First time here, on the recommendation of my niece. The hardest part was figuring out that we had actually arrived at the right place. Google Maps brought us to what looked like a farm driveway with corn growing on both sides. There aren't many signs, just an old wagon decorated with Christmas lights. It's almost as if they want to keep the place hidden from the traffic on Pleasant View Drive. Food: The menu focuses primarily on wood-fired pizza, with additional offerings including appetizers, sandwiches, and sausages. They also have a large selection of beers, including several brewed on-site. We ordered the Milwaukee Pizza (cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions), and I also got the Washington County Smashburger. To drink, I had a margarita, and she ordered the Big Buck Bock. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was amazingly good. The pizza was hot, well seasoned, and generously topped. There was so much mozzarella that the other toppings were practically swimming in it. The smashburger was also excellent. The patty was cooked through with beautifully crispy edges. The pickles were crisp with just the right amount of kick. The crinkle fries were plentiful and well cooked, although they were just a touch too salty for my taste. Service: We received great service from the moment we walked in. You can either order from your table or at the counter. Since it was our first visit, we chose the counter. A staff member greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. Even though it was near closing time, they encouraged us to place our order and then relax, letting us know they would still be around for another hour after closing. Our food was brought out promptly, several people checked on us throughout the meal, and they even proactively brought us takeout containers. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful, making for a very relaxing dining experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is set on an old farmstead. They've done a wonderful job converting several of the buildings and outdoor spaces into a welcoming destination. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, along with a newer food hall that feels open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It's also a very family-friendly place, with outdoor areas where kids can play while everyone else relaxes. Even the restrooms were modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. This is definitely a hidden gem that you'd never just stumble across. There is no signage at all and from the street it looks like an old barn off the road. Upon driving in there is a building for the restaurant along with nice outdoor seating, and area for kids to play! We went in mid May on a sunny but cool evening. The kids loved having the sand area and toys to play with while waiting for dinner to arrive. They have a good menu, but there seemed to be a decent amount of items unavailable especially the sausages my friends wanted to try. We ended up with the spring pizza, sassy pig, a plain cheese, and then a three combo of sausages. I thought the pizza was all good, not the best I've ever had but solid. The spring pizza was my favorite. The sassy pig was very unique but good! Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the sausages but others in my group liked them. You know I love a good hidden gem. Old Germantown is just that. We were in the general area-ish doing some shopping and wanted to get some pizza for takeout some place closeby to enjoy at home while watching the Olympics (because it's in Italy--so pizza seemed like just the thing). A search on Yelp brought up this place as somewhat closeby. It was after dark when we went in search of it. We drove down a rural road past what appeared to be a driveway that led to a farm. This can't be it. We tried again. Navigation brought us to the same driveway. My husband was ready to give up. I decided to call the business. A kindly gentleman answered and said--yep! It will look like you're driving to a farm but we're here! As we got closer to the end of the drive we saw a bustling parking area. While it might be hard to find--the people have found it. And, so did we. We entered to find beer hall vibes with tons of communal seating. We asked if we could order to go which they were more than willing to accommodate. We found a couple bar stools at their bar, ordered our salads and pizza, and then enjoyed a couple of stout beers while we waited. The beers, salad, and the pizza straight from their wood fired pizza oven were all fantastic. We got one of their specialty pizzas which was a white pie that comes with ricotta (as well as mozz) mushrooms, and basil on a crust that has just the right amount of chewiness and char. Lovely! The folks working here were above-and-beyond friendly. And, one told us that they have a large outdoor patio during pleasant months. We will definitely be back during the pleasant months. This place is so unassuming! It feels like you're going out to the boondocks when driving here. Arriving to a big barn with nothing else around is so unique. We went there on a late Saturday afternoon with a big group - six adults and six kids. Luckily, this place is great for that, as it almost feels like a big hall with massive tables. Love that they have a QR codes at each table making for easy ordering. You view the menu, place your orders, and pay via the app, and then someone brings your items right to the table. I feel like that works so well for groups who are all ordering on their own accord. The wine was generously poured and tasty, and my husband really liked the beer. The pretzel bites app weren't my favorite, and my kiddos unfortunately didn't eat them. They were deep fried, I think. The wood over pizza on the other hand was so yum!! We got the marg and a pepperoni and they were both prefect in their simplicity. The outside space it wonderful! We visited as the weather has turned cooler, so didn't expect to go outside but we ended up enjoying it for a bit. I can see how great it would be in the warm months. This is a true hidden gem, there is no signage when you turn down the road or even when you arrive. We sat in the outdoor back area that was surrounding by barns. There was a large play area that the kids loved. The QR ordering system was simple and convenient options to split the tab or order as a group. But you can also go inside to order, if you prefer. We ordered two pizzas (sassy pig and harvest) that had creative toppings that paired well together. I do wish the pizza crust held up a little better, especially towards the center of the pizza. We also got the 3 sausage platter and chose the Choriqueso, Slovenian, and Brat. The Slovenian was my favorite, but it was great to try the variety. First time coming here wasn't hard to get to. Staff was wonderful very attentive everyone checks on you making sure you and your group is well taken care of. I like the ordering style. You can open a tab on your phone for yourself or everyone you're with. The food came quick. First we had spinach artichoke dip. The chips were salty and crunchy (a good thing) and the dip was very rich and flavorful. Next came out our pizza we got margheta and a pepperoni pizza. Both were amazing the pepperoni pizza was very cheesy something about this place all the flavors were rich. The margheta pizza was also amazing everything tasted like it was created in the restaurant. You can taste every ingredient in the pizza welly combined. The lemonade was also homemade and came in beautiful cups. Overall the food was amazing. I definitely will be coming back and can't wait until the summer the outside of the restaurant looks like it's going to be beautifully lit up and a great vibe. Almost forgot about desert!!!! What a gem of a place!! We came here for the first time with friends and it was such a great experience. It's out in the middle of the country, the driveway comes up Quick haha make sure you're paying attention. Easy parking and beautiful farmstead property that has been done extremely well for entertaining. There's ample outdoor, covered seating and we easily grabbed a table on a Friday evening at 4:30pm - it was a weird weather night and our friends told us it's normally busier. Let me tell you, this is an amazing spot for families!! It had a fenced in feeling and tons of outdoor play toys to keep them busy. We felt very comfortable letting them roam freely and we were able to enjoy our drinks and food. You order online and the service was incredibly prompt - drinks came out within 5 minutes! It's beer/wine/seltzer, they don't have a hard liquor license. Big food menu but we stuck to their thin crust pizzas which were delicious. They had a ton of gluten free options which I appreciated! My last brewery stop on a quick marathon stop in town a few weeks ago. Friendly and knowledgeable Luke discussed beers w me that I trusted him to "pour me whichever one" i got chatty w some locals so opted for some pretzel bites that came w a delicious dipping sauce; that when i asked Luke for a box, hd added another full sauce, thanks. A few bites in to my order the gal next to me who had recommended them and told me her first order was overcooked, said mine were too. We have gone to Old Germantown many a times now and it's always a crowd pleaser! The space itself is a pizza and beer barn with an awesome outside seating area as well. Plenty of parking in the gravel lot out front. Lots of seating options inside and outside for small and larger groups! You order inside the barn and then they bring everything to your table, which means you get to kick back and enjoy the company. Staff is usually friendly and attentive when ordering and delivering, and don't hover while you enjoy your time munching and sipping! The menu has a draft list of local and in-house brewed beers and some wines as well. I've tried a bunch of their beers over my many visits and rarely have a complaint! The food menu is comprised primarily of sausages and pizzas! I definitely recommend getting a variety of sausages to try some different styles (you can even take some frozen sausages home by stocking up at the freezers near the host stand). Pizzas are wood fired in a brick oven, rocking that chewy and charred crust that you know you love! Plenty of topping options to satisfy the crew! Was in the area, which is rare, so I decided to stop and see what the hype was about. This place lived up to the hype for me. I decided to try the housemade sausage platter and scratch made pizza, since I don't know when I'll be back out here. You can order 3 or 5 sausages in the platter, which comes with fries, or order one sausage in a bun. I opted for 3 sausages. There were 7 choices, and I chose the Slovenian, Polish, and French because I like Polish sausage and never had Slovenian and French sausage. Wow! Sausages are grilled over open flame and all were spectacular, and the French was my favorite, as I found it to have the most unique flavor profile, as well as being very bold like "punch you in the face because it's so good"! The sausage platters come with fries, and I love crinkle cut fries, so bonus. There were a LOT of specialty pizza options, but my "control" is always Italian sausage and pepperoni. The pizza dough is made from scratch and baked in wood-fired oven, being carefully tended to. The spicy (but not overly spicy) Italian sausage with visible fennel seeds was excellent, as was the thin sliced pepperoni, which was wide and looked more line sopressata to me. The Grande cheese blend and sauce were also packed with flavor, with the sauce leaning toward spicy and savory versus sweet. I hope my leftovers reheat well. :) Service was friendly, welcoming, and considerate. The atmosphere was "family friendly" with a moderate noise level. They also have a large craft beer selection, which they make next door. I didn't try any beer on this visit, so I can't speak to it, but I'll bet there are at least a few beers I would like. Great atmosphere and service, not great pizza. The pizza looked amazing in reviews and pictures but the margarita pizza I got did not look like pictures and was not very good at all. Crust was overcooked and not in a good crispy way but a burnt tasting way. The sauce had a good flavor to it, but there was a very disappointing amount of mozzarella cheese and the undercarriage was super floppy. Basically just bread and not much else to the pizza. 4.2/10 Pizza Beer is super good and salad was good too. I don't like to do reviews on newer establishments if they are really good because once the secret is out the place gets super busy and the quality of everything goes down. Well, it's too late now. This place is open Thursday through Sunday and the secret is out. We've been here several times and haven't been disappointed once. You place your order yourself up at the counter and they bring it to your table. Pizzas are excellent. It is a very family friendly place with lots of wide open space inside and outside for the kiddies. They also have an extensive beer menu. No hard alcohol. Old Germantown is a hidden gem offering a very interesting dining experience. Super casual with a community oriented theme. We felt like we walked down to Main Street to have dinner with the town folks. Between the large, "sit anywhere you find a spot," shared tables and the friendly staff, you feel at home. The converted barn offers a large, open dining area and views of the kitchen and wood-fire pizza oven. The owner checked in on us several times and asked for honest feedback about the dishes. I had the chicken apple sausages with potato pancakes - he was excited that I braved ordering them because they were just introduced on the menu. They were very good, full of little bites of apple with a hint of sweetness. The potato pancakes were thin and crispy. A little salty for my taste, but my husband disagreed and thought they were seasoned just right. My husband had a wood-fired pizza which was also very good. Good amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings. It could've been left in the oven for a couple of more minutes to get the crust a little crispier, but still tasty. Food is served as it is ready, so it arrives at the table very fresh and very hot. It reminded me of a Tapas restaurant - I think it would be fun to go with a group and share everything as it's served. The restaurant is focused on making homemade food featuring Wisconsin products. Best kept secret for wood fired pizza in Germantown. Driving up, you wouldn't even know it's there, other than a few discreet "OG" logos here and there. But as you round the corner, you come across a red barn and parking area confirming you are indeed at the right place. The menu is well thought out, with a variety of creative pizza and sausage flavors to please every pallate. We enjoyed the Mushroom Ricotta pizza. It has subtle, well-balanced flavors and contrasting textures of the crist crust and super-soft ricotta cheese. The pizza was a little smaller than I expected for $17, but it still fed 2 of us a nice lunch portion. And still worth the price for a genuine wood-fired pizza. Old Germantown is a great place to spend a sunny, relaxed afternoon with friends. It's super interesting - there's no sign, they don't really advertise but word of mouth has made it very popular. The owners took the family farm and turned it into a microbrewery, sausage shop, wood fired pizza place and beer garden. The inside space is large and relaxed but gets loud when they're busy. The outside is perfect on a sunny day - you're surrounded by farm fields and nature. They have live music too. Beer wise, they have an interesting variety plus a few of their own brews. There are options for wine, seltzer and cider but no cocktails. Food wise, there are homemade sausages that are great - the varieties change regularly and go beyond the basic brat. Or you can do a handmade, wood fired pizza. We tried 3 (they're about 12-13" on hand formed dough) - one with pork, apples, pickles and BBQ, a plain sausage and the Forager which is mushroom and arugula. Honestly, these are top tier pizzas - everything was high quality, fresh and delicious. If they were in the city (and not on a farm on the middle of nowhere) I don't doubt they'd be on "best pizza" lists. The owners are super nice, the prices are fair and the food is great. The reason for my poor review is I was disappointed in the pizzas. The flavor of the pizzas was excellent, but they fell down where the toppings are concerned. What a magnificent find Old Germantown is. Stopped in based on other reviews on the way from Milwaukee to Green Bay for a 49ers and Packers game. Germantown is off the beaten path for a tourist and at the point you think you are heading to the wrong spot you arrive to see the restaurant. Despite being busy there was plenty of parking and hardly a wait to be seated. The gentleman that helped us with the menu selection and recommendations was extremely welcoming and gracious and it made for a great start of the trip. The menu has a wide selection of sausage and pizza choices as well as great tasting appetizers and salad options. The beer selection is vast and you won't be disappointed if brews are your choice of beverage. Highly recommend doing a plate where you can sample a few of the sausages, especially if you won't be a regular here. Not sure when I will be back in this part of the country again, but I am up to make a detour here again should I ever find myself in this area. read more

Waited 40 mins for a pizza. When I approached after I saw multiple people that got there after me receive their food to ask where my pizza was no one knew and then finally a pizza was given to me. I was told they didn't want me to leave upset and they'd refund my credit card for the transaction. Instead I was only refunded the 20% tip I left when I paid for the food prior to me sitting down which makes me even more angry. Don't tell a customer they'll receive a refund and then not follow through. Based on this experience I would not recommend the place. read more
