My wife and I have probably eaten here 10ish or so times over the last few years. Everything about this place is average: the food, the service, the ambiance. There is nothing great here, but also nothing terrible. Everything that we have ever ordered here has been just ok. We've tried the Reuben, the burgers, the Cubano, pizza, etc. All completely average. Again, nothing bad here but there are a lot of other places where we have received better food and better service. This was our second time here. And unfortunately the experience was a bit degraded since the previous one. Came with a friend for an afternoon lunch. Got a couple of burgers that were good, but not great. The burger was well made up, cooked to the right temperature, but the hamburger meat itself just was not that flavorful. Also, the initial service was good, but then our server was MIA during the latter part of the meal. After we got the check, never even stopped back to collect the signed bill. Went here on 4/13/24 Went here with a friend for lunch. Now that the days are getting warmer- they have outdoor seating. Inside is welcoming. Very clean. Laid out nicely. Many options in the menu besides burgers. We both ordered bacon Cheeseburgers. They offer up 2 choices of fries. The burgers were huge. Fresh and made to perfection. Everything was perfect. The person who waited on us did a great job for us. Rough us out beverages right away and the food came up pretty fast even tho the place was pretty busy. I met the owner. Very nice lady. This is a privately owned establishment. Love supporting local places. There is more than one of these places. I think she said there are two others? But they are all privately owned. Great place to take your family, friends or kids to. They have plenty of tv's if u want to watch a game. They also have music videos playing in some of the tv's. Great atmosphere. Considering it's a burger place we felt the burgers were very subpar. We ordered it medium and it was well done, hard and no taste except for a smoky flavor. We excitedly ordered the grilled wings, they sounded like a great healthy option, which actually come deep fried. We immediately asked about it because it had "grilled" in big letters and nothing about being deep fried - the waitress seemed shocked that our expectations weren't met that we were expecting grilled wings. And they weren't good deep fried wings. $19 for a dozen hard, dry wings. read more

I have been to this location twice with basically the same experience both times with the same awful waitress. Food was delicious both times and no complaints there. Service was terrible both times. Here is my last experience: Waitress dropped our food off and didn't come back. I had to leave the table and go to the bar to get condiments we asked for that she forgot. Then I had to leave our table and go to the bar to get more drinks. The only time the waitress came back to our table was to drop off the check. She was surprised when we wanted desserts since she never offered us any. When the waitress dropped off our check she never came back and once again, I had to walk to the bar and pay our check. There were only two other tables of two people in the entire restaurant while we were there. Unrelated to the horrible waitress, $1 for a ramekin of mayonnaise for my hamburger is outrageous. Went here with the wife for a quick lunch date. We saw the some pictures of the food and thought wow looks really good. We got seated right away server came fairly quick to give us menus but that's where the quick serviced stopped. Waited quite a while to order in a not too busy place. We got cheese curds as appetizers we saw them sitting waited to be served for a good amount of time. Then when it came to our meals I guess cleaning up tables and gathering a bill that the customers already left was more important than hot food. By the time our food came my fries were cold the wrap was warm not hot. The wife's burger came with out onions and with lettuce we asked for the opposite we returned it the server just added raw onion, it was supposed to come with onion tanglers main reason she ordered it. So we sent it back again. Then of course waiting for the bill took for ever because our server must be expecting a huge rush at 2pm on a Friday bc she had to make sure every table clean or dirty was wiped down. We arrived at 5:30pm and were greeted by a friendly hostess who said 20 minutes wait. In 20 minutes we were seated, so far so good! Our waitress promptly greeted us and took our order. Drinks arrived right away and were good. The two of us each ordered a badger burger with fries. 45 minutes later, still no food but our waitress got us each another beer. A full hour later our burgers came. Both were way over well done, dry and tough. ( we ordered medium ) Not much flavor, the burgers were topped with some bacon that was practically raw. There's no way that crappy burgers like this are worth $15 each. Nobody wants to wait an hour for a bad burger. With a name like Badger Burger, one would expect a better experience. If this was solely on food, it would be a 5 star review. Two of my three visits have been fine. Last night (Saturday) was a disaster. We arrived early - 5:30 - as we had tickets to a play @ 7:00. The restaurant was busy but by no means filled. We ordered and proceeded to wait 45 minutes for our order. Our waitress was truly apologetic, saying they were understaffed in the kitchen. Food eventually arrived, minus mine. They "forgot" my meal. By this time, we needed to leave to make our show. I asked to speak to a manger but was told they were helping in the kitchen. We were given an appreciated $10 gift card for our trouble. But truly a disappointing experience. Many restaurants limit their tables when understaffed. That did not seem to occur here. When we left, the restaurant was completely filled. I hope they had a better experience than we did. I'll go back, eventually. The burgers are great! I hope they figure out their systems at some point. read more

Only got 1 star because the food was good. At the restaurant for almost 2 hours while being ignored by our waiter. If you have all the time in the world to waste it's a good option. Just be prepared to wait extensive amount of time to have your server visit your table. read more

We arrived about 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday and about half the tables were full. We were told there would be about a 25 minute wait due to the fact that they were short staffed. This is understandable these days, but we were not offered a drink at the bar or a seat at an unoccupied table. Instead the hostess said "Go sit over there", pointing to a bench next to the cold and drafty door. We watched 3 different servers walk past our table multiple times and did not even glance our way. We stopped in here for burgers yesterday. My wife and I both had The Wisconsonite burger. A 1/2lb burger topped with deep fried cheese curds and bacon on a toasted brioche bun. The waitress asked how we'd like it cooked and we said medium. Although they seemed slightly understaffed, the food came out quick and service was excellent. Our burgers were cooked to a perfect medium and were delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had! The steak fries and chive fries were both good as well. We thought about getting an appetizer and I'm glad we didn't because we both left stuffed and had a small doggie bag to boot. Went to Badger Burger Bar in Oconomowoc and was promptly seated in a high top at the bar. Sat for 10 minutes and 3 waitress and the bartender walked right past me. No one stopped to take my order or great me. Another family was seated 10 mins after me and were promptly greeted by their server. I complained to the host and then left. Really disappointed in this Badger Burger location. I was a really big fan of the location in Mukwonago, this location in comparison was a complete let down. It seems like the bartenders and management had no training. The order was missing multiple items and instead of offering to fix it they said it would be another 45 minute wait (after already waiting a full hour). Great burger, really needs to be when it's in the name. Large patty, cooked to medium rare perfection, super juicy. Side salad was good, fresh and crisp. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to a mixup and fries did not come with the order (really looking forward to trying the chive fries). I ordered on line and wanted an additional salad but looks like the salad replaced the fries which was not clear. Got a side of guac and that was pretty brown, I understand it goes brown quickly but if it's offered I would ensure it is fresh. I would definitely go back and make sure I get the fries next time. We went there on a Friday evening. Sports bar with vintage record album covers as wallpaper which is kind of neat. They were pretty busy. A yr attend off with a martini and Merlot. Drinks were good as were the cheese curds we ordered for an appetizer. My wife dis a build your own Mac and cheese and I did the single 12 oz walleye filet. We substituted a salad instead of the potato choice ( fries, baked potato or potato pancake). Turned out to be a bad choice. The greens were wilted and bitter from being made yesterday or longer. Then instead of blue cheese dressing, they gave us tartar sauce by mistake. The replacement salads were no better and the blue cheese dressing was not very good. The filet was fried and was quite good and my wife liked here Mac and cheese. The coleslaw they had with the fish was overly creamy with too much Mayo and lacked flavor. The marble rye was fine. Can only give it a 3 but I would try the place again as I did enjoy the fish. They also serve perch and cod too. read more
