    Dust off Fruited ale
    Colin S.

This place is awesome. The service is incredible and so is the beer. My favorite so far after quite a few is the blood orange fruit beer. Incredible nose on this beer with a moderate ABV coming in at 5.3. Their hazy Steel rain is also fantastic. Look forward to coming back

The building is nice and big, very clean and the portions are large, however, my sandwich was overcooked and I experienced cross contamination from a dirty grill that caused 3 days of nausea, gas, bloating and intense abdominal pain

We tried several of their beers at a local festival and enjoyed every one of them. Today we were in area and stopped for lunch. Cool decor, large parking lot. It was very cold in the dining room. Our waitress was friendly, not horribly attentive though. I ordered the M.O.A.D. and my husband ordered the Gizmo. There's A LOT of food here! The M.O.A.D. was too messy to eat as a sandwich. The marble rye didn't stand up to the many toppings on the sandwich. I had to use a fork and knife. Both sandwiches had too many toppings. The onion rings and fried green beans were overly salty. Beer is great, food, meh. We won't go out of our way to eat here again. Drink? You betcha!

Cool military box that holds beer flights. Nice touch.

First time here today, and everything was good. A couple of the beers in my flight were a little bleh, but the one I decided on for a full pour, the GI Joe Oatmeal Coffee Stout, was perfect for a late October Wisconsin day. The bartender was friendly but very busy due to a large group that had come in. I thought the stealth bombers (I think that's what they were, at least) on the ceiling were a cool touch. Didn't order food so I don't know, but the stuff being cooked looked and smelled great.

We had The Howitzer starter, M-4 Sherman Tank and the Oktoberfest special (Schintzel & Spaetzel). The Schnitzel was huge and delicious. The Oktoberfest beer was great also. I thought the Tanks were loaded fries at first, but they're basically really good stacked Bratwurst dinners. I totally recommended this place to friends back in Tomah. Best German food I've had in a while. Being a Wisconsin Vet, it feels like home. We were Harvest Host customers. I'm so glad this place was on our route to the East Coast.

    Pulled pork and potato salad

We walked in and noticed it was a little chilly in the restaurant. We did not let it stop us and we are so glad it didn't! We found out there was a little problem with the heating but it will be fixed ASAP. We both started with a beer and both were good. Earlier over the weekend we had stopped at 2 other breweries and these beers were the best! I had a pulled pork sandwich which was tasty and the perfect size. I tried all of the sauces and most were better than any I've ever had elsewhere. My boyfriend had a sausage sandwich which he also thought was excellent. The staff was friendly! The decor was simple and clean. Maybe they could use a little more on the decor side of things. There are plenty of TV's for watching sports. The parking lot may start to get packed because the quality of the food, beer and staff is top notch!!!

Well rounded variety of craft beers and delicious barbecue! The staff was great and the place is clean! Steel Tank Brewing is a Veteran owned business with a slight military theme. Beer flights are served in ammo boxes I didn't always enjoy IPA'S but I do now, and they have 2 or 3, but they also have the malty, lager, ale, and other styles to please most palates. I tried many! Not all of them, but nine total. I liked them all, except for their coffee stout, it was in my friends flight and she wasn't a fan either. The food was delicious. Me and the Mrs shared a brisket and chicken dinner that came with two sides and corned bread. We picked cheesey potatoes and Coleslaw. I like their version of Coleslaw, it was thicker and I think it might have had apples in it? If you like brisket you should try theirs, it was one of the best I've had, seriously! The only pic I have is after I dug into it, sorry! It was moist and flavorful with a nice bark. Our server even asked if we preferred lean or fatty. I said it's all good, lol. It wasn't fatty except for the charred bark. Our friend and her son had ribs with beans and mac and cheese. The ribs come out "wet" but if you prefer without sauce let them know. Speaking of sauce, they have at least 5 sauces i think, maybe more, I don't use sauce, but I tried them and they were good. We all enjoyed our food. The beans were on the spicy side, just like in the description, I liked them, but they were too much for the kid, lol. Edit: no liquor here, but they have wine.

Chicken pot pie from Steel Tank

I went to Steel Tank last night for dinner. Since Thursday is the only night they have Chicken Pot Pie, I decided to have that. It was very good! The presentation was spot on. The crust was, I think, puff pastry, a pleasant surprise! I probably have enough leftover for two meals!

    Salmon and four cheese quesadilla

Bartender was great. Beer was good and they had a good selection. The brown ale was very good. Had a salmon and four cheese quesadilla which was excellent.

    Chicken Wings

Truly redeemed my experience eating at restaurants! The service was amazing! Prices were average but the meals delivered were over the top! This is a truly amazing restaurant and brew pub. Didn't even mention the beer. Over 20 beers brewed on location and the ones we picked "Sargent" & "Jamming Jenny" was top notch! Thank you!

Limited menu. Too much of military theme. Poor selection of draft beer. Very rigid ambiance. I couldn't find anything I liked to eat.

Compared to other German Markets it is still quite small but it was packed and I heard good things about it this year too. It's a great boost to the economy of such a pretty little town. Much of what you will find are jewelry, trinkets, handmade goods and soaps. But if you don't like what the Christmas market has to offer then feel free to visit the shops around town. Many of the shops ans bars actually had pop-ups in the upper floors that were selling goods too. Don't be afraid to ask or explore if you see other people milling around near stairwells. What made this one stand out, and wanting to come back, was the beer hall. Music, food, drinks, tons of strangers. It's not my normal cup of tea but it was definitely a reason to stay and warm up a bit. And once you've had enough of that, go outside, buy a cup of cocoa and sit by the fire or walk around town to take in the sites. It's really pretty at night. And, buy a giant pretzel when you go. And don't share it unless you have to. So good! Parking was the only issue I've had here. We ended up parking down near the courthouse I think, but be prepared to drive in a few circles looking for spots to open up. The walk is never too far but it can be a bit agonizing finding the perfect fit if you are awful at parallel parking like I am. From my experience prices are fair but look around at everything first unless there is a one of a kind item you must buy. Just like anywhere else, there are some multiples, so you can find a similar or same item for less at another booth - depending on how competitive the vendors are with pricing.

We were pretty late due to the fact that there were zero spots available. I definitely feel like this is a common theme in the restaurant industry; over booking reservations, over seating walk-in tables . Service wise, food came pretty fast! I ordered the Caprese pizza and it was okay! I also had a glass of wine that unfortunately was never offered to be refilled. The restrooms were clean and well kept! Not one person came in 20 minutes to check on her or ask if she wanted anything to drink while she waited. When the two of us arrived, we ordered drinks right away and an appetizer as soon as the waiter came. The beer and the artichoke dip were amazing! Yum! I personally ordered the Southwest Ranch Salad. When it arrived, I knew right away that It wasn't going to be very good. It was a plain looking salad but not many other salad choices that looked good to me at the time. The salad was made with chicken thighs, which struck me as a little different from the beginning and is a cheaper meat. There was maybe six tiny little chicken thighs on the plate. The buttermilk fried breading was so over powering and when I cut into the chicken thighs, there were strings of tendons and very fatty. Multiple pieces I couldn't eat. It was not a good salad. The other two people I came with said their sandwiches were "okay, but nothing special". Sadly we are not rushing back.

I looked at him and said what and he said it again did you just piss on my floor I said no my zipper was down and I secured it and he then walked away, adding to the embarrassment of walking into a public establishment having my fly down. I'm a liquor store and it's a liquor. That's why it came up. I don't carry it. In return, I responded, whoa spin the wheel, big spender. Then I thought he was going to hang up on me, but he didn't. He just responded. Good luck in your quest. All I have to say is reputation, goes a long ways as does word-of-mouth. You need to work on your customer skills because if I were an alcoholic which I'm not, and you were the last liquor store on the planet I would never drink again!
