    Cheese curds
    Jaye A.

Service was great! Came in town to watch a Brewers game. Went on a Tuesday at 9pm. Ordered Mac with brisket, Mac with hot wings, and a kids chicken tender meal. Oh, and some cheese curds. Asked for it all to come out together. Curds we cold, obviously sat in the window to die. The Mac n cheese in both orders was subpar at best. Flavorless overcooked macaroni. The bbq sauce was overpowering on the smoke flavor. For $48 I expected a little more with all the reviews of this place. Save your money and goto BWW

We came on a Sunday at 530 Pm and the packers were on most of the TVS which was nice. Our server came over right away to give us menus and take our drink orders. They have a ton of beer on tap but need to have more Prosecco or rose as an option. Fish tacos were fantastic!

How happy my expressions are after eating their food.

Overall a exuberant display and feeling of a very good restaurant/bar.The service was Impeccable and consummate. Also everyone was so meticulous overall the service was exceptional. The food was an emasculate I had a very mouth water Mac and Cheese burger that was tender and juicy.Overall everything was a good meal and a fun time due to the great service and food.

Date of visit: 10/7/21 We came here for trivia since our normal place was not holding a game due to weather and we couldn't pass up a chance to test our wits against some new teams. The servers were a bit stretched thin, but that's sadly normal these days so we were very patient and our server was attentive, checking on us numerous times throughout the evening, something that many places holding trivia tend to struggle with. Food-wise, there are a lot of options on their menu and the prices are fair. Burgers are a la carte, but there are a few side options. For me, sweet potato fries are really the only side there is, and they did not disappoint. The amount was a touch skimpy for the price, but what I did get was very tasty. I believe the menu said something about different toppings for the fries, but I wasn't offered any of those options, so not sure if they still exist. Also surprised that there were no dessert options available, otherwise I would definitely go back for trivia or even just a meal.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment. I really don't like to speak negatively, only to give constructive and fair criticisms, but sadly... This is a one star review. Let's start with decor. Standard upscale modern aesthetic, with plenty of blue and purple LED accents. Overhead lighting was a bit too bright. Nothing really stands out as unique, but it's clean and not overwhelming or trying to be something wacky, which I do appreciate. Beer selection was impressive, but it was strangely un-organized on the display menu above the taps. IPAs were in several different sections, ales and lagers were mixed together which I guess is fine, and it was hard to tell if something was local/regional or an import. Why was Coors Light mixed in with the stouts? Food menu is pretty standard bar fare, nothing wild. I opted for the Kentucky Bourbon Classic with sweet potato fries. The burger LOOKED appetizing, and everything seemed cooked okay, but I found it sorely lacking. The "mayo bourbon" sauce they used had a bit of a slimy feel to it when combined with the onions, which led to a very unpleasant texture. The beef patty lacked any real seasoning. Really, the bacon did all the heavy lifting for flavor. The brioche was nice, though. The sweet potato fries were good. So there's that. Now let's talk service and COVID compliance, because that's where they really lost me. When I walked in, I was a bit dismayed to see so many people crowding around the main bar area. The guitarist they hired for the evening was looping country songs and Top 40 hits with the volume cranked, so you'd have to shout over it to be heard at the bar. I shouldn't have to stress how shouting and singing is a great way to project a virus into the air, but let's just flag that. The older woman behind the bar wore a chin diaper, while the two other servers did their best to keep a mask over their noses. Several patrons did not care whatsoever. Yeah, this is one of those places. ONE sign about social distancing, ONE sign about washing hands, no spacers to keep people from seating next to each other. I ordered a beer at the quiet end of the bar from a mask-wearing server who was not the bartender, as the bartender refused to serve me, then grabbed a seat in the far corner. The server was nice enough, and explained that the bartender was probably busy and didn't hear me place my order. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that my wearing a mask didn't sit well with the bartender, judging from the glares. I probably should have left, but I didn't. At that time it was 9:30pm and few places were available for a beer and a burger and at that point I was dialed in on a "beer and a burger." You'd think with tons of medical facilities and hospitals and specialists in the area, folks would be more sanitary and cautious, but at Mr Brews, they didn't particularly care. lol

Came here for dinner and unfortunately left pretty underwhelmed overall…read more The restaurant itself was clean, and service initially started off fine. When we first arrived, the restaurant was not busy. Only a couple other tables occupied, so expectations were fairly high for a smooth experience. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill. The food took quite a while to come out despite how slow it was. When it finally did, it was first delivered to the wrong table before eventually making its way to us. The food runner then randomly grabbed a ranch from our table and brought it to another table. He seemed potentially new, but overall the service felt very disorganized and clueless, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. We ordered the cheese curds to start, and they were disappointing. The breading was mushy and extremely greasy, and the cheese itself tasted low quality rather than the fresh curds you'd expect at a Wisconsin pub. We also ordered several wing flavors since they were on special: garlic parm, buffalo, bourbon BBQ, and lemon pepper. One issue right away was the lack of flavor variety overall on the menu. The wings themselves were inconsistent. Sizes varied dramatically, which clearly affected the cook quality. Some were fried so hard they were like chewing leather, while others had soggy, undercooked skin. Flavor wise the buffalo were almost completely flavorless. The lemon pepper was extremely mild. The garlic parm was probably the best of the group, though still just average. The bourbon BBQ was rough. The sauce tasted like an overly sweet, overly salty cheap jarred glaze rather than an actual house-made BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the Mary Mac burger without a bun and was told extra lettuce leaves could be substituted to make it a lettuce wrap. Instead, it came out with just shredded lettuce. The burger itself was overcooked and lacking flavor. The fries were decent enough, but nothing memorable. Overall, this felt like a place with potential that just missed the mark on both execution and consistency during our visit.

Signage outside indicated that they have fish fry on Wednesday night so that was a plus for me. He had a water street melt with chips and fried cheese sticks. He asked for his burger to be cooked medium. The menu indicated his burger had onion spread on it. His burger was not cooked medium but well done. The onion spread was a "sauce overload" and not a pleasant addition to the melt. The cheese sticks were wrapped in a won ton wrap and deep fried. They were served with a marinara. The cheese sticks could have used some type of seasoning to give them flavor. Very bland. I had the fish fry special of fried perch. Mild fishy flavor and definitely frozen. Thin crumb breading that had some type of seasoning. I choose fries, coleslaw, and rye toast. The fries and toast were the best parts. I wanted tartar sauce for my fish but it was so sweet that it wasn't good with the fish. Service was fine. She needed to leave before us and asked if we wanted to close our ticket. We didn't plan on staying as we're traveling so we closed it out. Location was easy to find. Bar area was clean.

We tried a couple of other places, but they had very long waits, including Relish. We couldn't get in, but we saw a couple of people go next door to Von Rothenburg, so we decided to tag along, hoping that there might be something there. So glad that we did. Both Relish and Von Rothenburg are owned by the Angel's Share Hospitality Group. It's a German-style pub with very distinctive German-style architecture. When you walk in, there is a large bar. Most of the bar stools were filled. There is a dining room adjacent to the bar and another one upstairs. Most of the tables have plain wooden tops, a good fit for the pub atmosphere. The walls are stucco and trimmed in oak. The place has a relaxed feel to it. We took an open table, and in several minutes our bartender/server greeted us, gave us menus, and took our drink orders. We got a couple of small glasses. They had my favorite, Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. The food menu is not especially German and has a wide variety of items, ranging from burgers, pasta, seafood, and fish frys (referred to as Relish Cod/Perch Fry, which is a nod to the Relish restaurant next door). They had several specials, including a Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb, and being a fan of lamb, I had to order that. We also got a Clubhouse Burger, ordered medium rare. It took a bit for the food, and our server kept us updated (and apologized) on the progress. To me, it didn't seem that long of a wait, but I appreciated the earnestness of our server, which was demonstrated the entire evening (thanks, Tanner). While I was waiting I had my side salad. It was good, with the surprise of some avocado. When it arrived, both meals were hot, well presented, and good portions. The lamb was served a perfect medium rare. The flavors from the herbs were outstanding. Lots of rosemary, and the au jus was rich and flavorful. The accompanying Sweet Potato Gratin was just okay. Not sure if the potatoes were cooked enough for my liking. The pile of potatoes had a Gruyère-like cheese that I didn't feel was a good complement. The burger was very good, in spite of being overcooked to medium well. The side of fries was hot and very tasty. Overall, a good meal and a place that we would likely return to. They have a huge patio in the rear, and I'm sure it's a lively beer garden during nice weather.

Google Maps brought us to what looked like a farm driveway with corn growing on both sides. There aren't many signs, just an old wagon decorated with Christmas lights. It's almost as if they want to keep the place hidden from the traffic on Pleasant View Drive. Food: The menu focuses primarily on wood-fired pizza, with additional offerings including appetizers, sandwiches, and sausages. They also have a large selection of beers, including several brewed on-site. We ordered the Milwaukee Pizza (cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions), and I also got the Washington County Smashburger. To drink, I had a margarita, and she ordered the Big Buck Bock. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was amazingly good. The pizza was hot, well seasoned, and generously topped. There was so much mozzarella that the other toppings were practically swimming in it. The smashburger was also excellent. The patty was cooked through with beautifully crispy edges. The pickles were crisp with just the right amount of kick. The crinkle fries were plentiful and well cooked, although they were just a touch too salty for my taste. Service: We received great service from the moment we walked in. You can either order from your table or at the counter. Since it was our first visit, we chose the counter. A staff member greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. Even though it was near closing time, they encouraged us to place our order and then relax, letting us know they would still be around for another hour after closing. Our food was brought out promptly, several people checked on us throughout the meal, and they even proactively brought us takeout containers. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful, making for a very relaxing dining experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is set on an old farmstead. They've done a wonderful job converting several of the buildings and outdoor spaces into a welcoming destination. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, along with a newer food hall that feels open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It's also a very family-friendly place, with outdoor areas where kids can play while everyone else relaxes. Even the restrooms were modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll be bringing more of the family with us.
