So, we came on a saturday because they advertise to have the best Prime Rib in town. They had a big party there and after waiting 20 minutes for a table we ordered drinks and then we were told that they were out of the prime rib. WHAT? They did this same thing to 3 other couples that came in after us. All of them got up and left.. we should have too. The Bloody Mary is meh... lots of stuff crammed in but, not much taste. Where is the Zippy Zesty Spice that it should have? We ordered the pork chops that were dry. After the big party left they started telling people they had the prime rib again... We couldn't believe it! YUP... we watched them bring it out... CRAZY! We think the hostess should have said something right away BEFORE we were seated and had drinks. Well prepared dishes, proportioned well and savory. The service was friendly and attentive. The band was spectacular and unexpected.

The customer service here was horrible. The waitress didn't give us her name. She blanket said, she doesn't unless it's asked of her...she also didn't offer the regular fish fry, instead of AYCE option with then notification that we could upgrade. It was like she forgot the customer in the customer service of her job responsibility. I will not return. FYI this isn't the spot of you're of color. We have been going to Final Approach almost every Friday for a while now. the fish fry is good, but growing up in the south and eating fried bass, catfish and bream - the fish fry up here isn't for me. I love the 747 burger, Buffalo chicken sandwhich and the walleye is delicious. They have some really great salads too. Came during Lent and it was really busy. I opted to order my good to go at the bar. Bartender, Buddy, was very nice, even though he looked to be very busy. Food was wrapped in foil so it remained warm until I came home. Husband and I ordered two cod dinners with fries. This is quite possibly the best batter I have ever had. It was light and flavorful and the almost sweet vinegar coleslaw was off the hook. Next time I will come earlier and see what else they have to enjoy. NICE job cooks! read more

This was our first time eating here. We went on a Saturday around 6:00 and had no idea they had live music that night. We decided to stay and see what is was like even with a wait to be seated. The food was good and the entertainment was OUTSTANDING! My only COMPLAINT was our waitress. She complained a few times about having a bad night. I understand but it is your job to be friendly to your customers even if your having problems. It took forever to get our bread, soup and salad and I had to flag her down just to get a refill on a drink. After being served our food she never came back to see if we liked it or if we needed anything. I had to finish my meal drinking a bottled water I happen to have in my purse because she was nowhere to be found. Went there yesterday for Easter dinner and they had only 3 choices: prime rib, pork loin and ham. Three of us tried each of the 3 dinner choices and they totally sucked and were way overpriced. Prime rib looked gray and tough, ham was cut thick with a sweet sauce over it (blah!) and the pork loin was blah too. Ice cream scoop of garlic mashed that had the skin in - yuck! I've never written a bad review. That's about to change. Waited forever for a table, even though we were "next on the list." Then had horrible service. We asked for a cracker basket when the food was taking so long and literally got tossed a single package of oyster crackers. Waited over an hour for our food. After 30 min, we were told our food would be longer than normal because a large party was ahead of us. That "large party" was 15 people and if that throws off the kitchen that much, they should have told us before we ordered. Food was awful. Finally gave up on trying to cut the pork chops. Went for the all-you-can-eat crab legs with wife and kids. Service was top notch...even the other waitstaff paid visits to entertain my children as I ordered up my 3rd bucket, which was delivered with a smile, beverage refill and extra napkins. First visit to Final Approach, and my final visit. Stopped there after picking up family from the airport. The beer battered cod fish fry is average, at best - overly battered and greasy. You can get fish like this all over town. The coleslaw was good, but you don't go out for coleslaw. Potato pancakes are horrible. With Milwaukee being a Polish/German town, good potato pancakes should be a given. Personally, I'd welcome paying $3-$4 more for better quality fish and potato pancakes that are edible.
