The quesitos were super flaky and tasted yummy they just lacked some of the cream cheese filling that I love. The service was pretty good also. The toast was toasted and I think this is the first time we've had a well-seasoned mash that doesn't need extra salt+pepper? Awesome! There was lots of bacon which was yummy for me, but maybe a bit too much for the average joe. Pretty solid avocado toast! M'lady got a Café con Leche for her drink. Hmmm a pretty nice and deep latte, but we're no connoisseurs, so not too much to say on it... still a nice cup of joe to start the day. We also got a Quesito to share since I am a big fan of cheese rolls. This roll was ok compared to ones I've had in the past, but those may have been different variations as well. I thought the syrup on-top was an interesting take from the sugar crystals I am used to. I also found that this roll did not have much of a cheese filling. A nice flaky pastry with lots of cream was what I was expecting, but I found the inside to be almost dry, or at least I didn't see much after I took a bite. A lovely place to start the day with fun drinks and yummy food! They also had some additional apparel items for sale and I think lil specialty markets like that are always awesome and a great way to introduce others into other cultures with specialty snacks and trinkets like that. I wish some of the items fit more into what I was expecting, but still very yummy. I would love to come back to try their other food options since ours were pretty good, and I'd also love to try their other pastry items as well! It had a great texture and was topped with sliced almonds and a drizzle of chocolate. They warmed it up, so the filling was perfectly soft and gooey. Service: The service was super friendly. These were essentially muffins that were cooked on a cookie sheet and not a muffin tin. Had great muffing texture, not the tender/dry/crumble that you get with a real scone. I did ask, and apparently they make everything from scratch in house. When we arrived, there were just several tables of customers, but within the hour the entire place filled up. This particular location has plenty of space for different size groups. You can choose between the downstairs area, an upstairs space, or a nicely appointed outdoor patio. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The baristas are usually high quality, but occasionally you will get someone who is either in training or using their own techniques. Today was a good example of that challenge. My usual London Fog Tea Latte was a surprise. You can check out the pictures. Whoever made it steeped the tea in the cup and then poured the steamed milk over the top, instead of removing the steeper and then adding the milk. No worries. I went back and they were happy to fix it. The reworked one was a bit cooler than I like, but the texture was much better. The bakery here is good too. There is a nice selection, though it does not taste as fresh as if it were made on site. I always ask to have bakery items warmed up, which I think improves the taste.

It was sweet (but not overly so) and delicious. For my lunch, I got their turkey pesto panini, which was absolutely delicious. They did not skimp on any of the ingredients with plenty of pesto, turkey, and provolone as well as a delicious layer of flavorful roma tomatoes. They have plenty of seating in their open and airy dining room. The service was lovely. It's a bit slower than some other coffee spots to get your coffee but it's a bit fancier as well. The only thing I'll note to give folks a heads up is the prices. They're definitely in line with your more artisanal coffee spots, which is to say: they're higher than a lot of coffee spots as well. My dining companion and I each got the turkey panini and a 16 oz latte and it was $50 after a modest tip. So, just something to be aware of. All in all--a delicious but maybe not daily spot! We opted for a box of 6 pastries, ranging in taste and size, and my Honey Almond latte and I was in literal heaven. The pastries are HUGE and we happily split with family.
