The food was decent but after ordering the prime rib wrap I was told they didn't have the blue cheese crumbles and could substitute another cheese, overall the wrap was very tasty although I wish it came as listed on the menu. My wife had a garden salad with chicken but it didn't come with hard boiled eggs as listed on the menu. I guess you get what you get when you get it! First time here. Came for lunch with a friend. It's on the lake and has a nice view of the water. A very large patio with plenty of seating under umbrellas. Inside is a large bar with tables for different sized groups. Got here a little bit before noon. Got seated right away. Ordered a couple of cold beverages while checking out the menu. It took a while for our server to get back to us, which was not a problem for us (couple of retired guys), but would have been if I were in a hurry. I ordered the Bourbon Bacon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. My friend got the Chicken Wings, dry rub with Smokehouse BBQ. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive. However, the Chicken Wings weren't dry rubbed; they had a sauce, which turned out to be the Habanero. My hamburger was excellent, done medium-rare. There were plenty of caramelized onions, and I loved the texture and taste of the haystack onions on top. However, the fries were lukewarm. It took another while for our server to get back to us to check on things. Mentioned the wings to the server. She took them back to the kitchen and had the correct wings made. By the time they came back out, I was done with my meal, and he was just getting started. Never got asked about a refill on beverages, so I had to ask for some more iced tea. Outdoor dining is super comfortable here, and we had a great meal on the deck. I decided on the Chicken Wings with tator tots, and I over-ate! But it was worth it! Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was special, and a burger on a toasted bun was yummy. We were not aware that this was a Bingo night, inside and out. 10 free cards for the asking, and prizes for the lucky players. While it was fun, the emcee was rather limited in his banter, and it became a bit of a joke for us as we took a drink every time he repeated the same line. (We had to stop long before the 4th game in order to drive home safely.) Foolery's is fun and the food is good. Families and friends will enjoy the place. read more

I am writing to share my disappointing experience during a recent visit to your establishment. Yesterday, I visited with a large group of approximately 15 people after returning from a motorcycle trip to Wisconsin Dells. Unfortunately, our experience began poorly from the moment we arrived. We initially did not receive service inside, so we went outside and asked the hostess if we could be seated on the patio and order food and drinks there. She agreed, although it felt more like an afterthought than a welcoming accommodation. Because we had a large group, we asked if the bill could be split. We were told that tabs could only be split by table and not individually. We did our best to organize ourselves accordingly, but the process was unnecessarily difficult. The food and service issues continued throughout the meal: The brisket was served ice cold. A mahi taco order was missing the aioli sauce, and when we asked about it, we were corrected on our pronunciation rather than simply assisted. One order of chicken wings was clearly undercooked. When this was brought to the waitress's attention, the response was essentially that most of the meal had already been eaten and she asked what we expected to be done about it. Service was equally disappointing. Our waitress rarely checked on our tables, and we often had to go find her inside the bar whenever we needed drinks or assistance. We were also told not to order drinks directly from the bar and instead go through her, despite her infrequent presence at our tables. The interaction that ultimately ensured we would not return occurred when the waitress approached our second table regarding splitting checks. She stated that in the future she would not be able to do that. I responded, "Don't worry, we won't return." Her reply was simply, "Good." As a customer, I found this response shocking and completely unacceptable. I understand that you are a busy lakeside destination, but there is no excuse for poor food quality, inattentive service, and dismissive treatment of guests. I attempted to speak with a manager but was unable to do so. Hopefully this message reaches someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience. Not only will I not return, but the approximately 15 people in our group left with the same negative impression. It was an unfortunate experience from start to finish and one that none of us expected. read more

My friend and I went to Foolery's as first-timers on Monday. We were told to take a table; we'd have liked to sit outside but all the tables were in full sun and it was windy, so staff wouldn't open umbrellas. So we thought we'd sit inside, but the music was so terribly loud that I couldn't even understand what the server was telling us - finally, it was made clear that only appetizers, wraps, and the basic hamburger were available as their food delivery never showed up. We came in today for lunch and sat at a table next to a window. Great deck for sitting but it was pretty windy today. We liked our server, she was friendly and helpful but way overworked. My wife ordered a salad and I ordered a turkey club. Both were delicious with good portions. The are many good beers and they have a good wine list. The atmosphere alone is a reason to go! Sit on the patio, enjoy the sun and lake breeze! You'll feel like you are in FL sitting right in Okauchee. Our server was willing to answer any questions and she came back over multiple times to check and make sure that we were doing okay. She was smiling and happy the entire time! For drinks we ordered a kiddie cocktail, patron marg, and another summer drink special that I can not remember :) For an appetizer we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which are wrapped each day and only served until they run out. They were delicious, but then everything is better with bacon. The dip is a truffle oil and honey mixture that is oh so tasty! I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich and the fish was really good, but the bun was just okay and overall there was not a ton of flavor. My son ordered the nachos. He said they were very good and the portion size was decent. The wings were ordered by my younger son and he eats them naked. I did try one and they were very good. Five of us dined here Saturday night. I ordered the Grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich to take home for my daughter. When I got home, we discovered the Lemon Aioli and Salsa Verde were not included. Nor did it appear to be seasoned at all with the lime rub or salt & pepper. Without these, the fish sandwich was not good to eat - was dry and bland. I called Foolery's to mention this, and was told "I'm sorry those weren't included and I hope this doesn't happen again." I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it seems a gesture of some sort would have been a nice act of kindness for the mishap. Sandwich was $17 + 20% tip. read more

We visited Foolery's yesterday after 6pm. I had their full sized salad vs side salad specifically to have the eggs. The waitress was pleasant and was timely with our drink orders. After 30 minutes of waiting and not seeing our waitress, we spoke with another waitress who advised us that the kitchen was backed up about an hour. When we were able to spot and stop our waitress approximately 15 minutes later, we asked about our order. It was at this time she mentioned the kitchen delays. We inquired about cashing out our beverage orders if our meals were not yet started by the kitchen staff. Less than 2 minutes we had our orders. I noticed the eggs listed on the menu were missing, our waitress stated she would check on that. We did not see her until it was time to pay the check. I inquired about the egg status, the reply was they were out. To this I inquired about a price adjustment, with a reply of "there is none and if there was, it would only be 10 cents." We have been patrons of Foolery's for years, being loyal through new ownerships. Service for the most part can be slow where we would take breaks from our visits there. This by far was the least enjoyable visit. Not sure about when the next return visit will be and will place this totally on the waitress who provided very poor communication and service read more

I've been meaning to come here for ages since my boyfriend claimed these are the best cheese curds he has ever had...needless to say they were a little disappointing, given all the hype. They are perfectly fine, just not the best in Wisconsin. They had a great selection of food and beers - both of the people I was with really enjoyed their burgers. Not her fault, she looked busy while everyone else seemed to not be helping. I went into the bar to grab drinks, there was 3-4 waitresses just sitting at the bar, what I'm assuming is the manager was just messing around with the bartender who also didn't look like she knew what she was doing, I got my drinks, tried to put our appetizer order in and she said we had to give our order to our server and she'd send someone down to us. 25 minutes later nobody came once again. Half the items ordered we were charged more than the menu price because...reasons? If wings went up in price then have the servers alert you when ordering now when delivering the bill. We were told our cocktails were $18 and then they came back to ask for more money because it's actually $24! Service was horrible, put our name on the wait list and past the time quoted I went to the host stand and waited 20min with no host to be seen. Customers sat themselves ahead of the list and there's plenty of servers who could've helped out. Asked for a manager, was told there's none on duty. A few bad experiences! First time I noticed sweaty bar back set a sweat filled rag(I seen him wipe himself) on the area food comes out on. I ate at this restaurant on Wednesday night this week and the only thing I can provide positive feedback on is nothing. We knew it was busy but the inside was not crowded but we waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Everything was cold and two orders of the Buffalo chicken wraps had almost no Buffalo sauce. It was like they ran out and had to split what they had left. My wings were cold with very little sauce and the Haystack onion straws were so cold I ask for a new batch. The server took them in the back and returned about 30 seconds later. Yeah he nuked them and passed them off for fresh. We ordered a beer and even though our waitress passed us several times she never returned. Our beer was gone and we waited a bit longer. Went to bar to pay and left.
