    Specials for This Week!

Stopped here with a big group, and we all really enjoyed the food and our experience. Prices were great, especially for the portions we received. They were able to split the check which was so helpful for us. Although we stopped by for a work lunch, I would definitely come back for a lunch with friends or family!

It felt like I walked into my grandma's kitchen with a tasty open faced turkey sandwich and pecan crusted chicken sandwich served hot! Great friendly service!

Cornerstone was a delightful and delicious find!! They have a great menu. Pot roast, meatloaf, burgers... a nice selection of refreshing wine too. Very pleasant service.

The owner is one of the nicest people you will meet and you can see the sheer passion just oozing from him. He makes you feel like a guest in his own home and he is so obviously proud of the food he serves. That pride is well deserved -- this is some of the best Venezuelan food I've ever had, anywhere in the world. The pabéllon and the reina pepeada are especially worthy of mention, with the pabéllon in specific being one of the best things I've ever eaten. The yuca frita is delightful -- fried to perfection, with a delicious chimmichuri-esque drizzle. The kids arepa is hilarious and hilariously good -- a ham and cheese delight tuned for the very German influenced palate around here. My kids and I hope to sample every last item on the menu. My only worry is that this is not a style of food that generally gets a lot of attention in this town -- this place is always rather empty whenever I come. I would love to see lines out the door, because that's what this place deserves, and that's how good the food is here. The fate of many ethnic restaurants in this area seems to be to go under -- and oftentimes that's not commentary on the quality of the food. The palate of the general population in this area tends to be less adventurous, and that puts restaurants like this at a disadvantage. That is to say: please come experience this place. Please come eat here. Please help make sure that this place sticks around.

It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze. Everything was delicious. Dessert - The restaurant was kind enough to serve my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday. It was amazing, but we were so full we could only manage a few bites. Will definitely be back!!

It was an early seating 5:00. We were guided through a fairly empty dining room to the upstairs room. There was one couple already seated in an otherwise empty room. We were seated immediately next to them..... we may as well have been sitting at their table. I not only thought this strange but actually a bit rude. But, I did not make an objection. The food at this restaurant is always good and the wild game selection along with the specials are usually the good bets. In the past the wine list was more cost friendly but still not bad. My only criticism of the menu is the rather limited appetizer selection. Our entrees were very good but overall the experience was stilted by the poor judgement of the hostess serving us.

My mom knows the owner, Meg, and she is such a wonderful presence!! The storefront itself is so cute, I love that it's in a little house and there's plenty of space inside for sitting, groups, and events! When we came on Saturday there was actually a baby shower happening in the main room and I thought the space was perfect for this. I ordered a glow smoothie, matcha latte, and a carrot muffin. The muffin was delicious - tasted very healthy but also sweet and was the perfect morning treat after a workout. The smoothie was also great and pretty filling. The matcha was amazing. I've had matcha at a few different places in Delafield and have not been super thrilled about them. This one was great and I would 100% recommend it - not too sweet and didn't just taste like oat milk. Meg told us that in order to serve this tea, the matcha company basically had to interview her and instruct her on the best ceremonial practices. I thought that the care the servers put into the matcha was really special. Overall, such a great space to stop by if you're in the area or are in need of a gathering place!! Of the bookmarks I had within reasonable driving distance, Sideliners Pub & Grill intrigued me the most. I ended up ordering the three piece beer battered perch with potato pancakes for the side and wings for an appetizer with half Cajun dry rub and half Jamaican BBQ jerk sauce. I thought it was interesting that the jerk sauce was specifically labeled as "Jamaican BBQ jerk" and it ended up being an accurate description. It was more BBQ flavored than jerk flavored and had almost no heat to it like jerk normal does. The Cajun rub, on the other hand, had great heat and Cajun flavor. The jerk sauce wasn't bad, but my preference was the Cajun rub. In a picture I saw of the potato pancakes they looked like they were Italian breaded, similar to mozzarella sticks. Again, I was intrigued. Unfortunately, the pancakes didn't live up to my expectations. The breading didn't have much Italian seasoning and the pancakes were like mashed potatoes formed into disks rather than more common potato pancakes that are shredded potato flavored with onion. The pancakes were my least favorite part of the meal. The perch didn't taste like yellow lake perch and was probably something cheaper like pike perch. Even though I did like the beer batter, it wasn't exactly was I was hoping for when I ordered perch, but it wasn't bad.

Stopped in with a friend for some lunch. It was about half full, and there were mostly individuals or couple seated in the dining area.
