We decided to go here and try their fish fry. Our waitress was very nice and the food was delicious. And came out piping hot.

My family stopped in after picking me up from the airport. We had an awesome waitress that was thoughtful, quick, and friendly. The menu was extensive and all of the food was served in large portions. We started with mozzarella sticks that were cooked perfectly. I had the French onion soup. The soup was a large serving and served hot. It was very tasty and I would order it again. I also ordered the waffle fries but was full and only had 2! They were crispy and a large basket was served. The pizza was hot and tasty!

Coach's Big Boy Burger: There has never been a Big Boy restaurant in my area within my lifetime, so I've never eaten an actual Big Boy Burger. The burger seems incredibly similar if not the same as one of my childhood staples, McDonald's Big Mac. I realize that may be blasphemy to some, so forgive me. Coach's Pub 'N' Grill is a sports bar located on the south side of Milwaukee. I could not find much on their history, but it looks like they opened in 1999. Their version of the Big Boy Burger includes two beef patties, lettuce, cheese, and Big Boy sauce on a seeded bun. It tasted the way I remember Big Macs tasting as a kid, which is great. Coach's take on the sandwich is a definite upgrade as unlike the Big Mac it contains two slices of cheese instead of one, there was much more sauce, better tasting bun, and juicier patties. A McDonald's Big Mac suffers from a poor ratio of bun to meat (too bready, patties too thin), but Coach's ratio was spot on. Next time I'm craving a Big Mac I'll for sure head to Coach's instead. Doughboy approved *My only criticisms are minor and have nothing to do with the food. First, there is online ordering available but only by using the Toast app. The Toast app was not working properly when I tried using it, which was frustrating. Second, when I went to pick up my sandwich there was no clear pick up area. It would be nice if signage or more obvious signage was posted inside. (5 star food, 3 star ordering experience, overall rating of 4). Doughboy_Food_Reviews

We did go back on Martini Monday and the Martinis were great. Lots of flavor and correct amount of alcohol.

Consistently busy over the years and for good reason. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the service or the food. It's a dark, cozy little restaurant bar but with so much character and history. Service is friendly and efficient. I love that the food I've ordered here has always exceeded my expectations with the seasonings and quality of ingredients used. Reasonably priced too! If you don't have a reservation, you may end up waiting for a table in the back area at a high top but it's a great opportunity to enjoy one of their great drinks in the meantime!

We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. We also had to send back two drink glasses because they were dirty one still had lipstick on it, and another had food stuck to the inside of the glass. Overall, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Between the unprofessional treatment, lackluster service, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend stopping here. There are plenty of other restaurants worth trying instead.

It is a ln old school, classic vibe. I enjoyed all the sports decor and memorabilia on the walls. Right off the bat, one of the things that stood out to me was how incredibly affordable this place was! Looking at the prices, I was surprised that you could get a burger here for around twelve bucks including fries. That's like fast food prices. Most restaurants charge way more than that and don't include fries, so this place is an amazing bargain! We got their cheese balls, which were cheese curds. These were not bad. I do prefer a more beer battered curd, but I didn't mind these. I also got a bacon cheeseburger called The Loser. In reality, it tastes like a winner. The bread bun is amazing, so soft and fresh. The burger is juicy and flavorful. It's also not too crazy big where all the toppings fall apart. The fries were also crispy and tasty. Our server was also very kind and attentive. She gave us sugar cookies at the end of our meal, which was a nice treat. Overall, I enjoyed coming here. I would come here again to catch a game and enjoy a drink and some bites. You get a decent burger that is also a good bang for your buck.

It was a great value with some items I liked and some I didn't due to personal preference, not because anything wasn't prepared well, as it all appeared to be cooked properly. My girlfriend ordered the Celtic Grilled Cheese with bacon, arugula, aged white cheddar, aioli, grilled tomatoes on toasted sourdough. Her sandwich looked amazing, and I regret not asking for a bite. That may be a future order for me. She loved it! I also ordered the County Clare Bloody Mary, which is made with their own seasoning blend and served with a chaser of Harp beer. They asked me how spicy I wanted it, and I said medium, which I think they nailed. This was one of the best Bloodies I've had in town! Overall, a nice brunch experience with good service and a great ambience. I do want to return to try more brunch items.
