Amazing service and delicious food! We like to find local places unique to that city. The Copper Kitchen was such a place. The food cooked to perfection and the service was truly delightful and very friendly. Every worker in the place was constantly working to help their customers. But let's go back to the food. It was so wonderful and so fresh, itneas all cooked to order with fresh veggies. Our hasbrowns were even fresh and not frozen. Amazing. Plus, the coffee was very good. For some reason there aren't a lot of traditional family diners in Milwaukee, this is your best choice south of Miss Katie's Diner and east of Zebbs and Omega. Good standard American high cholesterol breakfasts, their diner lunches are okay. Breakfast and specials are affordable, you can still get the bottomless cup of high octane coffee here. The waitress calls me Honey, so that's all I need in a neighborhood diner. read more

Very standard dinner. Our server was great she was attentive and very sweet. I had the veggie omelet it was thin and crispy with a decent filling ratio. The hashbrowns could have been crispier and needed salt and pepper. The pancake was very fluffy and on the sweet side. Wife and I happened to visit the area in the early afternoon. After shopping at the Polish market next door we decided on having a late (2:15...they close at 3:00) breakfast. Greeted by a very nice server who immediately made us both feel welcome and never made us feel rushed, even though it was close to closing. Breakfast (Cali omlette with bacon for me and turkey bacon and eggs for the Mrs.) was simple...made with care and quite delicious, and the freshly made coffee was on point. On whim, we decided to give this place a try. At first glance, what low prices! Copper Kitchen is definitely budget friendly. The service was fine. Our food was ok just not great. We both agreed this would be a good place to go to if we were very hungover. I think Landmark Family restaurant is a better option over this place. read more

Uhhhhg I'm very indifferent about my first time being here. Food was good. Just good, nothing out of this world that makes me say oh I'm definitely coming back! French toast was plain, biscuits and gravy were different but in a good way and skillet was great. Our server (a man, didn't catch his name) was amazing and attentive. However the other lady server was so loud and obnoxious we couldn't talk among ourselves because her voice filled up the restaurant with whatever drama she was talking about. The soccer game we had been watching at home was playing on the tv when we got there, so that was outstanding! It was a great atmosphere and everyone made us feel welcome. Unhygienic practices, the table where we were seated was sticky. I saw the waitress preparing our bread basket, she takes the bread out of the bag with tongs and proceeds to arrange the rolls on the plate with her barehands. I brought it up, and she says her hands are clean. And states "thousands of people have touched things". I worked in a restaurant your supposed to keep the manual handling of food to a minimum. At this point the food has not reached our table and we just want to leave. The owner/manager? Comes out and says we have to pay for all the food. We have a back and forth and then we are told to "just go". All because i pointed out an unhealthy practice, and was too disgusted to eat there. read more

Like a home cooked breakfast ! I had scrambled eggs and bacon. I wanted to try the pancakes , but didn't have the appetite. The meal comes with hash browns and toast of your choice . I also had coffee. My wife had the scrambled egg sandwich and American fries. Her order came with hash browns, and after we mentioned that to our waitress, she promptly took the plate back to the kitchen. The hash browns were replaced with the correct American fries within a couple minutes. I'm fussy about my scrambled eggs, asking they be well done, not runny. They were perfect. I like my bacon well done, and asked for that. They were perfect. I like my hash browns lightly fried, not crisp. I asked for that. They were perfect and delicious ! The coffee was ok. Heading out of Wisconsin from German Fest and we were famished. Googled pancakes and found this location and we got off the highways and doubled back to it. We had Apple Fritter French Toast x2 one with whipped cream and a side of eggs. Pancakes, eggs with American Cheese and well done meats just how I like it. Yum! Everything was very good. After seeing the mixed reviews I decided to stop by for breakfast and give them a try. I couldn't find any real menu so didn't know what to expect but it was cheap for breakfast, just a classic American breakfast and nothing fancy. The place is very dated with booths, tables and chairs and a small lunch counter. The most up to date thing is the flat screen tv above the lunch counter. For the gamblers there is a row of machines as you walk in. This was mostly a regular older crowd that the waitress new people by name. The menu has some really cheap prices so I was worried. The breakfast menu has all the regular options with about 10 specials including a Bloody Mary. I opted for the belt buster for $6.05, how belt buster could it be at that price. The belt buster is 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 eggs, American frys and toast with a small orange juice. The toast was Texas and fresh. The bacon was good and crispy. You could tell by the sheen of the sausage casing that it was going to be the better kind and it was with nice flavor, not the bland kind. The eggs were perfect sunny side up and the American frys were average. I experienced no service issues and my food come pretty quick so I don't understand some of the poor stars. My waitress was very friendly and on the ball. Overall I found this place to be a solid breakfast place at very reasonable prices, I will post a couple menu pictures. I would defiantly do breakfast here again and I can't complain about anything. read more

Good for what it is. When you walk in, you immediately see slot machines, so that kind of gives you an idea what the ambiance is. It's a divey little diner. It has a cute little bar to sit at with a kitschy mural painted on the wall behind. This is a good place for a cheap breakfast or lunch. There aren't an abundance of diners in the garden district, so it does the job. I've only just visited for the first time for breakfast, and I'll likely return. Breakfast is hard to screw up, so I'm curious how the rest of the menu is. Wish they were open a little later. read more

It was mine and my friends first time there. We based our decision on the pictures that were on the website. Not exactly what we received. Most of our food was cold, especially the eggs. My daughter ordered a crepe that came with extra seasoning (hair) and the breakfast sandwich my friends husband ordered should never have been served. The sandwich was made with burnt toast, no mayo or butter, an egg and burnt, not crispy, bacon. When we told the waitress the eggs were cold, she took them and microwaved them instead of having them remade. She brings the over medium yokey eggs back overly cooked from the microwave. Also the chicken and rice soup tasted very good but the rice was a little raw. One of our dishes was taken off the bill. We were not trying to complain to the waitress but our food was not appealing and was just not made very well. read more

Well....I was here with the two previous yelpers and I guess I could add a bit more... I enjoyed their Copper Kitchen Skillet. It had tomatoes, bacon, and onions and I chose to have my eggs scrambled. It's topped with two slices of american cheese and NOT served in a skillet which was very disappointing. My toast was awesome. Which is odd to say because it's....well, toasted bread. Oh well. The diet Pepsi was awesome! I love fountain pop! I was absolutely NOT a fan of the pancakes or sausage. Our server was lovely but the guy who greeted/seated us was too annoyed to care about anything but the fact that we pulled him away from being slumped over at the counter watching the bball game. He'll get over it, I did. Seemed like a good place for families and people over 50. They had a nice little country lookin' banquet hall. The overall feel of this place was as if we were in southern backwoods IL or WI and not a mile from the Milwaukee airport. Great prices! It was under $30 for 3 of us before tip. read more

This is a nice inexpensive diner to stop at for a nice breakfast. We simply had the eggs and toast but overall the service was good and the place was nice. There were several lights burned out though and the place could use some maintenance. Also this was the first time I have ever seen a honey substitute, I was surprised but also disappointed. But the prices are low and the food is good. Just don't expect organic, cage free, or anything special. read more

We used to live just up the street from this place. It's really hit or miss on the whole service thing. If you are in a hurry, your food will take forever to show up. If you have all day the food will be out instantly. The wait staff is generally friendly. It's a diner. You know the drill. The food is alright. It's nothing special and there's much better in MKE. It does the job in a pinch. We pretty much gave up on this place after awhile. Best if you live near the Tippecanoe Library and are too lazy to head to a better diner. read more

And the pancakes we shared weren't all that good either. My friends each had skillets and said they were delicious, so maybe MAYBE, if I am back on the road to Milwaukee again I'll give it another shot, but it's not likely.
