Was in Menomonee Falls in need of some late night eats (9:40pm) when a quick consult with my Yelp app led me here. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by our experience here. We walked in at 9:40pm and asked if they were still serving eats. They were. Until 10pm. (the bar is open until midnight for drinks, however) So, we quickly got our order in. My dining companion went for their whiskey burger while I opted for their stuffed meatloaf. As is our typical fashion, we have a bite of each other's dinner to see who won at ordering (I live in a house full of guys...the one constant? They can turn anything, and I mean anything, into a competition). Here? There was no clear winner because both dishes were delicious. The meatloaf comes stuffed with gorgonzola, seared, and then topped with a mushroom cream sauce (with big beautiful slices of mushroom present). It was every bit as good as it sounds. Savory with a nice sharp bite of gorgonzola. For my side, I opted for the smashed baby red potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, and garlic. My mouth is watering a little bit writing about them. They were pure garlicky deliciousness. My dining companion opted for french fries, which are fried to golden perfection (and shoe string for those who fancy them). Their cocktail game did not appear strong (a lot of sweet martinis and rum drinks--not terribly exciting to us bourbon/scotch/whiskey lovers), so we both opted for beer. They had Sand Creek's chocolate oatmeal stout in a bottle, so I got that while my dining companion opted for Left Hand Brewing's milk stout. The service, as others have noted, was quite slow. But, also quite friendly. As we walked in so close to the cutoff for eats, I felt they were more than accommodating. The prices seemed incredibly reasonable. Stopped in here during a recent business trip while staying at the attached hotel (review for that hotel posted separately). Very clean, nicely appointed restaurant and bar. I really enjoyed the nod to the local historic ice farming industry. I actually came here several times for food during our stay. The "breakfast scramble" was a solid meal to kick off the day. The braised pork flatbread was very big, bring an appetite! I was a little confused over the "house curds". Having been to Milwaukee several times I'm familiar with the local cheese curd infatuation and I too love a good cheese curd. These had a yellow cheese in them, possibly cheddar? It caught me of guard and was a bit unexpected. Not that I didn't like them, just not what I expected. Service was always very friendly, although for the morning visit it was very slow. Just one girl working the whole place and with more than a couple tables plus her duties at the coffee bar she was quickly overwhelmed. Luckily for me I was not in any sort of hurry, but the table next to me clearly was and they made it a point to hurry her along. All in all, some good food and a great atmosphere. I only wish that when I arrived at 10pm the first day of my visit that they weren't closing the kitchen at that time because I was very hungry after a 16 hour travel day and just wanted food. read more

This morning I stopped in for a veggie breakfast burrito with no beans to go, and I high expectations after having such a wonderful lunch on 1 October. Well it was an alright breakfast burrito in taste, but the price at $10 was way over priced for what I received. As the pictures note it was fairly flat and not really filled as expected for a breakfast burrito at $10. Conversely, the lunch of fish and chips at $14 were excellent and you receive a lot of food for the price point. This could have been an off morning, but still a disappointing $10 spent, but on the upside I will be back for lunch again in the near future. read more

Okay... my review is really only based on the Corned Beef Hash that I order before I leave on my drive to Appleton. The RBG Bar and Grill is attached to the Radisson in menomemonene (is how I say it) but it's really Menomonee Falls... lol It's not really a hash ... think Denny's skillet with Corned Beef. It's fantastic and everyone that I've shared it with have really liked it. It takes about 15 minutes so if you're in a rush, I'd call from your room to place the order. The service is always friendly and quick. The best part is if you have Concierge Level status with Club Carlson or bought the breakfast package with your hotel stay - your breakfast s free! read more

We had a party of 6 on a Friday evening and found a table on our own and sat down. There was only 1 other table occupied and they were only drinking and they were loud and drunk, but the bar area was crowded. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders, which took a long time to arrive. Our food order which consisted of a fish fry, 2 Cobb salads, Mac and cheese, tacos, and a sandwich took almost an hour to arrive. The portions were fine except for the salads which were small for the price. The food was alright but certainly not special. read more

Randomly found this place near work for a happy hour. The server was super sweet on giving suggestions and make sure we are satisfied with the food and drinks. I ordered a black walnut old fashioned and it was indeed black walnut. You can really taste the depth in the drink and it wasn't watery at all! We also ordered cheese curds and pretzel bites for appetizers and they taste great. I personally love the texture of their pretzels. They taste chewy not too soft. My friend also loved their cheese curds as well. The only down side is that the portion was small. Overall, the experience was good and the ambiance here is chill but a bit fancy too. read more

My husband and I arrived around 7:30 on Saturday night and there were only a handful of diners and a few people at the bar. For some reason we were seated at a small 2-person table against a wall even though the dining area was almost completely open. Odd seating choice. Service and atmosphere were OK. Black Walnut Old Fashioned was delicious, but we were never offer an ice selection so would not have known that was their "thing" if I hadn't read about it. We ordered the smelt appetizer (bland and under cooked), roasted red pepper and Gouda soup (excellent), grilled mushroom salad (mushrooms chewy and barely grilled but rest of salad delicious) and The Burger (tasteless). Overall, food was very underwhelming. A little seasoning would have gone a long way in all the items we tried. Very disappointing experience and I doubt we'll be back. read more

This is hands down the coolest restaurant in the area. It's at the front of the new Delta by Marriott hotel (Old Radisson) the whole property has been updated and is super hip and cool. They have ice for cocktails any way you like it, great craft beer and eclectic modern MidWest fair. I'll be back over and over. Food and service are awesome! read more

Usually hotel restaurants are pretty bad, so I was pleasantly surprised at RBG. They handled our lunch party of 8 quickly and everyone's order came out correctly. The interior is surprisingly chic and looks like a good place to have happy hour drinks if you work in the area. The menu is fairly extensive - mostly sandwiches and burgers, and very reasonably priced. Most non-entree items are under $9 including their large salads. I work downtown so I'm used to paying WAAAY more for a crappy Caesar salad. My veggie burger was yummy and served with tater tots. The best part was that they were served in a mini fryer basket - so cute! Apparently RBG is actually a European chain....who knew? Anyway, it's a fine stop if you're in the area. read more

Very nice surprise coming upon this bar and grill. The name and signage isn't so evident that it's a bar and grill. You have to get close enough to the sign to see the smaller print describing RBG. Now that I've been there I get that the letters stand for Radisson Bar & Grill, but the logo isn't so clear. Looks more like a business office from the outside. The place is spacious and has a variety of seating areas--with different seating types. From long picnic tables for groups, to booths to tables to a lounge area wit couches and soft leather chairs, to separate rooms for groups. Food was excellent and fresh. Tomatoes and lettuce on my burger were very fresh. Sweet potato fries excellent too. Wait staff very friendly. Glad this place is close to my work place--I'll be back often with my workmates. First, I have been eating here for over 40 days, for breakfast and diner. This will continue for another five months. So I know the pretty well. The food is prepared by a season crew. The head chef is superb. If your lucky enough to have a meal prepared directly by her your in for a real treat. Think gourmet. She's a busy gal so don't go getting all I'm special on me... The M-F chef is a hulk of a man with a laugh that never fails to make me smile. It's loud, it's deep, it carries, and it's contagious. Not sure if he wants it this way but it sure sounds jolly! His meals usually hit the mark, 8 times out of 10. The weekend staff chef is pretty good but he's more the sue chef. So don't expect the world but the meals are still pretty good. The servers. We'll they have been putting up with me without so much as a crack in the exterior. Meaning a job well done for those that need it spelled out. Very low turnover. The team, it is a team here, there amazing! All of them. But the queen bee is Davis. Be kind to them. Not eating meat, the options are limited on the surface. But those that are visible are keepers. But... There are other options.... Let the servers know and doors are likely to open to menu that is not so apparent. The dishes with meat are looking pretty good though. See plenty of folks smiling while in the midst of there meals with friends. So here's the thing, I'm never in hurry. I live here... Really. So if your in a hurry it may benefit you to let them know your timeline. Meals are made to serve. read more

I came to the Waterlin bistro/cafe tonight and had the most AMAZING experience thanks to Rebecca. She went out of her way to make sure I knew the specials for the night. When one waiter, who later heard was a manager, didn't offer me specials she came over to make sure we knew about them. When we asked why we weren't made aware of the specials, the manager told us "they started at four and some people don't like wines on special". We got there at 6pm. We love wine and a wine special. When we weren't taken care of by our own server, Rebecca made sure to take off the incorrect charges. She also made sure we knew that we had the specials accessible to us until 10 pm. We got there at 6pm. 100% recommend Rebecca. She knows what she's doing and she knows how to serve guests. The food was really good. Loved the atmosphere. Hated ALLIE. read more

For breakfast you can order from the menu or eat the buffet they have set up. The chef is a GREAT cook in the mornings so I highly recommend ordering from the menu! Settle in, long review coming up! Dined in new year's eve. Ordered $39.95 special. Included a salad, shrimp cocktail, t bone steak, lobster tail, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, Tri color roasted potatoes and dessert. I opted for chocolate covered strawberries. Champagne. Spouse got 14 oz ribeye with sweet potato fries. Child got chicken Alfredo kids meal. This was a 2-3 Star meal according to taste. Service was the only thing that put it over the top. Felishia was our server. She was called in to work after all but one other server called in sick that night. Luckily, at 6:45 pm, the place was pretty empty. After we were finally seated (no one came to the host desk for a really long time as I waited; bartender was busy, many empty tables but the only available booth was dirty and was cleaned for us), both servers came over to our table independently to ask us if anybody had helped us yet. We were not provided with the special New Year's eve menu which I had seen at the host desk while I was waiting to be seated. We asked specifically for this menu, as well as a child's menu. We were not given a child's menu by the host despite having asked for one after being asked if we wanted one The waitress later said that they were out of copies, so she read the choices from memory. Let's start at the beginning. Salads were small but decent. Came without napkins or flatware, so we had to request it. My son's napkin was all torn at the side. There were some cherry tomatoes that were olive green and I'm not sure if they were meant to be green or not. There wasn't much salad dressing. Luckily my husband had asked for extra in advance. They did not charge extra for the dressing. He ate some of my salad but ran out of dressing so no one finished it. Champagne was very dry and not very good but at least it was fizzy. The shrimp cocktail featured five large shrimp in a martini glass which was chilled with a delicious spicy cocktail sauce. A+. A cup or bowl for the tails would've been nice. I put them on the table, then on the edge of my salad plate. The steaks were a bit of a disappointment. The T-bone was very thin and a bit rare near the bone and the 14 ounce ribeye came without a bone and was extremely small and thin. Not even the size of a small palm or close to 14 oz prior to cooking (medium well) but he refused to complain. Also, the lobster tail was a bit mushy. Sauce was good. The potatoes were completely undercooked and all looked gold. No tri colors. The sweet potato fries looked OK and came in a mini fry basket. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus was very good. Cooked properly. My son's Alfredo was in a very small soup crock and the chicken had been left out completely. He refused to eat his food, which is unusual. Also, he refused to eat the bread. Another rare occurrence. It looked delicious but, sadly, tasted very bland. After our dinners were served, the manager came over to check on us. I explained some of the issues, and he volunteered to do anything possible to make it right. This brought my rating higher. He brought out some freshly grilled chicken and extra sauce for the Alfredo dish and he brought me a new side of potatoes. He offered to make me an entirely new entrée, but I wasn't about to order another lobster tail or steak. My son wanted steak (and steak sauce) so the manager obliged with a new bottle of steak sauce. He also brought some more biscuits to which he had added some garlic topping, but they still didn't taste very good and it's hard for me to pass up bread. If a six year old won't eat then, there's a problem. I don't know what was lacking, possibly salt, but the cheese didn't do them any favors. Also, the butter which was served with the first batch was melted and squished. I removed it from the hot basket and put it on a plate. A bit unappealing, but when short handed, I understand that corners must be cut in order to keep up. Still, it's not the diners' fault. When it came time for my son to get his ice cream for dessert, he asked for chocolate ice cream. The waitress said they had it, but came back and told us that it was freezer burned and she wouldn't feel right serving it. I got five decent size strawberries. They weren't fully ripe and they weren't extremely fresh, but they tasted OK and the chocolate coating and sauce was sticky but tasted all right. The pink whipped cream in the center was kind of thick and I don't know exactly what it was but it wasn't just whipped cream as it was a bit hard. Overall it was a long meal (just under two hours though our server apologized many times) and wasn't worth $40 for mine or $26 for the small ribeye, but it wasn't the worst food I've ever had and the manager offered repeatedly to replace things and if I'd been an a**hole, I'd have taken him up on all new food. Perhaps a small 5-10% discount might have sat better with us. read more

I was at Waterlin on a Thursday night, not busy at all. I found the service to be adequate, not too fast but not slow either. I had the delicious fried cheese curds to start & followed by the salmon. The salmon was a little dry & underwhelming, but the asparagus quinoa was wonderful! I also tried the walnut old fashioned, it was ok - I think I'd go with a regular old fashioned next time. I also had breakfast the next morning, the coffee was decent and breakfast burrito was pretty good. read more

An update from the restaurant previously in this space. Dinner and drinks were good. I would go back. With that said, I did return the next morning to give the coffee bar on-site a try since it boasts the Stone Creek Coffee name (my fav). My experience getting two lattes to-go was baaaad. The less than enthusiastic barista did not make the drinks right at all. I ended up with what tasted like a warm cup of milk with honey, lots of honey. I saw her pour the honey into the lattes directly from a jug. Stone Creek is known for having a stronger espresso taste in their lattes and these were definitely missing something. To recap, the food and cocktails get a thumbs, but thumbs down for the coffee bar (or stick to coffee only, not espresso drinks). read more

Add Cody C., as my "Best Male Server of 2013," (Andrea at Buca's is my "Best Female Server") and this is as good as it gets! Exceptional dining in the upscale Raddison Hotel only enhances the extensive menu, reasonably priced and beautifully presented. Add to this RBG's many coupon offers and few can come close to matching such a fine dining experience for value. From its 16 Barbeque Pork Ribs ($17.99) that shame the likes of Ashley's Que, Famous Dave's and Heaven City, to the delicious Prime Rib (12 oz) Saturday Special ($13.95), whether if it's with my wife or friend John, the certified Italian Chef, we've never been disappointed. I stayed at the hotel recently and during my stay had both breakfast and dinner at RBG. This is a better than average hotel restaurant/bar with a nice atmosphere, especially for a mid range hotel. The bartenders and servers were all friendly and attentive. It is always nice to be treated well, especially when you are out of town and dining alone. Menu has a lot of sandwiches and comfort food options with local flair (think cheese curds). I had the mac and cheese for dinner it was rich and creamy and a very large portion that I could not finish. For breakfast, I had French toast and bacon, both well prepared. Not sure I would seek this restaurant out again on it's own, but if I am in the area again I would stay at the hotel because of the restaurant. read more

I travel to Menomonee Falls quite a bit. I have stayed in multiple hotels. Delta in the Marriot familiy is where I decided to land based on the Marriot program vs. others. If you are looking for an Hotel with a great dining option this is the place. The staff (Andrew and Rebeca ) are very friendly helpful. They have a great cheff. Patio is small but nice! the wings were a nice size and tasted good, though the meat was a touch dry. the soup had nice large chunks of corned beef and vegetables but the broth was somewhat bland. my wifes vegetable panini was delicious and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. my burger was good though it was difficult to taste the whiskey bbq sauce. I oordered it medium rare and it was a solid medium which is actually pretty good for Milwaukee. the fries were delicious beautifully double fried, crspy on the outside and fluffy and potatoey in the inside. portions were nice and overall an enjoyable experience. definitely looking forward to going back and trying other menu items. read more

I go there very frequently. The staff is always friendly and quick. If there are any issues (very infrequent), they are quickly resolved. The food is excellent. The prime rib on Saturday night's is awesome. You always get a lot of food for the price considering it is in a hotel. They also offer free nachos at half time during Packer games and they are loaded with chili and cheese. Touchdown shots are also offered for every Packer's touchdown. They also offer a breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings with fresh waffles and made to order omelets. The decor is very modern and relaxing. It is a place were you can go casually or take someone on a date. You feel comfortable no matter how you are dressed. It is upscale but is able to maintain the balance of casual and fine dining which is very hard to do. read more

We had Sunday brunch at RBG and we've eaten there before, but today I was disappointed. My shoes stuck to the floor almost immediately and I almost lost my sandal as a result. The buffet was alright but I would've liked to see the staff standing by to make omelets instead of walking away. The coffee was okay too, but after the first cup we were never offered a refill. Unfortunately I was less than pleased with the experience we had today. However, I've visited RBG in the evening and the service as well as the food were quite good. If you would like a really good breakfast buffet, go anywhere else. This one is average to below average. It's not bad, but the service is horrible here. I was very disappointed in how inattentive the staff was. It would probably save them a lot of money to get rid of the wait staff and just have some type of mechanism on the door so that you pay to open the door and just serve yourself. It would not be any different. We waited for a good 10 minutes at the "please wait to be seated" with a group of about 5 other couples that got there before we did, before someone acknowledged our existence. MY wife & I visited the RBG grill several times before. This time we were surprised by how slimmed down the menu has become. I have had walleye before & asked for it & it was very good. However, this time they told me it was only served on Fridays. Sat. nite around 6PM. 7/21/18 So I ordered the short ribs and they were very dry. There was no salad or side orders with the meal. One of the WORST restaurant experience that my family and I have ever had. We went there for Mother's Day Brunch and they served us to an empty table. No plates, no silverware, and no glasses. Not once did a server come over to tell us how the brunch worked, where to go, etc. We all ate majority of our meal without a drink since again no server came over to take our order until we complained that we had no drinks. When they did finally come over with drinks they only brought enough for a table of 4 and there was 8 of us, so again we had to ask for more. Not only was the service awful, the food was NOT worth the money. It all tasted as if it was just frozen and they stuck it in the microwave to heat up. My husband and I recently frequented the Waterlin restaurant and it was an amazing experience! The food was excellent especially the salmon, hummus and Gouda Mac and cheese. The cocktails are also very tasty which include old fashioned drinks and many other options. In addition to good food and drink the service is phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about the bartender Nicole. During every visit she has been hospitable and attentive to her customers.
