen, plus they were very good. While I wasn't crazy about my chicken sandwich, I was very impressed with the chicken rolls and if I ever return to The Social Haus I would order some of them and be extremely happy. The restaurant was noisy and that may have been since we were sitting so close to the bar. They seem to have good crowds there and the reviews are excellent so they must be doing a lot of things right.

Love this place to get together and talk with my people! Great to watch games too. Everyone in my party loved their food. I wish I could say the same. The server asked how I like my meat and I told her no pink at all. I was so disappointed when I took my first bite. I know social haus would've been okay getting me different food if I said something but I was kinda reminded of why I avoid meat LOL anyways the fries were amazing! love the crunch. overall this place is great for ambiance and service! just wish they had a vegetarian or option like a wrap or burger.

"The Haus" Burger should be illegal on how good it was this was one of the best burgers I have ever had

The food and the service was EXCELLENT staff care about everyone Even Karen's staff were supper nice The food came out fast and pure perfectness they played Sunday football which I watched while eating my amazing food

It was like leather inside, struggled to tear it in half

Worest fish fry I have ever had. My wife and I had the Bluegill. It was way over fried and totally dried out. I also tried the clam chowder, it came out lukewarm. This was our first and last time there. I noticed the table next to us, that also ordered the bluegill, it looked the same, way over fried. I would rate them zero stars, if I could. The wait staff, never ask us how the food was.

Grilled cheese with chips...gooey and tasty!

This is a great place to go watch a Packer game! Lots of yummy food choices and a full liquor bar. We went on a Sunday afternoon; and believe it or not, it was full but not overcrowded. Most of the patrons were Packer fans and it was definitely a fun atmosphere. They give away shots whenever the Packers score, and they give raffle tickets out whenever you buy a drink; then draw prizes between quarters. We were a group of 4 and we ordered lots of food and drinks! I had the grilled cheese sandwich which was made with several different cheeses and bacon. It was gooey and delicious! The homemade chips were awesome as well! My husband had the curd burger and he said the same thing.....messy but very good. Our friends thought the wings were just ok; but the Philly cheesesteak was excellent. All portions were pretty big, and prices were reasonable. The servers were very attentive and came by often to see if we needed refills or anything....plus they brought by 4 rounds of free green shots. We also tried pull-tabs for the first time. (We are from Florida and I don't think we have them there.). Overall it's a fun place to go for a casual meal; especially if you're a Packer fan, or sports fan in general!

Went with some friends for a Friday fish fry. My friend got there ahead of time so I don't really know how long she was waiting for a table for us. Drinks were good, decent amount of beer choices. I had the cod fry and thought it was great! Love how it came with carrots in addition to the regular fish fry sides(coleslaw and fries/potato pancakes). The place was busy but we never felt rushed, ended up staying a little longer for extra drinks and our server seemed fine with it.

Came again and tried a couple different things. Once again so glad we came. The fish tacos had good quality fish and the slaw on it was perfectly fresh without too much sauce on it. The Mac and cheese bites and green beans were both great! Fried to be crispy and possibly two different types of batters so they were at least a little different. Service was just as fast and friendly. If you come on a Friday they might have karaoke which was so fun to watch! Can't wait to come back!

Came here for dinner and unfortunately left pretty underwhelmed overall…read more The restaurant itself was clean, and service initially started off fine. When we first arrived, the restaurant was not busy. Only a couple other tables occupied, so expectations were fairly high for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. The food took quite a while to come out despite how slow it was. When it finally did, it was first delivered to the wrong table before eventually making its way to us. The food runner then randomly grabbed a ranch from our table and brought it to another table. He seemed potentially new, but overall the service felt very disorganized and clueless, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered the cheese curds to start, and they were disappointing. The breading was mushy and extremely greasy, and the cheese itself tasted low quality rather than the fresh curds you'd expect at a Wisconsin pub. We also ordered several wing flavors since they were on special: garlic parm, buffalo, bourbon BBQ, and lemon pepper. One issue right away was the lack of flavor variety overall on the menu. The wings themselves were inconsistent. Sizes varied dramatically, which clearly affected the cook quality. Some were fried so hard they were like chewing leather, while others had soggy, undercooked skin. Flavor wise the buffalo were almost completely flavorless. The lemon pepper was extremely mild. The garlic parm was probably the best of the group, though still just average. The bourbon BBQ was rough. The sauce tasted like an overly sweet, overly salty cheap jarred glaze rather than an actual house-made BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the Mary Mac burger without a bun and was told extra lettuce leaves could be substituted to make it a lettuce wrap. Instead, it came out with just shredded lettuce. The burger itself was overcooked and lacking flavor. The fries were decent enough, but nothing memorable. Overall, this felt like a place with potential that just missed the mark on both execution and consistency during our visit.

Sal's is a most interesting discovery, on the southwest of the Four Corners of Menomonee Falls…read more bar and grill with a kitchen instead of a grill. The place is too nice to be classified a dive (you don't stick to the floor) but it's not quite a restaurant, either. Sal's appears to be a neighborhood bar "...where everyone knows your name," at least, most of the people there fit that description. It's in a 19th century building that used to be a hotel (so I've been told) and it still has tin ceilings. Tables are tall with bar stools. There's a back room with two pool tables that were unused while I was there. We were greeted by Sal who sat and chatted for a bit. There's lots of microbrews on tap so I started with my go to, Lakefront Riverwest Stein, my dinner partner had the Lakefront IPA. The menu is extensive by pub & grill standards, lots of sandwich choices. From the description of their signature burger, had I ordered it, I'd still be there trying to finish it. I ordered a meatball sandwich, and it was a more than pleasant surprise. There's a lot of effort that goes into the making of the sandwich. The meatballs are loosely packed, soft and easy to bite into. Ground beef, pork, onions, homemade bread crumbs, onions and there's something else in there that I couldn't identify. There was just enough homemade marinara sauce, the sandwich wasn't swimming in marinara like some places do. It was toasted and hot when it arrived at the table, and was served with chips and Sal's cole slaw. My dinner date ordered Chicken Parmesan without singing the little seven note jingle Peyton M. sings. It's served with the same marinara sauce that was on my meatballs that helped make it a great sandwich. Overall, it was a good experience. The music was a little too loud for my taste, making dinner conversation difficult. I'd take off half a star for that if I could, but the food will cause me to return.
