Delicious Old fashioneds (the small one is 3x the price but can't taste any difference)
    David P.

FIG delivers a really unique vibe--think steakhouse meets organic outdoors. It feels elevated but still relaxed, and from the moment we arrived, everything was easy and welcoming. Accessibility-wise, it's a win: smooth roll-in entrance and an accessible bathroom that's actually usable. Service throughout the night was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The food was stellar--easily some of the best I've ever had. One of those meals where every dish hits, and a few truly stand out. Cocktails overall were outstanding, but there was one hiccup worth noting. There's a "regular" Old Fashioned and options to "elevate," which significantly increases the price. My wife had difficulty reading the menu and relied on the server, who suggested the upgrade without clearly explaining the cost. She ended up with a $45 Old Fashioned that was noticeably smaller than my standard one--and honestly not as good. We mentioned it, but didn't get much beyond a polite acknowledgment. That said, it didn't take away from what was otherwise a fantastic night. Still an easy 5 stars--honestly, it deserves 6. Great service, exceptional food, strong accessibility, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend everyone give FIG a try.

Food Is Good, says FIG in Charleston and I couldn't agree more. This is one of those places where you sit down and immediately trust them with your life. They know everything about fish! They must have magic fishermen! The encrusted flounder was...I don't know how something could be this good. Perfectly cooked! You know that crunch we're always chasing in a bite? This is it. FIG quietly serves one of the best seafood meals you'll have and lets you spiral about it later. I rarely go back to restaurants because I always want to try new ones. This was my 3rd time going to FIG. Let that be the review. Very dark so bring those reading glasses.

It's true what everyone says about this place. Fantastic dining experience from the minute you walk in the door. The flavor combinations are fun and the twists on preparation keep you guessing at how the plate will look when it arrives at the table. Food and drinks at the highest level! This was one of the best meals of our week-long Charleston food extravaganza trip.

FIG is a culinary experience and must try in Charleston! It's perfect for a celebration, date night, or nice night out on the town. The ambience is similar to a modernized classic steakhouse; the service is top of the line & it's truly a great dining experience. Everything here tastes phenomenal! The steak was cooked to perfection; both the gnocchi & the ravioli were amazing pasta dishes & the flavors were incredible. The drinks were refreshing & well balanced, & the Carry On was a great way to end the meal!

The service at FIG is excellent and the food is very good. Started with the ravioli stuffed with blue crab and it was delicious and gnocchi and lamb ragu. For dinner I had the steak and it was good. Others had the bouliabase and tilefish. The cocktails were done well, all in all a very good dinner experience.

Ended my Charleston adventures with some warm, French cuisine and decided to keep going with some seafood! Tried out some broiled oysters with ají dulce and Bouillabaisse (French fish stew with shrimp) which really hit the spot in this cold weather (I'm clearly from Cali lol ). Everything was really rich but Great meal to end my trip

FIG was good, but not my favorite. Inside was definitely a great vibe for a date night or to celebrate with a small group a special occasion. I went with a small group of friends and ordered a good amount and really only two things stuck out to me. Our server was great, high energy and knowledgeable, however the wait for our food was extremely long. Ordered: - Huge Spritz and Spicy Smokey Marg : 5/5 good drinks! - Broiled Island Oysters: 4/5 good flavor but not the best I've had - Peach Tomato Tartine: 5/5 100% would go eat this again - Opah: 4/5 yummy fish, didn't love the corn with it - Beef Tartare: 3/5 really had no flavor. I order this pretty much everywhere I go and this was just not good. - Potato Puree: 5/5 actually really yummy. The brown butter was insane. - Sticky Sorghum Pudding: OMG. Now this was AMAZING. I'd go back solely for this pudding. So rich yet light like I could eat two more plates of it.

    Tartare

The gnocchi and the sticky pudding brings this review up from a 3 range to a 4 star range! I really wanted to love this restaurant and I did really like it but the seasonings were off. Some things were extremely salty (and I love salt) while other things (fish) had no seasoning/flavor. The service was great and I would definitely come back as the menu rotates and maybe we just didn't have the best picks The 2 classics on the menu (gnocchi and dessert) were 10/10.

I've been waiting to eat at Fig, and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable, and the food was wonderful in presentation and taste. The hidden gem is the pâté - exceptional. My friends loved the gnocchi bolognese. My wagyu bavette was delicious but not my favorite steak texture, a bit soft. Great wine list, and a beautiful restaurant.

This was the best meal I had in Charleston, which says a lot given the calibre of restaurants in the city. The oysters with the curry sauce were possibly the best oysters I've ever had, and certainly the most unique. Creative cocktails made by an award-winning bartender who gave us excellent service.

Got a late reservation here for a Friday birthday dinner and they definitely delivered. Had a great server who helped us on what to order and we loved everything we got. Not everything pictured but oysters were great, seafood was good but the gnocchi was amazing. I am still thinking about it! I am usually not a huge fan of big ricotta gnocchi but this truly melted in your mouth. My least favorite things were the cocktails - just didn't love what we tried but risk you take with random drinks outside the norm. Definitely recommend coming here for some yummy food! Cute atmosphere and we enjoyed sitting at the booths on the side for a more intimate seating experience.

There's a reason this place is always so busy. It was AMAZING. We had the best waiter ever: Robert. Who is a trained and experienced Chef himself, so the way described every dish was awesome. He gave us the best recommendations for food and wine. I got the broiled oysters (best thing I've ever tasted) and the special truffle Agnolotti pasta where they bring the truffle to your table and shave it onto the dish in front of you (so so good). Wine was perfect. Even the bread they brought out for my mom's bouillabaisse was delish. 10/10. Best meal EVER. No complaints.

We had a lovely dinner at FIG. I must say the photos on yelp do not do this place justice. Our server was so knowledgeable about all the dishes and made amazing recommendations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We loved everything we tried.

    Ask the Community - FIG

Is there a bar to eat at? Is it walk-up?

Yes there is a bar and you can walk in, but it was pretty crowded the night we were there.

    What is the corkage?

It's a charge for every bottle of wine consumed on the premises that was purchased elsewhere.

Is there a military discount offered?

    Not sure

    Any vegan options?

Yes! I am mostly plant based. They have fresh vegetables & pastas. The burnt eggplant was amazing!!!!

Does Fig have any outdoor tables for COVID safer dining?

They had a couple small tables out front that seats 2 - but not sure how comfortable you are with pedestrian traffic.

Has anyone tried the fish and how is it? In FL and many places jacks and trigger fish are considered trash fish, only to be used for bait. Curious if it's worth ordering? Or avoid it like most places?? Thanks.

They're definitely not trash fish around here, and I'd say they're worth ordering.

    Are there Vegetarian options?

Yes, there are several Vegetarian options.

Does the menu change often or daily?

They have some set things, but they change the menu weekly.

Crazy to bring kids? They eat out a lot and are ok to sit and wait (they don't expect to run around), but is it a waste?

Not crazy! it is a quieter restaurant with amber lighting but the food is good and the kids would probably love the stuffed gnocchi

They had the texture and flavor of ribs but were made from corn and served with an incredible chipotle dipping sauce that brought everything together perfectly! For our main dish, we ordered the spinach and feta pita, which was warm, gooey, and packed with flavor. The pita was stuffed with spinach and feta, making it rich and comforting--almost like a warm hug. It also came with a fresh side salad that was tangy and refreshing, which balanced the richness of the pita really well! I do wish that the pita was a bit more flavorful on the inside, not just the outside. My husband also ordered an Old Fashioned and said it was excellent. It's modern, fresh and the staff are nice. I give the entire place 4 stars because their food is good, I did try something I never had before that I would give a 3 star rating though. I decided to get the blueberry glazed chicken wings. The staff said that they were amazing and that the blueberry sauce was like a bbq sauce with a hint of blueberry. I thought why not. I love a good chicken wing. The chicken was cooked well, it was moist in the center but it was like the chicken was swimming in blueberry puree. There was little bbq sauce flavor and tasted like straight blueberries, what was more disappointing was the sauce was so drenched on it that the crisp of the wing was gone, it was soggy. No one likes a soggy chicken wing. If I ever got these again which I probably wouldn't, I would ask for the sauce on the side or light sauce. This place is worth going to if you're in the area, the food is good and staff are nice, but I would stay away from the wings in my opinion.

Everything was delicious. My pork chop did come out a little dry, but when I mentioned it, our waitress didn't hesitate at all. She immediately took it back and insisted on bringing a new one, making me feel completely comfortable about saying something. While I waited, she brought me a complimentary soup, which was such a thoughtful touch, and the replacement came out quickly. The manager personally brought out the new dish and waited while I cut into it to make sure it was perfect. She even came back later to check again. That level of attention to detail really stood out. To top it off, they brought out dessert and a round of champagne for the table. I wasn't drinking, and they noticed -- so they brought me a mocktail without me even asking. That kind of attentiveness is rare. Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.
