I was in the area for a doctors appt at Froedtert and really needed some lunch. I was looking for a healthier option within a 10 minute distance from the hospital and that's how I stumbled upon Ally's. First impression: very easy parking, huge bistro with plenty of seating, and easy ordering. I ordered a veggie wrap with avocado and a berry smoothie to-go. Everything was ready in about 5 minutes and it all tasted good! The staff was also friendly and helpful. The smoothie was very refreshing on this 90 degree day and the wrap was flavorful with the red pepper hummus. I have to admit, ordering both the wrap and the smoothie for myself was a lot but I was really hungry and had skipped breakfast. Overall, a good experience! Would definitely come back. read more

Our waitress was very cheery, but she needs some basic waitress training. I had to ask for water. She forgot, so I asked a bus girl for water who forgot to bring it. I had to ask the waitress again for water. My husband and I had finished our meal and our plates were not removed for quite awhile while the waitress was busy clearing the dishes from a table of 10 that had left. She dropped the pen on the floor, and gave me the dirty pen from the floor to me to sign my credit card receipt. When she brought our to go container to the table, I had nowhere to place it because of the dirty dishes on the table. She didn't notice this. I don't expect 5-star service at a local casual place like Ally's, but I do expect some degree of professionalism from the wait staff. The Friday fish fry perch was very good and prepared well. Always a great experience at Ally's! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the food comes out quickly. Lunch is usually quite busy - we found a table on the patio and enjoyed our sandwiches outside. I usually get one of their salads, or the chicken salad and the roasted red pepper soup (so good!), but today I went with a capri panini. Very good! Pics are from a prior visit Went yesterday for brunch. Sat in bar section to get service. They were short handed so the bartender finally came over to wait on us after quite a while. The croissant breakfast sandwich was good but the bacon was cooked to nearly dust on one end for some reason. I snapped it off and ate the rest. I asked for crispy but not great hash browns. They were crispy. Check. But also greasy and worse, cold. Not even hardly warm. When she came to check, she asked how things were and I said "Eh" and was about to let her know but she left. So I had to take them home which I explained when I asked someone else for a box (told her they had been served cold but she said nothing). As a note, reheated they were very greasy and not good. The Leanne's special with waffle and eggs and bacon was good. That bacon was cooked right. We also ordered the kids' chicken tenders with fries which were good (but we were overcharged for them which required us to point that out after the check came to get it fixed). Overall, would try here again for breakfast but disappointing as I've been coming here since 2012 when they first opened and had very limited hours and prior to the multiple remodels and expansion next door. read more

Been here a few times. Place is always busy during lunch. Steady stream of customers. Staff is friendly. There are 2 sides, table service and self serve. The self serve side is a bit tight on space. Bright and basic. Table service side is a bit more modern with darker tones. Food has been good each time. Decent menu for a bistro. About $20 a person for lunch. Sides are limited to chips or apples slices, of which, neither agree with me. Would be nice to have a couple more options. read more

Ordered pickup for lunch as I was craving their amazing red pepper Gouda soup, which was amazing as always. Also got the number 4 panini, it was excellent. My wife had the bbq chicken pizza and really liked it. We also got some desserts and you can't go wrong with the buckeye and the peanut butter pie. I need to get here more often! My BLT Wrap was awesome and I loved the choice of fresh apples vs. Kettle Chips. My Chicken Noodle Soup was also very tasty and the cup was a generous portion. In my opinion best chicken salad sandwich around. I get it on a croissant. This is my go to. I hear everything is fresh and tasty.

I stopped in here quickly to pick up breakfast and was wowed by all the locals inside. The place was packed and had a ton of pickup orders. I ordered there and waited, but my order didn't take long at all. The food (breakfast burrito) was fabulous and the coffee was very tasty. We're rarely in this area, but happened to be over the weekend and my husband noted that Ally's is a great spot. We decided to give it a go for Saturday lunch. He wasn't wrong, it's nice here! Not just your average deli. The restaurant is well-kept, the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable, and the food is quality. Plys, I'm a fan of order-from-the-counter casual spots. They were quick to take our order and equally as fast to bring out the food. I was starving and very excited to tuck into a big sammie, which is just what I got with the Dilled Chicken Salad Sandwich. It had a really great flavor and wasn't too mayo-y like some chicken salads tend to be. Also the rye bread was so squishy and delicious. It seemed fresh baked. My husband really enjoyed his Chicken Capri sandwich as well, which came off the panini menu. There are a few options for sides, like chips and salsa, apple slices, or kettle chips. Our meals were delicious and worth the price. However, we also got the avocado toast for our son, and it was really just sub-par. Something we likely wouldn't pay $10+ again. I was pleasantly surprised by Ally's! After a Menomonee Falls Costco run I searched for a nearby place with good salads, and the highly rated Ally's popped up. Very nicely decorated with a mid-century touch and Beatles and classic rock memorabilia, and they have live music on designated nights. My choice was the simple but quite delicious Mediterranean chopped salad with chicken. I could tell that it had been prepared with care. The staff were so very welcoming and charming! The restaurant has two sides with the bar area having table service and the cafe having walk up to the counter service so I went to the bar side. The place has a music decor with music memorabilia and instruments on the walls. I would order a Bloody Mary and the village breakfast. The Bloody Mary was average with a cube of cheese, pickle and a bacon strip. The village breakfast is 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and toast. My food came quickly and I noticed that this is one of those places that gives you one piece of toast cut in half so my second egg is useless because I can only make one toast sandwich, when did we move away from 2 pieces of toast that I'm noticing in the last couple years. The eggs were perfect sunny side up. The wheat toast was nicely toasted. The extra crispy hash browns with added onion were delicious. The sausage patties were horrible because they were so bland and had no pork sausage flavor and maybe they were a turkey sausage but not good at all. read more

My employer orders their food for meeting catering at times, today being one of the days! Based on what we chose to order, there were trays of half sandwiches and wraps, cookies, kettle chips and chicken noodle soup. I tried the Waldorf Tuna Salad on wheat which was pretty good! Online it says they use Swiss for this sandwich (not a fan normally) but with this sandwich it works! The veggie dill wrap was okay, I liked the dill dressing but overall lacked some flavor. It was still nice to have a veggie option! Their food tastes and looks fresh and I'd definitely try their food if I was in the area. I see online they have other offerings and daily specialties on the regular menu. The chocolate chunk 1/2 cookie was the perfect end to the meal. read more

I usually go to Ally's bistro for the amazing clam chowder but today I decided to try it for breakfast. Any place that has a waffle meal is good in my book! I ordered the Leanne's special and it came out pretty quickly. The food could have been warmer but overall it was a solid breakfast meal for the price. The waffle was fluffy but still had a bit of crispness to it and the bacon was good and cooked well. It looks like the breakfast menu has a bunch more options and they also do lunch and dinner here so I would definitely come back to try more. It's a good casual place to go and grab food. read more

Second visit here and an okay experience. I had the half wrap and soup. The wrap was small but was decent. The Chicken Noodle Soup was unfortunately the worst I have ever had, did not even eat it. I'd recommend a new recipe possibly for the restaurant or not recommend this to others. It also would be nice if there were some options for kids with protein like grilled chicken or a burger. Justin absolutely crushes it every time, made me a special latte and was very personable. He also performs music and I'm looking forward to attending a show, the chicken Caesar salad is dynamite, highly recommended. The main dining room can get a bit noisy but they have a back room that usually happens to be more quite and you can carry a conversation in the Beatles bar easily. Highly Recommend! Ten of us agreed that our Friday Fish Fry at Ally's Bistro was one of the BEST EVER! Cod and Perch were equally terrific. Be sure to choose the perfectly prepared potato pancakes which were super tasty with either the apple sauce or the maple syrup. Service was prompt, friendly and generally outstanding. My daughter & I ordered breakfast Friday January 15th for carry out. I noticed inside was very clean, spacing in between the tables for customer's for social distancing, all employees wore masks & cleaning was done while I was their on the doors. I ordered our food & the cashier offered me a cup for water while I waited which was very courteous. Our daughter had the Leanne's special which included 1 big waffle, eggs & 2 slices of bacon & I had the 2 breakfast sliders w/ hash browns meal. We came in last week with a party of 5 at 1130 and fortunately got the last large table. This restaurant requires you to order and pay at the counter and then a person delivers your food to your table. We ordered sandwiches, soup, chips and drinks and all food was delicious. Ally's is one of my go-to's! Their happy hour wine specials are clutch, but even better their food is what makes this place a hidden gem!! My personal favorite is their smothered cod, which is topped with a shrimp scampi sauce and sides of wild rice and roasted green beans. The ingredients are always fresh and prepared consistently from one visit to the next! Their waitstaff is always friendly and since this is more of a "neighborhood" bar/bistro, you often see a few familiar faces. Ally's is definitely worth a visit (or a few)! Great place for fresh made lunch. I had the chicken, roasted grapes, and Brie on a croissant, not the usual sliced deli chicken. I believe it was hand carved and it was delicious! My wife had the dill chicken salad on a croissant and it also was extremely good. She also had the cream of mushroom soup, one of her favorites. They also had chocolate chip muffins, my favorites, so I had to have one. It was very good. You place an order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Ally's Bistro is our go-to lunch brunch spot for meeting up with old friends. We never pick another place to meet because Ally's is always spot on. My first big decision is if I want to have breakfast or lunch. This past visit, only lunch was available & I settled on the portabella sandwich special. The cheese & herbs melted in my mouth. My side was crunchy, fresh apples for the win. The coffee is always hot and fresh, with plenty of extra options and water too. I'm not a vegetarian, but I do like to change it up & this was a good pick. The service is always friendly and speedy to the table & they always pick up our dishes for us while we chat. The restaurant is bright, clean & always decorated with fresh flowers for that extra touch. I noticed they have gluten-free options as well. Next time, I think I'm going to try the Cuban wrap. Ally's is a lovely little bistro in the Falls offering up a variety of wraps, sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, and pasta in a charming environment. Came here with a group of four for dinner. Their dining room is lovely, but as it was a beautiful evening, we opted to sit on their patio. The patio was flanked with flowers and offered comfortable seating. A word of warning: If it's mosquito season, sitting on their patio isn't the best idea (not their fault, of course! But, the mosquitos were relentless). I ordered their classic cheeseburger with a side of sweet potato fries. Love when sweet potato fries are even an option! They were perfectly cooked with a nice sprinkling of sea salt and a slightly sweet sauce for dipping. I was a little underwhelmed by the burger, which was pretty basic and a little lacking in flavor. Two of my dining companions went for their pasta dishes (one for the tortellini and the other for their chicken marsala). Both looked (and smelled!) divine. I would definitely come back to give their pasta or maybe one of their wraps a try. We were there earlier in the evening (around 6:30pm), but musicians were arriving as we departed.
