This used to be where a Ruby Tuesday was. Came with my family for a weekday breakfast while in town and it was a great little spot! Service was quick and server was very nice. Food was good quantity for the price and was plentiful and kept us full through lunch. Had delicious variety and would definitely stop in again next time I'm in town to see family. Service is always great, they accommodated a party of 12 without a reservation (I recommend reservations if you can it will definitely cut down wait time and be helpful for the employees to be aware ahead of time). We had our first visit here in a Friday at 10am. We were seated quickly. This place was huge. I got the California omelet and my husband got the gyro skillet and a Bloody Mary. We had a group of six gathering for a birthday brunch and were glad to find that Park Place takes reservations. We arrived at our reservation time and our group of six was able to be seated straight away. It's rare to find a spot that has a full brunch menu in addition to espresso drinks but Park Place has both! I was able to order a turtle mocha which was delicious. For my main dish, I got one of their omelets. It came with basil, goat cheese, and pine nuts for a very pesto, flavorful omelet. I was pleased to find that ordering it made with egg whites is an option! For my side, I got hashbrowns, which were crispy and good. I will say that my dining companion got their home fried potatoes and those looked outstanding--I would likely go for that next time. The service was lovely and the prices are reasonable. I've visited Park Place Cafe a couple of times over the past few years. Each visit has been a positive one in terms of food quality. Everything I've ordered has been prepared well, and the staff keeps the space clean and welcoming. The menu is large, offering both breakfast and lunch options, and the food itself is solid. Here's the run down on my experience. 1-3 positive, 4 & 5 concerns. 1. The pancakes- fluffy and taste just as you'd expect a typical pancake. Not over or underwhelmed. 2. The bacon- it's thick and was cooked to the crispiness I requested. 3. The breakfast potatoes are your standard diner style fried potato cubes. 4. Wait time- you're likely going to have a 20+ minute wait on the weekends. The waiting area gets pretty crowded. 5. The parking lot-Too small. Every time I've gone I've had to ride around a few times waiting on someone to leave. This appears to be the norm. I've actually left before because the lot was full without any cars leaving. 6. The pricing- On the higher side for what's offered. The prices reflect what I'd expect at a more upscale brunch spot rather than a small diner style restaurant. While the food is good, for the cost of a basic breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and potatoes, I'd prefer to dine somewhere with a more elevated ambiance or a menu that offers more value. Now don't get me wrong, Park Place stays busy likely because it's one of the few breakfast options in the immediate area and they do deliver good, consistent food. However, given the number of other family owned spots across the city that provide more variety and value for a similar price point, this wouldn't be my first choice. To answer your question the only way I'd return is out of convenience after church if someone asked me to join them there. Would I recommend them? Went there for breakfast on a Saturday with my family of four. I ordered the grilled cheese with ham, while the rest of my family ordered breakfast. My husband ordered their non-alcoholic strawberry drink special and I ordered a tea and everyone else had water. Food came out pretty quickly, but not all at once. My grilled cheese was very cheesy, which isn't a bad thing, but the ham is a thicker cut, so be weary of ordering the sandwich if you don't like a thick cut ham. Everyone thought their food was just mediocre and nothing special. Service was okay. Place is pretty spacious and seemed clean. I wouldn't go back there. read more

We had an amazing server Sarah and the owner Mila were very friendly and super nice. We came back two more times the food was so darn good and delicious. If you don't find something awesome here I'd be surprised. They should get a Michelin star for just being good basic homemade food the way it should be made with love. The husband and wife team who own the restaurant put a lot of love and care into this spot. The restrooms were very clean and were being kept up even shortly after opening so all the guests have the same great experience. I've eaten at a lot of 5 star hotel restaurants, and their food didn't even come close to this for breakfast. Pancakes, Waffles, Crepes, Potato's and Omlettes best ever compared to Ritz Carlton & Four Seasons they got them beat hands down. Well worth the drive if you're not close. This last time was my fourth visit for breakfast at Park Place Cafe. The service was mediocre and the food came out way too fast. I ordered the steak skillet with three poached eggs and cheddar cheese; no bell peppers. What I received for my 18.00 was an extremely overcooked, dried out and flavorless skillet that resembled nothing like the first time I had it on my first visit. Who can't poach an egg? The whole point of a poached egg is to create a sauce for the rest of the skillet. These eggs were hard boiled! It seemed like it was cooked in a microwave. Way overpriced, over cooked food served by chefs who clearly do not care for their customers. I won't go back for a fifth time. Just too many inconsistencies. And forget the ambience: how can you have ambience when there are literally no customers in the place at 9:00 in the morning? I'm done. read more

the food here was phenomenal!! the soups were my personal fave because i often go to breakfast places and their soup is underwhelming and tastes like sink water, but the dumpling soup was soooo tasty and the cream of broccoli was one of the best i have tried! french toast absolutely hit the spot, esp with the berries in it. chicken was perfectly fried and the wrap was even better! you can tell they make their own ranch which makes such a difference in taste. their orange juice was freshly made and soooo addicting. we ordered more to go! the overall ambiance was pretty plain and boring, nothing really exciting or cool about it. the staff was helpful as well too. overall, the place is definitely worth it for the food!! read more

Was in the area and wanted a place with brunch options on a weekday but also kid friendly. So many choices on the menu!! I personally couldn't make up my mind so I asked the waitress to pick between eggs Benedict and the Gyro Skillet and she recommended the skillet with hash browns. I visited Park Place Cafe not once, but twice over 2 days. If you want a no-frills, delicious breakfast, then you have to come here. The first trip I just got the Country Breakfast consisting of pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, and sausage (or choice meat). It was your traditional breakfast and it was good. The second time I went, I got a skillet because I wanted something more than a traditional breakfast. A skillet is basically an omelet but served with hash browns or diced potatoes, cheddar cheese, and pancakes. Each skillet is a preset list of ingredients. I chose the California skillet: bacon, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, Swiss cheese, hollandaise sauce and fresh avocado. It made me feel better that I was eating an assortment of vegetables for my meal. The pancakes were huge and covered the plate. Served with a scoop of butter and warm syrup, they definitely hit the sweet tooth spot. Last but not least, the orange juice is FRESH. They have this coolest juicer that fresh squeezes the oranges and it's made to order. I love this breakfast spot! read more

I had lunch with a friend here today. We hadn't seen each other in years and wanted a place where we could talk and catch up over good food. This place was amazing! The restaurant practices social distancing and takes precautions to keep guests and workers safe so mask up and be prepared to use sanitizer at the door. Then, you'll be seated in a sanitized booth or table and greeted by a masked server or one of the owners (or both). The owners are busy working on the floor in the restaurant -- helping to keep things sanitized, supporting the wait staff, helping in the kitchen, and checking that the guests are satisfied. I, however, didn't get the sense they were hovering about. Their interest felt genuine and their hard work was commendable! The food! Oy! It was delicious! My friend recommended the mushroom & spinach omelette -- which comes with toast and potatoes. It was amazingly wonderful. It was a hugh portion but seasoned, prepared, and presented well. Nothing fancy -- no weird ingredients! Nothing French! No funky sauce that I couldn't pronounce just good old fashioned breakfast with farm fresh tasting products that were familiar -- eggs, cheese, butter, mushrooms, potatoes, onions, spinach, sour dough toast. Nothing was burnt or garnished with some goofy thing I couldn't eat! Just good hot food! It was so good that I forgot to order juice and ended up truly enjoying drinking water! That never happens!!! The service -- also well done! Our server was pleasant and efficient. She knew the menu and recognized my friend who is a regular customer. She paced the meal well and was attentive without being a pest! She asked if we needed condiments so we didn't have to beg and wait for them. A job well done even as the restaurant got busier. I never had that sense that she had moved on to more important customers as the restaurant filled. I will definitely go back to this restaurant. It's a nice place located near the highway. I'm told it gets busy sometimes. I can see why. With food and service this good, I would definitely stand in line to eat here. I'm told, people do just that! read more

The food: zero love, flavorless, you can tell they cook on the cheap (fake maple syrup you have to shake out of a bottle? are you serious?); my eggs benedict toast was burnt; fresh squeezed OJ was room temp and bitter; steak was tough.
