A-OK Fish Fry Friday choice that kept up the live music through the COVID19 crisis. Wonderful real jazz band, played outdoors in an odd set up that could be easily heard and enjoyed from the outdoor seating area but not seen. They played facing the parking lot, and the band clearly has a local fan base because much of the audience brought lawn chairs and took up positions in the parking area to face the band. It was a bit confusing approaching, there's an in charge looking woman at a podium who looks very much like the host, but she's actually coordinating the busy curbside pick up. She helpfully guides new customers inside to where the real host is hiding and then you end up back outside on the other side. Always great food. The employees remember you as a frequent customer. I can always get timely delicious food here. Clean, wide open, and always feel welcome whether you bring the kids or meeting with friends or family. They have a great back room where I have heard you can use for parties. Corona Virus has prevented us from taking Mom out to brunch for Mothers Day. RATS! Enter Ally's Bistro to the rescue! Last week, Ally's took pre-orders for a curbside Mom's Day Brunch with pickup on Saturday. (They aren't usually open on Sunday.) We ordered a quiche, cinnamon rolls and DIY bloody Mary's. You read that right, Do It Yourself Bloody Marys - just add vodka. (Or gin, or nothing, if that's your preference.) The meal was picked up at noon on Saturday, as promised. Everything was neatly packed. Now, we can't really go have brunch with Mom. Mine has a difficult zip code and my mother-in-law is locked down in a senior living center. There is a table in the outer lobby at the facility where we can leave a package of cinnamon rolls and the staff will deliver it to Mom. (Without eating them, I hope!) Not the same, but best we can do in this period of corn teen. The veggie quiche came carefully packed in a solid box along with reheating instructions. The cinnamon rolls were delicious although a little crispy being a day old. Our fault, we could have ordered them frozen with baking instructions and frosting on the side. That was too much like work for Sunday morning, so a little dryness was completely acceptable. As for the DIY Bloody Mary - everything you need to make a Wisconsin Bloody is right there. Just transfer it to an iced glass pre-loaded with the spirit of your choice (or no, if you prefer a Virgin Mary) and garnish with the supplied salad. Ordered a Fish Fry and was told it would be ready at 7:00pm. Arrived at 7:03 and was told it wasn't ready yet by a young man at the counter. Paid the bill in advance and took a seat at the front door. At 7:20 the hostess noticed that I was still waiting. She went behind that counter and my food was seating there. I could feel that the food was not very good warm at this point and was probably seating there for at least 15 minutes. My concern has to do with the first employee (the young man) who originally told me my order wasn't ready yet. Despite the fact that I made eye contcontact with him several times while waiting he never made the effort to check for my order after I paid the bill. I wrongly assumed that the person who told me my order wasn't ready yet would be on the lookout for my order when it was put behind the counter. My food was cold and not very appealing to eat. Food is excellent and always with fresh ingredients. On occasion, the service can be a little slow, but its not a show stopper.

Went to Ally's for lunch. It's a deli style ordering process and then they bring the food to your table. I ordered the Rueben and it was fantastic. Crispy bread, tasty corned beef, sauerkraut, and sauce. Chips and salsa were also excellent. read more

Always pleased with Ally's! Food is delicious, welcoming staff, clean, indoor and outdoor dining. One of our favorite places to eat. We also did carry out for Mother's Day! As they are not open-on Sunday we picked up our order on Saturday morning and they gave us directions to warm up our brunch. We had delicious French toast and 2 different quiches. We had 7 of us and had left overs. It was easy and a fantastic way to celebrate with a delicious meal. Highly recommend! read more

Food in the restaurant is typically good. Nice local atmosphere. We've had their catering a three times in the last month, however, and have been underwhelmed by the wraps. They are sliced in half and displayed nicely, but the amount of meat inside is so sad. We're talking one piece of sliced chicken right at the opening where it's insides are displayed and then the rest mostly lettuce once you're past that top bite. read more

Hadn't been here in a few years and what a treat this was! Since we got there at the tail end of breakfast and nearing lunchtime, we thought why not both? So glad we did! The peach smoothie was like drinking fresh picked peaches through a straw. The Belgian waffle was light and fluffy deliciousness. Panini's thoroughly stuffed with ample vegetables with a choice of kettle chips but I opted for the tortilla chips and salsa which were very good. The power greens salad was enough to share especially with the sandwiches and wow what a salad! It had everything you could think of in a power bowl. From fruit to nuts with an option to add salmon which we did. My oh my the banana split smoothie was like a dessert so we had that first. Never had anything like it before so that was very special. If you haven't checked out this place, it's worth the drive and a new central location coming soon in Wauwatosa this summer. Can't wait! read more

The music, the décor, the presentation, the food. The waffles are dope, the wraps are delicious, the soups can be their flagships. The only reason Dirt did this review is to add one more 5-star rating to this place. Absolutely anything to keep this place up and running. Dirtee has actually mourned the cancellation of a sandwich from their menu so hard he poured a 40. He dressed in black and cried for that au jus. The place is chill and the staff care. Put simply, this is like a much better Panera. The food is fresh and simple, but packs a lot of flavor and doesn't taste generic. My wrap was great (it was also surprisingly filling) and my mom substituted blueberries on her salad with raspberries and said it was fantastic! We'll be back for sure! read more
