Coffee bar

This rating is for the coffee shop inside the restaurant and hotel. Excellent coffee and espresso drinks made with Stone Creek Coffee. Pretty nice interior space too. They have a menu with an assortment of baked goods and breakfast items too.

Stuffed meatloaf
Ophelia M.

Was in Menomonee Falls in need of some late night eats (9:40pm) when a quick consult with my Yelp app led me here. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by our experience here. We walked in at 9:40pm and asked if they were still serving eats. They were. Until 10pm. (the bar is open until midnight for drinks, however) So, we quickly got our order in. My dining companion went for their whiskey burger while I opted for their stuffed meatloaf. As is our typical fashion, we have a bite of each other's dinner to see who won at ordering (I live in a house full of guys...the one constant? They can turn anything, and I mean anything, into a competition). Here? There was no clear winner because both dishes were delicious. The meatloaf comes stuffed with gorgonzola, seared, and then topped with a mushroom cream sauce (with big beautiful slices of mushroom present). It was every bit as good as it sounds. Savory with a nice sharp bite of gorgonzola. For my side, I opted for the smashed baby red potatoes with olive oil, sea salt, and garlic. My mouth is watering a little bit writing about them. They were pure garlicky deliciousness. My dining companion opted for french fries, which are fried to golden perfection (and shoe string for those who fancy them). Their cocktail game did not appear strong (a lot of sweet martinis and rum drinks--not terribly exciting to us bourbon/scotch/whiskey lovers), so we both opted for beer. They had Sand Creek's chocolate oatmeal stout in a bottle, so I got that while my dining companion opted for Left Hand Brewing's milk stout. The service, as others have noted, was quite slow. But, also quite friendly. As we walked in so close to the cutoff for eats, I felt they were more than accommodating. The prices seemed incredibly reasonable. It was $40 before tip for our meals and beers. Not bad at all! Get to it!

Initial view of the veggie breakfast burrito to go.

This morning I stopped in for a veggie breakfast burrito with no beans to go, and I high expectations after having such a wonderful lunch on 1 October. Well it was an alright breakfast burrito in taste, but the price at $10 was way over priced for what I received. As the pictures note it was fairly flat and not really filled as expected for a breakfast burrito at $10. Conversely, the lunch of fish and chips at $14 were excellent and you receive a lot of food for the price point. This could have been an off morning, but still a disappointing $10 spent, but on the upside I will be back for lunch again in the near future.

Corned beef hash! Yum!! This was 4 hours after it was ordered. Still delicious!
Casey P.

Okay... my review is really only based on the Corned Beef Hash that I order before I leave on my drive to Appleton. The RBG Bar and Grill is attached to the Radisson in menomemonene (is how I say it) but it's really Menomonee Falls... lol It's not really a hash ... think Denny's skillet with Corned Beef. It's fantastic and everyone that I've shared it with have really liked it. It takes about 15 minutes so if you're in a rush, I'd call from your room to place the order. The service is always friendly and quick. The best part is if you have Concierge Level status with Club Carlson or bought the breakfast package with your hotel stay - your breakfast s free!

Cheese curds

Randomly found this place near work for a happy hour. The server was super sweet on giving suggestions and make sure we are satisfied with the food and drinks. I ordered a black walnut old fashioned and it was indeed black walnut. You can really taste the depth in the drink and it wasn't watery at all! We also ordered cheese curds and pretzel bites for appetizers and they taste great. I personally love the texture of their pretzels. They taste chewy not too soft. My friend also loved their cheese curds as well. The only down side is that the portion was small. Overall, the experience was good and the ambiance here is chill but a bit fancy too.

Black Walnut Old Fashioned

My husband and I arrived around 7:30 on Saturday night and there were only a handful of diners and a few people at the bar. For some reason we were seated at a small 2-person table against a wall even though the dining area was almost completely open. Odd seating choice. Service and atmosphere were OK. Black Walnut Old Fashioned was delicious, but we were never offer an ice selection so would not have known that was their "thing" if I hadn't read about it. We ordered the smelt appetizer (bland and under cooked), roasted red pepper and Gouda soup (excellent), grilled mushroom salad (mushrooms chewy and barely grilled but rest of salad delicious) and The Burger (tasteless). Overall, food was very underwhelming. A little seasoning would have gone a long way in all the items we tried. Very disappointing experience and I doubt we'll be back.

This is hands down the coolest restaurant in the area. It's at the front of the new Delta by Marriott hotel (Old Radisson) the whole property has been updated and is super hip and cool. They have ice for cocktails any way you like it, great craft beer and eclectic modern MidWest fair. I'll be back over and over. Food and service are awesome!

Sweet lounge area--great for groups!
Marvin M.

Very nice surprise coming upon this bar and grill. The name and signage isn't so evident that it's a bar and grill. You have to get close enough to the sign to see the smaller print describing RBG. Now that I've been there I get that the letters stand for Radisson Bar & Grill, but the logo isn't so clear. Looks more like a business office from the outside. The place is spacious and has a variety of seating areas--with different seating types. From long picnic tables for groups, to booths to tables to a lounge area wit couches and soft leather chairs, to separate rooms for groups. Food was excellent and fresh. Tomatoes and lettuce on my burger were very fresh. Sweet potato fries excellent too. Wait staff very friendly. Glad this place is close to my work place--I'll be back often with my workmates. Highly recommend.

First, I have been eating here for over 40 days, for breakfast and diner. This will continue for another five months. So I know the pretty well. The food is prepared by a season crew. The head chef is superb. If your lucky enough to have a meal prepared directly by her your in for a real treat. Think gourmet. She's a busy gal so don't go getting all I'm special on me... The M-F chef is a hulk of a man with a laugh that never fails to make me smile. It's loud, it's deep, it carries, and it's contagious. Not sure if he wants it this way but it sure sounds jolly! His meals usually hit the mark, 8 times out of 10. The weekend staff chef is pretty good but he's more the sue chef. So don't expect the world but the meals are still pretty good. The servers. We'll they have been putting up with me without so much as a crack in the exterior. Meaning a job well done for those that need it spelled out. Very low turnover. The team, it is a team here, there amazing! All of them. But the queen bee is Davis. Be kind to them. Not eating meat, the options are limited on the surface. But those that are visible are keepers. But... There are other options.... Let the servers know and doors are likely to open to menu that is not so apparent. The dishes with meat are looking pretty good though. See plenty of folks smiling while in the midst of there meals with friends. So here's the thing, I'm never in hurry. I live here... Really. So if your in a hurry it may benefit you to let them know your timeline. Meals are made to serve.

Avo. Flatbread for breakfast

We stayed at the Radisson this past week while my husband was on business. The food at RBG was great for being a hotel restaurant. For breakfast you can order from the menu or eat the buffet they have set up. The chef is a GREAT cook in the mornings so I highly recommend ordering from the menu! For lunch I order d the Cobb salad which was loaded with lots of yummy toppings.

On one of our visits the guy behind the bar was so loud and basically stood back there and drank lite the whole time. Then a local (I'm assuming) said something to the bartender and he shouted back "F**k you old man"! I asked someone at the bar does the owner know that his employee uses that kind of language? Much to my surprise he told me that the bartender is the owner! Are you kidding me? If you are visiting from out of town or new to town there are a lot better places to go that they don't use that kind of language. Not that I'm a prude or anything because I've used that language...I guess it's more shocking to hear it when you have people in your bar you've never seen. I was going to give it one star but decided I'd give it two because we just moved here and some friends of mine were in town and I thought I'd give them a second chance. We were met by a very nice bartender named Cassie. She was attentive and probably knew as an EMPLOYEE not to talk that way. Anytime someone came in she greeted them. The kicker here? The "owner" was sitting on the other side of the bar playing dice and still using that language and of course drinking miller lite. We'll go when she is working and/or their daytime bartender Ray. He knows a lot about sports and had a great conversation with my husband.

All this to say I didn't like the pick up process. It wasn't easy or welcoming. Now to the food, we ordered burgers and fries. The regular fries were undercooked and had little seasoning. The sweet potato fries were really good. The burgers however are worth going back there! The hamburger meat was seasoned well and all of the fixings were perfect.

This restaurant sits in the Mequon Public Market and legitimately has better fried fish (and chips) than St. Paul Fish Market just across the parking lot, as crazy as that sounds. They also have a respectable beer selection, plus some good cocktails on offer. Our food came out super fast, everything was hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared, and the staff was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. The food was next level. The beef birria pizza was unreal rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The honey garlic cauliflower was a surprise favorite, crispy with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. We finished with tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal. Paired it all with a sangria and it was perfection. Honestly, some of the best food I've had, period. IVR is a gem! Amazing flavors, great atmosphere, and top-tier service. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

I've visited IVR Bar several times and realized I never submitted the review I wrote. I'm happy…read morethough because after several visits I have more qualities to cover. Warning this will be a long review as a result. My review does have a few recommendations based upon my experience and one negative in #5. 1. Food The food here has consistently been very good. One of our favorites is their butter chicken pizza served on naan bread. It comes with extra butter sauce for dipping, and the flavor and consistency is so good. The pizza is full of chicken and a nice amount of cheese. The only thing I'd recommend is serving the side of butter sauce hotter. It's always much cooler than the pizza, which I've experienced more than once. Their naan bread is always soft and fresh. We've tried both the garlic naan and cheesy naan and both are so good. Buffalo wings and birria tacos served on naan were all delicious. The meat was seasoned and the rice was very good as well. The honey garlic cauliflower appetizer is tasty but the portion is quite small for $14. You'll see the serving spoon in the photo for scale it shows how small the serving is. I think lowering the price could encourage more people to order it. For $14 you might as well get some wings or a 1 topping pizza! 2. Drinks They make excellent drinks. I've had multiple martinis here and have never been disappointed. My husband ordered a Hennessy sidecar that was also very good. I went for their Thursday ladies happy hour where martinis are $5. The only drawback is that only a few specific flavors are included: blueberry, apple, cosmopolitan, and dirty martinis. I had a pineapple lemon drop martini there and hoped to get it again for the happy hour price, but it wasn't included. I think it would help if they advertised which martinis are included in the happy hour promotion so customers know what to expect. 3. Service Service has always been good during my visits. I've never had a bad experience with the staff. The dark skinned host has seated my family several times and is always friendly and welcoming. We're always seated immediately because they're never busy when we go. 4. Atmosphere & Entertainment There's usually about 2-3 other parties in the dinning room and a few patrons at the bar when I've visited. The lighting is dim and the vibe is relaxed. They have plenty televisions throughout the dining room and bar. The dining room has a 4 way TV in the center. If you're into sports they don't miss. They also have a few slot machines near the bar. 5. Cleanliness Overall cleanliness has been acceptable, but there are a few things that could be improved. I have noticed gnats on multiple visits. It's not a swarm but they are noticeable. More so this time with multiple sweet martinis at our table. With them using fresh fruit and syrups for cocktails, I imagine that isn't helping. The bathrooms appear to have been updated and look nice. There wasn't any odor, but the trash can could have been emptied or pushed down. 6. Menu & Communication One area where they could improve is marketing. Their website and social media advertise events or specials without explaining the details. For example, the flyer in my photos show tacos and tequilas night. With flight of tequila samples and tacos for $65/person. How many tacos and tequila samples does one get? How much tequila per sample? What would I be paying for? More social media presence, photos of their food in the happy hour posts and more details of specials would bring in more customers. I'm a Yelp and social media lady! I do a little research before deciding on new spots. I'm not scrolling through 20 posts a restaurant shares to get to food videos or images. I expect the to grab my attention immediately. It's so close to many big offices, factories, and various businesses. They should be busy always. I've seen multiple restaurants come and go in this same building over the last 12 years. I'm hopeful they'll be more present to increase their customer base. Another improvement would be adding more vegan options. When I was avoiding meat and dairy earlier this year, I noticed they listed the Garlic honey cauliflower online as vegan but it was labeled vegetarian on the menu on the table, which could be confusing for someone strictly following a vegan diet. 7. Loyalty Program One thing they do very well is their rewards system. They track points through your credit card, and we've received $5 off simply from returning. That's a great feature that more locally owned restaurants could learn from. So you're wondering if I would go back? Yes, I plan on it. Although I'm hopeful they consider my recommendations. Would I recommend it? Yes the food is good! The service is good! I've never had to wait! If you've never tried Indian food before this is a great place to start. They serve familiar foods with Indian flavors which may be helpful with easing in.
