I've had the Impossible Burger elsewhere prior to my visit here, so I know how amazingly juicy and delicious it can be when properly prepared. Here, the Impossible patty is dust-dry and way overcooked :( Topped with typical fare-- cold cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, relish, and onions-- this burger is average at best. But with below-average patty grill work and presentation, it was definitely a sub-par "meh" experience. Add in the fact that they also got our order wrong, turn that "meh" into "eh" nty :( Parking in this plaza is a nightmare. Food-wise, the fries are okay and lemonade is nicely tart though. Ordered a medium burger with everything except Mayo and had the onions grilled instead of raw. It came out just as I ordered! It was made fresh, hot and juicy. Also got the fried onion rings. They were breaded lightly and not greasy. What goes perfectly with a burger?? Yep...a Chocolate shake! The lady at the counter was so nice and gave us samples to try. The pumpkin spice tastes just like pumpkin pie...but I still went with my favorite, the chocolate! She also asked us how our meal was, and if we needed anything and brought us extra ketchup. The place was clean and the service was quick and friendly. It was a bit noisy outside, as there was a very large group of bikers there. However, it didn't bother us since we stayed inside. Before I start my rant let me start by making it clear that I have been coming here for years. I have ordered $100 orders at few times and I have NEVER, EVER - EVER had a bad thing to say about this place; I placed my order of 2 combos - xl combo and a 1000 island combo of which I asked to be xl as well. When taking my order I assumed that she heard me, later on claiming and arguing that I ordered it as is. She was obviously distracted, taking 10 minutes to take the order prior to me, another 2 combo order. When the order arrived at the table I asked the youngster who brought the order if the burger in front of me was an XL, at it was a bit smaller that the Xl That was also brought for my wife. He politely told me that he was bringing what he seen on the slip. The cashier then attempted to set me straight when she came to my table and started to argue her point. And if I wanted it that I Would have to pay extra. Noted, "but this is not how I ordered it!" She repeated herself 3 times then I was like - "then give me a full refund!" When the shift manager, or who ever this lady was came to the register I told her the story and the cashier kept on arguing and calling me a liar - that she's worked there for 4 years, blah blah blah. I immediately called the cashier an idiot and requested my refund . The manager asked the following - "well, did you eat any of it?" "I need for you to bring me the tray!" We hadn't touch the food and abruptly negated her request. The Manager touched the register and said "find here's your refund!" Assuming I had paid with a card. I advised her that I paid cash and seemed overly frustrated. She paid me back with a crap load of ones and 5's. So be it, if she wants to be out of change during lunch time. Both ladies obviously need some training. I invite the owner of this establishment to review the tape and respond to this review. I have been a patron of Fat Burger since the 80's and never have I encountered this type Of behavior. I've been wanting to try the new vegan milkshakes at certain Fatburger locations, and I got the chance to finally go as I was driving back from LAX. I got a completely vegan meal: The Impossible burger finally has vegan cheese (Daiya) and other toppings, as well as the new vegan milkshake. There are two options: vanilla and strawberry. I got strawberry to go out of my comfort zone, and I'm glad I did. Super delicious! They even have non-dairy whipped cream for the milkshake. The people working that night were wonderfully helpful and friendly, despite it being one hour to close (which I know can be the breaking point when working in the food industry). The downsize is that it is expensive to eat a vegan meal here (but that's pretty standard). The milkshake alone is $9.99 (though can be included as a drink to make it a combo). I can't remember how much the burger was, but probably close to $14. I think if it was a few bucks cheaper (the meal in general), I probably would rate the place a whole 5 stars. Was disappointed today, ordered turkey burger meal and a regular burger with skinny fries and a cup for water. $41.00+ after 15% tip. I checked receipt and saw that there is extra charge for grilled onions and extra charge for thousand Island dressing. Really? How about deducting the cost of the raw onion if the establishment of is charging extra for grilled. Or at least tell the customer burger is just pattie and bread, everything else is extra. Last time I was here, this didn't happen. I noticed that I was charged $3.75 for the cup of water I requested. I told the man who seemed to be the owner and instead of refunding the cost to my credit card which would include the tax, he just gave me $3.75 cash back. Not trying to be an "Adam Henry" but if you're gonna be charging extra for thousand island and not telling the customer that is extra‍. Well aftet a while my order came and no skinny fies. I checked receipt and saw that I wasn't charged for it at the time I clearly requested skinny fries. I didn't want to wait more time to order so no fries. Love that they have gluten free buns here. The only place I can enjoy a burger with gluten free buns. Their fries are a hit or miss. When they're good, they're good! But they sometime taste stale. Fat burgers is fat burger. Decent good burger. This review is not so much about the food. It's more about the manager. He's a salesman. He speaks fast like one so you don't have time to think how you want your burger. He'll ask quickly if you want cheese (cost $1.25), and other toppings. You say no. So he'll quickly ask if you want other extra toppings. I hate these fast selling tactics to make an extra sale. On top of all this, both restroom was out of service at the same time. I really had to use the restroom really bad. So, I had to go next door restaurant to buy something to use their restroom. As a customer that has met the owner and sought forth service for myself and family from this establishment for years, this has to be the worst service I have ever received from a fast food establishment. My order was placed via phone to only realize after an item on my meal was incorrect. This additional item served as an extra fee. As a person that understands we all make mistakes I was approached by two employees that identified the issue and offered a fresh burger. In the process another young lady employee wanted to take matters into her own hands by consulting with the team regarding the order. Instead of asking for money back on an additional item that I did not request I continued to remain calm. The employee (women) then decided to lecture me on this being my fault as a customer and that next time they will not accommodate. Immediately that unnecessary comment rattle through room and upset another customer that overheard the mistake on the establishment. Moving forward the burger was prepared and confirmation was asked if all items was correct second time around. Instead of responding professionally the women employee responded yes papas everything is there (very unprofessional) to only find out again for the second time the burger is incorrect. Upon my third return to the establishment another gentlemen that overheard the previous issue with my order is now engaged in a heated debate with all of the employees. I calmly made a request to include my ingredients on the side so I can depart the chaos. Instead they continued to be hostile towards the gentlemen and I. A Latino young man (employee) approached the 65 year old male with his hands outward as if he was ready to touch him. Immediately as customer that is dealing with his own issues with the restaurant had to deescalate the situation by informing the employee to not touch the customer and ask the 65 year old gentlemen to leave because the establishment was being unreasonable and unprofessional. As a customer that has visited this establishment for over a decade should not have two be lectured by an employee, receive two wrong orders on the same item and have to deescalate an issue with other customers that the establishment was completely responsible for. I've come here often since it's one of only a handful of places in the area to eat when you work in the area, but it's far from good. I've tried multiple types of chicken wings they're all dry. The burger patties are cooked to death and I love a well done burger but these are beyond yet. At this point I come in for the fries and the Reese's PB milkshake they have which is amazing. This has to be the best looking Fat Burger facility going. It's still fairly new. I've passed by it a thousand times when traveling East at the beginning of the 91 Freeway. It looked good from outside, but I still wasn't expecting much when I went inside. But I was surprised. It was very nice. When you walk in the from door, there's a lot of free space. This was a surprise because I expected it to be more cramped. This location has a very spread-out feel to it. It's a welcomed feel. It's fairly quiet inside and this was also nice. We were greeted right away and offered a sample shake (a small sample cup). I thought that was cool even though I didn't try it. The staff is very friendly and they seem to work well together as a team. The burger was cooked just right. Everything from the bun to the meat and in between tasted really good. If you see this Fat Burger when passing through and feel the urge, don't be afraid to satisfy the need. These have 3 TVs inside, but all were showing soccer, so I had to knock them down 1 star. Got the medium size original burger with everything on it on a wheat bun and the fat fries. I thought the burger was a bit dry and the fries okay. Overall it was an okay experience, I did like how they had different options for your burger experience. I've been wanting to try Fatburger again for a while now. We used to go all the time after a night of drinking. (actually I drank while my friend always was dd. Thanks E) The one thing I love about Fatburger is that their burgers actually look like they use ground beef. Not like McDs or In N Out where their burgers are pounded and formed to form the perfectly round smooth patty. It might taste good but it just doesn't feel the same. These fatburgers are bumpy and rigid and actually have a good char to them. They are also fat enough to seal in the juices and sear the outside. I hate burgers cooked over-well. Yuck. Fat fries ROCK! Steak fries are my favorites and they cook these to perfection. I like to sprinkle some of their seasoned salt on top to give it a little kick here and there. Their chili fries are good as well.
