I've never had bad service when I've went here. While the employees, and who I assume is the manager based on demeanor and look, are a little bit brusquer than employees at other Jimmy John's locations, they've never once screwed up my order or been rude to me. I usually order ahead of time to make sure I'm not waiting in line or messing with delivery, and I normally give at least a 5 minute window between ordering and arriving, and I've never once had to wait for my order to be ready. It's always waiting on the shelf when I arrive, and I love that it's simply a great grab-and-go option after ordering on the app. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5-star rating is because of the recent quality of the meat I received with my sandwich. I've included pictures with this review, and you can see that it is slightly off-colored, especially the ham. This place is right down the road from where my husband and I work. So it's convenient if we have a lunch mishap. Unfortunately, they are the slowest fast food place I've ever been to. Somehow even though they are less than a mile away from our work, it takes them a half hour between the status of "Out for Delivery" and actually getting delivered. Not the end of the world, I am already at work and I won't miss work if it doesn't get here on my lunch break. I just eat at my desk. Today, however, was the day that reached the end of Grace. I originally had my order set to 11:30, I called to have it changed to 12:30. The Gentleman that helped me was very nice about it. We arrive a little after 12:30 for curbside pickup. I call in, they said they would be right out. At 12:50, we still haven't gotten our food yet. So we decide to go inside and find out whats taking so long. Right as we step in line, a girl with a bag starts heading out for curbside (I knew it was ours, since we were the only ones in curbside now). So I asked if it was under our name, and she briskly handed it to us and walked away. We left in a hurry to get back and clock in at work. Now, at this point, I'm annoyed at the girl with the attitude, and the 20 minutes we spent waiting for them to figure out what they are doing. We get back to eventually eat at our desks, when I find my sandwich, old and soggy. Not only was our food late getting to us, it WAS made ahead of time. And still didn't get to us in a timely manner. Saturday night. I went in at about 7:45 PM tonight, and there were 2 employees sitting in the back, and no one else in the place. When I walked in they were on their mobile devices, and both shot me a dirty look, like I ruined their whole day by walking in the restaurant. Red flags right away, since they both appeared to be high on some kind of controlled substance. They both appeared to be teenagers. The male slowly started to put on sandwich gloves, and the female named Kayla got up and dragged herself to the register and glared at me. I only know her name, because it is on the receipt, if it is her real name. Neither wore a name tag. They said nothing to me, until I began to speak for my order. Since I have been a fairly regular customer over the past decade at this location, and having had my lunch delivered to a nearby corporate headquarters, from this location many times; I continued to order anyway. Big mistake. I ordered an Unwich bootlegger with cheese, and first he started making the sandwich with wheat bread slices. I said if that is my order, an Unwich is with lettuce. Then he goes "oh yeah", barely able to keep his eyes open, and looking super doped-up. Kayla blurted out "you said on wheat", totally slurring her words. I never said anything near that. The male wrapped-up the meat and lettuce really fast like he did not even care what I wanted on the sandwich. She was trying to ring me up before I even finished the order. Interrupting me with the total as I was saying what I wanted on it. I asked the male if it had peppers, pickles, onions, and spicy mustard on it as he had already wrapped it up. He said "yeah". I had watched him the whole time, and I did not see him go near those ingredients. He then quickly grabbed some onions and slid it in between the lettuce that was already wrapped and put it in the papers. Up to this point, they had been disrespectful, but what happens next is the clincher. Before he handed me the sandwich, he brought his arm up to his face, and blew his nose hard into his sleeve, in the same hand he held my payed-for sandwich. He then handed it to me, and there was something greasy all over it, and got all over my hands. He assured me he put all of the toppings I had requested on there. I did not question it further. They gave me no napkins. I sat down in the store to eat it, and the male saw that I was going to unwrap it and eat it in the store, and ran to the bathroom to hide. Kayla just sat back down in the customer seating and fidgeting on her mobile device. As I opened the sandwich papers, they got a greasiness all over my hands. Kayla then helped one person who came in for a carry-out. I had gone 2 bites into the Unwich, and noticed that he actually did not put on any of the toppings I had asked for. I calmly told Kayla about it, and asked her in a professional tone for the owner/manager's name and phone number. The male was still hiding in a back room. Kayla claimed that this guy was the manager, and I said please give me contact info for anyone else who is an owner or manager then. She ignored me and walked back to get him. She crumpled my receipt and tried to throw it out, but I intended on keeping it anyway. Crumpled up. The male came back, looking even more out of it than before, clearly struggling to stand on his feet and keep his eyes open. I politely informed him in a normal voice that none of the ingredients were on the sandwich, and I didn't want him to make a new one, but I wanted a manager or owner's phone number. He refused, and said he'd only take my name and number. I said, don't worry, I will call corporate to get the managers name. He said that this chain was one of four owned by the same franchisee. I asked if he was okay, because he looked ready to keel over, and I asked him if he was on something. At that he said "you need to leave the store now or I'm calling the police". He refused to give his name or the managers name. I was completely low-key and professional the whole time, and the clearly impaired employee is going to report me? I left quietly and politely. I would give a negative five-star rating if you'd ask me. This person got their runny snot all over the wrapper? How could that not have been on purpose? How do I know if they have any communicable infections or not in their runny mucus? The "Unwich" Lettuce Wrap that the ""anonymous" shift male made was one piece of lettuce thrown into a piece of paper with meat and cheese, and wiped slime all over the wrapper. Disgusting. He said he'd tell his manager, who'd get back to me in a few days, but said he wouldn't reimburse me or give me a voucher. I did not leave my personal info because they weren't professional. I have never complained online about a restaurant experience in my life until today. I intend to consider mailing a legal letter to the owner. Save the surveillance camera footage to show he blew his nose while handing me the sandwich. Worse than spitting?! read more

I'm giving 2 stars because I like the Jimmu John's chain. This particular location needs a little bit better adult supervision. Our last few orders have been way off, ordered a turkey sandwich that came without turkey? Just lettuce, tomato and cheese. I have had drivers deliver that reeked of marijuana. Or went into the store and it seemed like the employees were stoned. They seem slow and out of it. Management should fire those knuckleheads. read more

Manager Matthew is very rude and lacks customer service etiquette. I placed an order online and fat fingered the address and my order was delivered to a totally different person at a different address and he wouldn't give me a refund or store credit nor would he call a closer store to me to accommodate the misunderstanding. Yes i was wrong by putting the wrong address and he said he wasn't paying for my mistake. He continued to argue with me and be rude and condescending about the situation. We have ordered twice in the last two weeks with a large order. Orders were not right and took much longer than expected since we are about 1 mile away. Our last order never came so after an hour we called and they said, "Oh, we don't have any drivers" WHAT!?!?! Seriously! You couldn't call and let us know? These days, not much surprises me when it comes to the food service industry. But today, I was shocked by the way the manager from Jimmy John's on the corner of Pilgrim & Silver Spring treated me. I can start by saying I have likely ordered from this location for both delivery and pickup many, many times over the years and 90% of the time, the food was good and the service matched. Today was an exception. It's not even the couple of small things that could have been better about our 10-sandwich order (Savannah was new and she owned being in learning mode. She was also refreshingly friendly and I wasn't upset with her for a second because of her friendliness and willingness to help. Her manager could learn a thing or two from her.) or how very delayed the delivery was. Ultimately, the reason for my review is the way Joe, the manager I spoke with after the aforementioned issues, handled the situation. Not only did he make light of the fact that the sandwiches were delivered an extra 30+ minutes on top of the original 45-minute estimate (which was already a major delay from our typical order/delivery time)--he said "it happens." He also didn't see it as an issue that I had to call multiple times to see if the sandwiches were being delivered soon.. The woman (Savannah) who took my order introduced herself to me, called me by name and acknowledged where the delivery would go. (So great! She should get more stars.) Like I said, I order all the time and I have not needed to give my info each time, so I assumed it was saved. I told Joe that I gave all of the info requested and asked what else I could've done. He basically said it was my fault that the order wasn't delivered due to not having my number. I then relayed that the lunch meeting I was ordering for was a bust because the order came well after the meeting had ended and many people didn't get to eat lunch. He said it may have been an inconvenience, but we got our sandwiches, so what was the problem? Seriously?!? I said that it would be great if he took responsibility for the delay and asked if he would say/do anything to apologize/make it right. He told me they couldn't give free stuff every time they screwed up. Not what I was going for, but he could have apologized for the inconvenience. That would have gone a long way with me. I started saying "wow, I can't believe you're taking NO ownership of the situation or setting an example for your team" and while I was in mid-thought, Joe hung up on me!!! I've worked in the service industry in food or retail all my life, so I get it. But there were at least 10 different ways he could've responded. He chose the least professional, most offensive one. Again, what kind of example is he setting? I work at a pretty big company that does way more than our part to keep the JJ's business humming. And because of where I work, we know the importance of customer service. Joe does not. And because of him, I will be looking elsewhere for where to get lunch in the future. read more

Almost 50 minutes for a delivery order is NOT freaky fast. And our office is close enough that we can get there without a stoplight. I had to call twice to see where our order was. The few times I have gone to the location, the line has been super long and the service has also not been freaky fast. Pretty much that is the only draw of going to JJ's, is you should be able to get in and out. Lord knows the food isn't great, and it's overpriced, and it's a big piece of bread with a little meat in it. They should have just stayed on college campuses and drunk fests where they belong. read more

We've had two other mediocre orders from this particular Jimmy John's, but this one made me finally sign up for a Yelp account. I love Jimmy John's and usually have stellar service and food from other ones. This location is NOT like other JJs. 40 minutes to have three subs delivered? NOT freaky fast! They forgot our chips, no straw for our drink (they exclusively have fountain drinks), and the tomatoes on our subs are FROZEN! I bit into it and immediately spit out the tomato. I picked the rest off of the sub. Also, this location doesn't have light mayo. Who doesn't carry light mayo? Their workers don't seem to care that the service is bad. It's like they know that there's not much else that delivers in the area so they don't feel the need to improve. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Driver delivered wrong order to my son who thought I ordered for him because I was also getting him lunch. When he figured it out he talked to the other guy who said he called the store and it was fine driver error they would bring new food for free. They actually called the police, my son explained to police the mistake and paid the order. But really driver couldn't have asked him to pay on return trip. Manager is a jerk. Will not go back. Old staff was much more professional they need to hire some adults. read more
