chai lattes - Two red ceramic mugs filled with frothy beverages, likely lattes, are placed on a polished wooden table. The drinks have a dusting of cinnamon or cocoa powder on top. The background shows a cafe interior with chairs and tables, slightly out of focus, indicating a casual dining environment.

Been to Ally's several times before. Mostly for breakfast. This time I met a friend for a breakfast. It's a nice location, an upscale stripmall. with a good size parking lot. Lots of places to sit, in the main dining room, outside on the patio, or at the bar area. Plenty of natural light coming through the large windows. Although the breakfast menu doesn't have pages of items that see at some diners, they have all the most popular items including sandwiches, wraps, omelettes and avocado toast. You order at the counter, get a number, and they bring you the food. Easy peasy! Got here around 8am, and they were starting to get busy. Super friendly staff that were helpful with our orders. We ordered the Avocado Toast (with an fried egg), and a veggie omelet. It didn't take long for the order to hit our table. Nice portions, good flavors, and the omelette was plenty hot. We also got a couple of chai lattes. Got them in mugs, with extra foam. And they added a sprinkle of cinnamon to make it special :) While we were eating we got plenty of attention, checking on our meal, and clearing dirty dishes. We stayed for nearly 2 hours, and never felt like we had to rush out. Great spot for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

    BLT Wrap w/Fresh Apples

Fresh, fast and really good food. Choice of Full Service or Deli Counter ordering. Food is delivered to your table even if you choose to order at the counter. My BLT Wrap was awesome and I loved the choice of fresh apples vs. Kettle Chips. My Chicken Noodle Soup was also very tasty and the cup was a generous portion. (However it was so good I wish I would have orders a bowl!)

I stopped in here quickly to pick up breakfast and was wowed by all the locals inside. The place was packed and had a ton of pickup orders. I ordered there and waited, but my order didn't take long at all. The food (breakfast burrito) was fabulous and the coffee was very tasty. Great spot for breakfast and I bet lunch is amazing as well!

We're rarely in this area, but happened to be over the weekend and my husband noted that Ally's is a great spot. We decided to give it a go for Saturday lunch. He wasn't wrong, it's nice here! Not just your average deli. The restaurant is well-kept, the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable, and the food is quality. Plys, I'm a fan of order-from-the-counter casual spots. They were quick to take our order and equally as fast to bring out the food. I was starving and very excited to tuck into a big sammie, which is just what I got with the Dilled Chicken Salad Sandwich. It had a really great flavor and wasn't too mayo-y like some chicken salads tend to be. Also the rye bread was so squishy and delicious. It seemed fresh baked. My husband really enjoyed his Chicken Capri sandwich as well, which came off the panini menu. There are a few options for sides, like chips and salsa, apple slices, or kettle chips. Our meals were delicious and worth the price. However, we also got the avocado toast for our son, and it was really just sub-par. Something we likely wouldn't pay $10+ again. I would undoubtedly return here to try some of the many, many other options on their menu. Honestly so many delicious sounding dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

I stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town to start my morning. The place is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The restaurant has two sides with the bar area having table service and the cafe having walk up to the counter service so I went to the bar side. The place has a music decor with music memorabilia and instruments on the walls. I would order a Bloody Mary and the village breakfast. The Bloody Mary was average with a cube of cheese, pickle and a bacon strip. The village breakfast is 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and toast. My food came quickly and I noticed that this is one of those places that gives you one piece of toast cut in half so my second egg is useless because I can only make one toast sandwich, when did we move away from 2 pieces of toast that I'm noticing in the last couple years. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The wheat toast was nicely toasted. The extra crispy hash browns with added onion were delicious. The sausage patties were horrible because they were so bland and had no pork sausage flavor and maybe they were a turkey sausage but not good at all.

    Chicken Noodle Soup ???

Second visit here and an okay experience. I had the half wrap and soup. The wrap was small but was decent. The Chicken Noodle Soup was unfortunately the worst I have ever had, did not even eat it. I'd recommend a new recipe possibly for the restaurant or not recommend this to others. It also would be nice if there were some options for kids with protein like grilled chicken or a burger. I feel as though there is a quite a bit of room for improvement.

    Leanne's Breakfast Special Waffle

I usually go to Ally's bistro for the amazing clam chowder but today I decided to try it for breakfast. Any place that has a waffle meal is good in my book! I ordered the Leanne's special and it came out pretty quickly. The food could have been warmer but overall it was a solid breakfast meal for the price. The waffle was fluffy but still had a bit of crispness to it and the bacon was good and cooked well. It looks like the breakfast menu has a bunch more options and they also do lunch and dinner here so I would definitely come back to try more. It's a good casual place to go and grab food.

Menu is slightly different from it's sister cafe in Wauwatosa Service is much better in Wauwatosa in my opinion

BBQ Turkey Panini - A toasted turkey panini sandwich with melted cheese and sliced turkey is placed on a tray lined with parchment paper. The sandwich is cut in half, revealing the ingredients inside. Accompanying the sandwich are tortilla chips and a small cup of red sauce. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant, with a dark drink and a dark-colored table visible in the background.

Ally's Bistro is my favorite spot for a quick lunch whenever I'm in the area. My usual order is the BBQ Turkey Panini. The staff is friendly and food comes out fairly quickly. It is a great local staple!

Ally's Classic Breakfast Sandwich - The image shows a white round plate with two slices of toasted bread, a small white bowl filled with mixed fresh fruit including strawberries, grapes, melon, and blueberries, and a small dollop of yellow mustard. The plate is placed on a wooden surface, and the toast appears golden brown with a light, airy texture.

As soon as we walked in the NOISE smacks you right in the face and ears. The restaurant was spacious and clean with a nice menu but the NOISE makes it almost unbearable. My wife ordered the Crème brûlée French toast which looked good but was extremely sweet and quickly turned mushy. She would not order it again. My mother in law ordered French toast and bacon. The bacon was hard and difficult for her to eat and the French toast was average. I ordered a BLT, added an egg to make it a BELT, and then added cheese to make it a BELTCH sandwich with crispy fries and a cup of chicken dumpling soup which came with the meal. I even told the waitress that I hate soggy limp fries. Because I lost my smell and taste 5 months ago I asked my wife to try the soup, and when she took 2 spoons I knew she liked it and she told me it tasted good. My sandwich was nice and thick, full of good food and the lettuce was very fresh but they were hot house tomatoes. My fries arrived COLD and SOGGY . I would order it again, however, I doubt we will ever return to the restaurant. The WOMENs restroom is under construction so they have to share with the men and I would think that a restaurant that size with only one functioning restroom is a health code violation. While waiting in line to use the men's restroom, a very nice lady told me that it's been under construction for a very long time. I noticed that there were 4 men inside of the restroom standing around TALKING and NO WORK was being done. They made sure to try to keep the door closed every time someone walked by. I sure hope that they are not being paid by the hour. If you try out the restaurant, Take ear plugs and schedule extra time for your visit. The restaurant is average at best,

The gravy was yummy but the biscuit was a little too filling for me with how heavy the rest of the dish was - I'm sure people love it but it just wasn't for me. The cheesy hash browns were amazing, I mean who doesn't like cheesy hash browns.... This place is a classic family restaurant style/atmosphere but with more food options/variety. Their website has a popup on the home page saying it comes with fried haddock, potato pancakes, applesauce, and rye bread, but the popup doesn't list the price and it isn't available through the online ordering function. I ended up calling in an order to go, substituting wheat bread for the rye, and also added a piece of lemon ginger coffee cake. The lemon ginger coffee cake tasted fine, but man was it dry. Like Sahara Desert dry. Maybe this was an anomaly and their other baked goods are better, but I'd be hesitant to try them based on this coffee cake. Even though the website says the side is potato pancakes with applesauce, my fish fry came with fries. They ended up being the best part of the meal, which I certainly wasn't expecting. Still, I was disappointed cause I prefer potato pancakes and was given their inclusion as an expectation. The wheat bread itself was ok, but the butter was oddly unsalted. The fish, of which there was three pieces, was battered with a hint of beer, but like the butter for the bread there was no salt to speak of in the batter. As much as I didn't enjoy the unsalted butter for the bread, not having salt in the batter for the fish managed to be more unpleasant. Maybe Blue's Egg should just stick with serving breakfast items instead of adding something temporary that they clearly aren't pros at.
