MBC has a reputation for having the biggest and best cheese curds around so on a work outing, I was able to experience this first hand. The cheese curds are indeed HUGE. Actually HUGE. But still very good and so cheesy. I've had a burger here and a salad (two different visits) and these are also quite large servings as I took home half each time! The staff was attentive and quick to take orders, refill drinks and follow up to make sure we were happy with our meals. Inside there are tv's at every angle with different sports events playing and plenty of seating in the dining room and at the bar. I'd like to return to try one of the bloody mary's of the month because they look quite impressive (basically dinner atop a mug). While there was no wait the two times I've been here, the yelp app does offer a waitlist option so keep that in mind for the weekend evenings or during sporting events when they might get more packed. read more

We drove in from Chicago and was surprised how big this place was. We were able to get a seat right away and we got unlucky to get a server that also had a party of like 15 next to us. He still delivered outstanding service, but it required me to be patient to accept that outstanding service. We did get lucky however to show up during happy hour. I rarely get to take advantage of such deals. I ordered a Spotted Cow, which I've had plenty of in my life but never as a draft. Definitely a lot better than in a bottle. We also ordered Fire cheese curds and onions rings. The cheese curds were regular good. They were huge and had a nice kick to it. I liked the cheese curds so much I decided to try their Cheese Curd Cheeseburger. It came with their burger co sauce, cheese curds and provolone cheese. The perfect was delicious as well. Very cheesy. Only thing was that they were on the smaller size. Thin patties. Me like thicker burgers. Wouldn't hesitate ordering again. My son ordered their Hickory cheddar. This burger came with fried onion straws, bbq sauce, bacon and cheddar cheese. A very delicious burger as well. Over all we left very satisfied and full. I can't definitely see myself returning next time I'm in the area. read more

Came here to kill some time before we checked into our hotel. We just stayed at the bar to have some drinks and had a great bartender that took care of us the entire time. We also got an app of jalapeños brat bites, they were ok. Great atmosphere from the dining area to the bar, and quite family friendly and clean. The prices are decent as well. Huge beer on tap selection as well. Would definitely come back when we are in the area again! read more

I don't know why I'm so late to the party on this one. I've tried a few of their burgers like the brown sugar burger, and the cheese curd one, but the Wisconsin Smash burger has to be the best. It's just perfect with those crispy burnt ends. I can't say enough about their food. The batter fries are tasty and delicious and I ate more than I should. Their cheese curds are big and square - very hot and crispy on the outside, melty and cheesy on the inside. Now, you wouldn't think a standard bar and grill that specializes in burgers would do well with other foods, but they do. Witness the teriyaki bowl - a healthier offering. I tried the chicken and it was sweet and garlicky and delicious. It has every little crunchy thing you would want in it and a bonus fried egg. I'll have to get that next time! read more

We didn't think about looking to see if there was a wait list before going, but we didn't wait long. Food was really good. My Mbc was perfectly crispy, just a little small. That overwhelming (to me) tower of meats across from me were tore down! One of us got the beer batter fries and one got the regular fries to try both. The beer battered were definitely better. It was noisy for those that are sensitive to that. Also where I sat in our booth if I looked out the window the headlights out on the street were very bright, but again it's probably nothing to people who aren't sensitive. It was a hopping place with a lot of tvs and many games on including the Olympics! They were even happy to accommodate a group of 20! Good experience, I'm sure we'll be back again. read more

Service was great. As a Floridian it was nice to have the option of a wrap or lighter meal, but if you want to go full Wisconsin they have tons of heavy burger meals! Although I chose a big spotted cow beer, they have an insane variety of drinks and drink flights. Food was great and sides delicious as well! Great atmosphere to watch a game or spend time with friends! read more

I come here for the wings mostly not the burgers as they got rid of my favorite burger long ago the defibulator. My wife got the sourdough and my dad got a jalapeño burger, and they both said that there's tasted good mine on the other hand. I think they slightly overcooked the wings this time. I will say the server was very attentive. It was very nice when I asked for the 22 he got me the 34 ounce or whatever because it was better for the price, but that ended up being the year of the night so except for the wings being overcooked it was a pleasant experience so that's why four stars instead of five, although the server walked right past me when I asked for a box, the first time the gentleman was a man of color and he was definitely polite and friendly, warm and inviting, which is what you want in a server. But I was able to take some home so I could have some for breakfast the next morning since I've got come in and work at 4 to 2 at work which is insane hours. read more

Saturday night 5pm. After a 5 min wait we were seated. The hostess staff were welcoming and friendly. Our server was efficient and refills were delivered perfectly. The Milwaukee Melt was tasty! The hickory cheddar was also good. We ordered the burgers medium as their standard is medium well. Now, i saved the best for last...cheese curds!!! Batter was delicious but did not overpower the gooey cheddar inside! Its a loud pub atmosphere, but worth a trip if you have a hankering for burgers! read more

I went here with my family on a Thursday night. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our server was quick and friendly. It is a casual restaurant with lots of TVs for watching sports. We made it for happy hour, so we ordered $6 pretzel bites & classic curds. Both were pretty good. For the main course, I ordered the inverter burger which was also good. Not the best burger ever but yummy. I will say it could've used a bit more sauce on it. Overall, I love all the burger choices and would come back to try more. read more

Hailey was a great server. Friendly and attentive. We usually have a good experience here despite some of the other reviews. Our apps came in a timely manner and were so good. and the bloody Mary's and chasers were great. We took an order to go of teriyaki chicken rice --- yum. And we had a wonderful birthday sundae. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed it. I hope your experience is the same or better. read more

I visited here for the first time with my cousins, and overall, it was a good experience. The service was friendly, and the food was solid. We started with the curd sampler, which included classic, pepper jack, mozzarella, and fair curds, along with pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were soft and tasty, and the dipping sauce was great. The cheese curds were a bit on the salty side, and I personally preferred the cheddar to the pepper jack. They were also pretty filling. I opted for the Milwaukee-style smashed burger, with an upgrade to sweet potato tots ($3.00). The tots were good, though I wish there were a bit more of them on the plate. I also tried the hot honey on the side, but it wasn't my favorite--didn't quite work for me. The burger was pretty hefty and filling, but it was a bit difficult to eat; I could only manage half of it, and it was a bit messy. When we got the bill, it was odd that the top was cut off, and we were charged extra for an item we couldn't figure out. The waitress was quick to sort it out, but it didn't match the computer initially. It was nice that when signing up for the app, we received a free appetizer, which we were able to add right to the bill. Their Bloody Marys looked really good, so I'd return to try another dish and their Bloody Mary options. read more

Milwaukee Burger Company is worth a visit. A short 10 to 15 minute ride from Billy Mitchell Field it's a great place to watch sports. They have outside as well as inside seating. There is a nice bar area. There are plenty of TVs so it's easy to watch the game from any location. I was there on a Thursday evening and there was a football game as well as the Brewers baseball game on different TVs. There was a host that was energizing the crowd during lulls in the game. Games and prizes were available. After a long flight from the West Coast, I was happy to sit in a comfortable booth and talk with friends. We ordered drinks from a very helpful, smiling waitress. She was very helpful in helping us select something that would be to our liking. They have an extensive menu! It was nice to have somebody help wade through the menu. We ordered cheese curds, the Inverter, and the bacon and fajita chicken salad. We had Athletic NA beer and Stella Artois, and a dirty martini. Couldn't be happier with the food, which was cooked to perfection (both burger and chicken). The curds were lightly battered with great flavor and pull. After a long flight this is a great place to enjoy the food, ambience, and incredible service. Parking lot available close to the entrance. Easy access to public transportation. read more

Oh my gosh... these bloody Mary's were out of this world!! I had the cheesehead bloody and my husband ordered the bloody of the month (bloody Maria). The toppings are INSANE. Our only mistake was also ordering food because each one had an entire meal stacked on top haha. I will say that the mix itself, while very good, is not my favorite - but still giving 5 stars because these toppings are really out of this world. You need to check this place out!! read more

My husband and I were out running errands and getting a little hungry, we were in the area a decided to try a new place for us. Its your classic sports bar type of place, with lots of TVs and seating. Our server was great and so friendly. We were immediately intrigued by the cheese curds, I'm glad they had a sampler! Our waiter suggested a little bit of caramel with the Fair Curds, a that was such a great combo, just like a funnel cake! The classic and mozzarella curds were large and so good, and we really enjoyed the fire curds with a little bit of spice. The platter came with marinara, ranch, and the chipotle ranch. You really couldn't go wrong with any of the combination of curds and dips. The platter is definitely big enough for a group of people, but between my husband and I, we were already getting full after finishing it. There are so many good options on the menu. For our main, my husband got The Do Gooder Burger and I got the Pepper Jack Chicken Nachos. The nachos were delicious and made with cantina chips and a good amount of cheese. My husband enjoyed the burger as well, and loved the pepper jelly. Overall, we enjoyed the food and saw plenty of options were would love to try next time! Some of the specialty drinks caught our eye as well. read more

Pickup over the phone was easy! The person who took my order even suggested a different type of fry because they last longer in the boxes. I really appreciated that suggestion. Now to the food! Went here recently, put myself on the waiting list. Told it was going to be a 30-40 minute wait. Went to home depot to walk around. 15 mins later Got the text. Drove back in 6 mins and was told I was booted from waiting list. Came in and was told there is a 5 minute grace period. I've never heard of a grace period so short. First time trying the Milwaukee Burger Company - no surprise, they have quite the selection of burgers. I ordered the spicy curd burger which was flavorful and not overwhelming with heat (but you could notice there was a little heat). I also ordered a Peanut Butter milkshake which they added some booze to after I asked. Overall, it was a good meal - we sat at the bar on a Friday night, felt like they needed at least one more bartender to keep up with all the drink orders. But they were responsive and polite when we caught their eye. read more

We had just spent two hours more than we had wanted to spend in the car rental line at the airport and we were hungry! Luckily this was nearby and had good looking food and beer. It was Friday so they had a fish fry special which we got with 3 pieces and the blue cheese potato salad. I ordered the Spicy honey salmon. It was white rice topped with honey soy garlic glazed salmon, avocado, kimchi, sriracha, gochujang mayo, green onion, sesame soy broccoli slaw and sesame seeds. Hubs and I shared both. We were so impressed and satified with both dishes. The breading on the fish was perfectly crispy and I'll admit I expected the potato salad to be cold but it was warm and gooey, sooo good and so rich! The salmon was cooked just right and I was so happy with it! I want to recreate that dish at home actually. I was sure to take a picture! Oh and the service was great, my husband loves to try new beers, and our server was so on top of it, she checked in before he finished each beer, so he never had to go without. Whenever we are back in Milwaukee, we'll look forward to coming back! Maybe even get one of those Bloody Mary behemoths we saw from across the bar! read more

I have not been back to MB for some time. So, we went. It did not disappoint. Honestly do not pass this place by. The cheese curds, exceptional. The smash burgers were excellent. The outer edge with that this crust/caramelization, and the softness, but firm burger, yum. AND...surprisingly, the dinner salads. Yup dinner salads very good. Drinks were good and service was great. This is a solid 4.3. read more

Wisconsin Sourdough: Milwaukee Burger Company (MBC) offers 16 specialty burgers (as well as build your own), including the "Big Milwaukee Challenge". Other than the challenge, the restaurant is known for its massive golf ball sized cheese curds. My burger for this review was comprised of sourdough bread, Midwest beef, American cheese (I replaced the default cheddar), bacon, grilled mushrooms, with BBQ sauce and mayo. The sourdough bread was so thick that I really had to work my jaw to get a bite. I'm not complaining, just letting you know how massive this burger (sandwich?) was. Since it's toasted, the bread was a little rough on the roof of my mouth. Not terribly so, but I still prefer MBC's soft and pillowy buns. I found the burger patty itself to be nothing special, but by no means bad. Turning to the toppings, a fair amount of crispy bacon strips was provided. Being a cheese guy, I was pretty pumped to see not one, but two slices of melty American Cheese. Another plus was the sandwich was teeming with grilled mushrooms. I didn't know what to expect in terms of the sauce, but I'm happy to report the combination of mayo and BBQ works well. Overall, another fantastic burger from the MBC (even if it isn't my favorite from them). Doughboy approved. Doughboy_Food_Reviews read more

Really enjoyed the meal here but the service was just way too slow for me to want to go back. And before I get into that I understand many places are short staffed, that wasn't the case here. In regard to food, the curd sampler, the Jalapeño & Cheddar Infused burger, sweet potato fries, and onion rings were all excellent! I was underwhelmed by The Do Gooder, just no real flavor. Neither burger was medium rare as requested. As for service, we sat outside with four other tables. Inside seven tables were seated. There were four servers and bartender. I could even understand the kitchen being slow because I can't see what's going on in there. From seated it took twenty minutes for a server to approach. Then it took twenty minutes for drinks. Then it took twenty for appetizers. And you guessed it another twenty minutes for the second round of drinks. Just way too slow for 1:30 pm on a Friday. read more

Second time here, and it was, at least, as good as the first visit. I had their cheese curds last year, so I already knew I liked them and chose to try the wings this time. The curds are among the best I've had by the way, and they have a few different cheeses to choose from, plus a sampler option, so get the sampler! I prefer dry rubs over sauces, and there are three to choose from here. I chose the Honey Chipotle, and they were great! Slightly sweet, but not really any subtle heat from Chipotle pepper...just really good flavor. The chicken was crisp and tender and meaty (I received all drummies. I have no complaints. I decided on the Hangover Burger, which is topped with a fried egg, cheese, and cheesey hashbrowns. I added bacon because how can I eat a burger with an egg and hashbrowns but no bacon? I ordered the burger medium, and it was perfectly cooked to medium. I ordered the egg over medium, and it was perfectly cooked over medium, although cooked in over-used oil or a pan/grill that needed to be cleaned first. The hand-cut fries were cooked in clean oil, which I greatly appreciated! They were crisp and sufficiently salted. The brioche bun could have been toasted and buttered. It was on the soft side, like it spent a little time in a steamer, but it was still dry, so it wasn't fresh, but it did the job and held up well. I sat at the bar and received great service from a young, blonde woman. The place was busy, but not super loud. I enjoyed the Brewers game on TV and the New Glarus 30th Anniversary Quad they had on tap, which is a fairly recent beer release. The MBC Chicken sandwich looks really good, so I hope I remember to order that next time, even though I like the burgers. My two visits were almost perfect. I hate to nit pick on the bun and the egg surface, but 5 stars is for total perfection. I would give my two visits a 4.5, and I want to give a shout out to the kitchen for nailing the cook on the burger and the egg (aside from the "dirty" oil or grill). I get over-cooked burgers almost everywhere else, so I really appreciate the places that get it right. I will come back! read more

Had a great experience at Milwaukee Burger Company with my sisters Monday night. We arrived at 5:30 and were seated right away being given our choice of a booth or table. We chose a table. The restaurant was homey and I loved being near the fireplace. Our waitress was very friendly and patient as we were catching up on life so she had to come back a few times to get our order. I chose the Wisconsin smash burgers, which had Two Thinly Smashed Patties, American Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Pickles and Burger Co. Sauce. I asked if I could also get lettuce and tomatoes and the waitress said absolutely!! I chose regular crinkle cut fries out of the side choices. The burger was amazing!!! I loved all the "stuff" on it. That burger sure made me happy. The fries were good too. Not only was our waitress friendly but other workers asked how we were doing as they passed by our table. LOUD televisions everywhere. Food bad. Burger meat didn't taste like anything even salting it after it arrived, cheese didn't taste like cheese, onions didn't taste like onions, kettle chips had no discernible flavor. Hot chocolate tasted like it was powder from a pack mixed into water. And then the 3% credit card fee. The bathroom sinks had separate hot and cold levers, how old is that! No coat hooks in the stalls. Of the 3 of us, none of us finished the food and won't be back. read more

Before stopping at Milwaukee Burger Company I looked at their online ordering feature and decided what I wanted: mozzarella cheese curds and the Defibrillator Burger with fries for the side. Their online ordering feature says they have beer battered fries and they sounded better on that particular visit than kettle chips. I arrived and was seated quickly as it was still only 4:30pm and, other than by the bar, the place wasn't busy. When my watch showed 4:40pm and not a single person had stopped over to even take my drink order, I asked to speak to a manager. The rationale he gave for no one stopping over was that the server for that area didn't start until 5pm. Not exactly sure why the hostess decided to seat me in that spot if that was the case or why the server handling the booth right next to mine couldn't have said anything, but whatever. He apologized and took my order, telling me that the mozzarella cheese curds would be on them. I appreciated that. The mozzarella cheese curds were good. I thought the classic curds that came on my burger were better, so I'd advocate for the classic curds if you're deciding between the two. The curds are huge and you get a fair amount in an order given their size. I wasn't a huge fan of the Defibrillator Burger. Even though it had two pieces of cheese I didn't think it was very cheesy, the bun was rather dense, and by default it came somewhere between medium-well and well done while I normally prefer medium. In addition, the fries were hand cut and not beer battered like the online ordering feature stated. I looked at the physical menu at my table after the food arrived and, sure enough, it says hand cut. Not a huge deal, but I would have gotten the kettle chips if hand cut fries were the option instead of beer battered. I'd like to think the service issue I experienced isn't common and wouldn't happen again if I came back, especially since the server who eventually ended up covering my table was great, but given that the food didn't wow me I don't know if I'll be giving them another opportunity anytime soon. read more

The food is average, but be warned of their scam attempt. I will never return to any Milwaukee Burger Company location again, because they charge a 3% add on for you to pay via credit card. The servers and bartenders will never mention this to you, and it's only written in small print at the bottom of the menu. They are obviously hoping you won't even notice it. The company does not pay 3% processing fee to their credit card processing company, so clearly they're making a profit off of this, and know that the vast majority of their diners will be paying via credit card. This is obviously nothing more than a scam attempt to make more money off their customers (while hoping that they don't notice it). This follows back in the Covid years when they were selling individual bottles of hand sanitizer for $9 (no idea where a restaurant got individual bottles of hand sanitizer, especially in those times, or why they would be selling them, other than to gouge people and make a quick buck) and were again finding ways to scam their customers. It's clear this company has no morals or ethics, and is simply looking for ways to take as much money as possible from their customers. read more
