Tried the buffalo express wings for the first time after church yesterday. I had the lemon pepper wings and they were delicious Thought I was going to save a couple for my wife to try but it didn't happen. First time trying them so I got the smallest order of six pieces. Went to the location in Ladera shopping center off Centinela and la Cienega. Very clean and plenty of room to sit and eat. Staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a cheeseburger kid's meal and 6 bone-in buffalo wings and my total was a whopping $33.41 BEFORE tip. I was shocked to see their kids meals are $16, plus another $1.50 to add cheese. For that price, I was expecting a decent-sized burger to go along with the fries and drink. Instead, we got a mini burger not much bigger than a White Castle slider. My 6 year-old son finished it in 3 bites! I asked the staff why their kids meal is so expensive considering a full-sized single burger meal is only $2 more, and the server said she normally tells parents they're better off ordering a regular meal, but my cashier did not mention it. I placed my order inside the restaurant to go. The owner Mike took my order. He was very enthusiastic, kind and made good recommendations. I ordered an original fatburger with no onions, relish and pickles. I added on cheddar cheese and bacon. I completely forgot that these were add on's and would cost extra but I didn't mind since it was just one time. For my side I noticed they added curly fries to the menu . The last time I came it was only onion rings fat and skinny fries. Mike said the curly fries were good. I decided to go with them. I got the pink lemonade and Mike asked if I wanted sauce and told me the choices. I went with 1000 island sauce, however, I didn't know that 2 cups of it would cost an extra dollar. My menu in total ended up costing $18. Wow. And to add on to it, they forgot to put my sauce in the bag. Overall, the customer service is good and the quality of the food was delicious. PANDEMICALLY SAFE: I have been here several times but, this is the first time during the pandemic. They have 6 four-seater tables on their patio, which is arranged so that you are more than socially distanced from the next table. INSIDE: As you order you will notice that they have a sheet of acrylic separating you from the employees and also, they have handsanitizer on the counter for customer usage. We travel with santizer and mini sanitizing spray botttles so we cleaned our own table... no big deal the food is worth it. This location stands out from most others in that they have the char, which is a flame fired grill to cook on but, you have to request it. If not your burger is cooked on a standard grill top. The service here has always been execptional. Inside is always clean. They really run a tight ship. I also like they deliver your food to you on the patio. I've been going to Fatburger for more than a decade and have never been charged extra for ranch. I wonder if the employee just didn't want to get the ranch or work. Since we were passing through Carson, we made a quick call to this location and confirmed that they had the Impossible Burger. I also researched to see if the buns are vegan (they are), and if they use separate cooking stations. As far as I can tell, it's prepped and cooked on shared equipment. So take note if that's important to you. A young lady at the register rang us up for the Impossible Burger minus the mayo. While she didn't do her job poorly, she did the bare minimum when she took our order. Which inspired the nearby manager to jump in and upsell me with grilled mushrooms and guacamole. Damn he's good!
